Ray Scoop Me Up and More

Liking the Ray Scoop Me Up a lot. Shown with Pow Pink Wunder Unders. There is also a Bruised Berry Scoop Me Up but I haven't come across a photo of it yet.

Hot But Not tank in White/Mirage print - pretty!

Pop Orange LS Swiftly. There is also a short sleeve and the tank in this color.

Example of the Run: For Your Money tank getting gathering at hips and making the tank lie wrong.

Another White/Silver Scoop Me Up photo.

I tried on the run for your money tank a couple days ago. Mine hung nicely on the bottom. And it fit nice on the top for me as well. I'm a 34d. What bugged me and why I didn't get it is that pocket in front. It's useless and it hangs down and ruins the look. Love the view from behind. Up front it looks strange to me.

Anyone try the pow pink WUs? Is the luon thinner & are they see through? Do they have a triangle gusset?

Anonymous said...

Does anyone have a review of the new Run: Nothing To Hide Crop's? Do they fit tts or do you need to size up for a comfortable fit? I'm between a 4-6 (4 in grooves but 6 in WUC's) so not sure which size to get?!?
Thanks :)

Off topic... But doesn't that last picture look a lot like Sarah Jessica Parker?

Anonymous said...

How much is the new Scoop me up tank?

Anonymous said...

I just wore my porcelain wu for like 4 hours to a social event and they are pilling so badly. I'm shocked and beyond disappointed. :-(

Anonymous said...

Never understand people wearing leggings as pants!

I personally love my Run For Your Money tank. I got it in plain black and the pocket doesn't bother me although I agree that they are useless, it isn't a square pocket, more angled at the bottom. I don't know what you can put in there without bothering you while you run.

The support was fine for me, I'm a B sometimes C cup. I ran 6km in it and the ladies were comfy. The tank cover was lightweight and perfect for runs. It was a bit fitted around the hips but I'm hippy so that was expected and it did help from the shorter riding up or flapping about.

Anonymous said...

Oops, I meant it helped the shirt from riding up. :-)

@anon 9:38pm. Doesn't look like anyone is buying the Nothing to Hide run crops. I asked a couple of days ago about fit as well, particularly the waistband (all the pics on the website show it worn folded down -- is it like a luxtreme version of the Will waistband?) and no one has responded. There is only one review on the website. If anyone has tried one on, would you chime in please? I have the same "sometimes 4, sometimes 6" dilemma. Thanks!

I started off yellow and pink like this woman photoed!! But decided to wear blue instead of pink - it looks GREAT! Try it out =D I can see RAY crb with Porcelaine Leggies looking fun too!

I'm wearing daffodil Yellow gathered crops from Beyond Yoga and Porcelaine CRB, (Deep Breathe sports bra and lavender technikini thong under all! sorry if TMI! I just wanted to give full outfit that is so comfy and happy!)
White full expression top as to-fro cover up! Ready for the New Day! The new work out and prepared to be the SUNSHINE that is lacking in Sunny Florida with all this gloomy rain expected for the next few days!!

I'm loving this pic of the POW WU and Ray Scoop - Even if the scoop might be a miss depending on bust support (fingers crossed for a hit), I LOVE this fun summer color combo!!

Ok have a fantastic day everyone!

Looked at the Nothing to Hide Jacket & Transition Jacket. Boy, once more I think LULU missed the mark & has overpriced their item.

Should be in the Loot

Anonymous said...

Yeh, I feel the same way - put them in the loot

Anonymous said...

I would be ecstatic if Lulu designed a Bruised Berry Dance Studio Jacket. :) A BB Bang Buster would be awesome, too. Bring the color to the core!

Anonymous said...

I too want to know about the nothing to hide crops. Luxtreme Will crops are what I have been waiting for.

Anonymous said...

@ Anon 11:57... Not sure why you felt the need to take a dig at anon 11:25 for wearing her leggings to a social event. I love this forum because it's a place where us girls can get together and chat about a common love. Please leave your cattiness for elsewhere. Or better yet, lose it altogether!

Anonymous said...

Tried the Nothing to Hide crops yesterday. Similarly, I'm between a 4 and 6. I wear a 4 in Studio Dance crops and a 6 in luxtreme crops. I buy all luxtreme crops in a 6.

