Pow Pink Cool Racerback in Stores! NEW Sun Runner Hybrid Pullover!

Pow Pink Cool Racerback spotted in Canadian stores!! Sunday is Canada Day so not sure how that is going to affect the upload on Monday night. I am totally getting this tank. (Thanks to Ms. S for the photo. Sorry for the watermark and hack crop job but I'm trying to prevent lazy eBayers from re-using the photo.)

New Sun Runner Hybrid pullover. Made with UPF Sheer Jersey, Swift fabric and Mesh. It comes in Pow Pink Light and Black. The back is similar to the Yogi Dance Jacket. Not loving this at all. I remember the days when lulu made understated athletic clothes. Sigh.

That pullover reminds me of fish gills; definitely need that CRB!

gills!! gills we say!

I'm really loving the pow pink colour. I picked up a diversity tank and the diversity WUs yesterday and am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the ls My Mantra. My closest store only had the grey yesterday.

The light pink sold out pretty quickly, so if it's not on the upload, I want to grab one up as soon as possible (just like lulu wants me to do I'm sure).

The CRB is nice, but I prefer the XL CRBs. Probably no chance wishing for it to come out in that.

I agree with a pass on the jacket though. It's just too...yep, gills is a perfect description. I miss the pure balance jacket. I'd get one of those in pow pink in a second. A scuba would work too.

OT but I am looking at the Flow and Go Tote bag on WMTM. I have been searching for a great gym bag for a little while now, but I am afraid to pay over $100 on a bag I've not seen in person. Anyone have one or seen one and have any advice?

You guys all beat me to it, yes, gills galore! lol. :)

But I will be on a lookout for the pow pink CRB. Well Minda, should we go for the pow in CRB or wait for pow Power Y? (I'm willing to wait for the Power Y if it's available...)

I tried the diversity tank in Pow Pink (the first and last diversity tank I try on !). It's awful ! One can see the cups right thru it and it's so thin that you see ones navel. NO THANKS !

I would LOVE a POWER Y in POW PINK !

anon @ 1:45, I have a Flow and Go tote (in black) and use it for travel. I can't attest personally to its gym capabilities but it's a great carry on bag, so I'm assuming using it for the gym would prove equally useful.

The bag has several inside pockets in mesh and one in zip, and the outside cinch pockets are snug enough that items aren't falling out all over the place.

It has a yoga mat slot on the bottom, with zips at either end. I love the zips because on the bags with open yoga pockets, they're completely useless for any other purpose.

I've heard the slot is slightly too small to fit some of the larger lulu mats, but when travelling it's a nice, easily accessible place to store snacks.

The cross the shoulder strap is great too, nice and long but adjustable, and removeable if you prefer it not be there.

Sorry that's probably not exactly the review you were looking for, since I use the bag for a different purpose than its intended, but I hope it gives a little taste of what the bag is like in use.

Buy it I love my lulu gym bag..I use it on weekend trips to, holds lots!

anon @ 1:47, I didn't have the see through problem with the pow pink diversity, nor with the light pink, which one would think would have a greater problem with sheerness.

I do usually wear the tanks under another top though (a my mantra or a rehearsal), so that may make a difference. Maybe it's sheer and I just don't notice. I do size up in the diversity tank and I don't always need the cups. That may make a difference too.

So whats the big deal if someone uses a picture from here on ebay?!? When I'm cleaning out the Lulu closet I always take a pic of my actual item... but then use a shot from one of the blogs to show fit/function etc. I wouldn't really call that 'lazy' and dont see how its hurting anyone?

Minda said...

Yogibabe! I plan on scooping up as much pink as I possibly can! I love pink so much so if there is a power y I'm IN on it lol.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous 2:17, some people agree to allow Lulu Addict to post their picture on the blog but don't want their face or body showing up everywhere on ebay.

Anonymous said...

@ Minda...

I also LOVE PINK ! I hope there will be a Power Y... but since the is a Diversity Tank.... I don't know ? I'm keeping my fingers crossed ! :)

Anonymous said...

@ Anonymous 2:17, as Anon 2:49 has already pointed out, and presumably also to not assist those who basically run a business re-selling LLL gear on ebay at exorbitant amounts

Why is Lulu taking such a lovely color like POW PINK and messing things up with such a lame disgn like the Sun Runner Hybrid Pullover ???!!!?!

