Try On Report - Spin Me Tank, Featherweight Hybrid Jacket, Full Tilt SS, and More

I got to try on the new Spin Me tank today. I really liked it, thought it was very flattering, and if I hadn't bought the Get Fit tank last week I might have gotten this one. I tried on the Lavender Gray (very pretty, not see through at all) and the Heathered Coal (my favorite). I think in this tank you might want to size down since it seemed to run on the big side. I don't think it's been noted much but the built-in bra is adjustable. I thought the Heathered Coal luxtreme felt a bit thicker than the solid colored Lavender Gray. I also thought the circle mesh panels of the Get Fit made that tank feel noticeably cooler and more lightweight than the Spin Me but I'm splitting hairs here. The Spin Me was fairly supportive and reminded me a lot of the Push UR Limits, not as supportive as that but pretty decent. I didn't feel the twist in the back strap at all. This tank is pretty long, like the Circuit tank, which is a feature I know a lot of people like but I don't like my tanks being that long. I might go back and try on the Spin Me again but for now it's a pass since I already have a ton of tanks. If I was in the market for a wicking, breathable, moderately supportive tank for the gym I'd definitely get it.

I tried on the Full Tilt SS in Heathered Lavender Gray and really liked it. This shirt doesn't look like workout wear at all, especially in Heathered Lavender Gray. I might have gotten it but the $68 price tag was a bit of a barrier. If money were no object, I might get one but for now I'd prefer to get a long sleeve running luon top in this color. I thought it fit a bit on the big side.

I tried on the Run: Featherweight Hybrid Jacket and really, really liked it. My husband and I have been doing a lot of post-dinner 5K walks and I am thinking this might be a great outer layer for breezy nights that I could layer over a tank or even a pullover. I thought this fit true to size. My store had the black and royalty but I think I would prefer the more solid colored white or surge versions. I'll have to think a bit and decide if I'd rather have this or the black Snowy Owl Scuba I'm waiting to hit the US.

I tried on the Silver Bullet long sleeve. I liked the top a lot though it fit a bit loose in the shoulders and snug in the belly. However, I think that is due to how I am put together and not a fault of the shirt. I feel that the material was too shiny / blingy for me to get a lot of use out of this top. This material also shows perspiration easily and I am kind of tired of going around with obvious pit stains. For the money, I think I'll stick to long sleeve Swiftlys and running luon pullovers unless I find this on markdown.

I ended up getting a new Lucky Luon headband in HDSG which I think stands for Heathered Dark Sports Gray. It's the one on the left in this photo.

Any idea how the Spin Me will feel when laying on your back? Trying to figure out if that twist is a dealbreaker for yoga.

I'm so excited for tomorrow - heading to my lulu store with my sister to find something new (promised myself a splurge for fall). Hopefully they either still have the Pink Pig scuba or the new Raspberry variations! Love the Scuba hoodies, they are practically my jacket for 1/2 the year!

I love the look of Get Fit and Spin Me Tanks. However, i need help in identifying the appropriate sizing for online ordering. Wearing a size 4 in Turbo Tank and CRB (Luon)...

IF you like how the turbo tank fits in a 4, then I'd suggest going with a 4 in the Get Fit and Spin Me Tank too. The CRB is a tight fitting tank so if you're a 4 in that then i'd say you're probably a steady size 4 in most lulu tanks and maybe a 2 (which they rarely make) in more loosely fitting tanks. Although it all depends on how you like the fit to be. Hope that helps.

Anon 6:11pm: I got my Spin Me Tank in the same size as my Turbo Tank. The bra area on the Turbo Tank feels more snug, but it could be due to the fact that it's not adjustable vs. the adjustable bra for the Spin Me Tank. I would only recommend sizing down if you want the Spin Me Tank to be more fitted than your Turbo Tank. Good luck!

Anyone notice how the "loot" section clothes aren't selling as fast as they used to. Seems like loot stuff is sticking around longer now...wonder if it's due to the quality issues. I have not bought a pair of pants from them in 3 years due to their poor quality.

@ Erica, I totally think you could wear the spin me tank for yoga.....the twist doesn't stick out very much at all and I think it's very comfortable! :)

@ Erica - I forgot to press up against the wall to see how the twist felt with pressure on it but I didn't feel it at all when I was vertical. It's made of circle mesh which is a lightweight, stretchy fabric. If you have a circle mesh top (like a No Limit tank), try making a twist out of a corner of it and laying on it to get an approximation.

@ Peony - oh yeah - freaking Loot. So, I bought the perforated Retro Groove gym bag and pieces of the vinyl are chipping off all over the place. I need to bring it back. I have a vinyl Elite gym bag that is at least three years old, that has lots of wear and the vinyl is in excellent shape. Lulu is starting to do with their Loot what Lucy does with their markdowns - put defective merchandise on sale. If an item goes to a quick, big discount you know there is a problem with it. It's happened to me with the Zoom crops and Knee Shorts. Black ones got a first cut markdown to $49 (from $86) which is unprecedented for black luxtreme crops. It turns out there were loose stitching in the seams that needed to be repaired. There were those wraps (Savasana Wrap?) recently that got marked down to something like $59 and quite a few people mentioned they got ones with an odd smell like mildew. Now these gym bags that went to markdown pretty quick. When something is decent quality, lulu will mark it down a cheapass $5 at a time. When there is a problem they'll hack 25% off right away.

I never bought anything from Loot and this is very interesting - thanks for the info! Oh I am dying for a Spin Me tank and they did not upload them today, boo hoo! I wish I lived near a store. Thank you for the Spin Me review - that kind of info really helps me. I think whenever it does go online I'll buy two sizes, in case I need to size down.
