I tried this on yesterday at the Square One store in Mississauga... It looked so nice! I'm short (5ft) soo that damn new rain jacket is super long on me, but this actually is great, still above knee. A really good length for taller or shorter girls.
I usually wear a 4 in their hoodies, and I'd say this is TTS, on the big side maybe depending on how you want it to fit. There's definitely room for a thick hoodie, this isn't snug at all, meant to fit like any other jacket where you wear layers underneath.
It feels thick and fairly warm, good for the fall. I wouldn't go as far as to compare it to a really good peacoat though. It's definitely a fall jacket at the most...no clue why the storeperson said "winter" cuz you'd freeze lol.
The button snaps at the top are also awesome... easy to do w/ one hand. I can see why this jacket was/is popular. But with that price tag, I haven't jumped on it yet.
Thanks for the lowdown on the Audrey Maryooo! I just bought the Right as Rain jacket, and plan to try the Audrey on within the 2 week return time so I can settle my mind on which one is more flattering/practical for me. At the moment, I still think the R as R is better for my shape. Not to mention, it's a little less expensive, but expensive nonetheless. :(
Missed out on this jacket last year but just bought it today. I'm glad I waited because the tweed is absolutely beautiful. Thicker than the regular black soft shell and a little heavier too. I am usually a size 6 in lulu tops and the 6 fit nicely in the jacket. I'm 5'8.5" and 160lbs. Definitely worth the money and can't wait until the weather cools down to wear it
I just bought this jacket last week. It is quite warm and comfortable. I agree that the jacket is a bit thicker, but it will be comfortable in the fall winds.
I am about 5'4 and my only beef with this jacket is that the arm length is too long (stops at my knuckles). I bought it anyway cos I love the collar!
I was debating between the Right as Rain jacket and this one. My husband convinced me to get the Audrey because realistically how often am I going to be walking around in pouring rain!
the audrey doesn't have a hood, but the right as rain does. But the Right as rain does not have the soft felt/fleece lining, but the audrey does.
Believe it or not, Zellers has a knockoff of this jacket... almost exactly, except not as good quality I'm sure. There's black and dark blue, no tweed. Check it out - only $60 compared to $228!!

I need this. May have to skip groceries this week! Haha
How warm is this jacket? Is it as warm as a lined wool peacoat?

Size down on this one:)
Found that the Tweed is quite a bit heavier and thicker than the black. It made it a little bulkier and not as comfortable as the black one.
WANT!!!!

I'd like to buy this, but I don't see it on the website - is it in stores?
