A great comparison photo shot of the grays in Studio Pants. From left to right: Black, Deep Coal, Coal, and Blurred Gray. (Thanks to Ms. L. for the photo.)

i think the coloring in this pic is very off. i own 3 of the 4 and none look like this. The Black in this picture is what the Regular Coal looks like, in my opinion. And blurred grey in real life has a blueish sort of slate look to it, this pic makes it look like light heathered grey. And I've never even heard of the "deep coal" color - is that new? or old.

I agree. The black pair doesn't look black. Could be the way the pic was taken too. Is it maybe....deep coal, coal, blurred grey, and unknown color to me?

@ Anon 5:20am: the deep coal is new. I think it is on line on the Canadian side. Not sure if it is in stores yet (don't live near a store).

i looked and you're right, there is indeed a deep coal in canada. now my question is: in these pants, do we really need a coal and a DEEP coal? sigh. how about a FOX.

I agree, this picture must have been over-flashed or something, because they are all showing much much lighter than IRL. I live in Canada, and I checked out the deep coal SPs -- for me the colour was too close to the black (which I own, along with coal) to be worth buying. I agree Anon 7:48, we need Fox SPs!

I took this photo with a flash in a dark room on my D90 and yes all colours are showing lighter than they should (but mostly the blurred grey). The deep coal is very similar to the black until you actually wear them. I quite love them! I thought for sure I would return one of the coals but they are just different enough to keep (but barely). :)
