WTF is with the ugliness that was uploaded tonight? Good thing a few new cute items were also uploaded:

Nothing for me tonight. What did you all order?

Yay! Currant red energy bra for me!

Tempted by the Portapotie scuba since I'm still bummed about missing out on the Currant scuba, but I dunno, it's just not as awesome as the currant.

Anonymous said...

Nothing for me either! I was a tiny bit tempted on the currant WU crops but i just think they are just too bright for me. I personally think that green scuba is awful. lol! Makes me think of a leprechaun!

Ingenue said...

I'm a sucker for an Energy bra in a bright color! I have a currant CRB from the last release, and I don't have any bleeding problems. I hope for the same with this new batch!

Anonymous said...

I have never thought I would want a scuba until I see the Portapottie color, I ordered it immediately along with the Catch Me Tank in Power Purple. Even though I love Current, I do not care for the color in crops/pants, too bright for my taste.

Unknown said...

The caspian scuba and scoop me up tank are lovely looking. The portapotie color will be fun, but later in the summer/fall. I love greens!

Green scuba. That's it!!! Kinda wanted the blue scuba... But it's not a perky blue. Did u notice the zipper on the purple and currant scuba? Tisk. Tisk. Lulu. Like we would fall for that!!
I adore the green scuba! I hope it's beautiful!

Side note... Why is model wearing a shirt that doesn't match the new blue inspire? Yuck.

Anonymous said...

Anyone has any suggestions whether to size down or TTS for the Catch Me Tank ?

Anonymous said...

Second week in a row I've been horribly disappointed with the upload! Wtf lulu!

Anonymous said...

Darn it Lulu strikes again! I REALLY want the pop orange swiftly SL in a 6. Earlier today I was on the website and ALL sizes were available so I decided to wait until the upload in case I wanted anything else. Now, I go to order it - sold out of most sizes. GRRRRRR.

Also - does anyone have any comments on running in the Dart and Dash shorts? vs the regular length Reverse groove shorts? I wanted indigo and mirage so I just bought the reverse groove but haven't worn yet or taken tags off - now I think I might want dart and dash instead! They gave me a little muffin top though...I sized up from 6 to 8 (I'm either or in luxtreme). Would it be worth trying a ten? If I keep the reverse grooves, do they slide waaaaaay up when you run?

Thanks...oh and I LOVE that green. Maybe not in a scuba, but def. love the green!

Ingenue said...

I'm really liking the green scuba, but can we discuss the name of the green for a sec: portapotie? Really?

LuluAddict said...

Did you guys notice the Power Purple LS Swiftly in the photo with the Capsian Inspires? If it comes in a tank, it's mine.

Anonymous said...

Currant WUC, Caspian Blue NLT & silver Venus Tank for me. :)

Here's hoping the currant doesn't bleed... although I haven't had any bleeding problems with my flash lights, bruised berry and paris pink. *crossing fingers & toes*

H.W. said...

I got the portapotie scuba and caspian scuba, the currant energy bra, the currant WUCs, and the caspian, pow pink and white/blazer fossil no limit tanks! I LOVED this upload!!!!

Anonymous said...

I like how the photo of the caspian blue inspires is the only one where the model is wearing a long top whilst the other inspires photos have the model's midriff bared.

Maybe that's lulu way of saying "our tops are long enough to cover the muffin top so you can still buy the inspires!" :D

Meanwhile - I want the power purple long sleeved swiftly worn with the inspires!

Anonymous said...

@Amy B - agree with the wrong styling of the new blue inspires. Total ICK. You would think they'd use any number of caspian blue tops they have. :)

Anonymous said...

@Ingenue - I know right, Portapotie?? Seriously, why name such a gorgeous green color that?

AZ Lulu Fan said...

I should have gone to bed early.

Anonymous said...

Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass... Ohhhhhhhh that GREEN! I like it a lot. I also just bought a used currant define.

Currant, portapottie, my styley elf outfit is sorted for christmas.

Lana said...

Waaaant the Caspian Scuba, but going to hold out for now. The green would look great with my red hair but I just can't love that color. If I find the Caspian scuba in store I'll probably have to buy it. I get a lot of wear out of my scubas.
That said, I'd love a Caspian Define, too.

Everything else was a bust. There looks to be a new currant jacket in one of the ambassador photos on the site. Maybe the new to-from jacket? The short one?

That zipper on the currant scuba is a major fail. How hard is it to source a red zipper?

Ingenue said...

Thank you Anon @11:43 - at least I'm not the only one who did a double take. Lame name/pretty green!

I think it will be really cute, even for out-and-about with jeans this fall!

rileygirl said...

I got nothing but I did pick up the PP NLT earlier this week. My Fedex man is gonna be bummed this week but my savings will be happy.

Anonymous said...

I don't know...that green looks way to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-like to me...

Anonymous said...

That green scuba paired with a ray Wunder Under would remind of Will Ferrell in Elf.

Anonymous said...

New Wu pants and nlt in Caspian and Caspian scuba I think it will be cute with silver Uggs

Anonymous said...

Ugly green scuba ! Lame name for sure ! Ugh ! I would have bought a menthol one.... Got the NLT in PP and CB. Those are awesome ! Yeah I'm with you LLA... why take such a lovely Pink and screw it up with FUGLY designs ??

yogibabe said...

Currant WUC (Minda, my wish came true!) and of course yet ANOTHER Scoop Me Up tank, in Caspian Blue. Honestly, I have all colors ever made, except black! It's my new "go to tank", when I want to "dress up" more than just with the good 'ol with Power Y or CRB. :D

Love the portapottie Scuba. BTW, is the color of portapotties in Canada mostly this green? I've never seen one in the US in this shade. Just trying to figure out why it's called this, for such a pretty green. And still debating on the caspian blue Scuba....

Pink Peony 4 said...

Caspian scuba, portapotie ( I swear the name) for my daughter ( school color), currant WUC, currant energy bra. I'll try the tanks on at the store. The plastic snaps in the catch me tanks got me worried a little. They will look nice baring those shoulders. They draw the eyes to the contrasting straps. Smart lulu. That's it.

