Upload!

Some goodies people have been waiting for showed up tonight. I ordered the Pow Pink Define. Now I need to figure out what to see to be able to keep this. ;-)  What did you all order tonight?

All three new Run Bound bra, Ray Lift & Separate, Bruised Berry WU, Tall Groove shorts in Deep Indigo and Pop Orange Lucky Luon headband. No new CRB's :-(

Pow pink swiftly v-neck and Inspire crops.

Ordered a big fat NOTHING!!! For the first time there is not a single thing in this upload that appeals to me. In fact I think perhaps the Nada Jacket, Split Singlet and Team Spirit Top could be the ugliest things Lulu designers have ever come up with! If they don't even flatter the gorgeous models what on earth will they possibly look like on the rest of us?!? My money is safe :)

LoveLulu said...

Nothing for me, 2nd week with nothing from LLL.

Slightly tempted by the Scoop Me Up in mirage. And I wish the pow pink/black was a true reversible crop and not just the black band. :(

Anonymous said...

Ordered the Run: Bound Bra (love this bra!) in pow pink and mirage. The pattern distribution will help decide if I keep the mirage one or not. Ordered the Light as Air shorts also in Mirage. Curious about them. They say inseam is 2 inches - and speeds have a 2.5 inch inseam so the Light as Air might be REALLY short and might go back.

Anon @ 11:36 - you guys get totally different stuff than us (Canada). I would LOVE a lift and separate in Ray. We don't even have the lift and separate available anymore. Nor the BB Swiftly SL that mysteriously disappeared one day even though all sizes were still available. (I emailed GEC and they told me it sold out. Hmmm).

Anonymous said...

Where is the Hot But Not Tank in Pow Pink??? So bummed they didn't upload one.... :(

Cari H said...

Pow pink define for me too. I just cannot resist pow- it is such a great color.

Sandra said...

I got the pow pink define too but I'm hoping I don't have issues with it... And I ordered the mirage slipless head band, just seems like it would go with everything.

Anonymous said...

Yeah and how are those Pow Pink WU reversible? I mean, if you go by their logic, ALL of the WU ever sold are reversible...
My old luxtreme crops have an angel blue waist and a grey wee stripe on the inside lining the waist, so does that mean they are also reversible? Ahem, no.
Reversible should mean to different colors/sides.

LoveLulu said...

And was really hoping for a purple No Limits tank or any new color actually.

yogibabe said...

Scoop Me Up tank (my new favorite) in pop orange and mirage. :)

BTW, did anybody else notice that the WU crop in mirage has an opposite pattern distribution than the one posted in this blog (pictures from Australia-the one before the "upload" thread)? The one on the website has the mirage pattern from waist and fade to whites down the legs. While the one here has the white on the waist and mirage print down the legs. Hmmm....

LuluAddict said...

@ Lovelulu - Well, we've seen that No Limits in the header so it's coming. There is also a Pow one that was spotted on a website (self or something like that) so we know that is coming, too.

@ cari h - I am definitely a fan of the strong pinks. If Senorita, Kiss, Fruity Tootie, or Razzmatazz made comebacks I'd be in deep doo-doo. For some reason though, lulu loves to bring back the purples over and over again.

Anonymous said...

I think it's going to be tricky buying the mirage WUC online. The photos on the site has the print on top and fading to white while the one modelled by an educator (previous post) has white at top and print at the bottom.

I personally prefer having the print on top and would not be happy getting the other 'version'.

Where is the BB CRB????

Pow define, bound bra in pow pink, headband in club indigo. I did not even spend 200 dollars tonight. How about that? I guess it's because I spent 8 (yes 8) hours hand washing my flash, flash light, pow and pop orange items until my hands felt boiled in hot water. I'm telling you girls, the dye is potent. I soaked and washed and re washed and re soaked I don't know how many times today. I just got tired. The bleeding just never stopped. Flash is especially bad. Pow next. Ray is up there too. You wouldn't think so but oh yes it bled just like the others. I got fed up with it today when I used my cotton slub tee for a cover up and my oldish deep breath in flash and ray bound bra bled through the pale pink shirt. It is about the most ridiculous thing I have ever done. My housekeepers were wondering what I am frantically doing in the sink and the laundry room in my crop and a robe. I told them I need to get rid of the dye and the stain. They have never seen such panic!!! Oh well... That Pow pink define is going to be the death of me.

