Porcelaine Studio Jacket and More

Photo of the new Porcelaine Dance Studio Jacket. Shown with Hold Me Close Crops and a flash tank. The other woman is wearing a Flashback Pullover and white denim Wunder Unders. I think I would like a Define in Porcelaine.

I really hope this print comes in a Cool Racerback or Every Yogi Tee. Fossil Beachy Floral Tank shown with Heathered Fossil Cruiser Shorts.

Would really love a Menthol Dance Studio Jacket...probably wishful thinking though. The Porcelaine is beautiful as well

I kinda like the see-through-ness of the Daily Tank in the Beachy White so you can see the Flash Daily bra. Does anyone else like that or is it tacky?

What is the fit of the Studio Jacket TTS or size up. I wear 4 or 6's for tops/jackets at lulu?

I normally wear a 4 and I size up for the Studio Jacket, as well as the define jacket.

@Anonymous 10:10 - I think the model either doesn't have a bum to fill it out, or perhaps should have sized down. I saw a pic yesterday (from a different store - I think it's on an earlier post of this blog) that the cruiser shorts look great - not as much fabric at all as in this pic. I do not like them from this picture, either.

Anon 9:29: I just got my first Studio Jacket a few weeks ago and love it (didn't think I would). It is TTS in my opinion. It is the same size I wear for Defines, CRBs, Swiftlys, tanks, bras, and Lively Tees. (The new Yogi tee is horrible on me.) It is very flattering and fitted (not quite as tight as most Defines though, but not loose like strides that I have to size down for).

I'm 5'8", 135lbs, 36B, (with broad shoulders from climbing) and wear an 8 in all the above listed tops including the studio jacket. Hope this helps!

Yeah those shorts look frumpy in this pic. Ughhhh I would so try them if they weren't $64 for cotton shorts! After tax I will be paying almost $70 for a cuter version of old navy shirts. Grrr. I sized up in both the dsj and the define too. :)

Menthol CRB and porcelaine DSJ already sold out online and already on Ebay. :(
I would like my first Define jacket in porcelaine, if they make it I hope to grab one before they are sold out!
I might have to settle for the xlong crb in porcelaine.
I don't know if I'll like the DSJ, never tried it.

I agree... a define jacket in Porcelaine would be awesome!

I'm so surprised the heathered menthol crb sold out so fast. It looks a lot like toothpaste from last year. I am hoping some solid menthol tanks are on the way soon!

Does anyone else think it might be educators who are buying up their own stores inventory (with their large %60 discount) and selling them on Ebay??? I mean how else do they get some of the items before they are even uploaded? Or they day they are put in stores...I guess it could be reg. people who go in and buy up all the CRBs etc.. but educators would profit the most, dontcha think?
Sorry...I just get so annoyed at not being able to buy an item while ebay is flooded with them in ALL SIZES for ridiculously high prices.

I wear a 6 in all lulu tops and jackets and I bought a DSJ in Concord, size 8, and it was too small! This mystifies me.

I agree with Anon 2:24 -- what happened to the blush/quartz defines? Can't believe those are gone...I waited and now they are all gone - does anyone know if they have hit So Cal Stores yet?

sorry but the educators in the stores are only allowed to by one of each item, and they are not allowed to buy multiple sizes. so no, they are not able to sell items online. they also have to have all the tags removed when purchasing an item with their discount so they are not able to resell them

Those shorts look too much like the grey shorts I was issue in basic training. pass.

I do wonder about the stock amounts being sent to stores though vs. what the educators buy for themselves. It's fairly common for me to go to my local store the day things are released and see the popular item pretty much sold out....BUT every educator in the store wearing that sold out item. It frustrates me a little, since they will have "first crack" at anything out of the boxes to purchase for themselves. It would be nice if they could pick what they want ahead of time, so it doesn't affect the store's stock as much.

This ebay seller absolutely wonders me: topcarbroker

She (or he?) seems to be relatively new to selling lulu on ebay, because she only offers the latest lulu releases all NWT (and only lululemon, at outrageous prices) And she carries the hot items in EVERY SIZE from 4 to 8, sometimes 10. No used or old lulu items here though.