Anonymous said...

I wanted the coal fossil slub denim/deep coal discovers but no size 12...not just sold out of, never made in that size. :(

yogibabe said...

Part 2...
The cute stitching on the caspian blue Scuba's logo got me off the fence. I got one! :P

Anonymous said...

How new is that "New Blue" on the WUC and WGC? Those items have been there for a few weeks, but I haven't seen anyone mention it as a new color. Is it from last time these crops were issued?

Anonymous said...

Bought the Pow Pink and Caspian NLT ( my store was sold out *that* day) Currant WU pants, and the Currant Energy Bra.

Anyone else notice the lack of CT in the new WUs? Perhaps they went back to the diamond gusset! Here's to hoping! Can anyone confirm in a store?

Anonymous said...

Well spotted, yogibabe! Beautiful use of Pop Orange stitching.. This kind of attention to detail that gives me renewed hope in Lulu. I would love to see this up close!

Amy b said...

Do they come out w lots of scubas? Or is this basically it for fall? How often do you see a cute print in it?

Anonymous said...

Got the NLT in Pow Pink, NLT in Caspian Blue, Scuba in Purple (I couldn't see an issue with the zipper...but I can always take it back if necessary), bang buster in black and slipless headband in indigo slub (I think that is what it is called).Yay! This was a pretty good upload IMO.

@11:59
Yes, porta-poties are green in Canada (or at least can be. I grew up there and remember a whole lot of green portapoties). The name is awful. The color is fantastic though! Just can't commit to wearing it as a jacket.

I want that Power Purple LS Swiftly!

got the Currant Energy Bra & Denim Fossil Boogies

Will get the Caspian Blue Scoop me up in store

Anonymous said...

Currant WUC, Caspian Blue Scoop me up, navy Blue denim Presence pant, and navy blue dart & dash shorts.

Someone asked about the dart & dash compared to the groove. The Dart & Dash are my fav. Lulu shorts. They are a tad longer than groove shorts and much more flattering.

@July 23, 2012 11:26 PM

The currant scuba hoodie was uploaded tonight along with the green portapottie and caspian blue scubas.

Anonymous said...

GREAT upload!! Thanks for listening lululemon!! Thrilled that the Energy Bra has come back (for those of us who are C-D+ cups), now all we need are Energy Bras in more colors! Love ALL the currant items and the caspian blue. Not a green person myself, but love the kelly green shade of portapottie. Now I'd just love to see more regular length CRB's in currant, caspian blue, even indigo, please (not that I'm against the XL CRB's for those who want or need that type of coverage.) Best upload I've seen in a very long time!

Anonymous said...

Outstanding upload :) Awesome colors and the styles you can count on, like Wunder Unders, Scubas, and especially the Energy Bra. Couldn't be happier! Thank you LLL :)))

Anonymous said...

Totally agree with LLA: FUG, FUG Upload!! And what's with that running "tunic"?! A TUNIC? Running in a "tunic"? to where? to the beach so it doubles and cover-up??
I think I'll pass on the tunic, to wait for the Running Caftan that's coming next, or a "Running Burqa"? Oh yeah, keeping my fingers crossed!

It seems lululemon is becoming obsessed with covering us up: X-long CRB, super long "regular" CRB, longer Power Y and Scoop Up tanks, Daily -mini dress- Tank, A Muse Me pant, and so on. Is it that LLL is now trying to penetrate new markets in the Middle East??? If so you are on the right path with that turtleneck Trinity Bra!

Emily @ Journey to the Center of Manhattan said...

anyone know how caspian blue compares to aquamarine?

Anonymous said...

That green scuba makes me want to sing "rainbow connection"
Who names a color after a mobile toilet ????

Anonymous said...

Anon 2:27 you make me chuckle :) I can't wait to see the running caftan paired with the Amuse me pants and the Trinity bra. Maybe if they add a few more tiers of ruffles to the Sun Runner Hybrid Pullover until it reaches your ankles!!!

Anonymous said...

I tried the Sun Runner Hybrid on at the gym this past weekend. The ruffles are awful, it's a shame, I liked the fabric and loved the color. I would have purchased it if it did not have the tiers of ruffles.

Erin said...

Did WUs ever come in portapotie? I'm dying for a pair of them! Hopefully they're in the next upload.

I bought the currant WUs but nothing else. I'm not loving any of the new tanks, and that jacket thing confuses the heck out of me! What happened to it?!

Anonymous said...

Wow.....no offense, but seem like a lot of people purchased tonight. Lulu isn't gong to take us seriously....if we keep buying!!!! :( Also "Portapoties" in Canada for the most part, in Canada are bright BLUE, not green! LMAO... I see one bra I'd like....but I'm not buying.

Anonymous said...

That running tunic is to cover up the muffin top and camel toe from the newly updates cut of their crops and pants! That's how lll is fast solving the issue: let's make longer and longer tops!

Anonymous said...

LMAO 3:48 Agreed!

Anonymous said...

How is the fit on the scuba hoodies? I'm a 4 across the board in everything, except my defines are size 6. Not sure if I should size up on the scuba, or stick with my 4.

Anonymous said...

I like everything from the tunic running outfit, except the tunic! But I want that new running hat, the blue bra peeking out and those indigo thighs.

Anonymous said...

Awesome up load for me as far as cute stuff, but the prices are crazy for the items I want...I actually love the running tunic! But $88? No way.
And I personally think that green should've been called Kermit the Frog :) Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Kermit, but not in my clothing choices, not for me.
I'm tempted by the Catch Me Tank, but am unsure about the sizing so I will wait for reviews. I really like the new white NLT, tempted but didn't buy yet.
Only thing I've picked up so far is that gorgeous Energy Bra in Currant...didn't want that to sell out on me :)

Jamie Barba said...