Amy said...

Pow define. I sized up.... Do you all size up on this jacket?
And also got the indigo inspires.

Anonymous said...

I love all shades of purple, orange and I die for Indigo. So please lll keep it on!!

Anonymous said...

Not sure I'm gonna buy anything this upload. I have a lot of questions about the Light As Air shorts, specifically whether there us nakedseam treatment along the short bottom.

Anonymous said...

OT - but LLL finally replied to that Facebook thread about the sweat pH issue.

Anonymous said...

Ordered the Good Fortune Bag in mirage. It hasn't been well received, but I'm just looking for something to tote my stuff around in without committing to a purse. Fingers crossed for quality issues.

Also, has anyone purchased the WUs in the indigo denim? How do the wear (any pilling)? The foot openings at the bottom are so tight. I wear a size 4 & have slender legs but it's hard to get them on without a struggle.

LuluAddict said...

@ pink Peony 4 - why are you doing everything by hand in the sink? I am just throwing my two bleeder CRBs in the machine and my cold/hot/hot method better work - lol. I hate hand washing with a passion.

Anonymous said...

What do you ladies think of the Run: Inspires? The new colors are tempting, so I'm thinking about pulling the trigger.

Anonymous said...

We're those the diversity wus?

Anonymous said...

Pp define and mirage wu. I'm going to be ticked if they arrive and are all white at the top cause I know they'll be see through. The only reason I ordered them is because they had the design at the top.

Anonymous said...

Viva la Navy Blue ! I love it!
I order the mirage WU crop, Pow Pink Define, the White Define, White turbo shorts, Mirage Scoop me tank, Pow Pink swiftly, Mirage pace skirt, navy sun runner crop, navy groove pants.
I too was hoping for a new No Limits, it's my favorite top for yoga.
I was on the fence about the pink hat, was burned by my last Lulu hat purchase. The pink stripe pace skirt, thinking I should have got it, I like the 2 way stretch skirts more than 4 way.

Unknown said...

got the pow define and BB wu's!! so looking forward to wearing the jacket with everything!!

Anonymous said...

I really want the Fly and Tie and Bound bra in Pow Pink, but I'm just too afraid of bleeding so I'm passing :( I did pick up a Every Yogi Tank in Porcelaine Wee Stripe in WMTM though. Everything else is meh for me...especially that Nada jacket...it just looks like its three sizes too small on everyone, not sure what look they were going for with that one.

Sourkraut said...

Absolutely nothing yet again. In fact, nothing even tempts me a teeny tiny bit. I really hope all the naysayers around here aren't right in proclaiming that this is the end of an era. Unlike the rest of you, I haven't yet built up my Lulu wardrobe!

Anonymous said...

I wasn't going to buy anything this upload but I was so tempted by the Pow Pink Define. It is probably going back, but as a blonde, I can't really turn down anything in hot pink, so we will see. I don't need it, so more than likely it will go back. I also got the pow pink light swiftly v neck. I have been waiting for these v necks to come back for a while! I hope I don't have any bleeders on my hands, especially the Define. I have been lucky so far but after hearing all the stories on here, I'm worried about the Pow Pink.

Sara said...

Are they never going to make running cuffs again? I even forget the correct name it's been so long, like months! Haha, which feels like forever in lulu-land.

Jek said...

Nothing for me. I was tempted by the BB wunder unders, but have a similiar colored pair already. Two weeks nothing.
That's good though. My wallet needed a break.

I'm very unimpressed with the shapeless ugly designs lately. So sad. I always felt so good working out in my lulu.
I have a big collection- so it'll last awhile, but always loved adding new pieces. :(

lexa said...

Just the pink Go the Distance Run Hat for me.

Kristin said...

Nothing. $ saving week for me.

Anonymous said...

deep indigo turbos and the odd-ball restock of the black swan cabin. otherwise, nada.
OT: what is up with the muffin top pics on the latest batch of shorts and crops pictures? don't get me wrong, that model is tight as a drum and always (usually) makes the clothes look awesome but the current pics are NOT flattering. the new run inspire pics and light as air shorts, for instance, look too tight on her. makes me wonder if they changed up their size 6 patterns...goodness knows, the feedback on the run bound bra pretty much says go up two sizes if you want to breath in it. awesome...{shaking my head}

Anonymous said...

anyone know...if the color pop orange bleeds??? Any thoughts!? thanks everyone!! :) XO

Anonymous said...

where are all the cute speed shorts?!?!? starting to go crazy here!!