Yesterday for instance, the Heathered Menthol CRB was already listed in all sizes on her ebay store, just minutes after it sold out online!!

I really have to wonder how one person can get all sizes so soon in so many hot items?! She's got over 220 NWT lulu (sold out) items right now!! WTF?! Really!

Lululemon you need to pay attention to these type of ebay sellers that make a living of reselling your products, promoting the scarcity of them online, which really sucks for those of us who can only purchase online.

@ Anon 3:39am: Easy...easy...I understand your angst. Let's look at it in a different way, though: Lululemon has already made their money on their product, regardless of who has purchased it. LLL knows they have a dedicated group of consumers that are willing to pay, let's admit it, redonkulous prices for what are, basically, workout clothes. Clothes that bleed, fray, pill, stretch out and perform in much the same way any other clothing line performs over time. LLL is the only fitness clothing line that actually requires its clothes to be washed in a certain way. For the amount of money each piece cost, they should be INDESTRUCTIBLE, IMHO.
But, I digress, market share and scarcity model notwithstanding, LLL is making it's money. A reseller, authorized or not, is dependent on their own abilities to resell the clothes and make back their initial investment. The reseller DOES NOT have the marketing capabilities, advertising foothold, nor commerce presence LLL has--they are merely hoping the LLL name will help sell the clothing. Utilizing LLL's pictures and marketing is actually against the law for copyright infringement, but that's up to LLL and their lawyers to decide to pursue. The eBay seller you cited (tsk, tsk, NARCing is not cool when you have honest folks trying to resell their own items that were the wrong size, wrong color, never worn, etc), does have a diverse and vast inventory. We all know some stores receive products well before others. The LLL store, again, is getting their money--making their profit margins and, in all honesty, probably one of the best performing stores because of the aforementioned eBay seller's purchases. Why should they care what happens to the product thereafter? The eBay seller is now taking a HUGE risk to make enough $$$ to cover her initial costs. Some buyers are willing to pay the price for a product they so desparately "need". Is that the eBay seller's fault? Nope, that's called being in the right place at the right time with the right product. That's called commercialism.
Like it or not, I don't see LLL shutting down any eBay resellers because the sellers are actually helping to further disemminate LLL's product and name--free advertising in LLL's eyes, me thinks. You don't like the price on eBay--don't pay it. Try to visit your store(s) frequently and if you can't get it the minute it becomes available...maybe it just wasn't meant to be.
We live in a terribly "instant gratification" based society as it is...there are really much bigger problems in the world. Not being able to get the latest colored tank top?...come on, take a step back and SEE what you do have: roof over your head, food in your belly, clothes on your back, and money to spend on overpriced workout clothes...much more than others have in this country. Don't get me wrong, I like LLL's products and am willing to pay the stupid-high prices, too, but sometimes we need to get some perspective...just my three-cents worth. Namaste.

@ anon 3:39 am - I hear you. There are many people frustrated by these types of power sellers. If lulu really wanted to shut them down, and I think they do since they get a lot of complaints about them, they'd buy something off ebay from them, get their info and then start cancelling their orders/banning them from their local store. What kills me about topcarbroker and a similar seller diosmios is that they are such lazy effing sellers they can't take their own photos of the products they sell. eBay rules state you are supposed to provide photos of the actual item in your listing. Lazy sellers just take the photos off the google and list it. I suspect it's because they actually don't have the item when they list it. They either buy it Monday night when it's uploaded or order after they get some nibbles on ebay.

As for the seller's risk, she has 14 days to return the items and I'm sure she does or she'll hang onto it and jack the price up even more six months down the road when they are gone from the stores. I know lulu power sellers make six figures and I do not feel bad for them at all.

@ anon 5:04 am - lulu operates on a scarcity model so when some jackal ebay power seller is snapping up the latest of something it's less for us regular folks to buy who only want one of an item. I really hope lulu shuts them down.

@LLA: Wow, who pissed in your cheerios? Clearly, a sore subject. F-bombs are not your style. And, for the record, plenty of other sellers on eBay for NON-Lululemon products use manufacturer's photos. But, if LLL is so sacred, then that is your opinion. I ask: Why reinvent the wheel? Anyways, sorry you didn't get your Menthol tank or headband, or whatever it is that clearly set you off...
