Yay! I want to see these in person. I just can't tell if they are stiffer like the blush quartz or soft like the solid black. Ridic, I know, but it makes a difference in comfort on long runs.

Where are the cute Turbos?

Nicole said...

Can anyone give me some advice on sizing for the Speed shorts and the Turbos? I've never tried Lululemon shorts but wear a 4 in Dance Studio pants, Grooves and most bras... but a 6 in WUC's and CRB's. Dunno which size to order for shorts?!?
Thanks heaps!

Speed shorts I would def go for the bigger size. I wear a 6 in WUC and luxtreme running crops and can wear a 6 in Speeds, but usually size up, especially if you want them to fit like in this picture.

OT - what are the best knee-length running crops from LLL? I need one to run in since the WUC and Polocrosse crops are just too long & hot for the weather here in the tropics.

The Run: A Marathon crops are fantastic, knee length, luxtreme with lots of mesh at the back for cooling. They are in stores on markdown right now...and they may pop up on the we made too much on the web, because I know they weren't sold out when they disappeared from the regular section.

Off the topic - I keep thinking about the new WUC. I wanted indigo so much but they're sheer...I did get coal but sized up to 8 to avoid sheerness and now trying them at home, they're pretty loose.

What confuses me though, is that I pulled out my super old black WUC's. They are amazing and I've had them for ages - but I kept the hang tag on them. I compared the hang tag to the new coal ones and the material is exactly the same - 87% nylon and 13% Lycra, and the old ones are made in China too - so why do the new ones look and feel totally different? How much can you lower the quality with the same fabric composition?

@Anon 11:09 PM - Thanks! That's what I've been reading on reviews and they did show up WMTM but now they're gone from the entire site. Sucks that I missed out on them but I just decided to get run crops now. :(

Are the shorts the metallic silver? I'm tempted to go check them out at the store.

New stuff on WMTM!

Some worth mentioning:
Flow and Go Tote
Run: In The Sun Skirt
Every Yogi Tank
Meditate Pullover
Run: Essential Jacket II

I just saw the Bruised Berry CRB and IT IS gorgeous. Better than the recent CRB's that came out in my opinion.

I saw these shorts last night at the pro shop at my gym. I also picked up the Bruised Berry Dot CRB.

There are 55 items on the Canadian WMTM page this morning.

They had the white speed shorts at the shop at my gym as well...Super cute in person, with sort of an irridescence to the silver part. Made of the "stiffer" material like several of my older pairs.

Anonymous said...

They are really awesome! 4 waistband pockets. :) FYI: most people are sizing up in this style.

@ Nicole. I wear a size 4 in ALL lulu bottoms (crops, pants - except Stills I'm a 2 - and WU's), including Speed Shorts. Everything fits me properly. You should probably read the reviews on LLL site to get a better idea.

@ Anon 11:04. Run A Marathon crop is great but it just cleared as you know. I would highly recommend the Run Fast and Free crop. I'm a hardcore runner and they are awesome, very comfortable. Love the pretty ruffle too - it' very subtle. I don't have the Run Excel crops but I do believe they are a fave with many.

wmtm - ugh that run essential ii jacket is there. I will not even buy this jacket on sale!! (and that's not a sale) the cuffs are terrible and restrictive!! Worst construction ever. Flow & Go tote - you call that a sale?

Anonymous said...

pardon typos. and run essential ii...sorry, is a good reduction/sale, but personally will NOT even buy at this price or any price, not even if it was $50, which is all it's worth.

Anonymous said...

I agree with other comments - caution with the Run Essential II jacket. The cuffs were very tight on the wrists. No possible way of pushing up sleeves for cooling. This one is a dud even if it were priced at $40. I just ordered my third Run Switch Back 1/2 Zip. Fits true to size, cozy soft and good venting In the pits. Also suitable for casual wear. Priced better know at $74.

Has the Rehearsal LS been released on the web in the last month or so and I missed it? I found one in our local store last week but wrong size for me. Not sure if the stostoned old stock or has received an early release.

OT

@anon 11:13:

I agree on the different quality/feel of the wunder unders. I have an embossed pair from last year that are heavenly, a black pair I recently bought that are also great....and then a deep coal pair I bought a couple months ago that are stiff, and tighter than the others -- even though all are the same size. I sort of hate wearing the deep coal pair, unfortunately. When I asked the educator if anything had changed, he assured me they would fit and feel exactly like my other pairs. Not so. I tried on the flash light and deep indigo WUC last night and thought the flash light ones were thin and somehow less flattering, but LOVED the deep indigo pair -- they felt exactly like my old favorite black ones. Confusing.

Also OT: I bought the flash light CRB, ray run bound bra, and menthol bliss back on markdown last night. I didn't love the fit of the bra, but it's supportive (36B) and love the color -- it will be fun popping out from underneath heathered menthol and flash light CRBs.

FINALLY, anyone check out the Presta Vest? I know it's meant for cycling, but thinking it could be a great running vest.

@Anon 6:16 - thanks! I'm debating between Excel and F&F. I don't have a retail store in my area so I'm totally dependent on reviews and the help from this blog. :-)

Is the F&F too low though? Excel is listed as medium rise but reviews say it's too low. And since F&F is listed as low rise already I'm afraid it might be really really low that I might need to size up.

This is a random question but why does Lululemon use the same 2/3 models for EVERYTHING? I get bored of seeing the same person! How does one get selected to be a Lululemon model and why is it the same 2 girls for years?

Tragic tale! I wore my BRAND NEW flash light stride to Nashville and packed it in my suitcase on my way home. TSA obviously fiddled with my nail polishes I had packed...because when I got home to unpack I had a huge green essie nail polish stain right on the middle of my jacket!!! I wanted to cry. Too expensive of a jacket to wear only once. I've been working on the stain and it's official: jacket is ruined.

