Small Upload Today - Nothing I Wanted

The Spring Fling tank looks awful on the model and received lots of mocking on Lululemon's facebook page. Why was it uploaded to the tanks section? It's more of a "top" than a workout tank.

The Halter Hoodie was also uploaded to the Tanks section. This should be in the jackets. It cute here on the model but I'm still not buying it unless it hits the markdown rack at half off.
Only the Lime and Potion Run: Energy SLs were uploaded today. Both have words on them. I was hoping for the Angel Blue version to save a trip to the store.

Only the Angel Blue Pep Tank was uploaded. I was hoping to see the Savage Green and Potion Purple versions.

On the positive side, the Potion Namaste wrap was uploaded. It's very pretty.

I'm not sure why you'd want a cinch at the bottom of your skirt (Run: Tracker Skirt). People were complaining that the Roll Down skirt poofed out too much on them so I can't see them liking this skirt.

I was crushed that they uploaded new colors in the Free 2B, but still no Potion Purple in the US.

I picked up the Empower Crops in Black/Potion though - I love the Empowers and didn't want to take the chance that my local store would sell out in my size or never get them in this colorway. And even though I don't like the words, I snagged the Run: Energy SL in Potion because I like the color so much. I can always return it if I decide I can't get past the slogan bit.

I ordered the Savasana wrap today in coal (already sold out on the Canadian side) to see what all the hype was about. I don't think I'll end up keeping it though because I look better in fitted things that show off my waist since I'm not a size 2. When I tried on the cacoon wrap before it wasn't overly flattering so I'll see. If not, back to the store it goes. So happy for free shipping.

Also, there's one old LUX back on the Canadian side in a size 8. I scored one last week in the charcoal (coal?) with the print along the hood. I think I'm keeping it and it'll be my first. I'm sure by now you've all read about the price tag mixup on the LUXs? I'm a little disgusted they're not honouring it for anyone as it's their mistake.

I'm happy with the 2 pairs of groovy run shorts I got last weekend. I had originally posted here saying I was thinking of getting the coal/white plaid ones but I ended up with coloured ones to match my tanks. Very pretty and they don't feel as short to me anymore.

hi. i started following your blog a few weeks ago (and LOVE it!).

Mynah tank works great on me and bought in black a week ago. i've got so many compliments so far. :) i'm so happy to see it in savage green today.

I did read about the price tags on the Luxes. It sounds to me like they had the old price tag and forgot to re-sticker or replace them with the new prices. It's shocking how much their prices have increased over the last few years.

Something similar happened to me in a store when I found an older, made in Canada pair of Clam Digger crops. It still had the old price tag of $54 even though they are now charging $72 for them. My store let me pay $54 for them.

@ChiRunner - I was hoping for the new Run:With It crops. I find the Empowers too long on me.

I am so tempted by the Potion Purple Energy SL - the color is so pretty - but I know the writing will bother me as I see it out of my peripheral vision. I got rid of my manifesto Run: Sport Henley because the words on my arms bothered me as they came into and out of my sight when walking and I didn't want people "reading" me.

@LuluAddict - I had high hopes for the Run:With It Crops, but when I tried them on I didn't think they were as flattering on me as the Empowers. I have pretty muscular calves and crops that hit just below the knee or at the thickest part of the muscle (like the Half Moons) juse make my calves look bigger. So I tend to go with the longer crops that hit a bit lower. Plus, the extra compression at the calves is nice for running.

It's interesting how the Halter Hoodie is priced at $58 in my Lululemon store . . . I wonder why it's $20 more on the site?

On another note, I've been patiently waiting for the Free2Be in Angel Blue ever since people have been talking about it. Does anyone know how that style of jacket fits? I know people have decribed it as being on the looser side, and I've read the reviews on the Lulu site, but I wanted to hear more thoughts if it was best take your usual size or size down. I tend to wear a 6 in Lulu jackets. Any thoughts would help! Thanks!

I read that the Halter Hoodie was $58 in the stores. I wonder if it another website error or they are really trying to get $78 for it. $58 almost seems on the low side - maybe stores are giving it the re-priced price to start with because they are having trouble selling the cotton stuff. I've seen so many stores tout their markdown section on Facebook lately it's quite suprising. The Vita crops got repriced pretty quickly to $54 from $86.

The Free 2B did fit on the loose side. I tend to like my sweat jackets looser so I can layer a long sleeve tee underneath. However, the French terry does stretch out a little with wear.

bummed the no limits or the swiftly weren't added --

That spring fling looks horrible on the website!! WOW!!