Nothing for me yet. I loved some of the pieces, but I'm visiting the La Jolla store tomorrow, so I'll see what they have there first. I love the new colors of Dart & Dash & am hoping the have both. Those are my new fave running shorts; once I get them on, they just stay in place! I just picked up my first pair of reverse grooves on Friday at the South Coast Plaza store & haven't worn them yet, so I can't compare yet, but I think the D&D are amazing. Speaking of South Coast, I have a whole review of that trip, but I've been at a fitness convention/on vacay with the fam & haven't gotten around to writing it yet.

Jamie Barba said...

Oh, and does the light as air skirt look decidedly like the Marathon skirt to anyone else, or is that just me? I'll try it on if they have it in store. Maybe they listened to feedback? But I'm not holding my breath!

Focus said...

Addicts- you guys are killing me, I haven't laughed this hard, this early in the morning in a long time. Thank you!

For me, currant WUC's and currant headband. Potapotie is interesting, but I'm a fair skinned blonde. Also trying to stay focused on that blue that may, or may not come.

Anonymous said...

I agree that I'd like to see more regular length CRBs. OT, did anyone notice the color of the mat strap in the picture of the currant scuba jacket? It looked teal to me.

I really want the green scuba but I don't need a scuba. PLEASE GOD LET MORE THINGS COME IN THAT GREEN :(

Anonymous said...

the currant zipper is not coloured like the others on the website photos, its true to what they put on it some brass zipper. others all have coloured zippers, wonder whats up with that?

I'm wondering if the straps of the catch me tank will have the same problems as the bra...adjust me?...with the straps that will not stay done up?? would love a fit/performance review from someone who has tried. i do not have an adjust me, going off web reviews.

i didn't order anything. i like the denim but find it too heavy myself for working out, my last pair of coloured crops did not pass the bend over test so no trouble there.

nothing for me, again.

Anonymous said...

Has "portapotie" come out before, in anything other than a scuba? I would love a green CRB...

lexa said...

Really tempted by the green and new purple scubas, but for now I will pass. Was hoping for some new colors in CRBs.

Anonymous said...

whoops...meant not a problem to pass on the new items. wording horrible with 'no trouble there'.

Anonymous said...

Pow pink turbos, green scuba, and currant energy bra! Loved this upload!

Anonymous said...

They restocked the currant scuba too.

Anonymous said...

I am tempted by the Ray WU crops...but I'm not sure I want a "glow in the dark" CT!!! YIKES!! CT...from 5 miles away.... Whoa!!!

Anonymous said...

ugh...those current WU are killing me.....im counting the many reasons to just say no......and it's working.

Liz8 said...

Is portapottie the green in the SeaWheeze gear? Maybe the name is a nod to the realities of a race? I like the color- hope we see more!

Sourkraut said...

Gotta agree with the fugly description for the most part. I do like the new green even though the name is a bit questionable. But hey, I have a sense of humor so I can go with it. It's a bit too bright for me to wear the Scuba but I can see myself picking up a tank or another pair of Sun Sprinter shorts if they come out with those. Even if we weren't talking about Lulu I'd be leery of buying those bright red pants since red's generally a bleeder under the best of circumstances. It's an easy pass for me since I'm not a huge fan of red.

The only thing I bought was the dense purple/power purple Scuba. Gorgeous color! I don't have a Scuba yet and that's exactly the sort of shade I'm looking for. If it seems to have any quality issues I'll head right to the store for a return, though. Out of curiosity, I've seen the dreaded metal zipper mentioned a few times as a flaw on the hoodie. Is there something wrong with the metal zippers or is that just a matter of personal preference? Growing up my mom always lamented that manufacturers were switching over to what she thought were cheaper plastic zippers from the old-fashioned, sturdy metal ones. To me it's a sign of good quality but I'll be sure to check the stitching and seams nonetheless. That said, I notice that some of the Scubas have plastic zippers that more closely match the color of the hoodie, which makes me think they're only using the metal ones when they can't find a match. Again, not the end of the world to me but I can see how it might bother some of you.

Anonymous said...

@ 11:59 PM, no portapotties in Canada are not this green, mostly bright teal blue, or dark dark green and lately mostly orange. @12:21 you are incorrect and @ 3:43 yes you are correct. Man, can't believe we have to make these remarks due to the colour of the scuba. The colour is great, the name is lame. IMO it's a big joke by the designers to name it this since customers are so hung up on the correct name of their LLL...we'll see how often people will declare the real name of this colour and if you do, they've forced you to talk about portapotties.

I would love the colour in a CRB.

Err, everything is pretty ugly, and I agree with LLA's title for the upload. The only things that are OK are the WU or some crops...nice to see some more versions of the Run F&F crop.

wth with the Sun Runner Hybrid pullover and the 'gills', just terribly hideous! Run Light as Air Sleeveless - ick! Sorry in advance if I offend anyone...I know someone else out there will really dig these items.

It's all good, I'll save my money. Maybe there will be some great stuff (sneak peeks seen here) at SeaWheeze that won't cost a cajillion dollars.

Anonymous said...

Hhaha! I know I'm correct on the color of Portapoties in Canada. We have a new subdivision going in...at the end of our street and we have two of those bright blue beauties just sitting there!! LOL.... What an eye sore! Hhahaa.... Poor Lulu...must be going through "rough times" to come up with such horrible names for colors. What will be next??? "Kiss my a$$ red?!" LOL... Or " purple CT?!" Oh gawd, please no....

Anonymous said...

Australian upload has happened- Currant Power Y, Trinity bra, and WUC waistband in quilt 11. Blazer CRB and AWUC waistband. Unity pullover in black- looks like a v neck LS Wandering yogi tank made of tencel/boo. WMTM is still not linked from the menu.

Anonymous said...

Got me another scoop me up tank in caspian blue. It's number 4, can't get enough of these! Already have pow pink, deep indigo and pop orange. I did experience a bleeding issue with pow pink even after I had washed it before using it. There was some color transfer onto my towel that I was laying on during the end of my hot yoga class, but it washed right out. No issues with the other colors though.

Anonymous said...