Anonymous said...

Has anybody ordered from sweatbetty.com? I'm trying to branch out and wanted to know if the quality was decent. Thanks!

Amy word on pow pink bleeding? I've been waiting for a bright pink swiftly!

Anonymous said...

Why oh why did they put the layers on the sides now?!?! Like I need more volume there.

Anonymous said...

I love your hack job! Excited for this tank and I will pick one up too. I bought the ss swiftly in pow pink and love it; hopefully a swiftly tank will come out too.

Victoria's secret had some great seamless racer backs and very supportive bras in their new VSX display at my local store.

I wore my pow pink short CRB today with a white skirt & white bra underneath. Now bleeding yet, but I didn't sweat a whole lot & haven't washed it yet.

Justine Nota said...

@anon 5:20pm did you get the swiftly now or is it the old one that came out before?

Anonymous said...

Speaking as a redhead I am just so tired of pink. Do they not realize that there is an entire spectrum of beautiful colors out there that they are completely ignoring?

Anonymous said...

Yes... where is the GREEN!!!

Kristin said...

I am also hoping for a power y in this lovely lovely shade of pink! Not heathered though!

Anon 6:09, my pilates studio carries lulu and this week they got in a shipment of pow pink short sleeve swiftlys. They are pretty.

Anonymous said...

YES ! Short sleeve swiftly will be mine ! :)

@ anon 2:17 pm - Ebay rules say you are supposed to post photos of the actual item for sale. Every now and then I use a photo of a non-lulu employee modeling lulu and those people don't like it when their photo shows up on ebay listings.

Yes- Sweaty Betty is huge in the UK. Lots of retail stores. Been very happy with quality and care/thought taken in the construction of their running gear. They also have dedicated swim and yoga range (can't speak for). Gorgeous colors. Styley. Strong competition for Lulu though my Lulu crops are still my favorites.

I have it in the ink blot pattern and I love it! I did finally fit my manduka black matPro inside the sleeve, but i really had to sweet talk it in and pack less in the bag portion. I get tons of compliments on it. It's a biggin and can get pretty heavy when loaded up with a gang of stuff, but that could be any bag.

OT - amazon is having a sale on
Manduka BlackMatPRO 71-Inch Yoga and Pilates Mat for $67.99. What are your guys thoughs on the mat - is it worth that much? is it a good sale? i practice several times a week at home (have been doing it for 10 years) and 1-2 times in the studio where i use Aurorae yoga mat. But at home i use 2 old/cheap mats put one on top of each other. Thanks for your advice!

Hi Lulu Addict, first off I love the blog -- quite helpful. :)

Secondly though, I think it's hysterical how much our tastes differ. When I think of Lulu, I think of a piece of functional clothing that I can beat to death but still has a "Wow!" factor to it. I like the ruffles on the Sun Runner! Seriously, add an "obnoxious"stripe, ruffle or pattern onto some spandex that I can wear into the ground and you have my interest. Plain black leggings or an understated hoodie, not so much. Nothing makes me want to get out there more than something loud, ha (says the New Yorker, whose actual every day wardrobe consists of mostly black, gray and navy).

That said, the Sun Runner is entirely nonfunctional until fall when it will be below 55 F. Who wears sleeves in the summer? But oh boy, is it cute!

- Jen

Anon 4:32, I have the Black MatPro and I LOVE it! I was appalled initially at the price, but after practicing on it for a year I can honestly say that I would never go back to another mat. One caveat I should mention, I was told that yogitoes were not necessary with the mat, which I have found to be untrue. Admittedly, I sweat like a whore in church, so if you sweat like a normal lady you should be fine. Also, its 8 lbs, so you will get a bicep workout schlepping it to and from class.

yogibabe said...

@Anon 4:32
Yes, Manduka Black Mat Pro is worth the price-even at full price! So, grab it! The Black Mat was my first mat, bought as a gift by my husband when I started to practise 10 years ago. The teacher and studio owner where I started my practise is the founder and CEO of Manduka. So, needless to say that all the studio mats were Manduka Black Mat and I've never looked back since then. :) Worth the money, plus as Killerboots mentioned above, "Also, its 8 lbs, so you will get a bicep workout schlepping it to and from class." Just make sure you switch sides carrying it, to even out the bicep workout! :)

I have the Manduka pro lite for the past 3 years and love it! Thanks for the heads up on the amazon sale. Just upgraded to the back mat pro! (just be aware that the black mat is freakin heavy- I have been useing my husband's for my home workouts). Oh and buy the mat cleaner stuff. I hated my pro lite because it wasn't 'sticky' and the cleaner took care of that.

