Outfitof the Day for Spin

I haven't been to the gym or running for over week because of my chest cold but am finally getting back. My OOTD (outfit of the day) for spin today is a Sprinkler Blue Scoop Neck tank, new black wee stripe Wunder Unders and a matching Sprinkler headband. I hope this spin session puts my cold to rest once and for all. I am doing a Pure Barre class tomorrow with some friends. I need to figure out what to wear for that.

Hope you start to feeling better LLA. I love Pure Barre here in AZ.

OT: And I hope I don't hijack your post but I'm frustrated with my local store today. Why do the educators pretend like they have no idea what's arriving in their store when I know darn well they know otherwise. I was only calling about the most highly anticipated lulu top of the summer and you know they know when it's coming in! The educator told me that they have no idea until they open the box. Come on, we all know that's not true, they've got a book and a list that tells them exactly what's coming and I've seen it! It's just frustrating when you spend plenty of money at the store to be told inaccurate info. I'm only asking when it's arriving not for the top to be held for heavens sake!

Okay that's my rant! I just have to tell it to others who understand as my boyfriend just looks at me with this blank stare and tells me not to shop there..not happening sweetie! ;-)

very cute OOTD. A similar outfit would be perfect for Pure Barre.

I want those WU!!!! I'm very jealous! Great color top.

Btw.....what is the very highly anticipated top of the summer? I'm kinda new to lulu. Been an addict since oct. So, thanks for the help.

For Pure Barre, I would recommend a longer pair of bottoms like wunder unders or groove pants and a power y!

Your Ebb & Flow crops would also be good for Pure Barre. Enjoy your class!

Lots of people in my pure barre classes wear scoop neck and wunder under pants or crops- no shorts as you will be lifting your legs a lot while facing other people and mirrors in class! (And grippy socks are typically required.)

My pure barre instructor, along with most of the people in our class, usually wears long black tights and a fitted top. It is recommended that you wear longer pants (and leg warmers) to keep your leg muscles warm during the workout.

Hi sorry also OT, but does anyone know if the pigment blue and flash run swiftly racerback's have bleeding issues? I mistakenly thought that by soaking my PP energy bra and prewashing twice in warm I wouldn't have any bleeding issues...boy was I wrong! I wore it to hot yoga and both me and my top and my towel were pink! Just looking for info on the swiftly material as the tanks are my first purchase in that fabric.

I'm doing my first-ever Pure Barre class on Wednesday, so I'm delighted to hear/read some advice on what to wear. I'm leaning toward buying a pair of tighter-fitting crops--maybe Wunder Unders? something else?--but I don't think I'll have time to get them before the first class. Guess I'll go with the Groove pants that I already own.

@Jennifer, I do The Bar Method, and I'm assuming the clothing needs are similiar. Grooves are fine. I know for Bar, you want things below knee, as you get on your knees at points in the class and want them covered. A tighter leg in the pant is nice for bar classes as you can see you leg better, but not necessary. I wear grooves and wunder unders mainly.

Does anyone else find their scoop neck tanks pull on their neck during higher impact workouts?

LuluAddict-- How do you like those wee stripe WUs? How do they compare to regular WU crops? Same except for pattern? Also, how do you like WUs for spinning. I've noticed you mentioned that spinning wears out your luxtreme crops, right?

Thanks, MonkeyGirl! Actually, as it turns out, the class I'll be taking is Bar Method, too (I just doublechecked with the friend who talked me into it). I will go with the Groove pants and a tank top of some sort and see how it goes!

Im an educator and yes you are correct. We get a monthly line plan that tells us what is coming so we can 'plan' for it - but not all stores get all items etc. I wish we were able to say if things were coming or not but we can get written up and/or fired for it. I know it helps budget for items and work with your monthly lulu budget (I do the same thing). If you're frustrated I'd contact the GEC etc. There is nothing we can do except say 'we dont know what is coming until it arrives' - at the end of the day we make just over minimum wage and NEED our jobs just like the rest of the world.

Thank you Anon 7:51. I understand everyone's frustrations, but you have so nicely explained it from your point of view and I for one appreciate it and steps we all take in an effort to keep our jobs. Thank you.

Also - technically we have to sign gag forms as part of our employment that we won't post on Lululemon Facebook pages with our own stuff/opinions, as well as blogs about lulu (luluaddict is specifically referenced - you're famous LLA!!) I guess the chumps at head office are scared of their scare scarcity model info getting out

@ anon 9:19 am - How funny the blog is specifically referenced. FWIW, educators never tell me what is coming.

@ anon 10:05 am - Are you talking about the Flow N Go tank? Once something hits the US, it's usually in all the US stores at the same time unless it's a specifically "cold" item (SoCal doesn't get a lot of the colder climate items. Not sure if it works in reverse for the warm stuff.) Also, strategic partner stores and showrooms seem to get things earlier than the regular stores. Sometimes strategic partner stores get them a couple of weeks earlier than stores.

Thanks for the Pure Barre/Bar Method info. I took a Bar class a few years ago and remember wearing crops and a Tri Y but that was in the summer. I think I will wear Groove Pants and maybe a Power Dance or Power Technique tank. I might change my mind and wear another Scoop Neck. I haven't been giving my Scoop Necks much love lately.
