Two In One Dress

Two In One Dress - Cute, Normal, Versatile - Wow!

Lululemon uploaded the super cute, normal looking, versatile Two In One Dress today. What is going on? No ruching, pleats, cowl necks, slits, or manifesto print plastered all over it. Just a nice, sleeveless tee shirt dress for summer in sedate colors at a not too insane price. Way to go, Lululemon!

The fact that it wasn't $100 really made me want it!

I almost bought one of these, I watched as every size in the black dress disappeared from the website, but then I thought, if I walked into any other store and saw a plain simple black summer dress....would I be willing to pay $78 for it? Don't get me wrong, for lulu, this is a good price....but it is not workout gear, it is just a dress!

Yes, it is less than $100 but it is basically just a long tank top. Nothing special about the styling at all. Not that you need a ton of "stuff" going on but a little detailing would be nice.

This kinda looks like something Lands End would sell as a bathing suit coverup.

I'm saving my money for a Run dress and a Beat the Heat dress.

My "Wow" is for the fact that they put out a simple dress for a change and didn't muck it up with pleats, gathers, neon racing stripes, a cowl neck, or whatever. If you like to stick with one brand for your clothes and were looking for a simple cover up dress, then I think you'd be happy with this offering. I do think the lines and proportions are rather ordinary. If you don't have a banging body to start with, the cut of this dress is not going to help you out. It could use some decorative seaming, edging or something to ooomph it up and make it truly distinctive but I think it's a step in the right direction for them.

It's a simple dress that probably costs less than $3 to make, and you can find at Target for $20. I think the only "WOW" factor is that Lulu can charge $78 because it has their logo on it. Pass.

It's definitely an improvement considering their recent designs. I'm hoping they bring back the beat the heat dress...I would take 1 in every color/pattern if they did!
