Photos of the Power Technique and Active Strength Tanks

I think I am going to have to give the new Power Technique tank another try. It looks pretty cute in most of the photos I've seen of it, on size twos and size tens - always a good sign. Additionally, it now comes in Black Swan. I haven't taken the tags off my Black Swan Pure Focus so I am thinking I might make a trade. It looks like most of the girls in the photos are cinching it so it bells out a bit at the bottom and isn't so long.

I have not changed my mind about the Active Strength tank. I don't know what it is about this tank but it's not doing anything for any of the women in these photos. It seems to erase their waists or it's too long and the bottom curves too much or something but I don't think it's a flattering cut. It's very cute from the back view but the front is awful.

Got the Power Technique. Sooooo comfortable and pretty. I hope it is released with the next batch of colors, too.

that first photo is stunning! THAT should be what LLL uses for promoting their clothing. it captures the clothing in use as well as showcases what they were originally designed for--yoga/activewear.

Does the Power Technique fits TTS. I had to pass the Power Dance because it was a little bit loose around the top and at I think they didn't make it in a 2, at least 4 was the smallest available for me to try. Remembered waiting for the 2 to pop up online, but to no avail. I am 32A, btw, for reference and built like the girl in the last picture of the PT in Lilac? I am a 2-4 in tops, but I took a 4 in the Pure Focus due to the design across the top-didn't want a "Pit Flap" effect if it cuts across too tightly on top. Thanks!

I dislike how tangled the straps on the Active Strength look. The other one is the nicer of the two tanks.

Excited to see what is all uploaded tomorrow. What time do the usually upload site? And does anyone know if the Live Simply will come in any of the currants or pinks? I'd die for another one! :)

Does anyone know the difference between the Sunburst Quilt in the WU Crops and the Winter Quilt in the WU Pant? I love the pattern with the tree frog in the crop...wondered if the waistband was any different in the pant? Thank you! :)

I think the active strength is just as flattering/unflattering as, say the scoopneck tank. same cut in the front only a little longer. I definitely want one of these.

I picked up the Power Technique tank today in Lilac as a maternity top-- it should carry me all the way until I give birth. Super comfortable and such a pretty color!

(FYI, when I wasn't pregnant, I had a beef with all the maternity-esque tops that Lulu releases. But now it's great.)

I just came from trying on the Herringbone Wunder Unders. Meh. They were alright. I am not a fan of contrasting stitching though, since it tricks the eye into thinking I have camel toe. BIG reason not to buy a pair of pants if you ask me. I usually get 6 in pants at Lulu, and these were a bit snug but it did't bother me. Also, they are thick! I cannot IMAGINE working out in these! If I'm paying $88+tax I want both worlds - casual wear AND athletic wear. I passed. Really want to try the dog run pants though!

Anon 10:51 am - you are so funny. I totally agree about some pants tricking the eye into thinking you have camel toe. I was working out in front of a mirror and I was like "Wait, do I...?" but it was just an optical illusion. But still, I don't want anyone being fooled into thinking that I have CT!

I never thought about that but good catch! Extra savings for me...I was seriously considering them. Thanks for the "fitting" feedback! :)

I tried on the Power Technique tank today. Definitely a pass. Though the black swan color is lovely, I found it very unflattering to my 32C chest. I think the neckline is too high and the solid patch of color almost creates a uniboob effect. I don't have this problem in any other Lulu tanks - in fact, with the cup inserts, I can usually get a nice cleavage effect going :) this tank makes me wish I'd bought the power dance tank last time around

@ anon 8:20 am - I can't agree with you that the Active Strength is as flattering as a Scoop Neck. The Scoopneck is a core tank because it flatters most figures - skinny or not, busty or not. The Active Tank seems does not enhance the figure at all.

@ anon 4:13 am - I think we'll see more Power Technique tanks.

@ anon 5:46 am - I think the Power Technique bra fits a bit snugger than the Power Dance. That being said I sized down so the bottom portion wasn't so volumnious. I think you might want to try the next size down, if you can.