NtH fit similar to the Marathon and the Run in the Sun crops that I have. I found the back seams in the NtH indented into my leg in the 4, which made them look too tight. Didn't buy them yesterday but if I did at some point (on sale) I would get the 6.

I expected the waist band to roll up like the Ebb And Flow but when you turned it up completely it was really loose and floppy - not tight on the waist. When folded down to the lowest point it made the rise low. It wasn't the type of waist band that would hold the tummy in.

Overall I liked them but just don't need another pair of short crops (ok, this is not the forum to let "need" be the decider since I did leave the store with a BB Define - my 6th Define).

For reference I am 5'4 and 119lbs, longer in the leg and shorter in the waist. I wear a 4 in all the tops and jackets.

@ Minda,
I've been considering the daffodil yellow gathered crops from Beyond Yoga, but have not seen them in person. Are they sheer?

Anonymous said...

@LLA,
How did you find the fit of the SL pop orange swiftly? Are the armholes as deep, and the neckline as low as some of the previous versions? Thanks so much for your help.

No one seems to have mentioned the bag in the first pic with the Ray Scoop.... Looks like a Pow Pink Pack Your Practice bag :)

Anonymous said...

I thought the bag was just the Pack Your Practice bag in flash...

Christie said...

The Flash PYP bag was really orange colored. This one looks like the same colour as the Pow WUs :)

Does anyone know how the Run: Fast and Free Crop run? The reviews on the website are conflicting as to size up or not. I am looking at the purple color and am thinking I need to size up to make sure they aren't see through. Any suggestions?

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know how the bruised berry swiftly compares to the pigment blue swiftly? The two colors seem similar.

Anonymous said...

I'm usually a size 6/8 for WUC and any luon crop. But for the Run Fast and Free I sized up. While 8 did fit comfortably, I went for a size 10 because I found it too low rise and gave me muffin top issues (my problem area). No sheerness problems with either 8 or 10.

Similar situation with Excel crops, went with 10 due to low rise and small hem opening.

Anonymous said...

I am in love with the ray scoop me up and pow pink winder unders. Oh I hope they fit on my body as well as it does the young lady in the picture!!!!

Anonymous said...

The Run Fast and Free is not sheer at all. I wear a 4 in WUs and all my other LL run crops. I ordered the Run Fast and Free in a 4, and it fits fine. It does fit tighter around the waist than typical size 4s in other styles. It worked out for me though, since I have a small waist.

Anonymous said...

I know this is off topic but did anyone order the lilac In Stride from this past upload? Mine just arrived and it had a horrible smell to it! It smells like rotten fish! I couldn't even try it on. It is going back! I also ordered a Bruised Berry In Stride and it is so much bigger than all my other In Strides. I am not sure if the cut is just bigger in that color or if it has the wrong tag and hang tag but it is going back as well. So sad!

Anonymous said...

I agree, the pocket on the front of the tank is dopey. Very unflattering.

The ray scoop will be cute, for sure. I can't wear ray but will definitely try on the bruised berry. However, with 36Cs, I don't anticipate it'll work.

Anonymous said...

@anon 9:59 am - ohh no!! I wanted both the lilac and the BB in stride but went with just the BB. all my in strides are a 6 because i like them a bit looser (I could get a 4 if i wanted a snug fit). I haven't gotten mine yet but i'm worried that if it fits bigger than my others that i won't be able to keep it :(.

Anonymous said...

@anon 9:16
I just bought the bruised berry sl swiftly. I also have the pigment blue sl swiftly. They are similar, but the bruised berry, IMO has more purple in it whereas the pigment blue is more on the blue spectrum. In luon, the bruised berry is definitely more purple than pigment blue, but both are nice saturated colors. I won't buy a sl swiftly in bruised berry, only because I feel like in the swiftlys they're not different enough....but they're different if that makes sense. Again, in luon, I think there's more of a difference:-) hope this helps:-)

Anonymous said...

@anon 10:11 - I held it up against my flash light In Stride and it is at least an inch bigger everywhere except in the length. It has a thicker feel to the fabric, too. The lilac seemed thinner but I only had it out of the plastic for about 2 seconds until I realized it smelled and it went right back into the bag. It is so weird because they came in the same shipment so it is not like something spilled on the package because the BB doesn't smell. Very disappointing!

