NEW!! Run: Ambition Pullover (Brushed Power Luxtreme)

Hmmm, the new Run: Ambition Pullover looks cute enough. I like the solid color and very clean lines that are not mucked up with ribbon detailing or blocks of static luxtreme. Looking forward to trying this on but I didn't think the brushed power luxtreme was super warm. Comes in Snorkel Blue, Passion, and Black. I got this from a Seattle area store and the Santa Monica store so it's here in SoCal. I will have to hunt it down this weekend.

Product Info:
  • Be ambitious! This longer length pullover keeps your bum warm during winter runs
  • Introducing new Brushed power luxtreme™, softer and warmer than the old favourite
  • Body-mapped anti-stink circle mesh panels
  • Running luon® cuffs with thumbholes and tuckins keep your hands warm
  • Customize warmth and ventilation with 2 cinches at your hood!
  • Kangaroo pocket with hidden music storage
  • Easy access back zipper pocket for cards, keys & sport snacks
  • Snorkel Blue, Passion, Black, Sizes 2-12

I am really liking the look of this. I plan on checking out my local store in the morning and I hope they have it. I wanted to try on the Ambition Crop (which I know they have) but I hope this is there too. I like all the colors but I would definitely get it in snorkel blue and black. I am so glad it's a simple design as you mentioned and I don't have a luxtreme or brushed luxtreme jacket yet.

Yesss! A normal looking pullover that is FREE OF RUFFLES. I sadly missed out on the Inspire, so I think I will pick this up. I just wish it came in more colors, I don't like snorkel or passion. Guess it'll be black for me.

I wonder if that neckline would be annoying when running?

Other than that, I love the look of this hoodie.

This is cute, but I wouldn't wear it for running. The neckline doesn't provide any way to adjust your temperature if you start to get too warm (and, as ojodeazul mention, looks like it might be annoying while running). And the kangaroo pocket is a totally useless feature for running - and depending on how you swing your arms, just creates an opening to catch your thumbs on. I feel like Lulu has been placing more focus on style and less on function lately.

This looks cute, but I finally cut the tags off my Alpine Pullover this morning. Comparing this to the Alpine, the drawstring is a nice addition for when the hood is up. I think I have a tiny head :) The alpine hood shifts around. I might try wearing my brisk earwarmer with it next time to take up a little more space. I also tried repositioning my ponytail higher mid-run to keep the hood from slipping back too much.

Looks like this has ribbing in the back maybe, kinda like the Spirit Pullover <3

I like that there is music storage in the kangaroo pocket (not just the hidden key pocket in the Alpine).

The kangaroo pocket was good for... holding an unused dog bag while walking my pup this morning. I don't trust putting my mp3 player in there unsecured.

I like the way it looks, but I already have two Alpines. Also, I don't know that I love the cuffs- I like the way it looks but if I layer it with a l/s swiftly, things could get tight around the wrist.

I know this comment will enrage the koolaid drinkers, but the model's hair has a dishelveled appearance. And yes appearance matters. All of those that cry outrage are kidding themselves, we all buy lulu for the look and function of it.

Anon at 8:11 - hehehehehehehe. =)

So I'm def taking back the Pow Purple Dash for this... but I'm wondering how functional it is for running. Is there any way to unzip the neck/top? It may get too hot...

I like this pullover! I'm intrigued by the longer length statement in the product info because I'd love a long length pullover instead of a zip-up hoodie. The colors aren't my favorite, but I'm willing to give them a try.

Wonder how much this one will be.

Yeah we buy Lulu for the fit, function and appearance of the clothing...who gives a crap about her hair. I didn't even notice it. The pretty color blinded me from things that don't effect my running.

Can't wait for all the new colors to come out!

I do care about the models hair, Lulu should pay attention to details when selling an item.

Lulu does come up short on the function of some of their clothes, |I find their Luon too warm to run in, and some of their lined pants are too cold to run in an Canadian winter.

The Pullover is $99 that what GEC told me.

99 seems par for the course with pullovers. I may have to try this out in passion and see if I like it. Since Passion is MY favorite color...

Called Pasadena, Bev and SM stores. They don't have it. SM was adamant that they never got this...this was in their email send?

In FB, somebody said that the PA came from a store in Seattle.

I get the Santa Monica Product Alert - it was in the one they sent out yesterday. How odd. It was also in the Seatle?University email, too.

Oh no, I just the Run Post Pullover. I may want this too.

Lulu should pay attention to the details of the item and make sure it fits properly on the model and that all the features are advertised correctly.

I could care less about weather or not her hair is perfect. I'm not looking at her hair, I'm looking at the clothing. She's a cute girl and she wears the pullover well.

That being said this colour is gorgeous and really tempting me, but I have no need for a luxtreme pullover when we're finally getting some real winter weather in Toronto.

These brushed luxtrme pullovers came into the Denver store today in black, white, snorkel and passion. They are really comfy and a heavier weight than the running luon but not as heavy as the alipine. There was also a new running luon pullover called the run resolution. It had a zip neck with a hood and came in (I think) static grey, static black and what looked like a very fine microstripe passion and snorkel.

I picked up the Run:Ambition crops yesterday and wore them running, about 6 miles in 34 degree weather. At no point were my legs warm, but I was comfortable enough. I like them, but still may have to try the Alpines. The tag describes them as a crop for early spring. They have no reflective elements. Is this the normal time for Lulu to be transitioning to spring?

@ Denver Mom - Thanks for the heads up on the Run Resolution. Interesting about a hooded running luon pullover. I will try to find photos of it.

@ Amanda - I think the spring running line comes out towards the end of Januar/Feb after the big Xmas push is over.

Thanks! This is the first time I am paying much attention to the product selection (used to purchase items more occasionally and randomly). It's good to know what/when to expect. Spring feels so far away.

I thought it was weird too that the Ambition was supposed to be run, yet no reflection. Hustle crop is not specifically a run item, but has reflection.I would think brushed luxtreme would be too warm for inside (I don't want anything warmer than regular luxtreme for spinning or treadmill running)

I live in NY, and I have no desire to buy light pullovers right now. Especially since they are all starting to blend into each other! :) There's so many! Also, to be honest, I won't ever buy one with a ponytail hood. I think it looks really, really goofy. Functional maybe. Definitely awkward looking. Wear your hair low in a bun if you want the hood up! haha
