New Markdowns Added Tonight

Some new items were added to the markdown section tonight. As the Lulumum blog noted, if you ordered the black or heathered black City Beat pants that were just uploaded this morning but really wanted the Black Denim version that showed up in We Made Too Much tonight ($18 cheaper), refuse delivery on your order and it will be sent back to lululemon at no charge to you.

That kind of stuff is just plain studpid - I thought they were all about being greedy! Oh well...

I am going to Toronto this weekend on a mini vacation to visit my boyfriend at school, and I TOTALLY want the Bulerias tank in Royalty but it's out of stock on the website in my size, I'm gonna try and find it on markdown in a store this weekend!!

Also it sucks when there are so many tanks on markdowns but only in size 2s or in colours I don't want! Frustrating!

But good for my wallet, as I am an unemployed student ;)

SCORE! Got my black denim city beat pants and couldn't be happier. Well, maybe if the Pigeon CRB was available in my size. What's up with uploading to WMTM at like after 10:30pm (eastern time)..? I was in bed.. boo!

Do the city beat pants run smaller in black denim or TTS?

Are the City Beat pants really long? Looks like most of the pictures show them gathering around the ankles. Not too keen with that look.

Anonymous said...

@yogibabe: I wouldn't say "long," but the bunching at the ankle is a design element, yes.

Black denim typically feels snugger because the material isn't as stretchy.

I think the City Beat pants are designed to pool up at your ankle, similar to the Energize pant. You can always have that hemmed.

I have the city beats and I'd say the ankle bunching is a design...I love them! Get many compliments

Omg I almost bought these pants last night until I saw them on my sista gurl above. They are way too taut and shiny for somebody with thick & muscular legs like me!!! Cute tho but not working for my areas!!! Thanks for posting! LOVE your bloggy...

I think you've gotta be tall, thin, and leggy to pull off the City Beat. Compare the pic on this post to this pic: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qbZFgZD0usU/Tkn3S88l_XI/AAAAAAAAM1Y/gaRyuN7poUM/s640/audrey+jacket+city+beat+pant+sss.jpg night and day. unfortunately i don't fall into the tall, thin, or leggy category, so i'm passing.

Thanks everyone on your answers in regards to the length of the CB pants. An educator also had just given me the inseam, which is 34", and that is unfortunately too long for me. I do not live near a store, so no free hemming. :( Would cost too much to hem, due to the detailing of the hem. (My alteration lady charges $16 for basic hem work.) Pass on this pants then, not the end of the world!

I love seeing the photos on this blog of real life women with varying body types wearing the clothes- it gives me a sense of what things might look like on me!

I agree Anon 8:59am, one of the things I love about this blog is seeing lulu clothes on women of all different shapes and sizes. On the lulu website it is hard to tell with the models and the perfect studio lighting.

Olivia, they had the Bulerias tank at Vaughan Mills yesterday when I was there.

I just made my last (hopefully for awhile) in store purchase. I got two crbs for 29 and a 50 rep bra that was marked down to 29. I cannot justify the price increases, the loot section Ian even what it used to be. The prices are just insane. The cheapest tank they offer is 43, this is workout gear not designer wear!

Anon 9:33: agreed. Lulu is just getting too expensive. I know I will cave when the currant colored items arrive, but the heathered camo, tree frog, and black swan, pretty as they may be, are still too dark for me (tree frog has too much lime in it to look good with my pale skin, light hair).

It will be interesting to see if the blonde haired model on the Lulu website models those colors, or if they get the dark haired models to model those colors.

I like the pics taken outside of what I think might be the SLC store, though!! I lived there for 10 years, and it's pretty this time of year!

^ funny you should say that -- I too am very pale, strawberry blonde, and I pretty much only wear super dark Lulu colors. Black Swan is going to ruin me. Different strokes! =)

Anon 10:20 I have to say, you've given me the inspiration/confidence to try the darker colors with my pale skin, blondeish hair:-)

I am super pale with light hair, and I love the dark colors. I think black swan and camo will look good on me, but tree frog and currant will not. Currant looks like an orangey red and it will clash with my pinkish skin just like tango red did. (I hope I am seeing it wrong and it does not have any orange tone to it.) I hope they come out with a neutral red, or a slightly cool red one day.

I'm REALLY hoping currant is more of a cool red, although not sure it looks that way from the pics. The notion of the color currant is usually a clear red, more on the cool side from what I've seen of other products (non lulu) with that color name- we'll see! Black swan sounds like it will be gorgeous too, and camo is always a good color. A solid camo scuba would look great with jeans and my Camo Tory Burch flats ;) I wear lulu mainly for working out, ut this fall I've decided to get more use from my scubas and actually wear them to places other than the studio. Now- if only my wallet could handle more lulu! FYI, I am fair skinned, dark hair and eyes.

@anon 11:04 AM -- what colors do you normally lean towards for your complexion? I think I have an inner goth, which is why I always go dark! ;) But maybe I'd look better in a different palette? I've been told to stick with jewel tones in the past. That includes... onyx, right? haha!

Anonymous said...

Hi anon 11:04- Onyx rocks!!
wait, I loved black seabed....(onyxy-gray...) I do wear more earth tones. I love the Goth look! I've never been able to pull it off, but...maybe black swan will do it for me! I've also been told to wear jewel tones, but I can't bring myself to do it other than a few CRBs in my closet...Someone said black swan was at their store, but mine didn't have it today. Have you seen it, yet?

Anonymous said...

what is the difference between camo and wren? It doesn't appear to be that much different from the photos i've seen.

Anonymous said...

In real life ,black swan looks like gray with a shade of lolo purple.
I didn't see Camo yet but in the photo it does look like Wren to me..
I was really hoping to see an olive green.
LA~
The "new colors" will be exciting only for someone who is new to lulu.
I have a feeling that we have seen those colors before. my only hope is that there are new designs...

I'm blonde-blue with kinda olive skin and my best Lulu colors this year were the tango red - huge surprise cause I've never liked to wear red. And the split pea green CRB! I got so many compliments on that weird green...."that puke color could only look good on you."

I had to return the heathered pigeon CRB - wow that looked soo bad on me and I was bummed. I am good in dark purples but lavenders don't do me right. Same with gray, gotta be dark. I am looking forward to that dark swan - looks interesting.

I work for a clothing line and it is so so so so hard to come up with new colors each season. You are always tweaking old colors, trying to time it so it is a good amount of time since last time... but Lulu isn't very good at it. They don't always go with the seasons, I didn't really think they had much of a spring or summer color palette at all. They could do more prints in the tops, even though sometimes there is a sacrifice in the feel of the fabric, those are pretty fun.

Hi there,
I need help to find a lululemon city beat pant ASAP. I borrow my sister's pant and I put in the washer machine and now the back of it looks horrible and there is a hole in it. I can't give it back to her like that, so I am desperate to find a new one. I already contact lululemon but they don't have it. Anyone? Any ideas?