Minda said...

@anon 6:37am Hi there! I love the daffodils! They are not sheer on me! They have that nice peached soft supplex. I think they are best for activities like dance class, body pump barbell class, yoga with your own mat and towel! - I would not use them in Pure Barre again or anywhere I would have to use a bench or carpet to roll around on. Since they are light colored things just stick to them! Drives me insane. Its only with the very light BY gathers do I have this problem. (pry cause I just can't see it on darker colors LOL) - oh always wash insideout. dryer friendly.

Those are the only downers to that color and fabric combo. They are cheery and lovely, I get so many compliments in them! They have the nice oval gusset (mentioned since everyone is blowing up about gussets!) They put me in a happy mood - and when you wear daffodil I think you just gotta bring the sunshine wherever you go! =D They also transition well to wear with a flowy tunic for casual social wear.
Also - not sure if you have any of BY leggings in the supplex but its best to size down in them!

I heard Daffodil is a test color, not sure if they come in the xxs size. I wear a medium. Anyway, beyond yoga started the summer sale today. yay! I'm going to scope it out! - If you check out the sale read the descriptions LOL I got these cute looking quilted shorts thinking from the pic they had finished edges - but they were cut offs EW. hope my descriptions helped! all the best!

Anonymous said...

@ anon 10:22: Wow this is horrible, thanks for the heads up! I have the flash light in stride as well and i will definitely be comparing it with the BB when i get it as that's a huge size difference IMO. *resisting urge to weep*

Anonymous said...

@ anon 10:11

Thanks so much for the color comparison info! I'll wait for new swiftly colors, and just get the bruised berry crb instead.

Anonymous said...

i have the run:nothing to hide crops, the waistband is soft luxtreme foldover with no strings. they are extremely flattering and comfy.i wear a 2 in wu but a 4 in inspires and fast and frees and took a 4 in these.the foldover is flattering and not bulky= no muffin top!lol!

Anonymous said...

@anon 10:28 - I called the GEC to complain about the smell of the lilac IS and mentioned about the BB being bigger. The girl I talked to didn't have a comment about it so maybe mine just has incorrect tags. I am going to take it to the store to see if they have another one or if it does just run big, I am going to size down since it is such a pretty color! And apparently I wasn't the only one who received smelly clothes because she said they have had people send stuff back and some just aired them out for 24 hours. If I am spending over $100 on a jacket, I am not leaving it outside overnight in the hopes that the stench it came with goes away!!

Contemplate this when you're waiting on an upload.

Pretty much the usual news for LLL:
+38% Year-to-date increase in stock price
+179% Q1 increase in online sales

"Lululemon’s brand value has soared 292% to $3.2-billion in the past two years…"…"Revenue soared 53% to US$285.7-million in the quarter ended April 29, 2012 over the same three-month period last year. Sales in its online channel were up 179% over the same period. Inventory at the end of the quarter was US$107.7-million, compared with US$64.4-million a year ago…."

When you're complaining that the Scoop Neck is not available all year long…
…"'Lululemon is focusing less on driving every last sales dollar right now, more on building a pipeline of product to drive future sales…That is the best possible strategy for a brand with such high cachet'"

“'We are always balancing future success with immediate success and as our garments get a little more complex, [it] is the cost of creating the market and being a market leader,” Ms. Day said, adding the company always strikes a balance between ordering more of what made it popular in the first place and testing consumer appetite for new lines.'"

and
“We don’t want to chase a short-term sale and sacrifice our reputation for quality or execution — that’s a slippery slope and we don’t want to be there.”

Ah, on this last, she is correct. If she really believes this I hope she's taking a hard look at the quality of production in the numerous factories LLL is using. Every customer knows there are a myriad of quality issues for various items.

@ Ashley 8:57: I own the Run Fast & Free in all black and love them. I am a tts 4 in all/numerous LLL bottoms and these were no different. My black pair are not sheer. I love the low rise. The crop is VERY comfortable overall, in the legs, waist (NOT too tight on me at all), back of knees. I am very fit and I don't get a MT ever. I've never had to size up in any bottoms. Jackets it's another story, size 4 or 6, tops I'm a 4 except CRB I'm better in a 2 but will buy a 4 on sale and it's all that's left.

