New - Dog Whisperer Jacket

Maybe it's the color but this jacket doesn't do much for me. I like the gathered collar but I really prefer to tuck the hood in or remove it all together if it isn't a flat-lying hood. The jacket looks a tad short but it's hard to tell without knowing how tall the model is. Her CRB is sticking out from underneath so it's probably on the  short side. Not a fan of the D-rings on the upper arms.

Agreed. Some lulu blogs always love everything (lulumom), you have a better eye for detail.

Screw the jacket...sneakers...They look like New Balance with the big "N" on the side but I can't find an exact match on New Balance's website, nor on Zappos. Nike has a pair close but I don't think that's a swoosh on the side.

I don't like the boob-pleats or the D-rings on the arm (why are they there?) It's too baggy over all for my taste.

but perhaps there's a full outfit, and that this is this year's "dog walking" outfit...this year's dog walking pants might be coming out with it!

The D-rings look as if they would clank as I walked in the jacket. Clank, clank, clank.

I noticed those sneakers, too. I love the orange laces.

@ 7:47 pm - I'm not Canadian so it's not a matter of national pride for me to love whatever Lululemon produces no matter how impractically designed. Additionally, their stuff is expensive and if they are demanding top dollar for gym clothes I demand top quality, fit, function, and design in return. They used to be a lot better on delivering all those things to us. I think things have slipped a bit since they went public, particularly quality. I hope that turns around because I am still a huge fan of their clothes.

I'm confused about why you continue to blog about them if your so unhappy with everything.

@ Anon 3:34pm: LuluAddict, if I may...I believe LuluAddict can write whatever she wants. She is providing an unbiased, real life account of her observations with this particular brand. There are quite a few other bloggers that do much the same. Regardless, LuluAddict has made it very clear over her nearly 3-years of blogging what pieces are worth the money, what pieces fit certain sizes better, what colors work best with whatever skin tone, what will last, etc. This is not a "bashing" blog. On the other hand, it is not a "worshipping" blog, either. Neither would prove useful to any of her readers. LuluAddict blogs for the sake of having an open-minded, adult conversation about a topic she is relatively passionate about. Those who participate do so for much the same reasons. And if I'm completely off the mark, please feel free to correct me.

there's a difference between straight up product bashing and constructive criticism. i think luluaddict is on the right side, and at least she's honest! besides, i've seen lululemon post on here before, so i know they read it. i hope they take some of the suggestions and make their product line better.

hey guys, glad you like my shoes.they aren't Merrells, they're Nike Air Max 2009+. I got them at Frontrunners Westshore in Langford, BC.

You don't even need to buy those specific shoes to get orange laces!

(Learned about this at my ING Rock n' Roll Philly half marathon 3 weeks ago)

Off Topic- Saw someone at Wegmans today wearing a Lolo Tadasana Jacket. The poof in the back was hanging down below the waist band. Didn't love the look. Maybe if she pulled the waist band down to low waist/hip it would have looked better? Anyway, helpful to see it in person!

I have to say, as a Canadian, I take a little offense to the statement about buying Lulu because of national pride? That is completely and totally ridiculous....I too expect quality from their products, I find it highly disappointing that since they moved production to china that quality has decreased and the prices certainly have not! I am also growing increasingly frustrated with their "pricing" policies and how people who live close to stores get better treatment!
Buying Lulu has nothing to do with national pride....I bought lulu because it was good quality, because I felt I was getting what I paid for....I am not so sure anymore!

I don't think the D-rings would clank....to "clank" it would need another metal object to hit...it's not going to "clank" against the jacket material...
I believe the d-rings may be to roll up the outer sleeve...possibly there is a string to loop through them after the sleeves are rolled up....

Agreed. Unsubscribed.

There are a pair of D-rings on each arm so there is potential for them to make noise as you walk.

I didn't mean any offense by my national pride comment. Why shouldn't Canadians take pride in a company that has had a major impact on athletic wear for women and has developed so many innovative technical fabrics? Why shouldn't Lululemon be their first choice to spend their athletic wear dollars over a non-Canadian company? I just am at a loss to explain why some people get upset when I criticize some of their design decisions/amateur-hour website and why people aren't more critical. Since Lululemon has gone public they have deliberately tried to squeeze every last bit of profit at the consumer's expense. They moved manufacturing out of Canada, the more elaborate (i.e., expensive) designs such as the Deep V have been discontinued, they've gotten rid of the beautiful prints that I think really put them on the map, the same colors are repeating over and over (senorita pink, wish blue/bold blue, citron/alfalfa/brisk, etc.), the stitching requirements have been relaxed because so many different types of garments are coming unraveled or fraying, they've changed the luon formula so it pills more easily, etc., etc. It's sad because they used to have this bulletproof clothing with unique designs and prints. It fit great and lasted great and now it's all really changed for the worse. I hope they rediscover their roots but since they are making money hand over fist I don't think it will happen for quite awhile if ever.
