Revitalize Tee in Real Life, Community Jacket, Baseball Hat

Run: Revitalize Tee

This top looks like it has a cute fit. I'm not really a fan of static for color blocking. I guess it's kind of boring to use coal or black for the contrast color. However, it is a running tee and running bottoms only come in black or coal. It also has the black stripe of cotton down the back. Why? There is just too much going on in the design of this top - There is contrasting band of color under the arms, around the back and around the neck, not to mention vertical seams in the front and back, and pouffed sleeves. Is the black seam down the back really needed? I find it visually jarring and it ruins the line of the top. Less Is More.

It looks like the new Running Baseball hat does have some ruching in the back.

A woman on facebook posted a photo of her new Community Jacket. It's made of Swift and Luxtreme with a circle mesh liner. The price is $128. This is the lolo purple one. It looks like a nice basic windbreaker type jacket. However, it appears the outer swift sleeve doesn't go all the way to your wrist, like in the Seek the Peak jacket. I hope the luxtreme part of the sleeve is some sort of cuffin because I really hate 3/4-type sleeves.

I tried the community jacket on today at the Portland store and I really liked it. It is not a 3/4 sleeve jacket like the seek the peak. The sleeves go to the upper part of your wrist and then the little cuffin is made of the most amazing feeling material. I almost bought it just for that. My wallet made me choose between the community jacket and the lolo purple stride, though, and the stride won out. The color of the lolo purple in the stride jacket was soooo pretty. I will watch to see if the community jacket goes on markdown and then I will snatch it up.

Community Jacket will be headed for loot, I think. Every windbreaker type of jacket lately has not sold well at the regular price.

Did you try out the baseball hat? Every time I try a Lulu hat on, they are ginormous. I have a big brain but a small head ;-p

Although seemingly quite practical, I don't ever see people in my neck of the US in jackets like this. It does seem a little 1992 to me. I do see the practicality of it, however, and do own a sleek black NB made out of similar matierial which I only break out for a run in the rain or severe wind/snow.

For $128 I expect cuter details on the jacket. How about some nice reflective patterns or piping or something. It doesn't have to be over-designed, but this just looks very basic to me. Maybe it is more impressive in person.

Agree--cute jacket, nice color, but price is too high. I might like this for the right price!

my prediction: community jacket will be headed for loot.

The Community Jacket is SUPER cute!! Much better in person. The collar, sleeves & pull all are little details that make it stand out. Plus the inside is a lighter shade of purple....yes, a style of a windbreaker, but much more stylish....I don't think it will hit loot. It is a bit pricey, but it is a beautiful color, fits very well & looks super cute on. I also tried on the Revitalize Tee & it also is super flattering on. I don't care for the colors, but will probably get the black one. The sleeves are really sweet...

I would like to ask your comments about eh Every day Yoga Jacket girls...Yesterday i tried it. Under it, i tried Lulu coton longsleeve and also Luon run tshirt. With both material, i felt uncomfortable because the fleece, inside the jacket, rubs (got caught to) the cotton and the luon so, especially for the arms, it is uncomfortable because it does not allow body to move easily.

For the rest, the shape is perfect... very nice hoody and high collar.

I am disapointed. I am interested in hearing you about how you like it -or not.

I have to agree with luluaddict on the revitalize tee -- i think the black stripe in the back really ruins this top -- and although the sleeves look cute and girly -- I am not sure how practical they would be for a technical top -- i think thy would annoy me while running -- it is an awful lot like the mens press or success tops -- but their version looks cleaner IMO

I agree -- community jacket = LOOT!!

just got product notification for scoop neck tank in static dark classic grey with senorita pink neckline. very pretty. also the static CRBs (alarming, lolo, oasis, dark classic grey) plus the gather racerbacks in alarming, oasis, static dark classic grey and static mid grey.

anyone seen any of these in stores? also, i think someone mentioned that the gather racerback was not cotton but luon light or another fabric???

Lululemon offers many different style jackets, for many different reasons. The Stride is the perfect all around jacket, the Lux, Light & Flashback are all cozy lighter weight jackets. The Scuba & Remix a thicker cozy hoodie. The WWA & Gather Together great jackets to cover your bum. The Community Jacket looks like a beautiful wind repellent, water resistant, windbreaker type jacket..one can't compare different style jackets because they truly serve different purposes. I remember everyone slamming the Seek The Peek & boy, those sure flew out fast once they hit loot & people really tried them on. I personally like the Community Jacket.

I don't think the Community Jacket is an old style. I think it is a basic jacket style that you could find made by Patagonia, Mountain Hardware, Columbia or any outdoor-wear company. Hopefully, Lululemon is starting to put function ahead of fashion again. The Seek the Peek was cute but the pockets were totally unusable. They are an athletic wear company not haute couture. I like the clean lines of the Community Jacket and looking forward to trying it on.

I tried the plaid hat on today and was surprised to not like it. Or, it just didn't work for me. The check pattern is smaller than I thought it would be, and this hat is $28, which just seems like a lot for a baseball hat.

I guess I was just looking for a more stylish version of the windbreaker. But someone mentioned that it is cuter in person, so maybe I shouldn't knock it before I try it :).

I think the reason the Seek the Peak flew once it hit Loot -- was because it Hit Loot -- and if i remember -- it still hung around for awhile -- I think the price is the main problem on that and the STP -- it is too high for a Not everyday kind of jacket IMO-- which is why, once it hit loot the price could be justified by discerning Lulu shoppers-I am not being negative at all -- I just think that a selling point for a windbreaker jacket shouldn't be -- well, once the STP hit loot it flew and people realized they loved it -- they loved it because it was 39 AND a sharp different jacket -- they didn't love it as a 128 different jacket

Just sayin --

Just bought the community jacket in black. Also comes in gray and of course the pictured purple.

Yes, more of a basic but you have to see it in person. There are some cute albeit subtle design features- there is some ruching--on the front, at the pockets and on the collar. There is some cute stitching/construction on the front and the sleeves. And there is a nice detail that wraps around to the back. All of which gives it a subtle feminine flair.

The cuff and neck are super soft and comfy. It comes to the top of my hips. Maybe a wee bit longer would have been nice??

I actually need a jacket like this. I think it will be nice for running errands, walking dog, maybe even hiking. Of course I hated the price but there is more to it than a basic windbreaker.

There is also a community pant. They were pretty cute. Had the same ruching. I don't typically wear pants like this. I also saw another new jacket called the journey jacket (I think?). Very short structured jacket. A pass for me.

Oh and a detachable hood would have been nice...

regarding static CRBS, there is also a LUON LIGHT version of the gathered racerback (also the org cotton as they've had before) in heathered charcoal.

@Pattybea = The Community jacket is so nice. I have hard time decided between the lolo purple and the black one. The lolo purple is very close to Dahlia color (2 years ago). I probably kept trying both for 10 times - the lolo is VERY pretty, but then the jacket is so beautiful for everyday function/purpose - I decided to get the black one (so I can wear it with denim as well).

@ Pattybea and Shopaholic - Did you think the Community Jacket fit true to size?

@luluaddict - the Community Jacket is TTS.

Pattybea said...

I too think tts...

I agree that the black line on the back ruins the Revitalize Tee. It especially doesn't make sense on the colors that don't have any other black on them. I think it would have been cool if the static inserts were reflective somehow. Then you would have had 360 reflectivity.
