Pow Pink Swiftly and Dash Tight

The Pow Light Swiftly looks gorgeous with the Indigo/Mirage print Dash Tights. This is from New Zealand so both these pieces aren't here yet.

A good photo of the Bruised Berry Bangbuster headband.

The stripe on those tights just is not flattering, even on that fit model. But the pink does look very nice with the mirage.

Did I miss the bruised berry bangbuster? Was it uploaded already?

i regret not buying that BB bangbuster....

I have to agree with the other comments - that side panel gives people serious BADUNKADUNK.
And not the good kind =/
The top is lovely though and I am really liking the pow pink/indigo pairings that have been posted lately!

I paired my pop ss swiftly with indigo and it looked great. I just think navy is a great pair to these brighter colors.

Wish they would re-sock the indigo ebb and flows. I only bought black and I love them!

I feel like I'm alone in this, but I fell in love with those Dash Tights the first time I saw them! Can't wait to see them pop up in Canada!

@anon 1:00PM I just left my local store (I'm in AZ) and they had plenty of indigo ebb and flows. Maybe check with your local store (if you have one). :-)

i got a BB BB (bruised berry bang buster) on friday and it seems a bit tighter than my other ones. could have been my headache, but i'd suggest trying it on to make sure you get one that fits your head. :)

OT: just came back from the GAP and surprised to see their athletic line. In store they had a 30-40% off sale so purchased their version of the racerback. Super soft like LLLs Luon lite but not see thru. I just bought the orange and bruised berry like color for $21! Can't wait to give it whirl tomorrow!

Anonymous said...

Any chance of a deep indigo swiftly in the future? That would be lovely!!

@Anon 1:37
I also love the Dash tights! I own them in black and can't wait for the indigo/mirage to hit Canada!

This is slightly unrelated, but is it considered a quality issue if material is ridiculously wrinkly?

I ordered the flash light power y and it was fine prior to washing, but no matter what drying method I use (hanging on a hanger, laying out on a flat surface), it's ridiculously wrinkly to the point that I can't wear it because I'd look like a slob.

I've never had this problem, any help? I was going to call GEC sometime this week about it.

@Anon 2.48 re GAP racerbacks: awesome! Do you know off the top of your head what the name of the tanks are? Just been looking... Thanks!

OT - I was at the Nike Outlet over the weekend and noticed they have running shorts in cute colors: bright green, purple, pink, orange, etc. and embossed designs in the fabric (checkerboard, lightning bolt) with waist bands that are similar to the RSS design. They didn't have pockets built into the band and they looked shorter and less baggy than what Nike has been selling most recently. I didn't try them on to see how they compared fit wise, but the price was right at about $25.

Has anyone had any experience with these?

About the Gap fit line. I am impressed too. I have tried their GapFit Motion seamless racerback tank.
http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=83070&vid=1&pid=504744&scid=504744072

I believe it's their version of the swiftly. Just slightly thicker than the swiftlies but is lovely. Bought several colors including neon orange light (like dazzling/pop orange), phosphorus (ray) and a pretty fire coral (flash). Enter code GAPFUN for 25% off and select free shipping on all orders over $50. :)

Thank you for posting the name of the Gap tank. :)

I agree it is their version of Swiftly but more like a light Luon material but not see thru. I'm not sure why they don't have a pic of the back, but it is a racerback. I will try it out tomorrow in my bootcamp
Class and report back here in this posting. If it works well, I plan on ordering more!! It's definitely soft on the skin. I did buy the pretty fire coral(like FlasH), too...very pretty!

For reference, I wear lulu size 4s on top and bottom and took an XS gap. Some of the other styles ram big for an XS, otherwise I would have purchased more items. :)

@yogibabe 5.40- thank you! I was looking at another one of theirs online, it was *this one I was after :)

I just ordered the gap racerback in faded ink
Blue and yellow key lime pie. Can't wait to try! :)

The tank in these colours is just fabulous!!! Hugs the body in all the right spots....super bummed that scubas aren't out in summer...and word
On when they will be?????

The GapFit jackets have thumbholes and they have a jacket that looks similar to the define jacket. I am also impressed with their workout pants, but have too many of those so I'll start with racerback tanks. :))

I love these comments! Any recommended gap crops out there to to go with my new racerbacks...? X

Anonymous said...

Boooo, no racerbacks on Gap Canada. Not the Gap Fit ones anyways.