OT: Where are people finding the BB CRB? I've seen people say "partner stores." What are those? Thanks!

I was debating getting a Power Dance tank over the last week, and I was able to get it on MD today. Yay!

The new Metallic Silver/White Speed Shorts would appear to be made of a slightly stiffer fabric. Some of the new Metallic Silver products actually have a more metallic sheen and others are just plain generic t-shirt grey. This is another item to check out in store rather than blindly purchase online IMO.

I got it from my yoga studio who also sells Lululemon. They just got new stuff today but was surprised to see them have something not even sold online yet.

The silver/white speed shorts were on the upload Monday night along with Ray speed shorts. Sold out by 8 am!

Anyone have an opinion on the cruiser shorts? Looks like comfy speed shorts but not sure about wear/sizing.

Gracias!

Anonymous said...

I got the cruiser shorts a couple weeks ago and they are super cute and comfy. I sized down from my speed short size because 1. i will be wearing these more casually and 2. the material is so thick that it gets a bit 'droopy' in the back if there is too much hanging loose. they are pretty short too, but i do love them!

Anonymous said...

Lauren, I could cry for you. That sucks!!!

Anonymous said...

Ugh, the meditate pullover IS on the Canadian side but at regular price, then when you click on it, no sizes are available in any of the colours.

Anonymous said...

@ Anon 8:03
I agree with you about the models! I'm getting pretty tired of constantly looking at the same girls too.

Anonymous said...

Lauren, I'm so sorry to hear that! You can file a claim with TSA I think - you just need to show pics and let them know whether the polish was removed from a bag by the TSA or whatever...... I once had my hair dryer and bag of products go missing. They had removed it for a search and forgot to put it back in. Took awhile and was kind of a pain, but they eventually gave me funds for a new dryer.

Anon 10:15. Thanks for the advice!!! I think I'll do that! :)

Anonymous said...

Does anyone have a fit report on the Run: Nothing to Hide crop? Lots of photos of it on the blog but no mention of anybody trying on or buying it.

Anonymous said...

oh no Lauren! That's terrible! Have you tried strong acetone yet? Not nail polish remover, but like a stronger industrial grade. It worked for me once (not on lulu clothing) but I'm not sure where my husband had gotten the stronger stuff from.

I've been zooming around in my brand new pow pink racing length crb! (well neon pink!) And let me say, seeing this online on the model I was at first freaked out at how short it was - then on a blog I had seen someone layer it and thought OOOH thats cute!!! So I got it with the intention of laying a yellow or something longer tank under. But I don't need the layer! I have a shorter torso, so this CRB doesn't show off my midriff at all. It hits right at the top of my hip and is super cute alone! The material is soft and stretchy - the pink is very flattering with my tan! -When I stretch side to side it isn't showing off my skin. - I'm happy as a clam! Shorter torso girls - this might be a win for you!! Longer torso girls be ready to show the tummy! I will let you know if I have washing bleed issues. take care all!!

@ Lauren - that sucks!!! Totally tragic.

Oh man, I have been eyeing the cruiser shorts for months!! I can't believe I scored them today for $34 on MD!! I'm so happy I waiting (for once)- I was very close to buying them at $64.

Anonymous said...

Try an art supply or hardware store for acetone. Good luck! What an awful thing to happen.

Anonymous said...

Did anyone else score a heathered flash vinyasa scarf this morning? Was so thrilled to see it pop up, as well as the heathered flash CRB. Order just shipped, so they were in stock!!!

Lauren said...

Ladies, thank you for the great tips! I tried mail polish remover to no avail. I will see if I can't find another kind of acetone. Good idea! Thanks loves!

Try Bestine. It's rubber cement thinner. Ask at an art store, and tell them what you're thinking of using it for.

Hi Anon 11:04/7:03 it's 6:16 again. I like the low rise on the F&F crop. I don't find the waistband too tight and I don't get a MT. Bit of compression in the legs but it feels good and they are comfortable, no issues at the back of the knee either with the shorter length. I have medium rise crops as well and like all those, I just don't go for high rise.

Even for the Run A Marathon crop, I think customer reviews remarked on too tight in the waist etc etc. This was not a problem for me at all in size 4, not too tight and no problem to put them on. I think sometimes people comment on tight waist when maybe it's really about getting them past your hips? That's of course a true issue if they won't come up over/past your hips with ease. All I can say is I'm a tts 4 and have never had to size up (and I personally wouldn't as I'd be worried about the crops/pants sliding down, sinking gusset. That's just me). I'm 5' 5", 125 lbs and my hip and waist measurements fall smack in the middle of sizes 4 & 6 on the LLL size chart. 4 always works for me in bottoms. I hope this info helps you since you can't try on items in advance and it sucks that LLL makes you pay to ship items back!

Re: someone's comment on Presta vest…have not tried any on cycle items but looked at the Presta Jersey in white tonight in store. It's lovely! I'm a runner and could see myself wearing this. BUT it's just a nice to have for me - I will be disciplined about not buying it. If it goes on sale (and still available in white - doubtful) it may make its way home. I also think the Presta Packable Shirket is beautiful in white and would love to have it as well, but I will wait. I absolutely do NOT need another jacket.

I even stopped myself from buying the Flow & Go tote when I totally could have this morning. That ink stain one is beautiful. I was trying to justify it as a laptop bag (since that's one of its functions), but I don't need another bag and it was not enough of a sale in my opinion. I was happy to get the Bliss Bag on sale (great reduction) last week in Dune - it's really beautiful and I know will hold up for years to come.

Lauren - that is terrible about what happened to your Flash Light Stride Jacket!! I hope you get a new one (on the TSA) or the polish comes out somehow without damage.
