Photos: Run: Split Singlet

Shown with the Light As Air Shorts

Shown with Light As Air Shorts. Also shown is the Pop Orange Split Singlet.

Shown with new Indigo/Mirage Print Inspire crops

Photos of the new Run: Split Singlet in the Mirage Print. This new tank style intrigues me. I definitely want to try it on but I'm not sure about the big difference in length between the front and the back. I'm also not sure if I'd like the Swift material as a tank.

i truly have no idea what the purpose of this new run tank is. it seems to leave EVERYONE exposed in the front, and creates a cape-effect as you run? Also it is too wide on all the girls photographed - so unflattering. YUCK LULU YUCK.

Agreed....yuck!

I know! The photo of the Pop Orange singlet where you can see the back of the girl as she is running is awful. I think I'll just grow my Swiftly tank collection. I've run up to 9 miles in it, in 80+ degree weather and can't say a bad thing about them. They're so soft and wick moisture really well.

I triple that thought .... YUCK!!

I feel like this singlet is just LLL's way of making something totally out there and new to either
1. See how loyal their base is to see if we will buy any random garbage they make

or

2. To keep all the other companies that have been making copy cats (like Costco) from copying all their designs.

Either way, I think this thing looks like a bad home-ec project.

Upload! The only thing I am slightly tempted to buy is the Scoop Me Up in mirage.

And I wish the pow pink/black was a true reversible crop and not just the black band. I have a feeling it's see through, I can see the model's undies in one of the photos.

Oh well, safe for this week. 2nd week in a row with nothing from LLL.

Run Split Singlet - one of the ugliest items ever and completely impractical for running! FITTED to my body, please, not flapping around in this shapeless sack!

The Swift material is awful as a tank (or dress, for that matter). Once you sweat, or god forbid, run in humidity, it clings. It actually holds water, rather than evaporates. After running 8 miles on a hot day in my Run in the Sun Dress, I felt positively obscene. I wish Lulu would ditch this fabric altogether, or be more strategic about what they use it for.

That is one awful looking top I would not even wear that if it was given to me for free.
I actually don't mind the material, but it is not designed for heavy sweating. I have the run in the sum dress in that material and I use it as a cover up, can't run in that thing in Brooklyn NY.

@ Desacratix - thanks for the info on running in the Swift material. When I tried it on it didn't seem like it would wick the sweat away like my Swiftly tanks do. It seemed like it would get wet and sticky. I find even my beloved Silverescent tops are not as good as the Swiftlys. When I did 5 miles at the gym the other day I had major under boob sweat marks. However, when I ran outside for 10 miles on sunday in another silverscent circle mesh top I was ok. I did have a pretty good breeze the whole time, though, so that probably help air dry the top.

I saw this tank in the store yesterday and thought it looked like a mullet. But I love the mirage print so i tried it on. I sized down to a 4 and it's awesome. It looked so cute on. I'm 5'3" and the length is perfect. I wore it today to an advanced conditioning class. It was super comfortable and loved awesome with Navy crops.
