Admiral Jacket - Bwaa haaaa haaa haaa

The new Admiral Jacket is ridiculous. It must have been designed when Michael Jackson died.

On the other hand, here is a really cute jacket:

A Define Jacket in Black and White. I am loving this jacket. I'm not a fan of the Define that much. I like the style but the seaming in front is a bit showy for me. However, this version is freakin' awesome. Lululemon should put this one on their website.

I hope the website or my store gets the black/white define. Very flattering pattern in the front. I have a define and I like it but I miss the shape/shapeup jacket as a nice basic. I'm not passing judgement on the admiral jacket until I try it on in person. Both the full medal jacket from last year and the over the top jacket from this season looked a bit extreme on the rack and fabulous and flattering on (I get gobs of compliments on both of those pieces). PS: the lulu site added a bunch of pieces today....

The Admiral Jacket would be cute if it didn't have the stripes in front. It looks like something you'd wear in a marching band. The Over the Top and Full Metal are cuter than this.

Remember the Seinfeld episode with the pirate shirt that had ruffles? Yeah, I'm guessing that was the inspiration... Napoleon comes to mind as well.

I ordered the b/w define from the GEC and I'm very excited for it to arrive! Also, after much deliberation I decided to give the admiral a try in black and I ordered it. It didn't do ANYTHING for me via the photo on the website (the sleeves look very short, don't like the collar open/wide, looks very short in the torso, etc. BUT in the lulu facebook page under "things we love" there is a write up with the jacket on a "real" gal - it is in a lovely grey which they don't unfortunately have on the site :(, but I have to say that the jacket looks dang cute on her and I really like the collar folded up and the sleeves look long with the button area being like a thumb loop. Those photos changed my mind and I'm intrigued enough to give it a try (my store doesn't have them in). I'll let you know what I think when I get it in...

That Define jacket almost looks Chanel-ish :-)