I kinda like the back of the vest -- but i dont like the bulk in the front especially for summer

@anon 10:06: I recommend sizing down in the free 2be. I have it in black and I am buying angel & grey today. I am a 6 in define and remix and a 4 in the stride jacket. The 6 Free 2Be just had alot of excess material under the arms (someone called it bat wings). The 4 is more fitted but not at all tight. I have read many people are very happy that they sized down. One lady on FB didn't and she wished she would have.

@anon: I went down one full size in the free2B and it isn't remotely small/tight/overly-fitted. Usually if I go down a size it is because it is a relaxed fitted item that I want to look quite fitted. With the free2B jacket the 4 fit me like most of my 6s.

@luluaddict:
I bought the run with it crops today at the store in coal with angel at the waist (and the run energy tank in angel with coal wee trim)- i think the crops are comfortable with the room at the knee and I think they are cute and a little different looking as well : )

I think the spring fling tank would look a lot better with a wide belt.. It's more a to and from tank anyways, so the option to dress it up a bit is there!

@pilatesmom: Have you worn a coal pant or crop before? I hear alot of people saying it shows sweat alot, what do you think? I have steered away from coal pants for this reason. Just curious what your experience has been. Thx

@anon: the coal pants and crops do show sweat. I have coal in the grooves and static in WUs--both show sweat. I don't have any empowers or luxtreme coal crops, but I have seen many women at my gym with sweat stains on those as well.

I own a pair of coal empower crops and am quite impressed that they DONT show sweat. And I can sweat profusely during my 45 min cardio sessions. One of my friends was pretty amazed with her pair as well. The coal luon def appears as though you've had a bladder accident. Now I know to only wear the coal luon for low impact activities. Needless to say, I adore luxtreme.

LuluAddict said...

I have some coal luon tops and pants. They do show sweat. If it's not really heavy, it's looks like a "shadow" effect.

@ Gina - That's really interesting that the coal power luxtreme crops don't show sweat. I have been refraining from buying them because of sweat issues. I see so many women who wear lighter pants, or even cotton pants, that looked like they wet their pants after spin class.

I bought the Savasana Wrap because I did not get one last season. I won't be wearing it until fall, but figured I should get one. Glad I did. Out of 3 colors and 4 sizes each, they only have one color in a size 8 left - only 8 hours after upload. Wow. At least I can return if I do not like.

I agree about the Run With It Crops - would like to see them online. I'd like to see them worn on more people too, only a few pictures have been online of them.

I bought the empower crops in Savage Green because I love the color. Now I can only hope that they make a savage green "I just wanna run" sl tank. I love those and they haven't released in any of the new color yet (potion, savage, angel).

And I'm a bit bummed they didn't release the CRBs in Mac & Savage online.

Hopefully more next week!

Well I broke down and ordered the Mynah tank in green...while not sure if I will like it...it is the only strikingly different tank at the moment.

I also bought 2 pairs of gather and crow crops, angel blue and green. I love the colored elastic at back of the hem. Very subtle matchy matchy...

Will see how the mynah goes. I would really like to have the run: zoom singlet in green but my local store doesn't have it and I didn't act fast enough online when it was available. Though I do prefer a built in bra...

I just got back from a trip my local store and finally purchased the Run with it crops in black. I really like the feel of the luxtreme. These are my first luxtreme crops. I am short so they hit me a good place on my calf. I also bought the Run Zoom singlet in angel blue & in black. Now I am just waiting for the savage green stripe to hit my store. It seems like stores are starting to receive them now so hopefully I'll be able to get one soon. I ordered the Free 2be in angel & heathered clarity gray this morning. I hope I'm done shopping for awhile. Every time I say that new things show up that I have to get!

Man, all savasana wraps, all sizes, all colors gone, gone and gone. Glad I ordered mine early this AM. It is crazy how sometimes things can sell out in a hour or two. I went ahead and caved on the hooded tank (white with savage trim) - I'm strangely drawn to it. I'll see when it arrives and I get it on my body. I can always return it.

I would love the coal empowers if they didnt show sweat -- i might have to reconsider these --

Has anyone tried on the tracker skirt? I love the print but am afraid of the poofiness -- would love someones input!!!!!

I wonder what other colors the double racer back will be in! --i'm kinda diggin it!

I have coal run: spirit tights and they don't show sweat.

I see they added the passion color for the Pep Tank but it's already sold out to only size 8. Still see all sizes for Angel Blue, think I'm going to get it. Not interested in black.

@luluaddict - I do really appreciate the coal luxtreme for not showing sweat... I don't do spinning regularly like yourself, but have worn them through a few spinning classes and haven't had visible sweat problems. I also think the coal are just as flattering as the black, both in the empowers. They are my go to crops for high intensity workouts. You should give them a try!