Anonymous said...

i am getting the navy run inspires, the navy shorty shorts (best shorts ever for any runner by the way), the pink v-neck swiftly and the tie die run bound bra. i want to try out the new run:light as air shorts but they have that laser cut seem which people seem to complain about a lot.

RunLiketheWind said...

I, too, am wanting another pair of sweat cuffs--LL hasn't released any since the menthol version, which seems like months ago. They sell out so fast, why don't they create more?
I got the indigo turbos. Seem really versatile without being standard black.
Reeeeealy wanting metallic silver turbos....

Anonymous said...

Just ordered the scoop me up in pop orange... already have the one in deep indigo. I love this tank! My new go to tank for my hot yoga classes.

Anonymous said...

1 engage bra in pop orange. That's it!! A far cry....from the one year I spent over $30,000 in a year on Lulu. Now I'm lucky...if I spend $50 every 2-3 uploads. avoiding everything in bright colors, staying away from navys....because of everyone's reviews on certain colors--well...I'm just staying away from trouble! :) So far, this year...I have a lot of nice bras! LOL.... I miss the old MRT as I'm not a fan of clingy Luon light.

Anonymous said...

Argh. How is it even possible that the mirage pace setter skirt is sold out in every size but 2 and it's barely 6:00 am???

Anonymous said...

Lift and separate bra in RAY - it's so bright and fun I can't wait! Engage bra in pop orange.

@anon 4:43 - I have the hot but not in pop orange and have had no issues yet, but I do wash it with my old darks so if it did bleed I probably wouldn't have noticed!

Anonymous said...

Why are people still buying so much lulu with all the quality issues? If we continue to buy, lulu will just keep making shoddy products because they don't care as long as their items sell. I won't be buying anything any time soon unless is something that I absolutely can't live without.

Anonymous said...

Thinking about the engage bra but I might just go to the store and try it on first.

I really really want the define in pow pink but its been like 100 degrees so I will not get to wear it for at least a few months... makes it feel like a waste of money.

Also wow what job do you have that you can spend 30,000 a year on lulu? That's like two thirds of my paycheck... Cant wait till my hubby finishes paying off his loans muahahahha

Sourkraut said...

OT - I read their Facebook response to the pH question and they don't make it sound as if they're willing to offer any recompense for those whose clothes change color when they sweat. They carefully worded it as, "we will help you find a product that works for you while you sweat." To me that sounds like the customer's welcome to keep buying more and more items from them until she finds one that doesn't have problems. Very disappointing response. Even if there had been an item I was dying to get this week I would have hesitated after all of the color issue reports here and on Facebook and this unsatisfactory response from the company.

Anonymous said...

Nothing... been waiting months for a good ol' regular power y in a new color.

Anonymous said...

thanks 5:27 am for the info on pop orange! :) @ 5:33am...I'm a stay at home mom, but I buy a lot of Lulu (or I use to) and wear a few times, then get bored, recycle it, by reselling!! I resell it for $10 less than what I paid...depending on the item and the money I get from that...I repurchase! :) Sometimes, if I'm a good girl, the hubby...spoils me with some new Lulu. I can justify every purchase...when I'm at home with a screaming toddler! LOL... thanks for the info...5:27am! :)
Sad there is no L&S bra in ray in Canada! LOOOOVE this bra-- great for big boobs! LOL

Anonymous said...

Anon 4:41 - I noticed that too! I actually thought they changed the cut of the inspires (the waistband looks a little thinner, maybe?), not that she was looking doughy. Either way, it was enough to put me off from buying the navy inspires until I can get to a store myself and try them on (to confirm they fit like normal).

Anonymous said...

New bra uploaded on the Aussie site as well as new colours in the speed shorts and wunder under pants. Tempted to get the shorts...

There have been a lot of positive comments about the GapFit line. What is the difference between GapFit and Athleta? Aren't they both Gap activewear? Thanks!

Sourkraut said...