AZ Lulu Fan said...

@anon 4:32
I used to wear out a yoga mat every year. I upgraded to a Manduka Prolite last year and it still looks brand new and doesn't smell. The cheaper mats would epithet disintegrate or start to smell (and I do clean them after every ot yoga class). The worst mat was the LLL mat they had on WMTM for $19. The center alignment stripe was a great feature, but the mat began shredding after a few months. I chose the
Prolite over the Pro model for the lighter weight and color choices.

AZ Lulu Fan said...

Arghh, eventually, not epithet. Curse you iPad auto fill. Also, I'm on a plane. Southwest has inflight WiFi for $5!

Minda said...

Oohh AZ Lulu fan somewhere in the friendly skies surfing the web!!! HOW COOL!

Anonymous said...

thanks everyone for your input on the mat! i just ordered it! no more practicing on a stack of several old mats :)

Anonymous said...

Wow -- yay for inflight WiFi! Thanks for mentioning that, as I fly Southwest next month. Is it $5 for each leg of a flight or $5 total?

I loved the epithet comment. I thought you'd written that in place of a curse.

Tempted by the mat. I've heard about it for so long. I kind of wanted the $84-inch one, but I'm only 5'4", so I guess it's not really necessary.

yogibabe said...

@Anon 12:29
I am also 5'4" and have several Manduka Black Mat, including the 100" that is no longer made. Bought it in the guise of gifting it to my husband who is 6'3". But I'm the one who uses it more. Love it for "spinal rolling", as I "travel" quite a bit doing it. Now it's mostly a home mat. We called it the "landing strip" when one is unfolded in class! :)

But to be realistic, you don't need the longer 84" one. 71" will be just fine. :)

LLA - You steal photos from various lululemon stores - how is it that you have no problem doing that? I thought it was really weird that the store I work at posted photos of me modeling new product, and then someone in a class I was taking told me they saw me on this blog. I didn't know you existed until that happened, and I felt sort of violated.

Minda said...

If you are uncomfortable with your photo being posted online, you should tell your lulustore you would prefer them to not take your picture when modeling clothes. But I generally accept if I'm modeling something for someone they will probably want pics! We live in such a strange time now where everything we do is so public and instantly uploaded for the world to see. It really is an unsettling feeling! I personally LOVE my picture taken! I'm such a ridiculous ham! But everyone is different lol!! Though I love my pic taken I am always sure that whatever is posted is something I'm okay with. Your lulustore should have asked you first. As to pinching LLA about what she posts here on her blog, I don't think is the same as someone posting or eBay sale which should be of the actual item. Just let it go and have a great evening!

yogibabe said...

Same sentiment here with you Minda, as far as photos are concerned. Several differences between LLA and "Ebay's Pictures Snatchers", just like you said, comparing apples and oranges. LLA used the pictures not for profit. If anything else, it is promoting the stores (hence sales!) of that particular store. It's a free promotion for your store. Ebay's Picture Snatchers are misrepresenting the item that they are selling if the pictures posted are not the ACTUAL items. Breaking rules plus misleading buyers. Many a times I would have to message a seller to make sure that the item is as pictured. It is especially important when buying items with prints. Print placements is quite important to me when buying lulu (I know...I am a lulu dork!). Plus, Ebay's Picture Snathchers are using the pictures for profit.
@Anon 1:35pm.
If you are uncomfortable with your pictures being used elsewhere than where it was intended, put a watermark across your picture that say "Please do not copy" or some such thing like that. :)

Anonymous said...

I personally love seeing eBay photos with store models AND actual item photos. Helps with figuring out fit for those of us who are new to lulu. I know that any picture taken and posted ever of anyone, even not lulu, is probably going to make its way online.

Anonymous said...

eBay photo snatchers: if you need a pic of the item on someone's body to show fit, then try on whatever item you are re-selling and have your own picture taken! Since you are "just cleaning out your own closet" the item should still fit you more or less.

Problem solved and stop stealing pictures of people that are ok with their pics on THIS BLOG ONLY, and not on your eBay listings!! There is a difference!
