Those may be the least flattering pants ever.

Not by a long shot. Do a search (upper left corner) for Harem Yoga pants. *Those* were the worst pants ever.

You know, I know that a lot of people will probably love that bra, but it just looks really busy and also painful with all those adjuster-thingies. Imagine trying to roll on your back. Ouch.

Loving the black wee stripe in stride. I've never owned this style jacket mostly because of the quality complaints over the past year. Does anyone know if these issues have been resolved?

Seriously - those pants... wtf???

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 6:15 pm - If you read the reviews on the lulu website about the In Stride, they still mention issues. I think it's because people rub their arm against the open zipper of the pocket. If you can remember to keep the zipper pockets closed, I think you'll probably be ok.

I may be the only one who's excited about them, but those blurred grey free fall crops look cute! I have a pair of the Here I Am crops from last year and love them! I love slipping them on after a long bike ride or a run, and the Free Fall's look even less drop-crotched so I could probably wear them to a hatha or yin yoga class as well.

Whatever store took the photos of the navy ones though did a poor job - the fit is obviously off. They've been pulled down too far on the leg so they look awkward, and the model is probably wearing the wrong size because they look too saggy in the bum, and the waistband is rippling at the top.

Thanks for the response LLA! I definitely think the black wee stripe will be my first in stride. Pockets will remain zipped! Hopefully the patterned fabric masks pilling!! Ive seen a few solid colored in strides that look ragged after a few wears.

I also have "here I am crops" and I thought they were ugly when they came out, but tried them on when they were on sale, and I gets tons of compliments on them. I will try on the free fall crops, a loose luon pant is comfy.

LLA...thanks for giving me a belly laugh when I did the harem yoga pant search!!!

I tried those pants on today. Yikes! I also saw the increase on the Modern Racer tanks. Boo! I left with a pair of Cool Down Crops. I just bought two pair of DSC (about time they showed up!)on the website so the cool downs may be going back tomorrow.

Alright. If they increase the price on the MRBs that might just be the straw for me. Buh-bye Lulu. There have been too many CS and quality issues lately and a dip in design/colors/etc. too and now you want me to give you even more money???

Elle said...

I agree! The black MRT's were $42 and the colors still $39. I made a comment, but I know it's not the employees fault. Just frustrating. The site is completely down again, so something is happening.

IMO, these pants are a take on the Harem Pant designed by the lab. Could be cute if you bought the right size and wore it in a flattering way. :)

On me they looked frumpy. Like the 80's looking stirrup pants but shorter and without the stirrups. They were snug enough on the calves to stay down or pull up, but the butt is cut long so they gave this weird diaper butt look. They were kind of comfy and would be perfect for Thanksgiving. I would have never ever worn them in public though (reason for not buying). I say Bring Back the Studio Crops - they work!

Is it just me, or is that warrior bra ridiculous??? If I wanted to look like i have to wear two sport bras, I would just wear 2 I already own, not buy one expensive one to get the same uncomfortable look. Not good in the back at all. Being bigger in the bust I actually have to wear two sport bras to run. But I would never actually CHOOSE to wear it(especially for "low" support"). Might be cute on a smaller bust. But a bigger bust will just look all stuffed in.

wow - this is one of the fugliest collection of items I have seen from Lulu since maybe a year and a half ago.

Anonymous said...

No the InStride pills zipper closed or not. The solid colors are the worst offenders, the Strada ones not so much.

Anonymous said...

I saw the grey se scuba today. blah looking.

Anonymous said...

@elle: LMAO about the "Thanksgiving" comment & those pants!

I've been reading for many months now that we all seem to want a nice green, teal, bright pink, etc. Why isn't anyone at Lulu listening???

The Warrior 1 bra straps are like my Centered tank's straps. Really do not like to have to adjust all four straps and hard to get them all the perfect length. Kinda like if you mess around with one strap, you'll have to readjust all the other three. Also, like what was mentioned earlier, it's painful doing spinal rolling on my back! Pass on that and I'll be selling my tank on ebay!

Anonymous said...

I'm pretty sure the main color of the Scuba is Magnum, MAG/GSO or something like that...

Anonymous said...

The MRTs online (US) are all still $39. The black $42, as mentioned above, is it any different than the plain black at $39 online? If not, wonder why it's different price or online just hasn't caught up with price changes?

Definitely not into any of these items. Le sigh.

momof5 - Thanks for the link to www.sandiegofit.com. I love a tank with an interesting back and there are tons of those on this site. I haven't tried Balance Fitwear or any of the other brands on this site, but I will soon.

I used to have the Here I Am pants, too. I ended up selling them since I never wore them. I think there is a good chance the Free Falls will end up on markdown. I'll get them then. They look like good Sunday afternoon nap pants.

I agree - I haven't been very excited by any designs or colors that have come out for the last few weeks. I do like my new Take Flight Bike Shorts a lot but that is a specialized piece I've been wanted for awhile. Not everyone is in the market for shorts like that. The lulu item I like most to collect is tanks so I feeling especially bereft since there haven't been a lot of new designs or even cute new prints. The Deep Breath and Cicuit Tank don't work for me and that's all that has come out lately. My wallet can use a bit of a break, though.

I saw the Black wee stripe In Stride today and it looks & feels great. Too bad I'm not in the market for it...

I picked up the Citron wee stripe CRB -- it's a subtle stripe to be sure, but it's one of the few yellow things that is actually flattering on me (I'm mousy-blonde and easily wash out). On a brunette, etc, this will look even better!

The surge wee stripe CRB is a total home run. I don't have enough blue/green in my wardrobe to warrant it, but it is a strong stripe and it totally pops.

Does anyone know where the dewberry swiftlys are made? Are they the "good" ones, or the ones that seems to pill/tear/shear easily? Thanks!

Anonymous said...

That bra looks awkward, and for it to be 'low support'? WTH, lululemon? I don't think they have a clue how to make anything other than low support bras! The crops seem okay, but only for those who are ballet figured...

Anonymous said...

Google 'Oompa Loompa' and check out their pants. Inspiration?

Anonymous said...

I am ballet figured and I hate those pants - they look horrendous! Tried them on yesterday.

Anonymous said...

@ anon. 8:06.

Sorry for generalizing, and good to know that hockey-leg types and ballet-leg types are in the same boat! Too bad for lulu. Were the pants at least comfortable?