@ Sourkrat 5:31 AM, think the zipper thing is a matter of personal preference. From the comments I've read here, I think people want their stuff to look pretty and they think the old school zipper takes away from that? Although I think the main discontentment no the current scuba was that the colour was faded and not deep red in some people's shipments. I agree with you on the heavy duty old school zipper (which I think could look awesome with the right colour, esp. a deep red/current scuba), as my mom was a seamstress as well and was all about quality.

I'd love another scuba but will not give in to the new colour gotta have craze...I have a regular scuba, one special edition (pleated tape in ghost) and a SE cuddle up (lace & ruffle details in black) so am quite set. And too many other jackets. I only have so much time to wear any/all of this!

Anonymous said...

Oh and *Crikey*- could that be a red denim slub in the WUC quilt 11? I'm dreaming of outerwear already.

Got current power y and both unity pullovers from Aus site. Pricey but I don't care. Loved them straight away! We seem to get better things quicker recently!

Anonymous said...

@ Liz8, good thinking, I bet you are right....the name is related to the Sea Wheeze. Some people are so quick to jump on LLL and blame them for mocking their customers! It's like they are just looking for reasons to be angry or start drama! I for one loved this upload and still love LLL, I think they will get back on track with the quality issues. Some of the things people complain about are quite ridiculous, you can't possibly please everyone all the time. LLL still thinks outside the box with design, it's what people say they like and want, but when something really creative comes out everyone complains that they just want CRBs! Too funny...

Anonymous said...

Ok I went wunder under crazy this week... i loved this upload! I got the black denim/lilac WU, currant WUCs, black and quilted waistband WUs, and then I also got the caspian blue scoop me up and white/grey NLT. ouch on the wallet....

Also, i talked to a guest educator this morning who was SO nice and when she asked me about my feelings towards LLL, i voiced some of my concerns about declining quality. Her reply was very understanding and seemed to hint at the fact that they know that there are many unwanted problems in quality but that they are trying to figure out the problem but that it is a little more complicated than we may think. anyways, i hope they just figure it out soon but at least they know there is one!!

on a side note, she also said she LOVED the run:light as air tank even though it looked wierd on line.

cant wait for my currant WUCs!!!

Anonymous said...

I love the upload today. Got the caspian scuba (Ive wanted a pale blue scuba forever), caspian NLT, currant WUs (I see myself wearing these with sweater dresses all winter long), currant energy bra (actually holds up the girls!), and the denim slub WUs (again for street wear). If they release a new teal/blue I am in trouble. Also love the portapottie color, but think it would be better in a lighter jacket. And I totally agree that they are messing with / making fun of the customer with that name.

Anonymous said...

lululemon differentiates itself from other athletic wear manufacturers in different ways. IMO the fact that lululemon offers both PASTEL colors (caspian blue, lilac, blush quartz, rose quartz, pig pink, etc) and VIBRANT RICH colors (currant, bruised berry, pigment blue, etc) is a prominent way in which they rise above their competitors. Competing brands saturate the market with bright colors in odd combinations, but almost never produce the much desired (by many such as myself) PASTEL and VIBRANT RICH colors. Keep it up lululemon!!

Anonymous said...

As expected currant wu completely gone by 6 AM. I think I'm skipping the online madness for a while. They just lost a sale. Very odd selling concept.

Anonymous said...

I'm totally with you, lngenue! I can't get over the name. So many ladies in this blog have been looking forward to a true green. Finally, here it is...and they name it after a toilet?!!! How about shamrock, Kelly green, or even leprechaun? But portapotie? I can't say it without smirking.

yogibabe said...

@Jamie Barba
OT-Did you get to try the "Dress Of Many Covers" yet? I did my try outs last Fri and wrote a review of it , along with the Amuse Me pants (Fri post). Let me know. :)

Saw the currant Power Y in the Oz site...sigh...hope it will get here soon. Also, would love the portapottie in Power Y or CRB. And somehow I thought the portapottie is an older color. I could have sworn that the name is familiar (how could you forget!). Older as in at least five years or older. Can anyone confirm?

Anyhoo... look like lots of peeps had fun ordering the new stuff!

Anonymous said...

@July 24, 2012 5:31 AM

I agree with this poster about all the silly zipper complaints. Metal zippers are more durable than synthetic zippers and look perfectly fine. If you want to talk personal preference, then that's one thing, but you can't get everything your way since others have different preferences. If you don't like it, then don't buy it. Plain and simple ladies.

Sourkraut said...

@Anon 5:44 AM - Thanks! I'm feeling better about my Scuba purchase now. Although you have made me rather jealous of your lacy version. I think I'll be in trouble if they come out with something like that this year. I'm a sucker for cute jackets and cold-weather gear.

Sourkraut said...

@Liz8 - Great call! I bet you're absolutely right.

@Anon 6:00 AM - I couldn't agree more. Why on earth would a company want to make fun of their customers? Alright, working in customer service I understand making fun of some of them in private but publicly? Come on! Let's not look for offense when none is intended.

yogibabe said...

The only issue I have with the metal zippers is that some are very sharp and cuts. Ouch! Unless they are the smoother, "glide like silk metal zipper" of example, the Yogi Dance jacket of a while ago (those are the best metal zipper, imo), I'll have to have a look-see before deciding. Yup, you're right! Personal choices! :)

I just thought that the name "portapottie" is a riot, and take no offense! ;) Typical of lulu to be tongue in cheek in regard to matters that may produce a chuckle! Very dry sense of humor!

Anonymous said...

"since customers are so hung up on the correct name of their LLL...we'll see how often people will declare the real name of this colour" ...Hopefully better than "current"(an adjective) for "currant" (a red fruit)!
Wondering if people are searching ebay for "current scubas"...

M.E.L.R. said...

I love that portapotty green!!! That is exactly the green I wanted. The name is very unfortunate but I can get over that. Hopefully there will be more than a scuba because I can't justify ordering another!

Anonymous said...

I really want the Tunic and the Light As Air tank...I know some people don't like the style, but I have been looking for airy tops to run in and the added bonus for me is a little bum coverage. That said, $88 for a top to run in is a bit high for my budget. It's hard for me to justify, but LLL is the only one I can find coming out with these innovative designs. I get so hot when running and can not deal with a tight top for that reason...I get seriously claustrophobic! So, most likely I'm going to pick up the tank bc it's less money. Any one tried it on yet?