About BY. I have not bought BY in a few years, but because of the sale, I'm tempted. Need your advice in regards to sizes. Bottoms: WU, etc.. (anything luon)=size 2
Bottoms with luxtreme=size 4

Tops with built in bra=size 4
Tops without bra (CRB)=size 2

How will these translate to BY sizes? I saw that AZ Lulu Fan sized down to an XS from a 6 in lulu bottom. XXS for me? Thanks for the heads up and I'm trying to score a pretty, colorful pair if I can get to the BY website. It's been wonky for me just now. :(

Hi Minda and AZ Lulu Fan- I was looking at the BY quilted leggings as well. They look SO cute! Do they have a similar feel to the ebb & flow? what sort of rise are they? Curious if anyone has tried their white leggings? Curious if they are see thru. Also appreciate your fb on the daffodil capris, Minda. I've been quietly obsessing over them.

I ordered and returned the power purple wunder unders. Still so sad about it. I saw these Zella "live in" reversible capris that reminded me of them. Has anyone tried these?

hi there
The BY website was slow and timing out for me too BOOOO -
remember all sale items are final!

My good friend wears
2 WU, xxs BY leggings
2 CRB and xs BY tops.

I don't like the tops that have any plastic pieces to them IE original cami, as I've had one break on me.
I like the racerback cami- it is also supplex like the leggings soft and stretchy. not for high impact.
of course must have quilts LOL. <3 my quilts!crops/long length white and black.
good luckies!

Minda said...

oops Ellie Sylvia ! I just saw your post after I wrote my other one!-I have white and black quilts in both crops and long length
also the racerback black quilt
the black quilt vest
white and black quilt shorts that have unfinished hem which you can't tell from pic on website grr - LOL

I don't have any ebb and flow, i find the material to be a bit heavier feeling. But not to the point of being sweltering. Throughout all work outs I am breathable and of course comfy. SOME by leggings have a lower rise, the quilts I feel wear a lot like wunder unders in rise.

I don't have see through issues with the quilts at all in white mostly because they are a heavier fabric I think.
-I am planning on getting the white crops eventually!
I like wearing the light colored technikini thongs under any light colored crop. ok
hope i'm not pissing off LLA, with all the BY talk! seriously I don't work for BY LOLOL. I just happen to have a lot of their items.
see ya! hope things work out for you!

Hi! Thanks for much for all the advice re BY. I love the look of the gathered leggings. I am a solid lulu 6 in bottoms - do you think I would be a small or Xsmall in BY? Thank you so much!!

Minda said...

hey anon 3:59!
If its the gathers, and you are a 6 lulu bottom I would say Small.
my friend wears size 4 wu and gets xs BY bottoms
my other friend is size 2 WU and wears xxs BY
I wear size 8 WU and wear size M by
so judging from that scale LOLOL you are in the middle!! small !
- the eco fabric is not as stretchy comfy as the supplex. ok take care!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the guidance! I am looking forward to trying out a new brand, and I am LOVING how much color is on the BY site. Thanks!!!

no problem! Beyond Yoga is great for closet basics. Simple no frills female figure flattering cuts and fit in lots of colors for whatever is "IN". While Lulu adds the cute factor to add to the closet. I know people get frustrated when something they love changes a lot. So its good to have more than one thing to love in my opinon LOLOL!

Some people are against leggings as casual wear, but I love to wear gathers under a flowy tunic and sandals!

Thanks Minda! You're right about those tanks with plastic pieces. I have a couple and while they are still fine, the breakage is just waiting to happen and I also find them uncomfortable.

Found a gathered legging in lapis, open back cami in black/lava and a one shoulder tank in the purple. Most of the XXS and XS are gone-boo! And I'm still trying to check out. The site is sooooo slooow.

btw, got my currant Scuba toady!! Love!!!! Hope you'll get yours soon. :)

Does anyone know if the new scoop runs on the same size fit as the old scoop or would you recommend going up or down?

AZ Lulu Fan said...

@Ellie Sylvia

I have the ebb & flows and the BY quilted leggings are softer, not as compressive. The BY quilts will be great for yoga, Pilates, barre and such while the ebb & flows can be used for more athletic activities like running as well as yoga.

