Message From Lulu About Website Orders

Just posted on the Lululemon Facebook page:

lululemon athletica
Hey Ladies,
I can completely appreciate everyone's concerns. We are working really hard to get this resolved for you and it looks like the site is returning to normal and the check-out process should be working smoothly going forward. We ar...e working though confirming everyone's orders so if you have concerns about whether or not yours went through, please email your order confirmation number (if you received one), your first and last name, email address that would have been used to place the order and a contact number for you to geconline@lululemon.com. We will follow up with you as soon as we can confirm the order.
~Tess

Sorry but I think they are STILL blowing smoke up our you-know-whats... The web site is still down right now and I can't get to my orders to see if it went through.... Stop the lies!!

I agree, and I don't want to sound negative, but a lot of the comments we hear from lulu sound like cover ups...but I think that this makes lululemon a fascinating company and adds to their sales. Do you ever hear about other large online stores crash from heavy traffic? Having the online store disfunction adds to customers frustration with getting this high demand wrap - it may make some rush even more to purchase one, for the fear that they will sell out sooner. (Without regard that what she is purchasing is a piece of [beautiful and flattering] overpriced terry cotton made overseas for dozens of dollars less than it's price.)

How on earth would the GW sell out this quickly - we haven't seen something of this scale yet with the new online store. I suspect lululemon purposely limited quantities, as the scarcity model is their greatest sales strategy. Lululemon is a very smart company in this sense!

@ anon 9:15 am - Target's website crashed when Missoni was released. It made national (US)news.

I must have opened it at the exact right time. I checked at 10am, and ordered one GW in size 8 black swan by 1004, logged out and had a nap. I did get a confirmation email and tracking number so hopefully it worked! If not, I guess I can always hope for one of the new colours next time :)

Seriously, some third world pharmacies have more robust websites than Lulu's...it's still in the tadpole stage as far as its evolution goes. I think they need to re-allocate some capital or some IQ to their IT dept..

It was a bad experience- I logged in about 10:05, after racing from an appt to the computer-was thrilled that almost all sizes were still available in black- ordered my GW, pressed complete order-then ...

sat....

and sat...

and sat...

and called.....

customer service answered while website still trying to load- 35 minutes later, to tell me they were out of any size that could be a remote possibility. I felt as if my order had gone through when placed, I would have gotten my GW, it was in stock at 10:05.

Sucks.

Really hoping they restock black.

I think I have to lay off lulu for awhile. It amazes me that they can't even apologize for the inconvenience they've caused. I communicated with the GEC by email and phone, and there wasn't any apology. Am I asking for too much? I wish they'd take a hint from Zappos or other like site. I'm not feeling any love for lulu today!

Anon2:07, I am feeling the same way. I feel like they are jacking customers around and then they play dumb about it.

I didn't try to order anything yesterday, but I did read about all the reports. I am more concerned about them still having the problem that they had when the new web site launched and that is the random customer info with CC# showing up. That's security! And does not make me feel comfortable about ever placing an order with them again.

I'm wondering if anyone that's whining and complaining about not getting a Gratitude Wrap is seriously thinking about how stupid they sound. Why not be thankful that you have $118 to spend on one top instead of whining about the fact that you didn't get one. Maybe it's karma telling you that your money could be helping someone instead.

The credit card issues are obviously a problem, but everyone knows that when you use the internet you are never 100% secure. Sony, who's WAY bigger than Lululemon, just had big problems, so why is everyone surprised that there could be a problem here. But gift cards and use those online.

I was about to make the same point as the above poster, but she beat me to it. :) People are whining that they can't waste $118 on an overpriced article of clothing? I'm having a hard time sympathizing. Though I love my Lulu wear, I'm aware there are much bigger issues in life than a wrap.
