Susan, the moderator of the Lulu This Just In (TJI) Facebook group recently ran the Disneyworld Goofy's Challenge, a half marathon followed by a full marathon the next day. She was kind enough to share the outfits she brought with her for the race. This is her post-full marathon outfit. It's a great mixture of old and new lulu. I believe the jacket is a Shape Jacket in a black and white leaf pattern from about four or five years ago (pre-blog for me). The pants are Studio Pants (I think). The tank is a Special Edition Cool Racerback that has a tiny strip of mesh down the back. It came out a few months ago. The bra is a black arise bra.
I'm pretty sure this is the outfit she wore for the full marathon: Paris Pink Energy bra and Wunder Unders, Zipper Special Edition Cool Racerback (Gel Nimbus shoes).
This was one of the outfits she considered for the full marathon: White Coal Tinted Canvas Cool Racerback, Energy bra, and Run: Your Heart Out crops.
This was Susan's half marathon outfit: Multi Dotty Wunder Under pants, black Inner Awareness Tank, Run: Essential Jacket, lulu arm warmers (Gel Nimbus shoes).

can anyone comment on how the arise bra fits? I really like the back of it and it looks like it doesn't give as much of a uniboob as other bras.
Thanks!!
So fun to see these outfits! Thanks for posting.
Once again there seems to be a massive upload in loot but there are NO SIZES IN ANYTHING. I don't understand why this always happens!!
Yes!!! Wtf lulu?!?! Got so excited to see new stuff and then nothing. Figure it out lulu...
Why do people run marathons in Wunder Unders when they can run in luxtreme? I don't understand...
I love the Gel Nimbus shoes..just bought my fourth pair...
If that's what she wore for the full I was behind her at the end!
I am also curious about the arise bra. Would it fit well under the Deep Breath Tank?
Love all the outfits! I think I need to start taking floor outfit pictures...even if only for my own interest!
I adore her outfit for the full marathon. She must have looked so festive in all of that paris pink!
Is anyone else nervous about the warehouse sale in chi? I've never been impressed with what lulu calls a "sale" and am starting to rethink going....
some people honestly have too much time on their hands.... lol
I love the bright colours and patterned Wunders!!
Anon 9:55am - Why do you bother reading blogs if you're so busy with your important life... I can think of a lot worse things for people to be doing with their time than discussing running, fitness and running gear. Have you ever heard the saying 'if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all'?!
runitmyway, omGOD, i did not mean it that way, i apologize. sheesh. i regularly read and comment on this blog and don't at ALL have some important life to get to. i meant it jokingly, myself included. geez.
Ah - well I apologize for jumping the gun on that one, I totally took your comment the wrong way!! No hard feelings :)
LOVE the multi dotty print!! How fun! Wish they would bring that one back :-)
These outfits on the floor are such a fun idea- love to see the old stuff in rotation too!
I can answer the Arise bra question. I have kind of a surfer's chest, more pecs than breasts and a very wide back & shoulders. I'm a 36A and I took a 6 in the Arise bra. No uniboob! Very comfortable. And the back is amazing, hides nicely under most racerbacks and looks super cute under camisole type tanks. I actually wear two bras because the pads look ridic on me, and I'm "headlights ON" without the pads. So I wear one bra with the pads, then another bra on top to kind of squish them a bit. Plus it feels more supportive because the fabric is somewhat thin. I don't mind buying 2 bras because I usually get black and a color or print and then can change them up.
The neckline is very flattering, it might be low for some people though. But since I've got good cleavage but not big boobies it makes me look a little more feminine than say the Flow Y bra, which has too much fabric on my frame and does kind of give me uniboob.
If you like the Free to Be bra you will like the Arise bra. If you prefer the Energy bra over the Free to Be, you probably won't like the Arise bra. I'd say Free and Arise are better for smaller chests and the Energy is better for larger.
Hope that helps. I am really happy this bra is coming back, I'll be all over the camo and would love to see it in Lime or Flush.
runitmyway, no problem! :) i can see where my post sounded horrible lol. i guess i should have said, myself included hahah :)
@ anon 5:52 am - I'll have to ask Susan why she likes Wunder Unders over luxtreme. I suspect it's mainly because they come in fun patterns and prints. Do you think the luxtreme is really that great? I think it's great for wicking/ breathability but I've tried on more compressive bottoms from other manufacturers. My sister has switched from luxtreme to wearing CW-X for her marathons.
I never thought to run in wunder unders before. Mostly because I have some of the thicker reversible ones and they always fall down. I was looking at the dotty print ones in my closet and was frustrated that I wanted patterned or colorful bottoms to run in. Not just black with this band and coal with that band. So I stuck them on for a short run... voila I fell in love. The Paris Pink wunder under lasted for an entire marathon - they didn't fall down and they were comfortable. I was even able to stick my hands down my pants and slather on the biofreeze every few miles with little to no "mooning". And, the added bonus that since no one seems to run in wunder unders - I had an outfit that no one else runs in. I do consider CW-X for marathons - but gosh darn, the dotty's are going to have to be my uniform now for marathons. That and my black inner awareness top which I plan to embroider every major race on the back in colorful thread to match the pants. :)