The BY quilts are so pretty, the online pics do not do them justice. A bargain at $66 on Amazon. You won't be disappointed.

Yogibabe - YAY Currant Scuba for you!!! Though it would be nice to think mine would arrive on monday i really think it will show up weds. that and a black pair of no show socks. I've been smashing out crazed interval elliptical workouts and noticed some blisters on inner heel!! Hoping some new socks will help. --

I was also checking out the openback cami but decided I'm all set for tops for a while since I got alot at the memorial day sale. It looks like it should show off the waist, please let me know how it works out!

I had trouble with the Y back cami flattening me to oblivion and I've got a lot on top!! the Y- on the y back cami is a strap that endlessly boinga-boinga- boinga stretches and contracts, so odd and not comfortable for someone busty. So I mostly stick to CRB's and for BY, all the leggings, racerback cami's and occasional cover up top like the open back top.

@Az Lulu - which tops did you get?! You were so right with your description of BY leggings being less compressive! I was trying to explain them in comparison to WU and couldn't put my finger on it!

There is a pow pink scoop me up tank on eBay already! Lol

Anonymous said...

Bought a pair of Pow Pink WUCs today, but I was really on the fence about them, and after trying them on at home I'm pretty sure they're going back. They aren't see thru like Ray, but they are definitely more sheer than Power Purple. I could almost deal with it, but I tried some yoga moves in front of the mirror, and the fabric is so thin you could see some lumps in my booty and thighs, even though I barely have any cellulite! Plus the educator who bagged them said to be careful with washing them because they do bleed. Definitely trying the Beyond Yoga crops because apparently Lululemon can't make fun colors that don't a.) bleed b.) shows my underwear c.) both. Ugh.

Purchased casual wear styles today:
Relaxed Pullover
Striped Open Back
Cowl Neck Dolman

Confession - I've never purchased a LLL casual top. Can not bring myself to pay $70 - 90 for what is essentially a t-shirt or sweatshirt. I pick up yoga coverups in the Anthropologie Lounge section. Half the price of LLL coverups and cuter design details.

On the other hand I adore the LLL technical tops. I have 5 short sleeve swiftlys and would love a mid-range pink.

Super sale prices at BY. Thanks for the heads up Minda!

Finally got my order in. These are what I go:

GATHERED LEGGING in Lapis
LOW RISE CAPRI in Dahlia Pink
TEARDROP BACK CAMI in Blush
QUILTED VEST in White(They only have a small as the smallest size available in this, but since it's an outerwear, I chanced it. It can always go to my niece, who is a small.)
OPEN BACK CAMI in Black

Total with tax and free ship $148.13

Thanks for all your help and I hope all who bought today did use the SUMDAY10 coupon for 10% off, even for sale items!
P/S: My husband approved of the BY styles. He took part in some of the item selection process! :)

Sorry LLA, see what happen when you're off marathon-ing for the day, this blog had a Beyond Yoga takeover! Hope you did well in the race!

Oh what is nice too is that you get a free headband in some random color every time you order. unless you order back to back LOL then its the same color. Its not a "bangbuster" but hey- its nice material and free! headbands don't look good on me - even though I have several lulu ones in an attempt to be a cute headband wearer lol . . so these just stick around as a nice band to keep all my hair out of my face for face washing! ---

This is first time I've ever had slow time out issues on that website, odd!! - Anyway, sounds like an awesome haul Yogibabe!! My friend has the small vest and she wears size 2 crbs. it looks comfy but not snug - which is ok for outwear as you mentioned.

my outfit of the day lol - lapis BY relaxed pull over, pink dahlia racerback cami and porcelain blue turbos!! slouchy rainy sunday! =D My husband also likes the BY colors and styles. He always compliments me on my CRBS though, especially Menthol!
-
Now that educators are warning on pow pink bleed issues I will grab a pair of the neon pink BY gathers. I have the neon purple and I wouldn't really say its NEON, more like a really nice grape, but not dark like concord.
-
The scoop me up tank in pow with black straps is SO CUTE, i wish lulu wasn't having these issues!

- LLA, I saw your twitter feed and could sense the rising anticipation! It said . . . we are in the corral now! - hope your race was fantastic!

