Today's Shopping Trip

I went to my local stores today to try and find the black Seabed Power Y to try on. The stores had it but only up to a size 8. I think sometimes the initial shipment the stores get are the smaller sizes and then they get the larger ones a day or so later. Anyway, I didn't get to try it on but I did try some other new stuff on.

First up, the Sing Floss Travel Jacket. I really liked this. As people have noted, it's very similar to the Wear With All. I think it's a few inches shorter since the zipper is not two-way like in the WWA. The zipper is made of metal. However, it isn't a super sharp metal and in the jacket I tried on the zipper was black so it's not that ugly brass zipper lulu was using in some of their jackets.

One-way Zipper
It's a nice enough jacket but the colors it's out in right now are kind of dull. If something super cute like the WWA below comes along I might consider getting it but for right now I can live without it. I also wouldn't mind it in a brighter, fun color for summer.

Two Tone Wear With All
The stores also have a bunch of new Scoop Neck tanks. This is another one that was made in Canada. It is black and Concord Grape.

I haven't seen any photos of this one, either. This is the all-sailor stripe Scoop. This is also made in Canada.

There is also a new Coal and White Microstripe Scoop Neck out. This one is not made in Canada. I was very tempted to get this today.

I didn't get a Scoop Neck today but I did buy the Black and Fruity Tootie one yesterday.

I tried on the Black Citron Tinted Canvas Pure Focus today. I liked it but the band of the print at the bottom hit me at the widest part of my hips and since I am a pear-shape I didn't like how it drew attention to that area. I have the black version of this tank and the bottom band just blends into my pants. I also tried on the Grapeseed one and liked that better since the it's all one color but I decided I could live without it.

I tried on the Heathered Sand Dune and Heathered Blurred Gray Define jackets today. I love the feel of the heathered luons. They are so soft and feel almost like running luon. The Heathered Sand Dune is pretty but I really have nothing to wear with it except my Sand Dune microstripe CRB and my Wren Defines and Wren Dance Studio Crops, neither of which I would wear to the gym. I also would have preferred the Heathered Sand Dune Define to be all one color to make coordinating tops easier.  I really loved the Heathered Blurred Gray Define. It was super soft and so cozy. However, I thought it might show perspiration when I use it for walking. I might think about it and decide to get it anyway since it feels so good on but I've been spending enough at lulu lately and don't really need another jacket. I also tried on the Tango Red Define but the orange tones in the red really turn me off. Also, I can't really figure out what to wear it with other than my black and gray tops. Most of my tanks are purple, pink, peachy, and wish/bold blue - none of which coordinate with Tango Red. I have a Passion Define that goes with a lot of tops I already have so I don't need another jacket from the bright orange family in my wardrobe.

I tried the new Back Bend Crops. I had to try the next size down so I didn't get a good sense of what they would really look like. They have a nice wide waistband that I love. The luon also seemed to be the new better luon that my new Groove pants are made of. The product alerts I saw said they go up to a 12 so I am hoping they will show up in my size at the store.  I liked them but I don't know if I would get them over a pair of Groove crops.

I saw the new Mind over Matter Jacket. It does look very cute on the hanger. However, it is priced at $128 and I cannot see paying that for a half a windbreaker without zipper pockets. If it hits the mark down racks at around $40 I might get one.

There are a couple of new wide headbands out in light gray pique and the coal white microstripe. I got the pique headband. I also get a couple of Vinyasa scarves. I bought a static coal one at the first store and then I saw the light gray pique at the second. I am only going to keep one, probably the light gray pique version.

I see the website uploaded some new stuff in Tango Red. I would have thought they put up some of the Black Citron Tinted Canvas print stuff.

I forgot to add I also tried the V-neck swiftly on. I liked it and didn't see much difference in fit from a regular swiftly, although those tend to be all over the place depending on color. I have five swiftly tees so don't really need one but if it comes out in an unusual color like Savage green I'd pick one up.

The newest version of the vinyasa scarf is AMAZING. They make the scarf much wider this time, and it lays so much better and keeps you much warmer after yoga class/gym time. I recommend it to everyone!!! I bought the grey textured version...not sure if it's pique or not.

@luluaddict Have you seen the vinyasa scarf yet/do you own one. Are you a fan? I didn't think I would be until I tried this latest one on.

Do you remember what colours you saw in the mind over matter jacket?

The Grey pique Vinyasa scarf is amazing- people were following me out of the store- since I got the last one in MN!!! LOVE! Have worn every day since Sat morning!

@ anon 1:47PM hahaha I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine also :) I wasn't that impressed with the last ones to come through lulu, but this one???? YES. It was one of those things I ripped the tags off of immediately instead of wanting to look at it a while to be sure I liked it. ;)

I'm not a wearwithall fan. Too tight all the way through the body and the arms and too long on my 5'7 frame (so i'm not a shorty). Tried the sing floss today and love it. More relaxed through the body and arms and still tush covering while not overwhelmingly long (about the same length at the pure balance jacket). I got the black which is pretty basic and "boring" but will get a lot of use. I'd definately buy it in a "color"

The V-neck short sleeve swiftlys are awesomely flattering. Got the tango : )

I saw the MOM jacket in the black version only.