@Anon 5:59 AM - Athleta was its own successful company before Gap bought it a few years back. It still seems to have some independence as its designs aren't really Gap-like even though the quality you'd expect from Gap is there. I have to say, now that I've discovered Lulu I'm less tempted by Athleta. I mostly go to them for casual wear, not necessarily their workout gear. The designs don't seem as cute and flattering as Lulu's. GapFit seems to be just functional workout gear in moisture-wicking fabrics whereas Athleta offers a lot more.

FINALLY got my Ray Swiftly headband!! Yay!!

Anonymous said...

I am going to sell my Paris Pink Reversible Wunder Unders. They are a little too tight for me now. Size 4, anyone? I wore them literally twice.

Anonymous said...

Any ladies with size D boobs try the lift and seperate? How does that work for you? Does it hurt your neck? Do your boobs pop out while excercising? I am scared of exposing myself at the gym.

Jen said...

Picked up the pow pink v-neck swiftly. That means my pow pink swiftly tank is headed back! Wish we would have received that LS pow swiftly though. Hmph. Tempted by a few other items, but not tempted enough.

Re: Athleta - I was a huge Athleta fan prior to lulu - and still am - though their yoga tanks are made of a much heavier material than my lulu tanks. I have found that pilayo works just as well as luon in crops for hot yoga. For running ... love their Hana run shorts. Not baggy like Nike and not too short like lulu. And lighter than anything!

Katie said...

Wow. This would have been a $620 upload for me. That mirage speed skirt will never work as it has white and indigo undershorts. Indigo in a bleeder and all the white- indigo striped stuff went on md. It will get ruined.

Sourkraut said...

Katie, isn't it sad that the fear of bleeding is keeping us from buying cute stuff? Then again, lots of folks seem to keep buying known bleeders so I doubt Lulu will take notice. I do have a tank with the white & indigo stripes (bought before I knew about any bleeding issues) and have never had any problems with it bleeding in the wash or when I sweat. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones whose pH is suited for Lulu's gear.

I'm a 38DD and had NO CHOICE, but to get the 38D. there was no 38 DD. :( The D, fits just OK and some of my boobs are busting out at the center. It did however, lift and Seperate, which my flow Y bras don't do. it made my boobs under a top...look fantastic!!! For me, it actually made me look like a B cup! just wearing the bra...for 5 minutes, the whole back of my shoulders was RED, from some pulling. I have yet to work out in it, but the boobs stay put for me. I also think...it will be a bra, I will have to break in, to overcome the pulling around the neck. I was quite red, when I took it off...but the metal snap in the front, didn't rub me or hurt me, in any way. other than the tightness a bit around the back of my neck...this bra was sooo comfy!! In fact, I'm sad they didn't upload it on the Canada side in Ray. I sent Lululemon an email...asking them to make 38 DD along with the 38 D.... (Just makes sense, since every other size had DD) I love this bra and want more! :)

Anonymous said...

Oooo anyone notice the pretty tank under the white nada jacket? It looks like a swiftly. Might be that color we saw in the header...looks like really pretty robin's egg blue almost!

Anonymous said...

was the new bow headband not uploaded last night? bummer

And in Engage bra...on Canada side, size 12 in 2 colors...is already gone, so there are a lot of busty women out there, like myself.... So GLAD...they made this one in size 12! :) YAY!!!

Anonymous said...

Thanks Anon 7:13 I am a 36 DD and wanted to hear from a fellow well endowed lady. I think I will try this bra. Many other lulu bras give me massive uniboob and looks like I am wearing a tire around my chest. LOL

Anonymous said...

get a load of the CT on the mirage WU model...pretty sad that the pattern doesn't make it look any better! the diversity wu didn't last long, did they? gone, baby, gone! the new patterned pacesetter skorts are cute but they just scream "bleeder"... no order here, but i have been lucking out with athleta and new balance gear as of late. 30% discount at athleta because i am a trainer. yes, please! and they will take ANYTHING back whether it's been worn, washed, a year old and used every day!

Anonymous said...

yes, that review was for you 6:59am :) OMG...I know....I have 15 Flow Y bras in size 10 and it really looks too small on me! I LOVE the L&S bra...and I also picked up an Engage bra in a size 12 to see how she fits. I soooo hate the uniboob look!! LOL... I was always an A cup....then I hit 27 and became a B and then in my 30's...jumped to a DD! It was so sudden, the change...everyone asked me if I had implants! (They are real) That's what ya get...I guess, when you pray for bigger boobs! LOL... oh well... :)

Anonymous said...

