All the Loot Added Today - I'm Actually Tired of Shopping (Say What!?!?!)

Was your credit card on fire this afternoon? This whole week? What a weird time to make a major Loot upload - right around 4:30pm until 6 pm PT on the Friday of a major US holiday weekend (is Canada Day the prelude to a holiday weekend, too?). I was lucky my son had soccer practice late this afternoon so I could sit and refresh the Loot page every couple of minutes. There are a lot of goodies still left in Loot but I think they'll be picked off as people get re-connected to the internet. From what I can tell, all the items are also on sale in the stores. Reports are that the stores are clearing space for some really great fall stuff, including lots of new running stuff and some new cycling stuff (see prior posts). I got three pairs of luxtreme running bottoms, including solid black which rarely gets marked down, so I am very happy about that.

The first three new fall season items we've seen, besides the Light Up Tank and Bra, the Light Up Jersey, Light Up Shorts, and the Cross Train Pullover, I can live without. I can't really think about long sleeve pullovers at this time of year anway. It's heading into the heat of summer. I also don't care for the long sleeve luxtreme shirts. I bought two Run: Sport Henleys last fall and ended up selling them both. The luxtreme slides up on me as I move. I much prefer the running luon found in the Run: Hills Pullover and Run: Energy Pullover. I have two Run: Hills Pullovers and an Energy Pullover and wouldn't mind getting one more Energy Pullover provided it comes out in a solid subtle color like Sidewalk or Coal. I wore my Energy and Hills pullovers all the time last fall and winter, around the house, to my sons' soccer games, and for exercise. I wore them skiing as a base layer under my sweater. They are just fabulous - soft, comfortable, and a flattering fit. They were so popular, they have to be back this fall. The other top I bet a lot of people would like to see brought back is the Run: Spirit Pullover. I wished I lived in a colder climate so I could justify buying this. My sister bought two for winter running in Oregon and would have bought more but they were snapped up too quickly. The other  items I can see being brought back are the Wear With All Jacket, the Lulu Remix Light, and the Gather Together Jacket. These were all pretty popular last fall.

All in all, I've bought a lot of great clothes lately, so the new stuff will have to be pretty spectacular for me to buy. My closet is getting pretty full and I have lots of tanks I don't wear anymore. Maybe they'll have some great prints coming out. We can always hope.

I've been selling (and buying) lululemon on ebay for awhile now. It is surprising how much some things go for. I am so glad Lululemon takes paypal! ;-)

LOOTYLICIOUS! I've dropped a bundle the last couple of weeks online and in store on loot. When possible I try to purchase it in the store as I get the instructor discount on top of the loot price.

Yesterday in store loot purchases: got the run energy sl in lime (love the energy sl, I also happen to like the writing, but this color scheme was my least fave) however, the speed shorts (love) in foxy lime plaid were also on sale and together they look ultra cute. Also picked up a couple of halter hoodies. On the non sale side, got a flow y bra in wish (always was bummed I didn't have a bold blue flow y) and a no limits tank in coal/pig. I have an all black no limits from when they originally came out (a year ago?) and none of the other color combos that have come out since then have compelled me to purchase another but this color combo is really pretty.

Also yesterday my loot packages ordered from the last big upload arrived. I'm really thrilled with several items that I passed on or didn't "love" when they first came out. Devi jacket in sidewalk: very cute and soft and lightweight and the price was super. Run With It in foxy plaid: adorable! glad I went down a size to a 4 in this and would certainly never have paid $118 for this as the tag said. But, it is darling. I won't use it for running as the cap sleeves don't allow for easy arm swing but as to and from and streetwear I love it and have a lot to match it. Get Started Jacket: I ordered the passion and angel knowing that I could use passion to match other items and although I have several angel jackets already and didn't need another many people had said this particular jacket was attractive in angel. I love the jackets. Between the luon light and the mesh it is like a feather and perfect cover for summer. Also, so cute with a long tank peaking out and the back is great. I'll get lots of use out of the passion for matching and I have to agree the angel is GORGEOUS. If you're thinking about getting this jacket, get it in angel!

