Sarah Johnson for Lululemon? Weird Fake on Ebay

I was perusing the Lululemon listings on eBay this morning and ran across this one. The text called these pants Sarah Johnson for Lululemon Groove pants. It has to be a fake. I've never seen Grooves with a logo in that spot or by a named designer.

Who the heck is Sarah Johnson?

Lulu addict - thank you for the heads up!

I wanted to let you know that the order I received today from lululemon came with a new bag! It's similiar (same shape, color) but the design on one side is slightly different, and it has a snap on it to close it! I'm so excited to get a bag with a snap.

I swear I remember someone asking about Sarah Johnson clothing on the Facebook Exchange recently (though I can't find it now) - She had come across Sarah Johnson pants at some discount chain like Ross or Marshalls and said they seemed very similar to Lulu. My guess is someone is buying up these Lulu-alikes cheap and misrepresenting as the real thing for profit. Shady.

The bags with snaps have been in stores for at least 4 months now.

On a side note, went to my lulu store today to try on clothes to check my sizing...I am gearing up for the warehoue sale in Hamilton! My friend and I dont want to try stuff on, so we wrote down our sizes in everything and are raring to go. Cant wait!

Anonymous at 2:03 - I go to my store in Phoenix, AZ about once a week (was there today) and they don't have the snap-bags yet.

I posted this because it seemed so egregiously fake.

@ Chi Runner - I googled "Sarah Johnson Lululemon" and found that there is a Lululemon Ambassador named Sarah Johnson but there was nothing about any designer with that name. I've never seen any lululemon product that says "Jane Doe by Lululemon" in the three years since I've been buying it.

I have Groove Crop Ties from about 3 years ago with a similar color band - peach, yellow, and white (mine also have Fruity Tootie). I've never seen Grooves with the logo in that spot. I have seen some older cotton pants (solid colored, though, never a colored band) on ebay with the logo there, though.

I have been getting snap bags nwo and then at the stores for awhile now. It's weird because I don't get them every time but just now and then. I like the small snap bags, too.

The Sarah Johnson is not lululemon! I saw some pants by that company at ross for $19.99. They definately had no affiliation or anything to lulu. They were like knock offs. They had a rip tag and all. Nothing on them said lululemon.

Hmmm so the question is, does this person genuinely think it is Sarah Johnson/Lululemon because they were described to her that way, or is she the one trying to pull a fast one? I feel like with 62 positive feedback, she may not realize she's mis-representing the pants/the brand.

Weird! I looked at the listing - seems like she thinks it really is a Lulu - but for sure I agree with LuluAddict - never seen a logo in that placement nor any designer collaboration! Interesting thing - she mentions a pocket in the WB and a place to write the name... so it sounds like real Lulu features. something fishy...

I'm the one that was asking about them on the FB page. I found them at ross for $9.99 & ended up going back and getting 2 pairs to wear (I teach an outdoor bootcamp and prefer not to get my lulu that dirty) For $10 I don't care if I rip a hole in these. The are very close to lulu pants, rip tag, hidden pocket in front, ect. and apparently retailed for $98. I wore them the other day & actually prefer the rise of the waist ....a bit lower than grooves. They aren't as soft as my lulu's, I'd compare the material to bebesport stuff if anyone has worn it before.

I just read on FB that these are from the Oqooqo (?) line -- that is the symbol on the hip -- don't know if it is accurate or not -- but i would hate to call the seller out as a fake if he/she isn't

Maybe I should cruise over to my local Ross store and see if they have them -- LOL!

Yeah. It does look like the oqoqo symbol on the hip... but since when is nylon organic?

I have these exact pants & the symbol on the hip looks like a danskin symbol with circle around it (small person dancing?)

By the way, with the link to those pants both on here and on facebook, that seller is probably wondering why her pants are getting so many views!

This pant is just a cheap random knockoff. They are everywhere. Ever heard of Mimi Mango at bikini bay? All copies of lululemon. It isn't hard to find lulu copies kicking around in all sorts of brands, including the walmart stuff.

All you have to do is report this to ebay as a "keyword" violation. Some sellers use keywords to draw you in. It's different then fakes. Some sellers might type "Like Lululemon" and you are not allowed to do that or mention other brands anywhere in your listing. I had some listings for designer clothes once and in the body of the listings, i stated please see my other listings with "Ed Hardy, ..., ..., ..., etc." and they made me remove it. But putting it in the key description is very bad and very misleading. Not Allowed.