Tempted by the mirage inspires but what's up with that muffin top? And I just bought a pair in snorkel from eBay so I'm set. I want more CRBs and power y in cute colors. Or an energy bra. Other than that, not tempted. I love pop orange but hate the scoop me up, bring back the scoopneck!!

Cassandra is holding LLL's feet to the fire on this pH issue on Facebook. GO CASSANDRA!! LLL's response is half-ass, btw. I find it humorous how condescending the reply is...anyone with a computer can search for this same information. me thinks LLL considers its customers uneducated women. um, i'm going to guess the reason we have the income to afford this clothing is because we have a degree and/or extensive education and have earned our incomes (disposable and otherwise) through the use of said educational background and...um...our brains! FAIL-try again, LLL...

I REALLY wanted some Pow Pink things, but I've been eating a lot of acidic fruit (it's summer y'all!) and I'm afraid my PH is not right. Also, my summer vacation is ending soon, and I won't have the time for all of the special washing. So I passed, and am going to buy some Tori Burch sandals with the money I've saved. Pretty excited by that.

Anonymous said...

Called the GEC and they said the mirage WUs and WUCs come with the print stsrting at the waist OR the ankle. Basically it's a toss up as to what you are going to get.

Anonymous said...

That is totally bizarre that the WU come both white on top and white on bottom... And you don't get to pick on-line!
I didn't order anything because I will be traveling this week and plan to hit an actual store! Yay! Lots of things that I want to see in person. I'll let y'all know what moves enough to purchase.
Someone mentioned a new bra on the aussie site.
So, I had to check it out. It's called the trinity bra and
it really interests me! Since my travels this week are
not to Austrailia I suppose I'll have to wait and order this to try it on, but high neckline is promising for my double D's. Maybe I could wear this under a Power Y?! I've never been able to pull off that tank style because of spillage out of the neckline. We'll see.

Anonymous said...

I was checking out the AU site for that new bra and noticed that the WU pant had a band called 'transition fall 12 quilt 30'... Anyway, I really like the soft light blue color. Is that an old color?

Amy said...

Have u all tried the ALO running pants? Amazon has them 20% off and I just gambled and ordered a pair!!!!

@anon 8:18:
Anon 8:07 here. I saw those WUs too! Love thy waistband! That blue looks like the blue top shown in the white Nada jacket pic that someone mentioned. I'm not sure if it's old or new, but it looks cute with Pop orange and Pow pink! I didn't really dig Porcelain, but this looks promising for me.

Anonymous said...

I got the lift and separate in ray. If it bleeds I will return it even though that is my favorite bra ever. it is so versatile. I love it for sailing and running and just for every day use. I heard the sizing runs smaller that the old lift and separate so I went up from 34c to D.

Anonymous said...

MonkeyGirl, I bought myself some Tory Burch sandals at the beginning of summer, and I haven't regretted it at all. They look beautiful and require no special SWAT-team level maintenance.

Nothing from this upload for me. What I really want at this point is just a nice Power Y or CRB in a pretty non-bleeding color. I have been pining for the Bruised Berry, but I'm worried that it may just never happen for me.

Anonymous said...

I got my Perfect Layer tee last week and wore it to my crossfit WOD last night. It looked really cute, but while doing overhead squats, I checked my reflection in the mirror and was horrified to see dark armpits. I wondered if I forgot to shave - have i been that busy? Got home and checked again and it was the color transfer from the tee. I was wearing black bra and black WU so it was not noticeable anywhere else - but a little sweat in my pits and color transferred in no time! Hopefully it will be better next time after the wash (surprisingly washing did not release much color)! For reference I have the darkest dots print version of the tee.

I would love to have that PP Define (is it still there? lol) but after reading about all the bleeding issues I am skeered...and I also don't own anything else Pow Pink (where are the power Y's? and the Scoop Neck Tanks?)

Also, slightly OT, but I just got a Flash Light Power Y and also a Groove pant with an April Wee are from Space/Flash waistband via Ebay and now I am worried these are both gonna bleed...should I wash both these garments before I workout in them? is the Flash Light having bleeding issues, or just Flash? Any advice? TY...

