Cocoon Wrap in Real Life (Sounds like a pain in the ass to wear)

From a review on the LLL FB site: It runs very large - she normally wears and 8 and bought a 4. You need to be in front of a mirror to arrange it. It's a bit fussy to wear.

It's cute but exposes her crotch - just like the Pulse Wrap and the Sport Cardi.  It looks large in the armpits

This item is getting a ton of fb hype. I don't think I like the combo of the extra fabric in the shoulders with the lack of fabric over the crotch. Definitely a try-on item...please do a review when you can :)

hmmmm. looks very cute in the official lulu photo but the "real life" photo looks pretty sloppy and like it might make one look bigger than they really are because of the all over volume. Perhaps this just isnt the best shot of it.

I've been sucked into FB hype before. I'm going to try and break that habit this year. I've bought a few things people were salivating over and then after I wear it a couple of times I wonder what I was thinking.

Don't love this wrap, but I'll try it on in store if I get a chance.

It "exposes her crotch" becuase the went down two sizes! It should be worn in whatever size you normally buy. It also looks better with the sleeves pushed up to your elbows

It "exposes her crotch" because she went down two sizes! It is meant to be very loose. It also looks better with the sleeves pushed up to your elbows

I just bought this... thought I'd be a 12, didn't have any so I tired the largest they had, an 8. This was too big, though yes, it did stay open at the crotch. I settled on a 6; while it is open at the crotch (just wear a long tank or shirt under), it doesn't fit nearly as flat in the back as the photo on the site, mind bagged out A LOT. I'd rather not be swimming in it on top than have it close completely at the bottom.

I just got mine (mail order) in size 6. I'm 5'5" 120lbs with narrow shoulders, small chest & wide hips. It fits perfectly!
I love the sleeves - they are wing type sleeves & this is why there is extra fabric at the underarm. It's styled that way. Mine just covers my crotch & I have a long body so those with a shorter body and longer legs should have no problems.
In my books this lives up to the hype.
p.s. I don't think it's meant to be 'fitted.' If you want something form fitting then stick Lulu's other jackets.

Yes anonymous is right. This garment was made to be large and baggier. You are supposed to buy your normal size and have it loose. If you go down a size it becomes too short and the bottom part won't stay shut hence the crotch exposure. If your crotch shows, it means you got one way too small.
