My Old Review of the Hot Class Tank from January 2010

I dug up my old review of the Hot Class tank:

I also tried on the Hot Class tank. I had to go down a size since I believe the initial release is only up to a 10 but I liked how it felt, which was pretty much like you weren't wearing anything from waist down. I thought this tank is a vast improvement over the Bulerias - the top part accommodates bustier ladies better and the bottom part did not poof out. I really liked the feel of the luon sheer jersey - lightweight and silky. The only negative I thought was that the straps were too stretchy and not adjustable. Very low support. I'm hoping they have a second release that includes the 12s. I'd buy one to wear at home on hot days.

Hot Class Tank Features:
- Sweat it out in this low support how yoga tank
- Made with quick drying Power Luxtreme provides inherent wicking abilities, keeping you drying and comfortable
- Luon Sheer Jersey body is lightweight and flows with you during your practice
- Bra elastic adds support without restricting
- Side drawcords gather for personalized length and ventilation
- Mesh bra construction with built in pockets for removable cups

Hmmm, I'll have to try the Hot Class Tank on again and refresh my memory about it.

Any guesses on when this will arrive at either one of the OC stores? I love the bra and am hoping this'll come in solids.

Hi! This is off-topic (sorry) but I'm heading to Disneyland for a weeks vacay and was wondering what stores would be good to visit and close by to the resort. Thanks and love your blog:)

Does anyone know the price of the Hot Class Tank?? and what colours it comes in??

I really like this color combo. I'm looking forward to trying it on. Don't know if it will be a keeper, but I hope more things come out in the soft jersey (maybe CRBs!).

I prefer the versions that are all one color - the ones that have the contrast detailing are probably going to be a pass for me. Unfortunately, I think the only solid color one is going to be all black and I already have that one. Would love an all Plum or all Concord Grape version - but that's probably wishful thinking. :)

Thanks anon 4:44! I called my local store (Irvine) and they do have them in stock. I'm guessing it just arrived.

Anon 7:47: They come in black, grey and grey +purple, to quote the educator who answered.

Chirunner: If you want it somewhat solid colored, the grey is your best bet bc of the two different fabric types, she said. With the black, the two fabrics are more noticeable.

I love the hot class tank! I have three of them from last year and they are great to wear to hot yoga. They are super soft and wash well. I just hope it comes in solids (besides black) because if you already have the contrast coloring from last year -- this looks the same as the violet/coal and citron/coal from last year.

Do the Hot Class Shorts fit like the Boogies, in terms of inseam and rise?

Anonymous 2:34: The Irvine Spectrum Store is probably the closest- directly south about 15 miles on the 5! Newport Beach is the other option, but harder to get to :) Enjoy California!!

Anonymous 2:34: Newport Beach (Fashion Island Mall) has a bigger sale section than Irvine if that helps!

Do you mean January 2010? This isn't that old, is it?

@anon11:51: the hotclass shorts have a shorter inseam and a lower rise (they are actually quite low rise in the front which I happen to like)

Dear Hot Class Tank Owners: Does this stay put in inversions? Thanks.

@ anon 2:34 am - If you are coming in April the new store at South Coast Plaza mall might be open and you can visit three stores while you are here. The Newport and Irvine stores are close to Disneyland and each other. If I am going to one, I usually go to the other since they are only 11 miles apart. The sale racks between the two stores bounce back and forth between which one is better. The Newport store is larger but each often has slightly different items that the other won't have so it pays to go to both. If you can only go to one, I'd say Newport. If you venture up into LA, you can visit the Santa Monica store, which is huge.

Anon @2:12 pm, I have the same question. The neckline looks a little too low for yoga especially during the downward dog pose. I would be afraid that the girls will spill out.

i'm wondering more about the stomach area. since it cinches and drapes the way it does, it doesn't seem like it would stay put in an inversion?

I'm only a full 34B and I bought the 8. I found that the top part held the girls in and didn't spill out. It didn't seem any more worrisome than my other tank, e.g. Insight tank. An 8 is my usual size and I also tried the 10. I didn't spill out from that one in a downward dog either, but the ribcage area was definitely a bit looser.

As far as the stomach are is concerned, it does droop down in inversions because it's the luon light. I didn't do a full headstand or anything, but when I tried out a downward dog, the abdomen area dropped about an inch or two. This was without cinching.

I wear a size four in the tank and am not well endowed so it fits perfect on my chest and I don't feel too exposed or that I'm spilling out. It is def light to moderate support and I don't think I could wear it if I was more endowed. It does have a string on both sides that I cinch when I do down dog poses. I don't do headstands so I'm not sure about that. I like this tank better than the yogi dance tank and the gather dance tank. Both tanks I find annoying when I'm in downdog poses because the stomach part keeps riding up even though I cinch it.