OT...going on holidays tomorrow and Lulu has even managed made my packing high maintenance. All of my potential bleeders are separately packed in Ziplocs.

Have the Gap "Define" like jacket in a bright blue. It is excellent. Gap Racerback soft bra is what I wear under my CRB's for running or yoga. So comfortable and nothing chafes, unlike the LL Y bra. The Gap bra runs small though. I'm a 2 in a CRB and wear a Medium Gap Y bra (32 bust).

Anonymous said...

fyi I do believe most Gap Fit pants and crops have a gusset now...they did not in the past. For Gap Fit yoga pants, they were making petite, regular and tall sizes (like their dress pants), but I'm not sure if this is true anymore.

Anonymous said...

I should have tried on the Gap yoga pants now. I did stretch them out with my hands and not only were they soft but did Not seem see thru. I was looking at a pair of small-Regulars, so I believe they come in a variety of sizes(lengths).

I'll report back on the GAP racer tank after my class tomorrow morning!!

I've been tooting and raving about the GAP on my FB for MONTHS now!!! :) It's great that they are online in Canada now too and their customer service phone line...is FANTASTIC!! if you can wait till the weekends, they usually have promo codes to off their customers and sometimes you can get as much as 30-40% off your order!!! AND!! It doesn't matter...if the item happens to already be on sale, they will further take 30% more off that item!! The items come in the mail....always with a return label, so if you don't like something, or it doesn't fit...stick the return label on your shipping bag, say you want to return the item and the reason...and voila!! in a week or so...you'll see the amount returned right back to your VISA!! (As oppose to it taking 4-5 weeks for Lulu to do the return back to your visa or you having to call and bug Lulu and ASK THEM...why it's taken them so long to process a refund!) I recently bought a white bikini from the GAP, in fact...I bought it in April and only wore it once last week, at the cottage. after getting out of the water, I realized my bikini had weird yellow stains going all through it. Called the Gap, told them...what Im telling you--NO PROBLEM!! They are sending me a return label and said they will give me a full refund, even though....I used a promo code, and got 25% off!!! :) I call the GAP and I never get rude reps over the phone...telling me it was my fault....my sweat, that ruined that shirt I wore. Lulu has gotten very arrogant at the top and they "think" no one will knock them down...but I think the GAP is about to knock them off their high horse! :) Lulu has a crappy selection of "we made too much" and by the time you get there...2 hrs later...only size 2 is left! Lululemon has become a greedy company...who doesn't give out ANY INCENTIVE to keep its customers!! One year...I spent around $30,000 on Lulu and NOT ONCE...was I ever offered a promo code! I call MAC and the GAP and they offer me promo codes RIGHT OVER THE PHONE!!! In the 13 years I've bought from Lulu...I've never been offered anything but an "I'm sorry this happened to you....BS! BS! And more BS!" LOL... The end of my story book is almost here...."bye bye Lulu...HELLOOOOO Gap!" (or Lucy, or someone else...who kisses my bum with promo codes!) :P

Anon 4:54am- thank you for sharing!

After seeing the blog post about the flash/dune stripe crb "pH " excuse from Lulu, I knew I had to start looking for alternative choices(let's start with the basics right?). After one light workout wear and wash later, I rinsed my flash/dune striped crb in cold water and washed with my other lulu items and I got similar stains on it, too(as LLA showed earlier). It is very upsetting...and I TOO feel uncomfortable returning anything at lulu. It should notbe this way!!

That's why I mentioned the Gap racerbacks initially in this thread. We need other alternatives and I'm hoping Gap is one of them(as I'm searching around :))

I've never said this before, but Lulu does need to shape up their attitude and stop with the arrogance, I spend thousands every month, and I'm getting tired of the bleeding issue as well. It shouldn't be this much work for us.

Antwsy, I'll still probably buy the cute Hot but not Cute tops from lulu but im looking elsewhere for alternatives with better service. :)

Thanks for sharing 5:56-am (from 4:54-am) :)

