Today's Upload - No Surprises :-(

No running pullovers added this week. Maybe that means they will hit the stores first. I am hoping. They have to be coming soon.

OMG, the Harem Yoga pant (photo below) is ridiculous. They should have just put it straight into Loot for $24 and even then there'd be few takers.

My favorite item from today's upload is the Sage Twist pant. They look very flattering on the model which is unusual because the angle the photos are taken at usually make her look like she has a big ass and short legs (especially the 3/4 rear view) even though I'm sure she's a 5'10" size 4. I really like the higher rise and wide waistband of these pants - they give a nice shape to her backside. I'm on the fence whether to order a pair or wait to try it on at the store.

Oh, how funny. I was just looking at the different colors trying to decide what to order and here is a photo of the black:

The rise hits her differently than in the coal version. By looking at the feet, I think there are at least two different models wearing these pants. Hmmm, the model in the coal looks the best in these pants. I think I will wait to try these on at the store. I wear crops to the gym 95% of the time anyway.

Sweater Scuba - Fun but pricey at $128

 Peace of Mind Vest

I love this but it's total overkill for Southern California.

Audrey Jacket - Love This but so expensive!

 Bwahahahaha

Where is the mesh back CRB that was featured in the "Sneak Peek" along with the Inspire pullover? Hopefully they will be released soon. All other items on that video have been released! Love your blog--it's the best! :)

Funny thing about the mesh back CRB. I don't think they are going to release it. My hang tage for my static alarming CRB said it had a mesh back, but it didn't...

LuluAddict said...

Thanks, Anon!

I wonder about that mesh CRB, too. It was so see-through in the back but they release all sorts of odd things (Awareness Tank) you think a simple CRB with mesh back would make the cut.

Oh, those Harem pants are AWFUL. Just...no.

I can't believe they are even letting those harem pants hit the store! You would have to PAY me to wear them... and then it would have to be quite a bit.

LuluAddict said...

@ jade - too funny!

Don't hate, but I'm kinda glad the inspire isn't out yet as I couldn't get that AND the Audrey in one upload! I love it in the Coal. I can't believe the same designers did that coat and the Hammer..uhh I mean HAREM pants. HORRIBLE. As I recall the RUN Spirit came out a few weeks after Labor Day last year so inspires should come very soon!

LuluAddict said...

The Audrey is nice. Does it have hidden buttons to keep the bottom part closed or just one button at the top?

Anonymous said...

No new loot?!? There's hardly anything in there. Not a fan of that new scuba...I bet the sweater part won't look very good after a few washings. The harem pants are TERRIBLE!

LuluAddict said...

Don't worry - the Harem Pant will be in Loot soon. ;-)

cjrun said...

The Audrey has a full-length zipper with snaps in addition to the large decorative snaps/buttons at the neck.

Pair the Awareness Tank with the Harem Pant . . . . awesome

I love the look of the Audrey Jacket, but I just can't justify the price at the moment. I did pick up a pair of the new running gloves, but only because all of the stores here only got them in M/L and I needed a S/M.

I saw the Harem Pants in store yesterday and they are even worse in person - they are not just harem pants, but PLEATED harem pants. And the Awareness Tank was just as bad - even the Educator said she has yet to see someone try it on and like the fit. The top layer is so ridiculously poofy that it looked like the top half of a clown costume on me. What's sad about it is that if you pull all that fabric back so that that it looks more fitted (but still loose), you can see how the tank could have been really cute. As is it's a total design fail.

The new journey jacket in clarity grey is pretty-- and they finally released the striped grey commit tank - for those interested in that--

I love the heathered lolo gather tank - hmmm -- I don't really love the organic material - but it is so pretty!

I wish the sage senorita would have been on black instead of coal -- I am so leary of grey for sweating in

The Harem is RIDICULOUS!
I think the grey looks best in the awareness -- but it is so not for me!

