NEW! Run: For All Skirt

Spotted in US stores - a new run skirt, the Run: For All Skirt.  (Thanks to Ms. W for the photo).

Thanks to Amy for this photo.

I like the Wee Are From Space Multi version but the Dazzling one reminds me of something Nike would make. What do you guys think? It's supposed to be longer but early try on reports say you can see the undershorts through the slit in the side. The skirt also comes in solid black and solid lavender (I think).

Looks like will be cute for tennis!

I love it. I need exactly something like this. All their recent skirts are WAY too cupcake looking and heavy with ruffles to run in. THIS I could run in.

Her faces are hilarious, but cute skirt.

I've been waiting for some new skirts to come out but this does not do it for me for running OR tennis! :-(

Liking the print, but is it just me or does it look a little stiff on her?

I bought this tonight (south coast has them) and went with the multi we are from space print. It's so cute and exactly what I was looking for - its longer in the back than the front so it covers the bum! Definitely size up - this is not 4 way swift despite what it says on the tag. I am a pretty solid 4 in bottoms and rarely size up to a 6, but I could barely get the size 4 past my hips! The pockets are my fav. This will get a lot of wear casually to my kids baseball games this spring.

I'm sorry to hear you had to size up. It seems to me that Lulu shorts and skirts *always* run smaller than their pants -- it drives me crazy! I was really hoping to get the multicolored shorts but they didn't work on me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this skirt will.

Michelle Q, what tops do you plan to wear with the skirt?

I like the orange skirt!

I agree with you Luluaddict, the fossil/dazzling looks like a Nike creation. This may be the 1st Lulu skirt that I may not be obsessed with getting. There isn't anything "special" about it. I love the more feminine skirts. If I don't want to look as girly, I will wear shorts. I think the trim on pockets may be unflattering on the hips, and while the idea of the back being longer is great, I don't love the hem. And while I understand that they did black shorts instead of a lighter color that could be sheer, the look of the black short hanging out is a little distracting. Maybe I will change my mind if I get to try it on, but right now, it isn't love.

I feel like this looks like an apron you'd see on a waitress, the way it looks from the front.

To Anon 1:56 LOL!

I agree with Tifferoo, that there are plenty of shorts for those who like less "girly" runing outfits. And yes, the back of this skirt does not look flatering on the pics, as cute and fun as the model is.

I got 'apron' vibe too, the first time I saw it. It kind of looks like 2 aprons sewn together to make 1 skirt!

I don't think it looks like Nike stuff. I think it is fashionably in with color blocking effect for the upcoming seasons. I love it. My stores don't have these yet. I have to be careful though I still have those frilly skirts from last year with tags on them. I do like this style better. I hope it looks as good in real life. Can't wait. The multi is cute too. Very Lulu specific print. Those who have tried them on, keep us posted.

Purchased the wee print skirt today and have to agree with Michelle Q: definitely needed to size up from my normal 6 in WU and other skirts to an 8. The waist wasn't the problem; they made the hips tighter, I'm guessing, so it stays up while running. Matches really well with magenta-colored tops and black shoes.

@anon@8:42 - I came home and tried the skirt with my dazzling swiftly, and I have to say, I was not in love with the combo. But I did try it with all my potion purple tops and it looks GREAT with them. Also tried with my heathered black energy SL and my black crbs - also great combos.

I bought this skirt for my thru-hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. I wore it nearly every day for 6 months. When you're hiking between 25 and 40 miles EVERY day you'd expect normal wear and tear. This was the ONLY piece of gear that held up without so much as a splitting seam. INCREDIBLE! I'm definitely in need of another after hiking 2,668 miles in it. Planning on hiking the CDT soon and I want the purple one this tiime. Help a girl out? haha Truly INCREDIBLE craftsmanship!
