Pics of New Stuff

Define in Citron

I can't say I think the new zipper design is an improvement to the Define Jacket. I much prefer the old-style zipper.  What do you guys think?  I read the new zipper is metal rather than plastic. I don't know if that's true but if it is, I hope it's not the same zipper they used on the Flashback jackets. That zipper hurts when you rub your hand against it.

Defines with more subtle zippers and the hair tie pull

This photo showed up on the Saskatoon FB page. I'm not sure if this is Potion Purple or another purple. I almost think it's potion since the crops look like the static charcoal and potion Mynah crops. If it's a new purple, I like it.

I like the ombre fades on these gym bags. I wish lululemon would make tanks and tees that fade like this. They have come out with a few cotton tanks with the fade and a luxtreme top. I think it's such a pretty look.

Older Expression Tank and Trail Tech Shirt with an ombre fade

These are nice pinks but I think they are wasted in the men's line. I can't say I see a lot of men wearing pink at my gym. I especially like the top pink - bring it over to the women's side, lulu!

Agree on the pink color. It would be nice to see a PINK color, not neon, not pastel.

the men's pink in the top pink is actually seniorita pink! (so it's already been a women's colour)

Wow. I cannot picture a guy wearing seniorita pink, although I'm sure there are some...or very few, I should say.

What's with the pastel colours for men? They are not actually targeting the mass market.

The pink men's stuff looks horrible in my opinion. Just not sporty. I prefer the old define zipper. Love the dip dye bag.

Does anyone know what skirt she is wearing in the first picture??

pilatesmom said...

@anon above: looks like the run jog skirt (a skirt from last year that it seems like they are just now re-releasing). it might also be the run energy skirt currently available and released earlier this summer.

That trail tech ombre shirt is pretty cool!

It's been in the mid 90s here in NJ for the past week and a half now... Just looking at those Define jackets is making me warm.

Not sure about the guys stuff in pink. I know some guys who wear pink polos or the occasional pink dress shirt, but I don't know about workout wear... I haven't met a guy who wears fashionable work out clothes though, my hubby included.

I looked at the new define yesterday...I think the zipper is plastic with a large metal pull. Not sure if I like it either. Still waiting for them to fix the inside of the collar before I buy another.

On another note...someone mentioned that the run zoom singlet slips down on them...that is happening to me too. I wear a flow y underneath so all is well but it definitely slips during a workout. Maybe I needed to size down. CRB's do the same thing on me... Just picked up my hemmed CRB's and I think I will like the shorter length much better.

@Pattybea -- the zoom slipped on me and I wore a power y underneath as well -- I got rid of mine because I didn't like the fit and got the savage stripe power y instead (LOVE IT BTW)-- I am not a huge fan of the CRB either -- I really much prefer the tops with the built in bras -- with the exception of the modern racerback

OT -- i am totally stalking loot waiting for the flashbacks and free 2 b to show up -- where did they go!!!!

as far as the pink mens workout wear --i have slowly been slipping in lulu for my hubbys workout gear (they have such steals in loot for men - $39 hoodies, $9 swim shorts, $29 shorts) and trust me -- he would NOT wear the pink -- and I wouldn't want him to -- not a fan of that for men!

love the bag though!

@Anon 10:37 pm - Senorita pink, huh? It certainly looks different in that photo.

@anon 6:16 am - It's the Run: Jog Skirt.

@momof5 - I showed my husband the photo of the pink shorts and matching shirt and he would not wear that outfit in a million years. Some of my sons' surfwear clothes (Quiksilver, Volcom, etc.) have pink and other neon colors in it, but it's not a dominant color. I think you can have pink in men's stuff but I don't think Lululemon is doing it right.

@momof5: i'm sure the flashbacks are going to show up in loot the next time they upload. it is soooooo lame that the comments to them disappearing on FB is that "they are sold out." they had full color and size availablility one minute and are sold out the next? i think not.

Do you think the Flashbacks and Free 2 Bes will show up in loot? I don't think the hoodie styles show up in loot all that much. I can't recall. It is weird they removed them from the websites. They for certain did not sell out.

@pattybea & momof5: re: zoom singlet slipping. I haven't had a problem with it slipping on me. However, I think I am long in between my shoulder and top of my breasts. Also, I have a rather big chest. Maybe this tank works better on people with bigger chests. In some of the photos of educators I've seen wearing the tank, their Flow Y bras show above the tank, indicating the tank rides low on them/ straps are too long. Did your Flow Ys show above the Zoom Singlet when you wore it?

@luluaddict re zoom-- my power y did not show when I put it on -- but during my workout (kettelbelles) it was slipping -- not sure if it is the fabric or the design -- either way -- my rule is:if i have to fuss with it during a workout-- off to ebay it goes --

totally lame excuse about the hoodies being sold out -- they had every size of the white savage FB- puh-lease!

i ordered and received a white define last thursday and it had the hideous metal zipper. i contacted the GEC as they instructed to do and of course they were sold out. They acted like the metal zipper was a fluke but obviously it is their new (ugly) thing. I have so many defines and am sad that they are changing a good thing. i have to send my jacket in and then they are going to replace the zipper with the "old" one. I'm sure it'll look awful but i'm taking a chance because it can't look any worse than the metal one. I really do hate it. Good news is that i get to go to the Newport Beach store this weekend and i hope they are lenient with returns..i have two with no receipt. I am sick of my local showroom so i am hoping it is lulu mecca!!

I have 4 Run zoom singlets and mine don't slip at all. I wear a 6 and am a 32D. My flow Y doesn't even show. I love them and can't wait for my friend to get back from Canada with my savage green one.

I also bought the white define and was so excited to finally get one. I was shocked when I first saw the zipper. I didn't like it. I took it to my local store to show the girls there and they all loved it. They were shocked I was thinking of returning it. I still have it but I need to decide what to do by next Monday. I don't want to go through the trouble of sending it back and different zipper getting put on. I will most likely return it.

They are killing us, now more stuff in Loot and all this new stuff too! We got what we wished for ladies!

Regarding the run zoom singlet- My flow y does show and then shows more as I work out and the singlet slips. I don't feel the need to adjust it though and the look of having the flow y show does not bother me. I am small chested so perhaps I should try a smaller size.

Just bought a flashback jacket in potion purple. Me very happy. I have a halter hoodie in purple and I wear that all the time. It is perfect for the cool evenings and mornigs. Wore it on the boat at the lake and it was the perfect piece.
My run zoom singlet does not slip and I wear it every weekend for long runs of 10+ miles. It is my absolute favorite running top.

Re: Zoom Singlet
I'm surprised mine doesn't slip! I had slipping problems with the Pep tank. I am 5'2" and I'd say I'm shorter between the shoulders and bust. Like Luvlulu, I'm a 32D, size 6. I wear more supportive sports bras than the Flow Y as I wear this for running, so maybe that helps keep it up?

wow, flashback and free2be jackets in loot! impressive...

@anon,
thanks for pointing out the flashback jackets! Not a bad price... I just ordered an Energy SL this morning though!! Can't decide on grey with angel blue, or angel blue w/grey!

The name of the pink color in the top picture is 'Lightning' & was included in the men's seasonal color palette for spring/summer 2010. However, it is not included now if you use the 'shop by color' option. I really like it too, hopefully they use it in the future as a women's color.

The zoom singlet slips down on me too (I'm a 36B)- I think it has to do with a smaller chest maybe?

I didn't notice it so much during my run, but when I got home quite a bit of my sports bra was showing. As long as I don't have to futz with her during my run I don't mind.