RunItMyWay said...

I love reading the comments on here - always entertaining :-P

I don't really get LLL's weird colour naming.. Portapottie, really? That does nothing to make the colour more attractive (though it is a pretty colour!) Remember the colour flush? And what I think is the all-time worst, SCAB? Ick, where do they get these names?!

yogibabe said...

LLA, Saw that Power Purple L/S Swiftly at SB store last friday. At least the color looks the same (very pretty purple for a Swiftly-as colors on the swiftlies usually tend to have a "wash out" effect) but I did not check the color code on the tag. I was too busy trying other stuff and was not in the market for a L/S Swiftly. Maybe someone else can confirm?

Anonymous said...

I'd take an unfortunate color name over low quality items any day. If you don't like the name you can simply tell anyone who asks that it's green. :-)

H.W. said...

Anon@6:13- I think the problem is that they had the wrong picture on the site that didn't reflect what the scuba really looked like and when people recieved it they were unhappy. The "don't like it, don't buy it" only works if you are sent what is pictured.
Also I think people are talking personal preference AND just letting people out there know what to expect. I personally find that kind of review helpful.

Focus said...

Omg!!!! I love that unity pullover!!! Hope that hits the US at some point.

Anonymous said...

I think the dumb names like "portapottie" is a sign of how young the design team is, do they have no one with a little maturity and sense overseeing them.

Anonymous said...

I bought the caspian blue NLT and scuba, as well as the power purple run: catch me tank. I love the power purple color. Hoping for a define in it!

Anonymous said...

I really hope they use portapotie green for more than just a couple items like they did with treefrog! i hate scubas and crbs! I would love portapotie sun sprinter shorts as long as they don't unravel at the seams like my black pair did.
it's such a beautiful colour!

Anonymous said...

I want that Unity Pullover! Anyone care to guess how much it would be in USD? Considering the markup AU items unfortunately gets. I'm thinking USD108, hoping I'm wrong.

Anonymous said...

loving all the new stuff on the aussie upload...the unity pullover is AWESOME, LOVE the fall 12 quilt 11 waistband colors, the power y in currant...wahhhh! i hope these items come to the u.s. soon :-)

Anonymous said...

Just the Indigo/Mirage Run: Dart and Dash shorts for me. I already have them in the plain black and think they are a great run short. Tempted by the new Run Catch Me tank but couldn't decide on the color and want to see the fit in a store.

So I need some advice--these are my second pair of bottoms with the Indigo/Mirage print (first was Sun Sprinters), but now I'm worrying that I don't have enough tops that match well with it! I don't love pow pink (I know, just a little too Barbie for me!), so any other suggestions for colors would be great. I've been rocking porcelain, grey (black), and white so far, but want a little variation!

Anonymous said...

anon 6:53, i'd say your guess is probably close, you know it's going to be over $100 for sure...

Fed Ex just delivered the ls currant swiftly that I ordered last week. I don't see the orange tone that I remembered from last year. I put it next to the Sea Wheeze bag I got last week and it looks like a heathered version of that red. Maybe my lighting is wonky. I do like the color. I already happened to be wearing my black ebb & flows with a pow CRB, it didn't look bad layered together.

Sandra said...

OMG! I'm so envious of the CRBs on the Aussie upload! I want the menthol, dazzling orange, and heathered flash.

The Unity pullover's super cute! But it's basically just a sweatshirt like the Meditate pullover, right? Couldn't we expect it to be closer to the $88 price of that?

@Anon 6:59 -- I've been trying to figure that out too. I'm thinking Caspian Blue might look nice. I've tried my crops on with a concord grape tank I have and it looked nice. Porcelain's a great idea! I have one tank in that so will give that combo a try.

Anonymous said...

WOW!!! Aussie prices are INSANE!!!!!! Crazzzzzy....

MonkeyGirl said...

@Sourkraut, I have one scuba with a metal zipper. I don't like it because that sucker is sharp! I cut my finger on it! The other reason I don't like it, and a complaint I've heard from others, is that the metal zipper can catch and pull your tank that's on under it.

I bought nothing this upload, as I mentioned before, waiting for good quality reports before returning. I do love the portapottie color. While I don't need another scuba, I think it would be wonderful for Fall- if it wasn't for quality concerns I'd have most likely gotten it.

Anonymous said...

there was also an upload on the GAP website and some nice stuff uploaded. Also, 20%off today. lulu never offers anything for its customers loyalty....

Anonymous said...

Maybe this new version of currant is a little different from 2011 color. I wish I knew someone with last year's swiftly so I could compare the colors.

Anonymous said...

I have to say, I've been coming to this blog first on Tuesday morning before the actual lululemon site!! I love all the comments here, reviews, and debates. I love the differing opinions and love a good debate (even it's over something so shallow as our lulu addictions!!!). Oh yeah, and I didn't buy anything this week. Nothing too special, plus already dropped too much money at Nordstrom!

MonkeyGirl said...

Maybe I should have gotten the currant WU's- could wear it with my currant scuba (SO glad I got mine in the last batch, even though I had to size up- beautiful color).

Currant scuba an currant wu's-Voila- instant elf costume for December!

Funny you! About the portapotie, I have not seen that color here in the US. The name looks French. I'm kidding about this analogy.
Im Not sure if this scuba will do for my daughter's school color. Theirs is darker but I also bought caspian blue (so sweet) just in case. I like them both for me but I'll let her pick.

Pink Peony 4 said...

They often do. This is kind of the starting point. There usually are many scubas. I have not bought any for me but I have seen different patterns. They even had removable sleeves, ruffles and sparkly stuff added. Historically scubas and defines are pretty prolific around this time specially.

Anonymous said...

I love the new green, likely gone soon! I ordered a new tank (purple) but have heard the fit might be funky. I'll have to check it out. Some of the upload stuff is rather ugly. I was hoping for some new Gather and Crow crops (my fave) and CRBs!

