Lululemon Specialized Women's Cycling Team

Photos by Jen See at www.bicycling.com (link is below)
Reader Monica wrote to me a couple of weeks ago letting me know that Lululemon partnered  with Specialized to form a women's cycling team. Lulu designed the team uniform (or kit, as they say in the cycling world). I have to say it's not bad at all compared to the rather dull cycling stuff they design for us mere mortals. I like the pops of paris and currant at the collar. You can find more photos of the uniforms here and here and here.

Any idea if this will be available for us to purchase via Lulu or Specialized?

Please let me know if there is any to get my hands on this! My 2 favorite things combined into one! Yes lulu has made "cycling" named clothing but seriously this is far more beneficial to my sport! (alkoenig@uwm.edu)

I love the striped shading that forms the Lulu symbol on the front--very sharp!

One of my friends out west works for Specialized and has a Specialized Lulu scuba that she showed me many months back. I don't think these will be available to the general public.

oh and I just saw the back--same striped shading but it forms the Iviva symbol. Cool!

Oh wow!!! I really want the jersey!! I am a competitive triathlete and have to agree that most of lulu's "cycling gear" is aimed toward the recreational spin class attendee. This however is so awesome!! I hope they sell these to us!

The kits are so good looking, just as the legs of these women wearing them! But I'm afraid we won't see them in stores or online, these team outfits are usually custom-made. Great job lululemon.

This team is going to be very successful and what better way to promote the brand than to replicate the kit.

There are many after market kits of pro teams. The former team HTC which is now Specialized Lululemon, produced after market kits that were available in women's sizing.

The real customization is if the individual rider is a champion of their respective country, Olympic, or world champ and then the jersey gets special design.

I predict these kits will be available by the summer '12. Again by replicating the kit it's makes for great promotion of a new team.

Lulu had men's uniforms available when they helped sponsor a team a couple of years ago. I'm sure they'll be available eventually.

DONT BUY AT LULULEMON!
I had bought a top for my daughter for her Birthday in Aventura, FL, and when she tried to exchange it for a different size, they REFUSED, because it was just outside of their 14 day return policy, which appeared ambiguous to me, and it was a GIFT.  They failed to put a Gift receipt in the bag with the top, and the sales girl well knew it was a gift, because I requested it be gift wrapped, which they CANNOT DO either.

Customer Service, I do not see it, even after I spoke to their corporate offices, they still refused to accept the exchange.  Hopefully, this blog will send them a message that customer service comes first, and would have been more profitable in the long run.

For me, I will NEVER BUY any LULULEMON again.  You might not want to either if you support me and real customer service.

LULU's own MANIFESTO clearly states "Friends are more important than money", and clearly "THAT'S A LIE"
