Video on the Specialized-Lululemon Cycling Team

Lulu just released a video interviewing members of the Specialized-Lululemon women's cycling team. It has some great shots of the team uniform, which was designed by lululemon. It also has a team training shirt, which is a dark classic sport gray swiftly with a team logo on it. I wouldn't mind one of those. I wonder when the bike uniform will hit the website and/or local stores. Oh yeah, all the people in the video are wearing lululemon in their interviews. I believe they show the Carlsbad store in the video.

The team Swiftly

Love this so much better than the dull bike jerseys released to the masses the past couple of years.

I love watching tennis - it would be great if a pro tennis player started to wear lulu, as they would have so many combinations and the skirts are so darn cute!

WOW! Love this gear - I do hope it is made available for sale. Keep us posted and keep up the great blog in 2012 - I've really enjoyed it for a number of years now..... So, when is LL coming to London, UK?

I like it too, but I would be very surprised if their exact gear goes up for sale. Besides that, I think it's more special for an elite team like that if it doesn't. Guess my point is that not everything should be available to the masses.

I agree with you screenshop. However, I would love more options at lulu specifically for cycling. I'm not big on the yoga but bike daily. Most of lulu's items cross over well, but it'd be nice to have more that are specially for us bikers out there!

Ditto on the need for more cycling-specific gear! I'm big on both yoga and cycling. A lot of their styles do cross over well, so they are already meeting the needs of both spin class participants and bike commuters.

The niche they don't cover at all is road cycling. I need "real" cycling bottoms (for the chamois - the "light up" short and skort were NOT sufficient for road use). I like lulu tops because their fabrics are soooo much better than jerseys made by the bike companies and even small changes like an extra pocket and a few extra inches of length in the back of tops & jackets wouldn't really interfere with a garments original design and would make a huge difference for cycling.

I have always wondered if the issue with cycle-specific lulu line is that there just isn't enough customer demand to justify a product release schedule where new styles are launched every 30-60 days like they do with the run/yoga lines. They'd have to have a much longer release schedule...and I just don't know if that fits with their sales goals...

Those are nice jerseys. I like the cut and fit of the lulu cycling jersey from last summer, but I'm afraid to wear it too much because it's white and I don't think it will stay nice very long. I would like them to come out with some brighter colors, like the pinks and that electric blue that are in the stores right now. And I'd definitely go for some good cycling shorts from Lulu.

As an avid cyclist I agree with the above posted that a REAL cycling bottom is needed! I can wear the other stuff...swifty is a great base layer. As far as this exact outfit being available for purchase it is VERY common in cycling for the teams to release their gear for sale to the masses. Check out any riding event and see how many "pro" team jerseys are being worn my the weekend warriors. It's kinda like the NFL releasing jerseys for sale to the fans. On an international scale I MAY just step out there and call cycling fans more wild and passionate that the NFL fans!

When lulu helped sponsor the men's Saxo bank team, they offered that jersey for sale. See this post: http://luluaddict.blogspot.com/2010/07/lululemon-cycling-golf-and-men.html

I'm sure they'll offer the women's uniform for sale, too.

That would be great if they would release the women's kit for sale. I've already socked away some $$ for whatever cycle-specific gear they release this spring!