I haven't tried the Vinyasa scarf yet but I finally succumbed to the hype and got one. I haven't played with it yet.

I was recently lucky enough to visit a lululemon store while on vacation... and walked out with an empty wallet....
But my lulu meter had sprung to full, and was greatly happy with my purchases.... a heathered grapeseed crb, a heathered tango red crb, a black crb, the new energy bra in black, and a pair of black speed shorts.
(btw luluaddict the heathered tango red looks amazing over a peachy pink tank... i like to layer too)
looking back though, the store (a small store) had limited sizes and colors (they hadn't received any of the black citron tinted canvas...and i was the one to buy the last pair of size 4 speed shorts.... would have really liked to have a pair of groovy run shorts, but they didn't have any in black in my size...only the coal and senorita pink)

but like i said i walked away happy, because in the back of my mind i knew the company was revamping their website, and i had hope that if i couldn't find it in the store then i could possibly find it online.....
and then came today. they uploaded a ton of product in tango red (which i am sorta a fan of... i like colors of top and blacks on bottom) early this afternoon. i got the email while on my last break at work, and i was ecstatic! i couldn't wait to get home and order some new crbs. well too my disappointment by the time i got home to order, my size in the tango red was sold out, along with the white.....

i guess the point of my story is that after all this hard work lululemon has put into their website, I'm once again left lingering in hopes of a restock upload...

happy wearing (especially to all who have been able to buy what they want),

I'm sorry but the mesh jacket looks useless.

I just bought the vinyasa scarf after passing it up the last time. I love how soft it is but I haven't played around with it yet! Also bought the tinted canvas modern racer and the heathered blurred grey "sing, floss, travel" jacket. Was going to hold out for colours in it but grey is so easy to pair with any colour! So I caved...

Also noticed another new colour called "Dhalia"? Not sure if anyone has seen it yet, but its a deep purple similar to lolo purple. There's a scoop neck on my local lulu's facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/lululemonkelowna

Grey pique Vinyasa scarf is x2 heavy compared to regular grey version. I liked the fabric and the color of pique, but would not carry this additional weight around, especially in the sumer time. Also, I notices it already rolled on both sides and made little pipes when I tried it on a couple of times. I ended up keeping the regular grey version.

-$128 for the fish net? no thanks.
-tango red define looks better at the day light outside (more red)vs in the store (more orangy). I bought one today
-new crops both at $86 canadian each vs $68 regular crop. I understand lulu charges premium for the version with the tie and gazillion stitches. I do not get why they charge $86 for the Backbend crop??? that is 2-3" shorter than real crop and has a simple design.

@anon 4:46pm I noticed the rolling too, but it doesn't matter when the scarf is so wide anyway. I definitely think it looks more expensive than the last ones, and I'll take that over a less heavy scarf anyday. It's really not that heavy???

I found the vinyasa scarf a bit heavy but mostly i feel like it really bulges out in the back where all the snaps are - i even undid some hoping that would make a difference. It looked amazing in the front but then I caught a glimpse of the back in my mirror and it was HUGE and bulged. also, i tried all the ways to wear it and really, I only like 2 or 3. some of the ways didn't even work on me because the scarf was too short to wrap around the way it needed to... and I'm a sz 4-6. anyone else having issues? i also wonder if it wasn't a bit longer the last time they made it?

@5:25 pm Well, I personally only like wearing the scarf wrapped as an infinity scarf...don't care for the other ways to wear it anyway!

I officially own the vinyasa scarf in 4 colors now (citron from the fall, pique, static charcoal, and black), and I'm so happy! I keep telling myself that I'm going to sell one or two on ebay, but I know I won't. Even the educator who checked me out recommended that I sell it on ebay rather than return it to them.

I bought 3 pique scarfs for friends last week but they ended up finding them in their store so I returned them today. All 3 were then purchased by the educators when there were customers that clearly wanted them. BOO!!!

Lulu addict, did you find the heather define fit tighter then the regular defines? I tried on the red as well as the heather and felt the heather fit a little snugger. I would have sized up but they sold out on that =( they only received one size 8.

Has anyone seen the Sing Floss Travel jacket in surge blue in real life? I've only seen the product notification, and really love it!

I bought the Backbend Crops today -- can't say enough good stuff about them. I'm ridiculously picky about tight pants because my butt is lumpy no matter what and I hate seeing that in workout wear. The BB Crops are COMPLETELY flattering. SO comfortable!

Also grabbed The Luon Headband in gray pique. Only saw that in one store so far. And I got a Heathered Blurred Gray Define jacket yesterday and the feel is amazing.

My credit card is in ICU...