And while we are all on this lovely RANT...(LOL) what's up with them now starting to make their bras only up to a size 8??? That doesn't exactly work, if you were born with a tiny frame and ended up with 36-38DD boobage. Anypd sometimes not carrying size 12 & 14, because they prefer to carry "boutique sizes????" Whenever there is an upload....the BIGGER SIZES, always sell out first!!! I rarely see size 2 & 4 sell first, so that tells me that most women are NOT size 2 & 4!!! It feels like Lululemon is telling us that size 12 & 14 is not beautiful....and this is just NOT TRUE!!! we are ALL beautiful....as women...in all shapes and sizes!! I wear size 4 & 6 in lulu bottoms and it MAKES ME SICK...to see the BS they write on their wall, as to why they aren't able to carry past a size 10 or 12 for ladies. Every shape and size...wants to work out and I'm TIRED...of trying to pack my 38DD bosoms into a size 10 Flow Y bra....the uni-boob is NOT sexy on me! LOL... Also notice....they recently made the LOVELY Lift & Seperate bra....up to size 38 D....and DD in every other lower size, but WHY NOT....a 38 DD??? WTH? So I bought it in a 38 D and it barely fits...Without my shirt, I look "porn star breasts meets Lululemon..." I want a bra with med support and I don't want to "feel like" I'm all tied down with a bra! For me...TA TA TAMER, is just too much material for me and then..when I see a color I love, I read about color bleeding. When you see a bra you'd love to have...they don't make it past a size 8!!! What's up with that now???? Are big chested ladies, like myself..considered overweight in the "eyes" of Lulu?!? Seems that way.... :( New Logo we might soon see on Lulu bags: "discrimination is more important than money....." and "say YES to camel toe!" (LOL) Yes, indeed...it's getting that bad!

I just have to toot the horn for Prana, since we are on the mode for "horn tooting" of other companies with far more superior customer service than lulu.

I received a pair of Prana crops and top as a gift. The top, Quinn, I love but the Prism crop I do not. It has detail stitching across the knees (for decorative purpose, I'm assuming) that dig into my knees whenever I do poses that requires me to bear my weight on my knees, (kapotasana, ustrasana:King pigeon, camel pose NOT toes! heehee!) So, the tag says that they stand by their products; I called customer service.

I was so surprised at how pleasant and friendly the whole conversation was. A gift with no receipt, no problem. I have worn the crop once, no problem. Just fill in their return form, send it back to them and she will issue a gift card to me. Whenever I'm ready to get a new merchandise (she even told me to wait until Aug 13, as they will be releasing their new Fall line with more choices and pretty colors), just call her (gave me her personal email so that I won't have to explain anything to someone new to my case) and she will take my order and waive the shipping charges since it was a gift originally to begin with. Oh and get this, if I include my postage receipt in my return package, Prana will reimburse my return shipping too. How about that? I was so happy with Prana that I told her that eventhough I am a lulu lover, I am so impressed with their superior service, which is a thousand times better than lulu, and that I will tell this story to my friends. She modestly said that they try hard to make shopping with them a pleasant experience.

I am more selective with my shopping with lulu. Only get what I really need, versus want. Usually spend about $300 each upload, but the last two, only a couple of items and even returned my sole purchase from last week, due to the "see through" issue of the Mirage luon light Power Y.

Question to folks who have some Gap Fit products - are their seams as flat as Lulu's?

Honestly, I would like to look cute, but that isn't why I buy Lulu. I buy it because I have issues with seams and bumps and clothing cuts that irritate me/my skin (I've been told it's a sensory issue for what that's worth). Lulu is the first group of clothes I've found I can tolerate and even sometimes not notice they're there all day. I realize this probably isn't a common thing, but I will be very sad if their quality degrades to a point that they change their construction of garments - but I'm always willing to try something new, just usually unsuccessful.

Anon 7:05 - I was bummed when the lift and separate bra wasn't on the upload in sizes below a C cup (I'm a B cup) and someone on here commented that smaller sizes don't need to lift and separate. Ok, but I think that bra would fit a B cup and not make uni-boob and yay for a front closure bra! Does anyone know if it came out in smaller cup sizes in stores? (I'm 4 hours one way from nearest store.)

Thanks LLA and everyone!

Ok Girls - I tested out the GapFit Motion seamless racerback tank this morning in my circuit training class....and I have to say, I THINK it is Way more comfy than Lulu's CRB...way softer and I like how it is cut a little higher on top than the Lulu CRB. It has NO seams(ie, "Seamless racerback tank") and very breathable. It is loose in the upper mid-section area(but so is lulu crb for me as I am not very heavy in that area).

I am ordering these instead of the Lulu crb's now...ok, this is a start...and I BET Gap's clothing do NOT bleed. :)

Again, for reference, I am a Lulu size 4 on top and bought an XS Gap racerback tank (I am also about 110lbs and a 34B on top).

