New Items - Run: Surge Tight, New Colors of Insight Tank

Sorry I only have this really dark photo of the new Run: Surge Tights. These are made of luxtreme. I will post more as soon as I find some. From what I can see, I like the look of these. I like the restrained use of reflective material - just enough to pick up the motion as you run or walk. I find it kind of interesting that some people want tons of reflectivity on their clothes. When I'm driving, the areas that usually first capture my attention are the areas that are in motion. [Oops! I think these might be for men. I was thinking that as I looked at the masculine watch on the model but the photo is so dark it's hard to tell.]

There are a couple of new colors in the Insight Tank - Senorita and Coal. The Coal looks very pretty. I thought the Insight tank was very comfortable (but low support for larger chests) when I tried it on. The Coal and Black combo is pretty. I will keep an eye out for this to see if it hits markdown. I wouldn't mind this for around the house or low impact activities.

I know the Tadasana Jacket is out of season but I haven't really seen an unflattering photo of it yet. I love the idea of a mesh-back jacket for summer/warmer days. I really want to try this on. I think I may have to bite the bullet and just get it now for next summer.
  • Biking, hiking, gym, yoga, and dance - designed as a light and breathable all sport jacket
  • Luon®, our signature fabric: breathable with coverage, cotton-feel, 4-way stretch providing support and allowing freedom of movement
  • Fitted through the torso and hip length
  • Full mesh back for ventilation
  • Thumbholes keep your sleeves down and hands warm!

I really love the Tadasana in Lolo and I'm going to have to get it too. Just too pretty of a jacket to pass up, plus I can get it now that I ignored the Escapade ;)

The more I see the Tadasana, the more I like it. I tried on the Get Started several times once it hit markdown but couldn't get over the boxiness. I loved the mesh back. The lolo version is so pretty. I love the long length, too.

I would love to get the Tadasana Jacket if it goes to Loot. But somehow pretty and popular colours like Lolo Purple hardly gets marked down. Here's hoping.

I tried it on in static grey/pink, lolo and coal. I wanted to love it as I love the get started jacket. I just didn't love it (in the longer length it seems to lose the edginess that the get started has as a crop) and somehow the back kept reminding me of a droopy diaper as the "droop" part is much lower than it is on the get started. Because the bottom band of the get started hits much higher the waist still looks small. Because the band of the tadasana hits at the hips, there is a lot of volume from the back mesh around the middle so the waist is completely undefined (looks larger) from the side and the back (not from the front as it is more of a "staight" look). I would consider it on markdown but it was an easy pass for me at full price. The mesh back of the get started is great for summer.

I like the look of the Tadasana. It may be too 'out there' for me but I will def. try it on. I think the poofy back look is becoming a signature of lulu's. So many of their jackets this year have the back pleats or mesh.

I bought the Tadasana jacket the other day! its a great fit you could deffinitely size down even though i went with tts. i love the longer length and the mesh back.I got this on exchange for my fraying seem stride jacket so disappointed in lulu for that, my store informed me that they are well aware of the situation at GEC and the item should be recalled cause everyone sold at the store has pretty much been returned but GEC wont recall the item. i wore my stride for an hour and the seams were a mess, my store told me that GEC told them it has to do with the ribbed sides as its the first time they did that on luon.

Too bad those tights are for men! I like how they did the reflective details on those tights.

The Tadasana jacket is really cute. I like how it's still fitted and flattering from the front. Despite being looser in the back, it doesn't look too baggy or frumpy.

What's with pants/jackets of the same name not coming out together?? I wonder if there was a production delay with this jacket. While it may be going out of season, I could still see wearing it to/from the gym - when you need a layer to go outside, but you're still feeling warm from spin class. Is pricing similar to the Stride?

I tried on the jacket and its nice in the front but makes me look like I have a turtle shell in the back just like the no rain no gain jacket grrrrrrrr...,,I liked the front but not the back and u need to size down.

The Tadasana jacket is $108. I'll edit the post.

@ Anon 8:01 - I think Lululemon has secret recalls. They will take back items that they know have problems, like the Stride, if you bring it back but if you don't complain you won't ever know the item was recalled. I know the Potion Striped Zoom Singlet was recalled because of bleeding but unless you returned it you wouldn't know.

I'll make a post on the Stride Issue. I hate that they have so many items that have unravelling seams and thread issues. They must have relaxed their sewing standards.

The Tank On Me Tank was a recall that was never recalled, too. Lulu should just own up to their bad designs and quality issues and do the right thing.

Luluaddict - I have the Run: Energy Skirt in potion purple, and the top waist band is white/potion purple striped. It bled like crazy!! But I didn't wear/wash it until months after I bought it. I do not have the receipt, but I still have the tags. Do you think they'll take it back?

@ Lisa - Try taking it back - it can't hurt. The educator specifically told me the potion striped Zoom Singlet had been recalled. The last time I went to the Santa Monica store (in July) they had a big collection of Zoom Singlets and all the colors but the potion striped one.

I think you can tell if some things have been recalled by what shows up in Loot and how quickly. I was really surprised that the Zoom knee shorts and crops went into loot for half price really quickly, especially the solid black ones and in all sizes. (If you watch Lululemon a lot, luxtreme crops rarely make it to markdown and usually for something like $20 off, few sizes, and usually coal only never solid black) Next thing you know you read all these reviews about loose threads. Lucy used to do the same thing. I'd be really excited to get some tank for $15 and after a couple of wearings the bottom hem unraveled all over the place.

Lulu addict - I noticed the e-bay seller YogaThrifter (you may be familiar with her..she's from Canada) had A LOT (she had over 100 in a size 4!) of the potion purple Run:Energy skirts on sale for anywhere between $24.99 - $39.99. In every size. So lululemon must have sold them all for cheap because they recalled them, but didn't tell any of their customers who bought them in the store. I paid $54 for a bleeding skirt. Ugh.

That's the kinda crap that makes me dislike them... If only I wasn't so in love (obsessed) with them, I'm stop buying.

Really?? Size down. I ordered today without reading your comments? Should be here in a couple days. Maybe I can intercept it somehow!!!