Other loot purchases over the past couple of weeks but those are the most recent highlights. Yesterday evening's upload for me resulted in a few purchases: tracker skirt in sidewalk plaid (I love my tracker skirt in foxy plaid) I think it will also look very cute with my seek the peak jacket in sidewalk plaid, flasback crops a good price for a comfy crop, power y savage stripe (will be great under my white/savage halter hoodie and with my other savage pieces), tracker crop in black angel (this will be killer with my get started jacket in angel) AND mynah jacket in lavender. I never tried this on in the store but always liked it in lavender. I bought my regular lulu jacket size and hope this isn't one you need to size down on. Anyone reviews on the mynah jacket? Also, Shanti crops. Anyone try them on? TTS or size down? The one review online says they sized down and they never size down but I'm basically ALWAYS a 6 in lulu bottoms. I never size down.

Wow, you have totally stocked up! I have really been watching my purchases.. I have just gotten into lulu in December and have bought what I consider to be a fair bit of stuff, considering I am not an instructor or anything.

This recent loot there were a lot of things I would like to have gotten, but decided to only purchase the Gather and Crow crops in the static/potion. I really hope I like them on...

I am glad that someone else likes the Run: Energy SL with the writing, I really like it but would seem I am in the minority. I bought it when it first came out, I have it in the Charcoal/lime. So comfy!

@luluaddict...

Thanks again for this blog, so much information and I love your posts and pictures. I have learned so much from reading this, and I also feel it has fueled my lulu addiction. Can't complain though, hubby encourages me to buy something if I love it, and he has taken me to the Halifax store several times, helping me with decisions (being honest if something looks good and also if it doesn't). I was on the fence last night about whether I should order the crops, and he is the one who told me to go for it. He knows I have been eying them for a while, and at such a good price he told me not to pass them up. :)

Love the picture you used...
I held off on online orders last night (it helped that a lot of things weren't available in my size). But yesterday in store, I did get the coal plaid Speed Shorts on sale, a lavender CRB on sale, and a wishblue CRB at full price.

Waiting for the Energy SL in angel blue to arrive still (I ordered it Monday I think...should come by FedEx today). My Flashback hoodie from online loot ordered Tuesday isn't looking like it will come until next Wednesday.

I would totally order a Spirit pullover if it became available again. By the time the one I ordered online came and I realized it was a little big, they were sold out! I love my Run: Energy Pullover -- it came out around the same time.

I'm eager to see what comes out next, but it will have to be pretty awesome for me to buy it since I just bought ~$230 of stuff in the past week-ish and because we've got another 2-3 months of hot weather here before I can think about running in long sleeves again. Even for my half marathon in Philly in mid-September, I expect to be wearing a tank and shorts.

So far the new stuff is not appealing to me, which is a good thing so I've picked up lots of stuff in loot over the last several days.

@pilatesmom - I've ordered the Tracker skirt in potion. I can't wait to get it. I recall not being impressed with the shorts underneath though, and may end up cutting them out and wearing my own undies for running. Do you wear these skirts for running?

The run spirit pullover from last fall is one of my all time fav lulu pieces and an amazing running piece for cold weather!
@anon above: I have the run tracker skirt, the run energy skirt and the run jog skirt. They all have basically the same built in shorts underneath. For comfort in running I prefer running shorts to skirts. However, these skirts just look so darn cute and to look good sometimes helps with to run good, ya know? Can give you a bit of a boost. So, I run in them but I'll also just be out and about in them - they look really cute with a CRB and a jacket : ) They are also great if I'm going for a run and won't have time to shower before I have to run a couple of errands or pick up the kids afterward and I can still look and feel remotely put together.

@pilatesmom--how do the tracker skirts fit? I am a 4 in lulu pants, but size up to 6s for the run groovy shorts and other run shorts--but haven't tried on the tracker shorts. Any suggestion on what size I should get? Thanks!

pilatesmom said...

@missologist: the instructor discount (called R&D discount for research and development) is 15%. @anon above: I wear a 6 in all lulu pants/skirts/short and no exception with the tracker skirt.

@mollywaffles - the Angel Energy SL is gorgeous. I think I may have to get one now that I have the coal and angel Zoom shorts.

@pilatesmom - Do you have a 1200 sf closet? LOL You must have a gigantic Lululemon collection. Do you turn over your collection on a regular basis and resell or donate or do you manage to wear everything? I'm getting to the point where I need to sell quite a few things. I've changed what I like to wear to the gym - I am mostly buying the running stuff and tops that I can wear my own bra under.

@luluaddict:
Yes, I have a huge closet. About half of my total wardrobe is lululemon. I wear lulu 75% of the time as I'm always either to/from/or teaching...to/from/or working out. So, I live in it. I do also sell on ebay what I no longer wear with frequency. I was just thinking that with all my recent purchases I need to do a big listing so I'm gearing up for that.
