Crops and Shorts on People of Various Heights and Sizes + Pig Light Up Tank

The Eaton Centre facebook site has a series of photos with different size people modelling running crops and shorts.

Run With It Crop - Size 6, 70" Tall Woman

Empower Crop - Size 4, 63" Woman

Zoom Knee Short - Size 6, 64" Woman

Demonstrating a Medium Rise on the Empower Crops - all my lululemon seems to hit me here, no matter what the stated rise.

Showing the Low Rise of the Zoom Knee Short
I must have a short rise or something. The Zoom Knee shorts fit me more like the photo of the Empower Crops - just and inch or so under my belly button. I think this girl is on the taller side, though. In fact, I thought they came up a little high when I was bent over the bike during spin class. Maybe I just yanked them up too much.

My Product Alert called these Zoom Crops not Light Up Crops

On a happy note, my black Zoom Crops from Loot have been shipped cleared. That means I should get them tomorrow afternoon and be able to wear them to my Thursday spin class. What is interesting is the Product Alert that had the Coal/Pig Zoom crops only had them in sizes 2-10. However, an alert from another store had them to size 12. All I know is that I had a hard time finding any Zooms in the stores and none in 12s except for in Santa Monica. Santa Monica didn't have any Zoom crops. They had all been shipped out. I wonder if they sent them back to the warehouse for the big sale?

It looks like the US side of the website has fully restocked all sizes of the Inner Strength tank in black. Same for an black 50 Rep bra.

Wonder if the model sized down for her CRBs... I am new to the CRB and have worn it twice so far - for an abs class and for treadmill running (not going outside when it's 102!). I went with my usual size and it doesn't pull like that on the racerback part, and it's looser through my midsection.

I appreciate whichever store this is that modeled various bottoms on people of various body shapes and heights - it's nice to see the stuff on real people!

I've been considering the zoom knee short now but for spinning, probably not running as much. I can't think about putting on crops for spinning even though there's a/c inside, and I feel like I'd be the only one wearing real bike shorts to spin class. The knee-length short is a nice compromise.

I have the same "issue" with the rise. I'm really short, so almost all the bottoms fall just slightly below my belly button. Either that, or I hike them up too much. I prefer that they fit that way as it tends to hide any love handles :)

I know what you mean about the rise. It seems like all my luon and luxtreme bottoms come at about the same midrise even if they are labeled low rise (except for my REALLY lowrise hip pants and wrap pants and my REALLY highrise run spirit pants that basically come all the way up to the true waist around the belly button).

@mollywaffles - I'm pretty sure that the Chirp Cool Racerback she is wearing is the Special Edition version that had the puckers on the upper part of the straps and in the racerback part.

There are quite a few people who wear real bike shorts with big ole chamois in them to my spin class. I don't think it's necessary for a one hour class where you stand 50% of the time but whatever floats their boat. I usually lift weights after and I don't want to sport the diaper look.

There are quite a few people in my class who also wear long pants. I tried that once and almost died. I ended up folding my pants up.

I like the Zoom Knee Crop a lot, especially for $49. Probably my favorite pair of luxtreme bottoms are the Passion crops which I got a while ago. They hit right at my knee.

i think the "size 8" woman is actually a size 10 and should be wearing a size 10. It would be more flattering...

is the light up bra in stores yet?

LuluAddict - how many lulu pieces do you have? just curious :) I'd love to know how long you and other have been buying lulu and how large collections are!

@anon 4:23 - The light up bra & tanks are all in store in my area Northern California. I think most stores got them this week.

I agree with anon -- she is not an 8 -- and the outfits would be more flattering in her appropriate size! Just because it fits doesn't mean it FITS!

@ M: I've been wearing Lululemon about 3 years. My collection is not as large as some of the people who read this blog and 90% of it is made of the technical fabrics. I have 51 tanks, 9 pullovers/tech tees, 17 crops, 13 shorts, 13 pants, 11 jackets, 27 headbands, 19 bras, 7 hats, 5 gym bags, plus tons of hot short underwear, technikini underwear, featherlight socks, and running gloves plus things like hair ties. I wear Lululemon most of the time in and out of the house when I'm not at the gym.

@Lulu Addict

Wow - that's quite a collection - but I guess over 3 years, that's not bad :) How do you decide what to wear?! :)

I just started buying Lululemon about 2 months ago and already have 7 tanks, 2 crops, 5 shorts, 1 pant, 2 bras and 1 hoodie

I just discovered lulu just this past Christmas. I have 2 Remix Hoodies (1 is the US Cheer Gear - despite the fact that I am Canadian), 1 Flashback Hoodie, 1 Stow 'N Go jacket, 4 pairs of shorts, 3 pairs of pants, and 4 tanks. Oh, and 2 pairs of crops (one of which is on it's way via Fed Ex).

I think I am done buying for a while, will wait 'til fall now...unless something absolutely fabulous goes in loot... then I may cave, LOL.

I am in love with my Run: With It Crops. I can't wear any of the others because I hate how tight and binding they feel on my legs, so I am so happy they made this crop with some wiggle room!

@ M - Isn't there a saying that you only wear 20% of your clothing 80% of the time? That's me - lately I've been favoring the lightweight running tanks I can wear with my own bra (underwire not lulu) so I've mostly been wearing my Zoom tanks, I Just Wanna Run, Run Like the Wind Singlet, Mesh CRB, Run: Energy SL, Embracer tanks (from 2 yrs ago), & Swiftly tech racerback. I mostly wear crops to the gym and luxtreme run ones if I am spinning. Around the house I like my Boogie On (I have the tall version) or Relaxed Fit (older) shorts best and tanks with a built in bra - lately a Power Y. To run errands I usually wear some form of (Be) Still pant/crop/short and a CRB or Swiftly tech tee with a Remix Lulu Light jacket.

@Becky - I keep saying I'm done, then something else shows up that I HAVE to have! Luckily my birthday is next month, so I'll have some loot to spend :)

Becky - now that you've discovered lulu, there is no more 'done buying'. Whenever you think you'll get a break - they pull you back in! Seriously, Lulu Addict's blog is aptly named - it's an addiction.

I don't want to count how much I have. I'm in denial ; )
I've been purchasing for about three years.