So should you size down in BY or is is TTS if you know what size you are in LLL? I'm a 10 in WU so I was going to purchase the L, but some of the reviews are saying to size down so I wasn't 100% sure to go with the L or not!

Anonymous said...

7:33, I'm a 6 in WU and Grooves (can wear 4, too, but prefer 6), and I like BY small. But I have some medium and they're fine, I just like more snugness.

So....I would say if you like snug, try medium. But large should be fine, too. You may not have many choices on the sale items, so perhaps availability may drive your decision in that arena.

Or if you're not leaping on sale items, you could try them via Amazon and get free returns. Just remember if you have Prime to check off super-saver shipping instead of free 2-day shipping in order to qualify for returns.

I think I am going to start a Beyond Yoga clothing swap group on FB now, so perhaps we can get some 2nd hand BY flowing. I rarely see it on eBay.

Minda said...

I think they aren't on ebay a lot because they aren't BLAM in your face pushing trend in colors and cuts.

The reason I suggest sizing down is because of the supplex. It is stretchy and comfy - so after a couple hours you might feel sag in the rear! Thats why its best to size down and even BY suggests sizing down in the leggings. I feel the tops are more TTS.

My first BY purchase was white quilts, i got them in L thinking hey I'm an L! I wore WU 10 the time. Then I noticed the pants sagging. I got M size next and loved them. eventually I moved to WU 8 and the M BY still fit great just a flatter tummy on my end!

I decided to visit one of the three stores (San Antonio) close to me (about 45 to 60 minutes from my home) today and saw an educator wearing a Run: for your money tank in Ray. It looked good on her. The pocket was triangular in shape (like a folded corner of a paper) and it was fine. She was wearing a 6 and is TTS on her. I decided to buy my daughter (college age) one just like it so she can rock it when she goes to the rec center to work out and/or hang out. I never thought I'd even give this a try. I was mistaken. I hope it fits my daughter the same way. We'll see. I also bought a crb in ray and flash (I can't believe this color is still around considering the bleeding problems!). And of course I bought it. I was looking for pow pink anything but the only thing they had was a crb in racing length. I am short but I don't dig this. I like to cover my bum. They said they didn't get any pow pink WU. The other store (Austin 6th and Lamar) said they sold out two weeks ago but did to show in their PN. Hmmn. I should go to the last of the three stores (ha ha) and check it out. The educator might just confused the color. I also got 2 bras in deep breath on clearance and a Ta Ta tamer in black for the other daughter. I don't care much for the bruised berry. It does not look good on me. It looks good by itself though. All in all the trip was almost a waste since I did not get what I intended to but the good bra prices I guess made it all better.

Went to the Palo Alto store today and they had the Scoop Me Up tank in white/silver. Although I'm not interested in white, I decided to give this a try for fit.

I'm a 32 large C/small D and was surprised that this covered me as much as the Scoop Neck Tank. The seaming across the front made my chest look smaller (which doesn't bother me). I didn't find the support to be any less than the Scoop Neck tank. I agree it comes up higher under the armpits, which I like. It also pulled less around the neck. I found it very flattering on. I'll definitely be purchasing if they come in color/pattern.

Also saw the mirage print in the Daily tank. It had a very waxy feel where the color is - maybe a coating to prevent bleeding? Either way, it's a pass.

I ended up grabbing a flash/dune Scoop Neck Tank today in case they really are phasing them out. The educator explicitly spoke to me about bleeding (unprompted) and encouraged pre-soaking (which I do already) and come back if it bleeds at all. Maybe they are finally hearing us?

Thanks Anon 8:10AM! I ended up going with the L because I purchased the Gathered Leggings and Long Leggings on sale and didn't want to have an issue with sizing since the sales are final (also only L and XL were available)! Hoping I love them, the colours were quite nice.

I hope LLL changes the gusset back to the oval. I bought the Power Purple WUs and I love the colour, but I spent 2 weeks debating about them because of the gusset. Luckily for me they didn't cause camel toe, nor did I have the issue of seeing the gusset from the back. I'm still kind of worried about them though. Does anyone know if they really show sweat a lot? I wanted to wear them to hot yoga, but the idea of crotch sweat showing up makes me hesistant!!!