Anonymous said...

WTF, the colored WU crops are always gone by the time i get up 7am pst. I hate the way they do their uploads for the east coast ebay retailers to buy them out! makes me want to stop even looking!!! Super Lame!!! Porta Potie come on design team quit hitting the gonge before work please! Pottie humor is only funny to you i guess! Its gross to me! And the tanks are lame except for the scoop me up in caspian and scuba in the same color! and why are they reviving all these colors all the time? They should do a bright tomato red instead alot of other retailers have that color so the dye is out there and it is so much prettier than flat current!!!!! My opinion but i think i could be an asset to that design team where color and style are conserned!! Ha ha ha ha ;)!!!!

Please help! I LOVE the currant Energy bra and have heard such good things about this bra but I am stuck on te sizing. I used to think I wore a 36D, recently got resized at Intimacy and they told me I should be a 32DD. I think they were right but I feel most comfortable in a 34D. ANYWAY... I can't believe that I would actually order a 6 in this bra. What size would you all recommend?

Pink Peony 4 said...

Aquamarine is minty green and really light. Caspian blue is powder blue but faded looking. One is green the other blue. Both very pale but distinctly different.

I want the pack your practice backpack that was uploaded last week,...but the only review up is a "suggestion," NOT an actual review! Like 9 people have voted it as "not helpful" and I've even flagged it and Lulu still hasnt taken it down.

Anonymous said...

portapottie is NOT a new color...it was released back in 2008. it was updated to kinky green and then savage green for 2009 and 2010, respectively. makes me wonder if their "new" product designs are going to retro back to 2008-2009 as well.
didn't buy anything...i have BY and Zella enroute; trying something different. also, athleta is having their semi-annual 60% off sale so i'll be spending my $$$ elsewhere.

Pink Peony 4 said...

I'm like you. I take a 4 in scubas. They are roomier than defines.

Got a currant energy bra and scuba, and the caspian NLT.
The sun runner hybrid pullover has got to be the ugliest thing Lulu has come out with in a while. It makes the model wearing it look like half human-half reptile, yikes!

Anonymous said...

@Jessica

Hi! I am a 34D and wear a 6 in all lulu bras, including the energy bra which is one of my faves (ordered it today!). You sound like you might be like me -- fairly narrow in the ribcage but still busty. I find the 8s to be too big in the band area. Hope this helps!

I just dropped $450 on pair of Frye Boots, and told my husband they were $200.... LOL.... He said, I bet they were $400...because any price you tell me, I usually figure I need to double and triple the actual amount you tell me. LOL... HAHA! Guess he knows me well.... When he asks me how much a lulu top was, I tell him it was on sale for $29... LOL.... He thinks "stay at home moms" shouldn't be shopping....I beg to differ! :)

Anonymous said...

I wish.....they would make Flow Y bras up to size 12!!!! I buy size 10 and it makes me look like I have the dreaded "uni-boob." No offense, but name portapotie....makes me think of crap.... YUCK!

Susan Alyse said...

Can someone help me determine size for the Scuba? I wear a consistent size 4 across the board (CRBs, swiftlys, bras, crops, pants), except in the define jacket. I wear a 6 in the define. I'm about to order the scuba, but have no idea what size to order because I've never tried one on. The reviews are so conflicting. Some say they are very true to size, others say to size up. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Anonymous said...

I'm a 38 DD and I wear size 6 in all Lulu jackets...sometimes even the odd size 4. I always buy size 8 in scubas. hope that helps. :) Size 6 was too tight for my boobies!

Anonymous said...

All of my tops are size 6, with the exception of the Define, which I size up to an 8 in. The Scuba in size 6 fits me perfectly. It felt a little snug at first, but the cotton tends to stretch out after a few minutes of wear. I would not size up. Hope that helps!

Pink Peony 4 said...

@July 24, 2012 7:57 AM

Scubas are TTS (true to size) for me. I always size up one size for Defines. So my best guess for you would be to wear your usual size in a Scuba (one size down from your Define.)

I see that the post after yours makes a different suggestion, but most people do not have a size 38DD chest. If you do, then follow her advice, otherwise Scubas are TTS for most people :)

Congrats Yogibabe and all for your currant Wu!! Hope they are fabu quality for you!!!! I didn't buy anything. I'm waitin to see the rest of the new arrivals uploading in splits 59. I'm In love with the ginger 3/4 black/ black lame'. The portopotie cracked me UP!!! How hilarious. It is a pretty green. I wasn't interested in currant wus because I have some red leggies already. Wish there weren't bleed issues or I would have gotten the pink turbos

I hate to be a Debbie downer, but I'm still upset over the new fit of both the flow y bra and power y tank. The power y feels so much different than the older versions... Thin and cheap. Do you think it is lighter weight due to summer? So hoping for the toilet color in a crb!

Susan Alyse said...

Thank you! I'm 5'4", 34B, 120#. Since I don't have much to brag about going on up top, I think I'll stick with my usual size 4. That feedback was very helpful as I was about to size up for sure. Thanks all! Now, if only I would have hit the button sooner on those currant WU crops.

Not sure if this if this is close to Savage Green - it seems like it has more yellow in it. I have a Savage green remix (older) and the color looks very different. I love Savage. But it could be my computer.

Anonymous said...

I have a good sense of humour but the Portapottie thing is simply not funny. And the color is ugly and juvenile.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 2:27 am - LOL the running burqa. I was thinking that this morning. Lulu grew their reputation for pants that make your ass look great. Most women I've seen wearing lulu have awesome figures and buy lulu to really showcase that fact. I don't really think the typical lulu customer wants to cover their ass up, especially during exercise, when it's just going to get in the way. Sure, I wouldn't mind a cover for heading to the grocery store after the gym but I know I don't want all that extra material when I'm running. For me, the whole Swiftly series - tank, SS, and LS - are my go-to running tops - functional and flattering.

OT, but I'm ready to start buying pants. What is the story on the will pants?

