Off the Mat Jacket: Product Info

Some more photos of the Off The Mat Jacket. It appeared in some of my Product Notices. I think it is only coming in black, sizes 4-10.

I'm reading some comments that it's a bit complicated to put on with two zippers, the neckline is not simple to arrange, and that the front pockets are different depths because of the seaming.

Product Info:
  • This jacket is like wearing a big hug. Put it on after your class to preserve your inner warmth.
  • With a high-pile polyester fleece body that is super soft against your skin
  • Large and cozy sherpa collar can be worn zipped up, or down over the shoulders
  • Body-hugging fit, mid-length
  • Secure zipper pockets for card, keys or music
  • Thumbholes keep sleeves down & cuffins keep hands warm
  • Preshrunk

Gosh, the Off the Mat jacket looks REALLY thick and warm...almost too thick. If I had to wrestle it off as soon as I got indoors, it would be a mistake purchase for me. Any opinion from someone who has bought it or tried it on?

@4:33AM, there are a lot of people who have tried the jacket on in the This Just In group on Facebook. The reviews are very mixed...people either love everything about it and can't stop singing it's praises, or people note that there are too many small issues (too heavy for indoors but not heavy enough for the snowy outdoors, too much mass at the neck, the need for an instruction manual on how to make the neck look good, etc) to make them love a jacket that is $178 before taxes. Overall, it seems like something that people with interest in it will have to try on in order to be sure. (You should have no trouble re-selling it if you try it and find that you don't love it)

Hi! I want to get the Off The Mat Jacket (most likely online) and are wondering how it fits. I am between a 4 and 6 in tops and I got a 4 in my DHBH fleece. I am looking at getting a 6 but want make sure before I order it, would appreciate some info in sizing! Thanks!

I got it yesterday and I LOVE it! I am the exact same sizing as you, bought the 4 DHBH, and went with the OTM in a 6. The 4 was just a little too snug :)

I purchased this yesterday and bought it in my normal size because I prefer a fitted look. It is VERY flattering. I really don't think this jacket is difficult to put on once you figure it out the first time. There is a bit too much fabric at the collar. I made sure to get the styling down before I walked out of the store with it. I really wanted to like the DHBH because it was so soft, but it just wasn't flattering on me, so the softness of this jacket is what sold me on it. I do not think it is that heavy. I think I'm going to wait to see if the Apres pullover is uploaded on Thursday, buy it, and if it's just as soft, I'll return the OTM. I just feel like the price is a bit steep for it not to be a homerun, but I do love it too much to take it back right away...

This jacket looks cheap. Sorry. All the zippers, black is going to fade fast...no thanks.

i just tried on this jacket at my store. i love the body, which kinda reminds me of the method wrap which I LOVE! but the neck, there's so much volume, and it's so open. Even though the jacket is thick and warm, I find the neck to be too distracting and there's no way I would wear this jacket without a scarf which would add even more bulk around that area. I found it very TTS, I tried on my usual size which is 4. Very warm, but bad design with the neck.