WHAT were they thinking when the designed/released that horrible harem pant? I don't care if they marked it down to $9, I still wouldn't buy it. No Way! Total Fug!

pretty uneventful upload. humurous, even. harem--need i say more? if they shift anything into loot, it won't happen until the late afternoon. i check the site pretty regularly and any loot additions seem to happen right before their quitting time (about 5pm PDT). i still think they're not going to do a huge loot upload until friday night, kinda like they did the friday before 4th of july weekend in the US. seems appropriate...maybe, i guess, wishful thinking

Two things in today's upload that I really wanted: peace of mind vest in citron and the audrey jacket (I was trying to decide between coal and shark but that fact that shark wasn't uploaded made the decision easy).
I tried on both the sage twist and the tadasana pants. They are both nice. Sage twist is medium rise and the fabric twists look nice on (only really if you work out with a bra-top otherwise a tank is going to look bunchy with the twist under it). The tadasana are actually nearly a high rise (which I usually don't like as I prefer low rise, but I liked these none the less) and I would say the cut is most like the energize pant (very fitted through bum and thigh even past knee and then looser below calf - and the drawstring is a really nice feature. I got the grey/pink because the colors are so nice and the grey is sooooo soft (softer and stretchier than the past version of the static grey which was silky but not as forgiving in my opinion).

Just ordered Senorita Pink switfly LS. I love love switfly, so I'm happy. :)

Anonymous said...

@ Luna: I like how the site shows the Lagoon Swiftly LS in the main item page, but you can only buy the Senorita Pink color when you actually go to the item's info. Some stellar web programming...glad to see all the $$ brought in from sales is going to a good cause.
@ andrea2251 9:10am: LMFAO...I'm still giggling

momof5: I just ordered the gathered lolo racerback, I love the organic cotton, I have the salutation (one shouldered) in organic cotton and love working out in it, and just wearing it. I was hoping for more colors in the long sleeve swifty, but I love that lolo short sleeved, will have to wait for the long sleeve version of it.
I bought a jacket similar in material/use but different style as the Audrey two years ago and it's one of the best investments I made (it was $220). It is softshell with a fleece lining, tons of useful technical features and the best travelling coat (wind and rain don't stand a chance) since it is slim fitting but durable. If you are on the fence about the Audrey I reccommend it, it's the kind of jacket you will have for life, good for camping and dinners out. So versatile!

Anonymous said...

Do we know if the Audrey fits TTS? I ordered it in my size but wonder if I should have sized down? Also, any feedback on sleeve length? They look super long...I've got short arms/legs and wonder if I will be sorry! I hate to look oompah loompah-ish! (:

Wow, what can I say about the Harem Pant other than...an enormous design FLOP! They are probably the most unattractive pants I've ever seen. And with pleats, no less! It seems like Lululemon is losing it big-time. I think it might have to do with the need to bring out new styles so frequently, as consumers demand this and want a lot of variety in their workout gear. I am "guilty" of this myself; since I basically live in workout gear my eyes are always open for a cute new design that's also functional. Back when Lululemon didn't seem to be under all this pressure to produce produce produce their designs were more coherent; they made sense. Now it seems like they are all over the board. Don't get me wrong: I am still a fan of the company, but my intense interest is waning. My Grooves are the best pants I've ever worn and I'll continue to purchase them. But all this new crazy stuff is just making me laugh. And not in a good way. Get it together, Lululemon. You're acting like fools! And I LOVE this blog, it's the best! Let's demand that Lululemon get back on track if they want our hard-earned dollars. Okay, thanks for listening, sorry for the rant. :)

Just talked to my local store (southern california), and they said that the run inspire pullover should be here by September 6th, fyi.

Someone mentioned this so I thought it'd be fun to see what the two looked like together:

lol M!

I'm sad about these harem pants as they will no doubt end up in loot, and then we will all have to look at them sit there for months on end. Let's cross our fingers they go to the warehouse sale instead.

hmmmm...pair the harem pants with that alegro leotard. hahahaha.

WOW and i thought the latin pants were bad lol geeze! The Harem pants make me want to break into song "dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun Can't Touch This" :-P Good to see Lulu's kickin' it old skool with a throwback to good ole MC Hammer! :-p

dear lululemon addict,
This is off topics but I am thinking try to buy "run zoom singlet" and is this tank TTS? or should size down?
And i was looking for black/static charcoal scoop neck for while but i guess they're sold out in Canada,,,so i have to use "buyer" to look for it. It is definetely expensive experience to me but next time if i see anything i really like on website just get it right away!!!

Who in the right mind will wear the harem pants for yoga? Not functional at all. I will be interested to know how many of these Lulu actually sells.

I like the scuba hoodie with the cabled sleeves better than the other jacket (fireside?) with cabling on the shoulders.

Harem pants are awful.