I ordered the caspian Swiftly tank. I really wanted something in this color. Looks great on tan skin in the summer. In fact, I would love it in a CRB racing length. I wonder if lulu will make any more colors in the CRB racing length?

Thinking I would like the upcoming ziggy caspian print WU. Hopefully it won't have the triangle gusset.

Also noticed a currant Power Y on the Australian site. Google "lululemon Australia" for the website.

I'm on the fence on the Caspian Blue Scoop Me Up tank and as I was checking out the website this morning I noticed all the other colors in the Scoop Me Up are gone. AZ Lulu Fan said...

Oops, they're gone on the Canadian site. Still available in all colors on the U.S. site.

Sourkraut- I thought the reason people had a problem with metal zippers is because it snagged delicate lulu fabric, especially swiftlys. Metal zippers are definitely better quality, last longer etc. but some lulu fabric is just too delicate to wear under it.

@LLA, actually, I DO want a little backside coverage even though I'm in very good shape. Maybe you're not quite there yet, but at 39, going on 40, some of us feel self conscious heading out for a run in front of her teenage son and friends in skin tight leggings...it's kind of a modesty issue for me, not a matter of showing my arse off. I just want cute functional clothing to work out in, not something that is overly sexy or revealing. Some of the crops are revealing and overly sexy on me bc I'm pretty curvy.
THANK YOU Lululemon for selling clothing that suits a wide variety of body shapes, ages and ideals :)

FYI - Lulu's issued their official response to the quality issues on Facebook. Check it out. For me the good news is that they're finally acknowledging there's a problem with bleeding. They're still making it out to be isolated incidents but I hope this means that anyone who comes in with any dye-related problem will have the issue resolved. I'd be curious to hear if any of you have had trouble returning damaged clothing like that in the past few weeks since this became a widespread and well-known problem. It's also good to hear that they're at least working on this now that they're admitting there's a problem. It's good to keep the customers in the loop, especially as the damaged gear stories are becoming more and more prevalent. No mention of bad stitching, though. Guess they're still trying to keep that hush-hush.

That sounds like such a pretty wedding Minda! I really love this green, just not in a Scuba for some reason. I think it would look great on other people, just don;t think I'd wear it very often. I would love a CRB or Daily tank in this color though.

Ugh! Trouble posting- hope I don't get reposts!

Anyways- as I was saying..

Thanks for the heads up Sourkraut! Not really loving the letter, but it is better than nothing. I really hope they fix the quality issues. It is more than just bleeding. The newer lulu does not hold a candle to the older stuff.

I will gladly come back if they can get back to that place of superior quality that made the brand so exceptional.

Anonymous said...

@sourkraut

Thank you so much for posting the link. IMO I think they are sincere. I have all of the colors that are bleeders, but have yet to have one problem with them. So, there are those of us out there that have not experienced bleeding colors.

Poor stitching, sheer WUs, etc. are another story all together. I would appreciate if they could also address those issues.

I dunno.....nice letter if they do what they say they're going to do...... A lot of what Lulu "says" is lip service! And yes you're right.....they didn't even address their bad stitching problems. it's pretty bad when it comes out of the shipping bag and all the stitching is defective. I encountered this with 2 tops I bought online recently. lulu was like, "alright, send the tops back....." They didn't offer to exchange them, or get me new ones, just send them back. LOL.... I dunno, what you think, but in my books, that's very VERY poor customer service. On a positive note....I got my L & S bra in Ray....and absolutely no bleeding issues!!! I washed it with a load of whites and no color transfer!

I'm with the Anon asking, almost begging for ANY input/review/feedback on the Best Practice backpack. I also want it, I'm going to grad school overseas in two months, will be commuting by bike in the small town I'll live, and this backpack seems perfect. BUT I am not in NA and don't want to order it if it is anything less than perfect, in quality terms.

The "review" on the site about it, it someone asjing for the weight of the backpack. What couldn't she just email the GEC for that?!

Please, if any of you who will visit a lulu store today or sometime soon, could please just check it out and report on here on quality, size, weight and look, I would really greatly appreciate it!!

Anonymous said...

Just read the letter on FB too, that's nice that they're working on fixing the color bleeding issues but what about the rest of the quality problems they've been having? I've had to return 2 pairs of wunder unders in the past 2 months because they were see through with me just standing, not even bending over. Is it just me or is this unacceptable? Are yoga pants supposed to be like this? Were lulu pants like this in the past? I also showed someone else the seams in my Pow Pink define and they told me to return it, they said even though they're not unraveling now with the kind of stitch they used it will someday. Frustrating...

I haven't pulled the trigger yet but.......no one has mentioned anything about the discover crops??? I know, I know there are currant WU on the upload so that trumps every other crop, right!!!;))). I'm debating those right now. I got the caspian NLT though. I've been waiting on a cute NLT, don't have one. I just have an old let it loose tank and love it. The NLT seems similar. I REALLY REALLY, I mean, REALLY want one of those scubas. I LOVE the portapottie and purple and caspian. I LOVE them all. I only have one, a currant one from last year. But I live in FL and hardly wear it. It is soooo warm and cozy but I didn't get much use out of it last year. They rock though!! UGH..... I also really want to see something else in portapottie just like many of you. And that purple, a beautiful color!! I am soooo excited for the upcoming months. The color palette for August rocks! Yay.

The store at Tyson's has the portapottie scubas already. I gave them a looksy because at first glance, they looked like velour, they are made very soft, more soft than my white scuba from a couple years ago. They re slightly more fitted in a flattery way. The awesome fit and feel had me seriously considering buying the thing,,,,,,i did! Tthe only counterpoint may be that the color is better on younger ladies?Sometimes appropriateness digs a hole.

Anonymous said...

Has anyone noticed a fabric change in the new NLTs? I just got the Pow Pink NLT (grrrr a seam is unraveling and I have yet to wear it!) and the 'circle mesh' material feels much thinner and delicate than my other two NLTs (blurred blossoms and a black from earlier this year). I don't save my tags but this material has the same feel as the "hot but not" tank. The NLTs are my favorite and have held up so well with frequent wear, I'm just afraid this Pow Pink one is going to fall apart (which... it already has I guess...) Or am I just crazy?! :)

Backpack update, I just spoke with a super helpful GEC educator and she told me that no stores got the backpack last week and to check in with stores later this week.

