Upload!

New items on the website!

Small upload tonight. Only a couple of things are tempting me:

The Stay on Course Pullover in the Silver Spoon stripe. I really want to try this on first.

The Apres Run Anorak. I know this is at my local store.

The Flash Energy bra was uploaded tonight but no Wild Lime Energy. That is the I would really like.

Did you all order anything? I am off to the stores tomorrow to see the new Camo print tops.

Is the anorak in southern California stores? I thought you said you are from Orange County? I may take a look at this beautiful anorak if they are.

I just bought the anorak to feed my addiction and guiltily called the boyfriend who exclaimed I have a serious problem. What is the current cure to this Lululemon addiction?! And am I the only one that thinks Lululemon as a company is selling themselves short with minimal product output? Demand shouldn't overcome production. If people are complaining of several items always being sold out, that's profit waiting to happen. Instead people on eBay are making that profit.

its part of their strategy, they wouldnt have people monitoring them this way if they didnt do that...it feeds the obsession and addiction by making us think we NEED these products NOW!

I ordered the silver spoon and white stripe back on track hooded pullover. I hope it does not end up dingy looking over time. What do you all think?

Am I the only one that thinks all the colors and new designs lately are super lame???

I don't think they're all super lame, but I really dislike all the stripes...so preppy. Much prefer edgier patterns like snowy owl and black roses. I want to dress like an adult, not a student.

I'd love feedback from someone on how warm they think the Apres Run Anorak would be. I won't make it to my lulu stores until Thursday, if then. I hope they have the camo in by that time.

Dud of an upload

Not much of an upload...probably good for my wallet this week. Unless I decide to go to the store to find the camo. Though, it is -40C in Edmonton here today so I don't think I will be going to far. This weather is the reason I own Scuba hoodies.

I have been waiting for the wunder grooves to be uploaded- they finally made it and no size 2! I hate when my size is unavailable when things are just uploaded.

I ordered the anorak today. It looks really cute. Lately, everyone is wearing lulu. I know this sounds silly, but I find it disappointing to be wearing the same thing as everyone else. If the prices were a lot lower, I would expect that. I hope lulu can put out more styles of tanks especially, because I don't like seeing others (on the same day!) with the exact same outfit as me. I still love lulu, but I really treasure those older colors/designs that I never see on anyone else.

@anon 12:48... They've actually made quite an improvement on their product availability, it was actually much worse before. Items selling out within minutes of being uploaded, now at least they last a bit longer now. I don't live near a store either, so it can be quite frustrating.

I'm actually getting peeved that my past two orders have ended up having the delivery date pushed back while in transit. I'm glad for free shipping and all (though that should apply on returns too like other online retailers), but sometimes I feel like I could walk to the warehouse faster!

On another topic, has anyone else noticed the complete parallel to the Champion products in Target compared to Lulu? They have what looks identical to my rocksteady crb (cut & color, not material), they also have crops that look exactly like the Dance Studio crops. I've been seeing this a lot from Champion lately.

Kate, you are not alone with FedEx! Every single one of my orders have been pushed back from the estimated date of delivery by 1-5 days. So disappointing!!!! Why do they do this? Isn't the post-holiday shipping faster than during the holiday season? Strange.

@5:51 I haven't been liking any of the new stuff. I walked by American Eagle the other day and came to understand Lulu's current color scheme. I am saving my dollars for when the older colors end up in WMTM.

I bought the newly uploaded WU Groove crop. Do not buy these! I have worn them once and washed them and the waist band has lost its shape. I think the fabric at the waist is too delicate for these crops.

Now I have to go the store and see if they can replace or exchange.

Anon 8:15 - what colour waistband is on your wonder grooves?

Anonymous said...

The WU groove is the dark grey with white and light grey patchwork underneath it. These were uploaded this morning in the "what's new" section.

I don't care for all of the preppy stripes lately, either. I like more edgy prints like snowy owl, camo, etc. I think the preppy stripes look great on other people but it is just not my style. At least my wallet is safe for awhile. Now if only they'd upload that wild lime free to be bra! I don't like a lot of wild lime on me because of my coloring, but I'd love a pop of color under a dark crb. thank you for the tip on your defective wunder grooves, anon!

Just bought the Anorak coat in camo color - I was not in need of a new coat but I like others needed to feed the lulu addiction. I am between a size 8 and 10 in tops but this jacket fits very large. I bought the 8 but if I had a smaller chest I may have bought the 6. The material is super stretchy and moves with you- and I LOVE the way it looks from the back. Lots of educators in my local store modeling and buying - so that is always a sign:)

Keep up the great blog luluaddict - your posts keep me from missing anything:)

@anon 8:15, I got the WU groove crops with the pig pink waistband, and mine seem to be fine...? Actually, I had been thinking about dropping to a 6 from my usual 8, since I'm slimming down, but I'm glad I didn't. When I held them up to my groove pants and my groove crops also in an 8, the waistband was actually smaller by almost an inch! It's possible my groove crops have stretched (though they're not even a year old), but my pants are not even two months old so those should definitely not be stretched out. Quite a substantial difference....

I just ordered those gray quilted waistband Wunder Under Grooves. I hope that stretching doesn't happen! Been waiting for a cute waist. I have a 3 pair now in size 6, they all fit just slighly different. A couple weeks ago I snagged a heathered gray off WMTM... score! and it is my best fit yet... definitely a little bit tighter than the black, but in a good compression way, not in a oof*I got muffin top now way. We'll see what happens with this new pair.

This is my preferred crop for running/lifting... stays up so much better for me than the regular WU's. I don't even think about pulling my pants up even once. Would love to have a long pant with the Groove waistband.

@12:48, I wouldn't be surprised if many of those eBay sellers who jack up prices on quickly sold out items weren't Lulu in disguise. It's the cynic in me.

@5:55 -- Yes! Snowy owl and black roses! I came onboard well after black roses had come & gone.

@7:10 a.m. -- I like not seeing my outfit on other people, too. Fortunately, there is a Lulu store where I live but not much of a Lulu culture that I can see. Mostly I think it's in the expensive health clubs, not out in the streets.

@7:48 -- hmmm....I will have to go check out the Champion stuff. I did see some similarities in Old Navy stuff, and that brand that Marshall's has. But I haven't checked out Champion.

I got a blue thong off WMTM this morning. I tried to get 3, and it said no. Then 2, no. Then one - yes! So I paid my $9 as quickly as possible. Then they posted other colors, all out of stock immediately. Crazy. Then I got an email telling me they had to cancel my order. Then I got another email telling me they found more undies in the warehouse. Glad I got just 1, though, because reviews are mixed. We'll see. I really like Barely There thongs. Sounds like Lulu thongs aren't the best, and no way to try on before gambling + no returns.

Anorak looks like something ratty from a thrift store to me. Not that I don't love me some ratty thrift on occasion. But not this.
