There is a wedge inserted into one side only for some reason (make the bottom more roomy I suppose) and the stripes weren't matched up. The store only had one in my size so I couldn't get another one with better alignment. It looks really bad from the front, too:
WTF, lulu? Unfortunately, the woman who took the last two photos just grabbed the tank and left the store without trying it on. She was not happy to discover how half-assed the tank looked when she got it home. Two other minor things kept me from buying this tank - one of the tanks I tried had a pull in the ribbed luxtreme shoulder straps. I know stuff happens but if there are pulls on items in the stores it's a warning to me that perhaps things are not as robust as they should be. Another issue was that the swift material that makes up the torso portion seems to get wrinkly. The Ultraviolet tank had a visible crease where it had been folded. The others versions didn't display wrinkles as easily since they were much lighter. I don't want to have to worry about wrinkles in my gym clothes. Overall, I kind of liked it but I am really holding out for some cute singlets made of silverescent.
I also tried on the Open Your Heart tank to check it out. It's a low support tank so not really useful to me. I like that it seemed to offer good coverge for bustier women and came up fairly high in the armpits. It's on the longer side.

The black strap is the new TTT in 36DD and the other two are 38D in Lavender Gray and Rocksteady, so not exactly ancient TTTs. I checked the other side and the straps are much closer in length but the Rocksteady is the shortest of all three. Oops, just checked the stretchiness of the elastic and the black elastic in my new TTT is a lot stretchier than my other two. I just ran around the house in it and the support is the same. Hmm. Anywho, if anyone has bought a newer TTT and can compare it to an older one in the same size I'd be interested to know if the strap length has changed/how the elastic compares. It could be just a manufacturing difference.
I also bought another Swiftly headband in the gray. I wore my Ultraviolet one to run in today and liked it a lot. It slipped back on my hair initially but then I pulled it so was on my forehead a little and it stayed in place for the rest of the run. It's so comfy you don't know it's there but it seems it needs to grip skin to stay in place.

omg, wtf lulu is right. you've got to be kidding me. i hope that's the only one like that.
luluaddict: you've inspired me to check out the open your heart tank. it looks really cute on that woman.
@ Stephanie - I forgot to check out how it looked in the other sizes but so far I've dug up two other photos that highlight the problem so I'd say it's a good bet if you order one, yours will look like that, too.
When is lulu going to make more CMH bras?? It would look great in the wee are from space multi color!
I just bought a Chase Me tank in the white/indigo bold stripe, and it did not have that wedge.
The Open Your Heart Tank is getting pulled from stores due to the fit. My store was packing them up today to ship back!
They're pulling the OYH tank for fit? That's interesting. I wonder what aspect was the reason?
@Anon 12:02 - That makes me nervous, I ordered a OYHT from Tuesday's website upload, my package won't arrive until Monday or Tuesday though ):
I'm not really a fan of the wee space prints/colors. I LOVE the UV CRB tho. precious!
I've been lurking and reading this blog for a little bit now, but am still a newbie to all things lulu.
I wanted to chime in w/ my experience on the Wee Are From Space Multi Ta Ta Tamer. I wear a 32D, and I'm actually going to return this one (that I ordered online) because compared to my other two TTT, this one fits so oddly! The bottom fabric of each cup sort of wrinkles, and the band is looser, and the cups feel larger, too. I don't know if it's like you said, the fabric is simply stretchier, but it will not cut it at $60ish for me. I'll have to go in store and try them on until I find another one that works for me.
(I don't run, but I do hop on the elliptical sometimes. That and I wear my TTT as an everyday bra since my job is so physical.)
I tried on the OYH tank and wrote a review on the site about it. I imagine it's getting pulled because of the high armpit issue LLA mentioned. I am small busted so I figured it was just fitting me strangely, but perhaps its not just me. Otherwise I think the ruching on the front is very flattering!
Hiya, I just came to add to my first comment...
In regards to the Ta Ta Tamer, apparently, they have been redesigned! :( The older version (which I have two of) have matching colored fabric inside, as well as circular pads. The newer TTT (including the WAFS print) has an almost "cat-eye" shape inside, and a nude colored fabric regardless of the fabric outside. This new style does NOT fit on me. The girls at the Irvine Spectrum store agreed w/ me that there has definitely been a redesign and I noticed that even in the standard black TTT, they had the new design. None left in my size of the older design.
@ lululily - I did notice the color change on the interior but didn't study the shape. I need to check that out more carefully. If the cup shape changed a little that could be good. I always thought the cups were a bit too round - giving me a coconut shells strapped to my chest look. HEY - I just pulled out the cups - the shape is totally different and I don't think I can put it in my old ones. New post coming up. Thanks for telling me about this, Lily.
Okay so originally I was disgusted with the indigo stripe chase me tank with the 'mis-matched wedge' however I tried the tank on at the Palm Springs store (which is a huge store) while on vacation today and ended up loving it! I think the 'wedge' is sort of like a funky 'watermark' and gives the tank a fun twist. Maybe it's just my opinion by I didn't find it repulsive. I also found that it fit really nicely in the chest (I'm a 34DD). The only thing I'm not certain of is the luxtreme (I think) bottom portion. The SA said it was the first time they have used that material on a tank. Anyway, I really liked the RFYL tank and thought this was similar. I've been wanting a tank in indigo stripe and took this baby home today! Now let's just hope she doesn't bleed!
if you call the GEC about that tank...and take it into your store you should ABSOLUTELY BE ABLE to exchange it...they will take it back as defective
