Pace Setter Photos and More

Some more photos of the Dune Shimmer Pace Setter skirt. Shown with the Heathered Menthol Cool Racerback in the top photo and black Daily Tank in the other photos.

A good close up of the Porcelaine Wee Stripe Daily Tank.

The Porcelaine Wee Stripe Daily tank and white denim Wunder Unders. I really like this combo.

Has anyone seen Porcelaine headbands yet ?
Headbands seem to usually arrive in stores before the tanks. I got a menthol swifty headband almost a month ago and my store is just getting the menthol clothes.

I take back (part of) what I said about the sparkly skirts. I still think the sparkly part is unnecessary, but the dune Pacesetter is really cute...and it could actually be worn as regular casual summer clothes and not just for exercising.

Ok SO I am jumping off the flashback bandwagaon! I have 2 already! One a 10 and 8. I went to go try it on at the store.. and i could easy size down to 6! Probably even a 4! SERIOUSLY! Thats how it looked the best! So now I go home and realized I should have sized down on my others! Its still a comfy cozy fabric but there is just too much fabric. When will they come out with the PERFECT PULLOVER!?????

I just had to get that off my chest!

So I caved and bought the cruiser shorts in white. I cannot believe the price and am still sick over it but I had a favorite pr of white shorts yrs ago and haven't found a pair I've liked since.

Did you all notice that the Karma Pullovers are now down to $39, but as soon as you select a size, the price jumps up to $78!!!

Katie- I posted this in another post from yesterday, but wanted to see what you thought.
It was a response to lululilly, who had a question about the material.

Lululilly- I purchased the cruiser shorts at the store yesterday. I hesitated due to the 64.00 price tag, I also worried that the hem would roll up after washing, and also that the black would fade around the seams, stay tuned on those issues. Initially the cruisers felt smaller than speeds of the same size, but I think that is because the French Terry doesn't lay as closer to your body. When I laid the cruisers on top of my speeds they
appeared to be identical.
However, the waist band on the cruisers was about 1/4 of an inch wider ( from top to bottom). The biggest difference is that half round seam around the top of your butt, it is easily a 1/2 inch wide, it matches the rest of the edging on the short. On speeds that is actually around 1/4 inch throughout the short. I think this is why the cruiser looks a tiny bit different from the back. You can see the seam difference in the pictures. Hope this helps. And ya... Not sure why they have a 64.00 price tag...the lulu symbol on the shorts is cute though:).

Yogi babe....thanks so much for the heads up on the define. It's much appreciated! I was bummed I missed it on Tuesday.

Yeah, I noticed this morning that the Bike Bag was on WMTM, but when you click on it, the price jumps back up to the full price.

I just ordered the Blush Define. I'm not sure if I'll keep it now that I heard there is a Define in porcelaine on the way.

I called lulu this morning about the price issue with the Good Karma. She told me their IT dept was aware and working on it, but it's 12:54 EST and still not fixed. I placed the order over the phone and got the $39 price.

I love/hate your blog so much! I love seeing the cute outfits but then I curse you for showing them to everyone else so everything I want sells out haha and also making me spend money. :)

I tried the daily tank yesterday~ huge disappointment, straps are WAY too long and ill fitting...blech. I was really hoping for something like the CRB to balance out my CRB tan lines.

I did not like the fit of the cruiser shorts. They were really short in the back and without a liner like the regular speeds, some flashing could easily happen. They also fit baggy across the bum in my regular size(2). I think you have to size down or else you end up with a saggy look. Last thing that really turned me off was the "hand wash" suggestion on the tag. For cotton?? No thanks!

Anon-12:59-you hit the nail on the head...the butt on the cruisers is baggy! I couldn't identify what was wrong with these shorts. I think they made the butt a little roomier to try to provide additional coverage, because the fact is, that without a liner, your butt eats the shorts/it's easy for the shorts to slide right up your butt crack. Don't be fooled if it doesn't happen while you are at the store trying them on, spend some time in them, walk around and you'll see.

And the "hand wash in cold" instructions are ridiculous! I already do 2 or 3 additional loads a week just for my Lulu.

Has anyone seen the blush quartz sparkle pacesetter skirt in US stores? My store received the dune one, but not the blush quartz.

My store in Canada got like 3 rose quartz and a few dune -- that's it. Not a lot of stock!

This Porcelain Wee Stripe Daily tank is really cute in person--I saw them in my local store today. But I just can't wear the Daily tank...the straps fall off my shoulders. Wish it was the exact same pattern and trim in a CRB.

Can anyone comment on the fit of pacesetter skirts? I'm not sure what size to get... I'm a 4 in Studio Pants & Grooves but was thinking I should get a 6 in this so it doesn't sit too high or tight? Are they tts?

Anonymous said...

thanks for the tip yogibabe! I drove to a far away store yesterday to get one...now they are back online but out in my size already!! Wow

Anon 8:30, I tend to wear a 6 in most bottoms and the occasional 4 in things like Grooves, but I recently ordered a Pacesetter skirt in a 4 Tall and it fits great.

Hand wash heavy french terry. What a joke. Why don't I go back to a washing board like my grandma had? Screw hand washing.

@ Tifferoo - I haven't seen any photos of the pace setter in the sparkle blush quartz yet. I don't think the stores have received them yet.