I agree the Audrey coat is cute, was hoping it would be online in shark as well, but it would be quite a splurge.

I like the details they added on the running gloves, like the slit for your watch. My GPS watch does not fit under their tops with slim fitting wrists, or the last version of running gloves. I was hoping they'd come out with S - M - L though, not combined sizes. The Brisk gloves in S/M were still too long for my tiny hands.

Striped commit tank is cute, but if I'm going to buy another tank right now it would be a CRB in circle mesh.

Saving my pennies for the Run: Inspire pullover (hope I like it after all this time!)

I'm really enjoying everyone's comments about what to pair with the Harem pants...haha

@anon/12:53-
I found the Zoom singlet to fit true to size. I'd consider a 2nd if they still had it in my size. I posted a review on the lulu website.

Run: Inspire Pullover in heathered lolo just unpacked at the San Diego Showroom. SOOOOO cute! The cuffins with "cold hands--warm heart" is a adorable design feature :)

LuluAddict said...

@ M - That picture is too funny. I am going to post it.

I think the Zoom Singlet runs true to size but you could size down if you want it to be form fitting. There is no bra so it won't squeeze you if you go a size down but it will fill you like a bathing suit.

@ Colorado Pilates Teacher - I am kind of like you these days - my lulu obsession is not as intesne but I am wondering if it is because I already have so much of it. However, every month or so something pops up that I must have - the Fouette, the Effortless Hoodie, the Run: Zoom Singlet, etc. Maybe I am just getting more discriminating because I have learned if I don't have a major must-rip-the-tags-off-and-wear-it-now reaction then it will sit in my closet and end up on eBay.

@momof5 - the new organic material feels a lot like luon. I was shocked when I felt the new gathered racerbacks in the store. I have an older gathered racerback and it is much rougher feeling. The gathered is a nice tank but if I going to get a racerback it'll be a CRB or a mesh CRB. However, I do like the heathered lolo and the other new colors - so pretty!

i tried on the audrey jacket yesterday and it wasn't worth the price. so much trouble with the zipper - wouldn't go down, then wouldn't go up! for the price, it should be perfect :( i have a pink embark softshell from last winter and i love it - the hood is a nice extra! i did splurge and get a second express yourself wrap (i bought lolo purple last week, and the dark grey yesterday). i wasn't sure about this but i really like it for fall/winter with black leggings for the office. i also got solid black rock out pants (also for work - they look like straight leg dress pants!). i have a serious buying problem, i'm waiting on a savasanna scarf, and a 50 rep bra i bought on the fb exchange page! now i'm debating whether i should take the day off for the hamilton warehouse sale (literally a 5 minute drive for me), but i would go super early - last year i waited in line from 9am-1pm in pouring rain. i wonder what they will have for sale?

The measurements on the Back To Basics Rucksack are 21" long, 14 1/2 wide, 6 1/2 deep, holds a laptop, looks great for just about anything & yes, it has the back traditional backpack straps.....I called before I ordered my lolo purple one today...

M said...

Hmmm, guess I did make her legs a bit long :) Should've moved the legs up a bit more. Either way, it just looks silly! I honestly don't think it matters what you pair with the harem pants...it's looks funny!

To respond to our blog host: Yes, it could indeed be that when you have so much of this stuff, it really does take a WOW moment to inspire a purchase. There indeed are some Lululemon items that I can't live without: as in my four-year-old reverse Grooves that I wore this morning to teach, because it was a chilly 48 degrees outside (fall is arriving in the Colorado mountains). They still fit me like a glove, and I love them. Lululemon does best, I think, with those sort of basics. Where they get off-track is when they try to venture too far from their roots. They've come a long way in just a few years. We can all remember having to search out Lululemon, it wasn't that common. I hope they stay the course, perhaps make a course adjustment, and find their identity again. Okay, I really need to stop this rant! I appreciate @pamela, your comments about the Audrey coat not being worth the price due to the poorly functioning zipper. I like the looks of it but the pricetag is scary. Happy long weekend to all! :)

I bought the Audrey Jacket today... after an hour of trying on the size 8 and 10 and the Everyday Yoga Jacket. Ended up going with the Size 8... It is shorter than the Everyday ... but more flattering. It is a structured fit and the collar is amazing. Totally sold out in Canada online now... But still wondering if maybe I should have gone the more practical route with the longer and hooded Everyday... unflattering or not.
