I have this skirt in a white tall. Love the extra length.
I'm not particularly "tall" 5'7" on a good day, but I like the idea of a tall option in a skirt.
mini wednesday upload on the website...
As a tall person, it makes me incredibly angry when short people buy up the supply of tall skirts! Being just over 6 feet, the regular length skirts are wildly inappropriate for pretty much any activity. Please leave some tall skirts for those of us who need them! There should be some sort of height requirement to buy them.... hmmm, maybe I should write a letter to Lulu HQ....
Luluaddict - do you use the Lululemon Exchange? I would like your opinion (and others) on this matter:
I noticed that someone posted a "NWOT Educator Goals Tee" for $50. If this is a tee-shirt made for the educators to wear, of course it doesn't have tags. It was never meant to be sold by Lululemon. She wrote "Educator Goals" like it's the name of a tee that Lululemon produced and sold. I commented on the post and said "I would not pay money for something that was given to an employee for free, although others might". I went back to look at the picture again.. and my comment was deleted! Now, I have no idea if the educators would have to pay for these shirts or not, but I assume that they do not. (If anyone works for Lululemon, and you DO have to pay for these, please correct me)
The Exchange is a place where Lululemon lovers are supposed to go and get DEALS and reasonably priced coveted items! I am worried someone is going to get ripped off by this person... I mean, $50 for a free t-shirt?!?! Also, she says "buyer pays paypal fees"!!
Please share your thoughts!
Thanks so much for posting! How much was this when it came out?
Anon @ 2:00
Educators DO NOT have to pay for those shirts...at least when I used to work there. Sometimes they have extras that they sell to guests, but I have only seen this done with marathon shirts (specifically at the Chicago Halsted store and not this past year).
Anon @1:44 - get over yourself.
Lulu Addict - Saskaton has a picture posted of that coal strata flow y you had mentioned.
@ 1:44 pm - you are being funny, right?
@anon 2:00 pm - I don't think the educators make that much money and they are required to buy Lululemon clothes to wear to work. I usually see them wearing the latest items so I don't begrudge them a way to make some extra $. If someone chooses to pay $50 for a shirt they really want I see no harm in it. This person has a hard to find item and she is offering to the Exchange board. If no one buys it then she'll have to lower the price.
The UVillage store has repetition tanks in aruba, concord, and black. Idk if you've posted anything about them, but it's a simple spaghetti strap tank with a v in the front made of two layers of the mesh stuff that's on the bottom of the repetition crops, but no contrast colors.
@anon 3:44 pm - Thanks! I'll keep my eye out for some photos.
Saw these skirts at the Scottsdale store but didn't notice if they were in size tall or not. I do love these skirts a lot more than some of the others like the reflection skirt etc. because this skirt is so soft. Hope they make it in other colors this year.
Yep - was totally kidding. Not sure how someone could take a comment which invokes a visual of a 'must be this tall to ride' sign at the til seriously! Too much time on the computer, not enough time at the gym?
In all seriousness, they do need to make longer shorts & skirts - either in a 'tall' version or just different styles. A slightly longer pair of running shorts would be much appreciated. Part of the reason I love lulu is that they frequently have shirts that are long enough (ie CRBs, the new swifty tees - the ones from a couple of years ago were super short), in contrast to Nike & adidas.
They did make that longer groove short, the Biker Groove, but it was too long and hit at an akward length. I would love a Reverse Groove short with a 9"/10" inseam. The biker groove had an inseam of 11.25" in the size 12 which is a little too long. I guess I could take it in to get hemmed. My Tall Boogie Ons have an inseam of 9.5" which I really like. I think the older Tall Reverse Grooves came with a 7" inseam but I can't remember.
LA and others who spin - have any of you tried the speed skirts for spin? What are your thoughts?
@ Michelle Q - I don't wear the skirts - they are just too short for me. The shortest bottoms I've worn to class is the Zoom Knee Shorts and my tall Boogie On Shorts (9.5" inseam).
I have seen a woman wear a running skirt in spin class before. However, hers was not Lululemon and it was a little longer.
Ironically, despite being a short 5'2", I had to buy a speed skirt in the tall today. I was a definite 6 in the skirt and they only had a tall in that size at the Irvine store. I asked them if there's a huge difference and they said about an inch or so in length. I need that skirt to go stand up paddling this weekend (and I never wear shorts) so I didn't bother trying to get one from another store. The tall size looked fine and the educators didn't even know it was a tall until I told them. I'm hoping to wear them as street wear since the length is fairly modest and hopefully to yoga as well.
Sorry, tall people, for buying the tall size!
