Inspire Pullover - Eh

This is actually the static lolo Inspire but the color is off in the pics (wouldn't it be nice if they came out with static wish blue?). I like it but I don't love it. Maybe I'll feel differently when I try it on. I think I prefer both the Hills and Energy Pullover to this. I don't think the design is as feminine as the Hills/Energy - the others were designed to emphasize curves. This one is very utilitarian and androgynous - it could easily fit into the men's line. It also reminds me of a ski sweater. I don't care for the gimmicky "cold hands/warm heart" printing on the cuffins. The zippers are also too prominent. Couldn't they have used reflective decorative items like they did on the Spirit Pullover? That would have been a lot prettier. I wonder why they put circle mesh only under the armpit and not down the entire side and half the arms like in previous pullovers - too cold maybe? Anyone buy it yet and have an Energy to compare the fit? I will check my local stores this weekend to see if it arrived.

Last year they released two running luon pullovers - the Hills and the Energy so I would hope there is yet another running luon pullover in our future. I am really hoping for a re-release of the Energy. They also released the prettiest fleece running top of all time - the Run: Spirit Pullover.

Hills Pullover

Bold Blue Energy - Why didn't I buy this color when I had a chance?

Run: Spirit Pullover (running fleece) - Feminine + Functional = Perfection

Static Wave Stripe Inspire - I like this better than the lolo

Lolo Inspire - truer color representation

I'm dying to see what the heathered Senorita looks like.

I agree with you 100%. Wish I had the blue Energy & disappointed by the Inspire. I'm annoyed with all the colour blocking & seams down the back of shirts this season (i would've bought the lolo crew neck if it didn't have that stupid seam down the back).
I'm with you hoping for more pullovers.... in wish blue!

I also really like wish blue, and I wish that Lululemon had come out with more tanks and pullovers in that color.

I honestly think you have to try this on to appreciate it! It really looks better in person :) However, if you don't like a sporty look, this may not be the top for you. Or the solid black may be a better bet as it wouldn't have the color blocking.

I agree - wish they had wish blue!

I bought my regular size 4 in the inspires...and have a size 6 in the run energy (can't find a size 4)...so it's difficult to compare the fit. If i had the 4 in the energy, I'd bet the would be similar.

I agree! Not liking it so much :( and sad I never jumped on the Hills pullover. But I do have 2 run spirits :)

Also sad I gapped out on the bold blue Energy pullover. I will def. try on the Inspire though, and compare it to my Energy (which is awesome and I love it). As a runner in a cold climate, I think the Run: Spirit pullover is on my all-time top 3 list of fave lulu items. If lulu made this again but put a longer butt-covering back on it, I think I'd be in heaven :-)

You're right, M, I'll probably like it better when I try it on. If it had a little less stripes and color blocking, I'd probably also like it more. I prefer the solid Hills and Energy to the other versions of those tops. I love running luon so this top is already half way to a sale for me but I am hoping there is a 2nd running luon pullover design coming out in the next months.

To me the first girl should go up 1 size. The Inspire she has on is so tight.

Luluaddict, you should check out the new Groovy Run Short (Black) photo on the website. It's grouped with the lolo and sen pink Groovys. The shorts the model is wearing are so tight as well. Looks like a different model with muscular legs/bubble butt. They need some serious professional help with their photos for the website. Bad angles, wrinkles etc. For such a successful company its a little pathetic.

More spelling errors - 2nd try:

I agree, Anon 10:02 am - the inspire is a bit tight - the sleeves are very tight on the girl in the photo.

OMGosh - you are right about the Groovy run short. Why did they let that photo through? It's not a case of them being pathetic. It's that they are too cheap. They are too cheap to higher a real photographer, a real web design team, and real fitness models. It's such a contrast to their stores that are beautifully designed and merchandised. The web is their face to most of the world, yet they cheap out on it. It's hard to fathom their reasoning on why this is the area they choose to cut costs on.

I would snap up the Spirit Pullover in a heartbeat if they re-released it.

I had ordered the Hills pullover (white & grey/white stripe) right before the Energy pullover came out last year; and returned my Hills to keep the Energy (black).

It's kinda nice that the zippers are reflective on the Inspire pullover; not sure I realized that before? I'm liking the static wave stripe version that I didn't even know existed until yesterday!

Run Spirit Hoodie is by far my fav Lulu piece of all time. I have two. :) I also have a run hills pullover but not the Energy. I want to see the static lolo IRL and try it on, but right now I am liking what I have in my drawer better.

The inspire is a little more boyish of a cut. I feel like it would look better on someone with more curves (not that there's anything wrong with this girl's body, she just might benefit from something more feminine).

I'll have to try it in person before I decide. My sister has the bold blue energy and I loooove it. Every time she puts it on I want one for myself.

The description says the Hills pullover was luxtreme. Did they make two versions, luxtreme and running luon? I wasn't shopping at Lulu then but I just want to clarify this. I would like to have bought all that you mentioned as well as this inspire.

They made two versions of the Run: Hills Pullover...the running luon being the better one IMO

I am not a fan of the static or heathered fabric. Over time, I think it will look worn out and dated. I think people are hyped up about it because we don't know if any else exciting is coming out.

I picked up the static black today- my first piece in the running luon and I definitely want more! I'm a little surprised it is getting dissed so much already...definitely try it first! I didn't find it boyish at all and the fit is snug so if you don't like that style then this probably isn't for you. If you go up in size it creates extra fabric in the shoulders and armpits so you can't have it both ways! The inspire was a better fit for me than the energy, which I returned because I couldn't get the right fit.

Last year's pullovers looked so much more elegant and classy and I'm bummed I didn't get them then. Please, Lululemon, don't forget your elegant roots in an attempt to become trendy! Your classics are/were beautiful and functional and well-made. Frankly, I'm concerned about the quality of all this new stuff. They bring it out on a conveyor belt every single week. I know that they read this (excellent) blog, so that's why I'm saying this. Great articles lately, Lululemon Addict, thank you!