She also went and grabbed one so that walk/talk me through the features. She said it is, in fact on the heavier side, not unlike most Lulu bags. She also indicated that it could easily hold a 14" laptop, an I-pad, a pair of shoes and some clothes (which didn't include exterior pockets). I was most concerned about the potential for any rough edges to snag any of my Lulu clothes, but after feeling around, she didn't see any reason for concern. She said it is as long as the pack your practice bag, so it is not small bag. I'm dying to get this bag, but 128.00?? Still not sure.

I noticed the same thing when I checked out the NLTs this weekend. The Caspian Blue is pretty and a color I don't have yet so I was sure I was going to add it to my collection, but the fabric was too soft and delicate. Not as sturdy as the NLTs I bought last year.

AZ Lulu Fan said...

There was another set of NLTs that were soft and stretchy. The 2011 aruba and flush releases. I returned the aruba because the Luon was not thick and compressive enough to work as a bra for me. I can't remember if the circle mesh was more delicate also, but the recent thinner, stretchier Luon feels just like the Luon used in the aruba NLT.

Sourkraut said...

AZ Lulu Fan, you might be right about the fabric change. I have one NLT in concord grape so was thrilled when they just came out with more. Only when I tried on the Caspian blue version it didn't seem as supportive in the bra. I thought it was my imagination or something hormonal going on with me but it was enough to make me pass on it. Well, that and the realization that as much as I like the color darker colors are more flattering on me. Has anyone else had the same experience with the new versions?

Anon 2:35, I have many many scubas. I have a whole rack of them in our walk in. Luckily my husband doesn’t know how expensive they are or he’d have a fit. I also ordered the green scuba. I almost didn’t. I made myself get up and stand in front of all my scubas but because a lot of my scubas are quite dark coloured except for two (tango red and rubber ducky) I decided to go for it. I haven’t ordered anything from lulu in months and I only have one savage green item (a sunblocker) that I love and I don’t know why I didn’t get anything else when it was released.

As for NLTs, I can’t wore them. I’m a size 4 usually across the board with tops but I need a size 2 for the NLTs and they don’t make them. I did buy the dazzling orange and ultraviolet NLT but I ended up taking it back. I loved the way the colours went but I felt like I was swimming in it!

I love the Ebb & Flow crops. They're the perfect length, breathable, and hide mummy tummy (like spanx). You can use them for yoga, running, zumba, everything. Mine are navy and weren't see through like some gals have reported. Remember to do the bend over test before ripping out the tags in case you need to return them.

Anonymous said...

I hope that's true about the gusset on the Currant WU like Anon 3.45pm says. The fb wall is saying that it is a triangle gusset. Oh, and do you have to take back faulty items withing the two week return window? I though it wasn't so, because they can't resell it.

@ Anon 3:18 pm - Sorry to hear about your headaches with the Pow Pink purchases. Like Gina, my Pow Pink CRB was also made in Canada and hasn't had any bleeding or streaking issues. My Flash and Paris Pink Cross My Heart bras (made from luxtreme) on the other hand have that same purple streaking you described no matter how many times I've washed, presoaked, pretreated, etc. They're definitely going back to the store this weekend since they're bleeders that just won't stop. Love the colors, but don't want the dyes and chemicals bleeding on to my skin and other clothing.

anonymous me said...

Random FYI fit note - I tried on the currant WUs (full length, not the crops) in store today. Firstm despite the website still listing full length WUs as having diamond gusset, they are triangular gusset.

They are definitly on the sheer side, as in when I was wearing my normal TTS, you could see the rip out tag in the bend over test, so I'd suggest to size up if you don't usually wear a long top over them. Since I do I went home with my TTS to prevent any baggy knee issue, but I still may return them for the size up. Besides that, it was a total impulse purchase, so I'll have to think on it.

If I owe money that's different but I never go over budget. I think I'm being good. My husband is a rancher and has really no clue about Lululemon except he is also a businessman who is savvy enough to buy stocks awhile back. I just stay out of that side and go on with what I know best. Shop and have fun with my friends. I am more worried that my children will know how much I spend on me and how expensive the stuff that I buy, etc. I always felt like we should teach our children to be good stewards of their money until they have enough to buy what they can pay cash for. No debts in this household! Enjoy your kids and keep feeling good... in anyway you can.

I stopped by the Bellevue store in WA and purchase the new purple run catch me tank; it is made in China but the tank is sturdy and very cute on! I almost got a pink NLT but the seams on the bra part seemed kinda crummy... Like it would come apart so as much as I wanted it based on comfort and color, I passed :(
I also ran across a grey WUC with a diamond gusset but they were older cause I could see the price increase sticker on the label BUT I found a black pair of WUCs that felt thicker and when I tried them on were NOT see through and when I looked on the rip tag I found that they were made in the USA! SCORE!!!! These had the triangle gusset but oldly enough did NOT cause CT!

Can anyone help me out with the support level of the energy bra. I wish lulu would bring the cross my heart bra back. I didn't realize how great the bra was until I tried to find a replacement! Ugh!

@Minda
I prefer the Melissa Button Back Zip:

Prefer the top of this than the Melissa button. Also the back zip is always a help. Not good with the pull on types. My preference, anyway.... Love Frye!!!

My lulu purchases from today has shipped! Yay! Will see them on Thursday. ;D

Finally, a beautiful TRUE green!!! Lulu... You *could* lure me back if you make some great designs in this color. Let's see some good classics in this color, like a CRB, maybe the original Scoop Neck, oh! or a PUL!?! And what about a lightweight hoodie??? Why haven't we seen any of those this year???

@Minda

Thx! I took my inspiration from your cute profile pics. Doubtful that I'll be able to get one of my cats (or kids) in the pic like your adorable pup though. Keep calm and Lulu on!