I say give it a whirl! I just bought mine for $22 with the recent sale. :)))

At some point people get tired of reading the same rants about the same things. If you are here complaining about the latest items that bled on you, it's because you continue to patronize lululemon through your weekly purchase. Just don't buy anything there anymore. ALL the things people complain on here (arrogant attitude, bad CS, bleeding, unraveling seams, no big sizes, no incentives, and the list goes on) won't change as long as you buy their products.

Some bras don't go past size 8 just because it won't provide adecuate support to women with large and extra-large breasts. It is that simple. Some bras are designed specifically for A & B cups, such as the Bound Bra. Why do you want the the Some Like It hot in a size 12 if that style can not hold up large chests? The tiny Daily Bra in a size 12 or 14 would barely cover the nipples. Let's be real.

It is the same situation why the Lift & Separate doesn't come in A and B cups!

Not every item is designed to fit all sort of different bodies and sizes out there.

Stop the rants, it's getting overwhelming that so many posts end the thread in endless rants about the same old things.

Late last year I bought a pair of GapFit yoga-style pants (regular length, and yes, they did also have petite and tall sizes at the store) at the same time I bought a pair of Groove pants. They are virtually identical, with flat seams, etc. They've been worn about the same number of times, washed the same way, and still, they look practically identical. And that pair of Gap pants do have a gusset, although it's sort of a modified rectangle shape, not a diamond shape per se.

However. The Groove pants cost me $98 plus tax. The GapFit pants were $55 full price, but I had a 20 percent off coupon from making a previous Gap purchase. So those pants cost less than half the lulu pants.

Anonymous said...

Anon 8:19 - (from anon 8:04) If you don't want to read the rants, then don't! I was asking about Lift & Separate in smaller cup sizes because I heard a rumor that it came in smaller sizes and just wasn't uploaded online (and again, I'm 4 hours one-way from a store). If you think that's a rant, you should get out more! I think that's one of the great things about this blog is that I don't live near a store and folks who do are willing to share their knowledge and opinions to those of us who only have an option to buy online (and have to pay return shipping, so hesitate until there's good feedback from folks).

I chose not to buy questionable bleeders from Lulu (but easy for me because I don't like bright colors), but if others do and it makes their day better by venting for a minute on here, so be it!

This is an awesome place....to here the good, the bad and the ugly of Lululemon. Personally, I LOVE reading what people are staying away from and it is most enjoyable to hear the opinions of others, on fit and whatever "issues" arise from the clothing of Lulu. Reading people "rants" have made it possible for people like myself, who DON'T live near a store...to AVOID wearing/buying the items people rant about. It has saved me THOUSANDS and thousands of dollars...where I can spend that money on a new Coach, Prada, Vuitton handbag....or just a new pair or Two...of TOMS shoes! ;) The people who don't like reading anything neg. are usually....past or present employees of Lululemon. (That's what I've noticed in the past...when noticing readers lashing out at others) well said and well put.....8:47am :) Big boob, little boob, no boob...we all have a voice and it SHOULD B heard!! :)

I too live far away from a store and love this blog for the product Info and fit/quality tips. It's also great since It takes me 10 days to get my online orders so by then I've heard other people's feedback on what I've bought so I know what to expect (either positive or negative). Also, I love the rants because I am relatively new to LLL, so I don't have the knowledge of how "good" the brand and quality is now compared to even a year ago. These tips, warnings, and positive reviews all impact my buying :)

On another note... This business about new run inspires has me excited as i haven't loved any of the recent ones!

Well said fellow bloggers. I also appreciate recommending "other" brands.. That's why I mentioned the GapFit racerbacks. The truth is A company canNOT make everyone happy and that IS the truth. Seriously, why not share our joys and pains? After all, this blog feels like a great support group whether I think I'm spending "too much" on lulu or sad that my favorite Lulu tank is bleeding after one wear.

We can't live in a lulu bubble now. :p

And hey....how do we KNOW...it's not Christine Day herself, making an "anonymous" comment...telling everyone to STOP ranting about Lululemon! (We dont know!) and if I was the CEO of a huge company thats getting a lot of flack right now...I might get really MAD and just tell everyone off! I mean...it's much easier to say whatever you want, when no one knows who you are... :) I'm SURE, Ms. Day...isn't living under a rock right now--she's probably on here daily...reading all our comments! haha...let's hope! :) FINGERS CROSSED! Since the Gap owns Athleta is the Gap athletic stuff just Athleta under another name? Kind of like Gap and Old Navy?
