Today's Shopping Trip + Pigment/Wish Blue & Pink Mist/Pig Pink Comparisons

Comparison: Wish Headband to Pigment Blue Cross My Heart Bra
Today I went to my local store hoping to try on the new tanks since the store I went to yesterday was a zoo. It was much quieter today. I brought along a Wish Blue headband to compare to Pigment Blue. The above photo shows a Wish headband laying on top of a Pigment Blue Cross My Heart Bra. As you can see, the colors are nearly identical.

Pink Mist bra on left, Pig Pink tank of right
I also brought along my Pink Mist Energy bra to compare to Pig Pink. The Energy bra is on the left. I think the bra is a bit lighter than my Pink Mist tanks but not by much. You can see the Pig Pink is a darker pink.

I tried on both the Pig Pink striped and Silver Spoon striped No Limit tanks and ended up getting the Silver Spoon version. Both are very pretty but I liked how the Silver Spoon version had two different sized stripes in the tank - the fat stripes on the bra with the smaller striped pattern edging tank in the front and on the straps. I also have a perference for grays and blacks, as you know.

I gave the Back on Track tank another try with a Ta Ta Tamer underneath since I read some other people are wearing it that way for more support. I tried but couldn't fully hide the TTT. I also figured if I was going to get a loose fitting tank it might as well be the No Limit, a tank that I already am comfortable with. The bra portion of the Back on Track is just too small for my chest.

I gave the new Deep Breath tanks a try on. The fit seems identical to the previous color runs. It's super soft in all the new colors but it's still too revealing for my chest. The fabric is very stretchy and not supportive enough for me to wear without another bra underneath.
I also tried the Heathered Pig Cool Racerkback. It's a super soft CRB but I am just not a pastel pink person when it comes to my workout clothes.

The fat stripes on the bra and narrow stripes on the straps/edging of the silver spoon NLT are very fetching visually. I am waiting for this stripe combo to come out in the Power Y, just like the picture in the "pants" section on lulu website. Whoo hoo!!

I wear my Deep breath with a Flow Y under & it's perfect.

I've been thinking this for a bit, but Lululemon is kind of the OPI of the work-out wear world...frequently releasing colors that are slightly different (if not the same) under different names...upping the price as time goes on. It's discouraging that the "new" colors that they release are only available for such short periods of time, and that they're constantly retiring and bringing back styles. I had thought from all your photos that the Active Strength tank was really ugly, but I found one for myself on clearance and I absolutely LOVE it! And of course it's no longer available and all these "boob" tops that Lulu currently don't work for me. :( What's a girl to do??

I agree luluaddict about the deep breath. I want to love it but I feel like I need just a little bit more coverage. I bought on in the last run. I returned it then one of the educators suggest I size down for more support. I did get more support but there was less fabric so I think there would have been more spillage. I returned it againa dn that was the end of story. It always looks so nice when I see it on tohere in yoga class. I thought this one looks like it had better coverage in the photos but I agree that the fit is the same. I bought the pgment blue on Saturday but the thoght of sticking it up a bit in the v so that I would have more coverage in down dog. I decided to try a white sport bra underneath and that actually looks nice with all of the white in the stripes. I think I could even run in the top now. I hate to sepnd $60 on a top and then have to add a bra too. In that case it should cost more like $42.

Looking forward to seeing the plum items! Any idea when there will be an upload this week?

bought the deep breath tank in pigment blue yesterday, but I'm not sure why the price increase? If I remember right, the deep breath tanks from last year were the standard $52 and now they're $58. This is especially makes no sense since the ones out right now are made of luon light, not the regular thicker luon that the old 52 dollar ones were made of...

I got a new black Deep Breath today. I'm 34/36C and I didn't feel too exposed in it. The cashier said she thought the new ones had more coverage.

Also finally splurged on a Ta Ta Tamer, in heathered persian purple stripes -- my favorite pattern so far. I'm kicking myself for not getting the last size 6 Define in that color pattern that I saw there last week. I was trying to behave. But behaving doesn't pay. Impulse pays.

I also got one of those part-cashmere scarf-shawls on clearance for $39. They had tons of them in light grey but only one left (mine) in dark gray.

I like the feel of the new pigment blue endless scarf. So soft. But not the endless part. Wish it were a shawl. Thought about snipping it, but it'd be too short.

I felt the new pigment hoodie, but it felt too stiff to me. Love the color, though.

Have you posted the cute little crops that go with the pigment blue striped Deep Breath? They're on the website & I saw in store today. Maybe you posted and I didn't notice because I don't wear crops. Battling self to resist the Astros that match that top. Soooo cute.

I believe this last run of DB tanks (royalty, dewberry, etc.) were $58 as well. Don't know if this was always the case, but I don't think $58 is a price increase.

I was happy to see my store finally marked down those $198 cuddle ups.

I'm tiny up top and the Deep Breathe overwhelms me. I'm putting one on Ebay today I think. So far the only LL top I can wear is the CRB. The power Y comes up too high and almost covers my collarbones. All tops with pads look ridic, like I put socks in my bra. Hey, at least there is a top for everyone, right?

I paid $52 for my royalty Deep Breathe this fall.

P.S. Based on the recommendations of this blog I purchased the Wunder Unders with the Groove waistband last week. LOVE! I've previously been a Wunder Under girl but this is my new crop. I can even wear it for running and it doesn't fall down. And I have a little extra in the waist from the holidays and it totally covers it! Thanks for much! I would love it if they came out with colored Groove waistbands.

@ anon 1:12 PM

The DB that in the WMTM (dewberry, royalty etc.) is the Luxtreme version. Those were $58. The Luon Light version this spring/summer were $52. This current ones are Luon Light and are priced at $58, hence a price increase of $6 each! Arrghh!!!!

Why do the pigment blue and wish blue look purple to me? I feel rather color blind right now..

Does anyone have a comparison of Pigment vs. Rocksteady? Just curious...

J in TO~I have the Deep Breath in Heathered Pigment Blue/Pigment and the Spin Me in Heathered Rocksteady/Rocksteady. Pigment is a deeper, darker blue than Rocksteady. I prefer Pigment and IMO, Pigment is well suited for a wider range of skin tones. :)

@ anon 11:52 am - the problem I have with the deep breath is not that the V neck is that open or that deep but the weight of my breasts kind of pulls it lower since the material is luon light it stretches really easily. If this top were made of regular luon it would work better for me. I bought the luxtreme version of the Deep Breath when those were out and that worked better for me since the luxtreme didn't stretch as much.

@ Debbie- so glad you like the Wunder Under Grooves. I decided to give them a try because so many people recommended them. They are my favorites.