Anonymous said...

@ anon 9:26. Did you wash it before wear? This can happen with any plain black tee (or any color for that matter) from any company. If you don't wash ahead of time and sweat you'll come out with colored pits. Gross I know but not uncommon with new, unwashed clothing.

HTH.

I have the white and black layer tees and love them. Like butter on the skin :)

Anonymous said...

I bought the energy bra in pow and the pink twisted stripe roll down shorts. I didn't size down in these so I hope they fit!!

Like others I REALLY want more sweat cuffs (not the running key cuffs) in as many colors as possible, I love them!

I got the pow pink optimal tank, heathered pop scoop me up tank, heathered lavender in stride jacket and groove pants in pop orange/pow pink. A bit obsessed with pop orange and pow pink. I may return one of the tanks but we shall see.

Someone asked if the Inspires waistband had changed, and after noticing that obvious muffin top I decided to compare my new ray/dot Inspires to a pair from February 2011. There is indeed something different. The overall rise is about the same, maybe a little shorter in the new ones though it is possible the old ones have just stretched. But the waistband section is indeed thinner is the summer 2012 pair. 2.5" in the ray/dots vs 3.5" in the older ones. I just checked the pair of charcoal/May wee stripes I'm currently wearing and they have the old 3.5" waistband. I haven't noticed any muffin top in any of my Inspires, but I do size up from a size 4 in luon WU/Grooves to size 6 in the luxtreme running crops, so that might have something to do with. My guess is the colored and patterned fabric is more expensive than plain black, so we're getting an inch of cost cutting. Definitely keeps me on the fence about taking the plunge on the new indigo Inspires. But I feel it is important to note that all my Inspires, even the February 2011 ones, have triangle gussets. I think these running crops have always had that, but it is placed much further forward than the new WU gussets, so never had and still don't have camel toe in the Inspires.

Anonymous said...

The Energy Bra was released in Pow Pink?

Anonymous said...

Just poked around the AUS site after reading the comments here... LOVE the new light blue in the WU waistband! Give it to me now!!! LOL :) The trinity bra is intriguing, I'll definitely try it on in the store if it shows up here. The elevation stripe Speeds are pretty darn cute too, another pair that I'd need to try on for the pattern, but man, I'm scared to death of bleeding Pow Pink. I already returned my Pow regular CRB and racing CRB, I've never had a top bleed all over me during a workout and I don't want to start dealing with it now, no matter how bright and cute the color is. I haven't had visible bleeding with my Ray CRB, but I only wear it with black bras and pants. However I did notice discoloration on the Ray luxtreme strip in my Inspire waistband. Not sure if I want to bother exchanging them or not since it is pretty minor and I bet I'd see it in a replacement pair too. But that hint of bleeding made me very sadly returned my Ray Free To Be. I was so excited to have a Ray bra, the straps looked awesome peaking out of colored CRBs and through my white mesh CRB, but I don't want to ruin a bunch of tops I can't get replaced. UGH!!! Maybe some brave Aussie addicts will try the eleveation Speeds and report back on bleeding.

Yuck, good luck to those ordering anything with mirage print. I called this morning to see if it was possible to request getting a print with more pink/orange distribution in the run inspires & scoop neck top I ordered last night but the person who answered my call said no.

Frustrating because she didn't even take my order number to see if it had been shipped out yet and could be modified (which it hasn't, since I haven't gotten an email yet saying it is on its way).

I'll just be really frustrated if I get a pair that has mostly navy/red because the ones with a lot of pink/orange are so pretty ):

@Anon 9:40, I have both flash and pop orange CRB and have had no issues with bleeding at all. I've soaked both and worn both (while sweating and pH-ing all over the place) with narry a color shift. I think these colors are good, at least for now. They seem to have the oranges figured out, now if they could just handle pink and yellow. Oh and purple and indigo and sometimes black. Oh my.

My local store in Bellevue near Seattle WA has the mirage WU; all have white tops and they are see through. The Diversity WU in Mirage hass the printed top.

Also, I tried on Ebb and Flows in indigo and they were not see thru however the black and grey in the same size was COMPLETELY see thru! I couldn't even come out of the fitting room to do the bend test like I had with the indigo. Soooo weird because I heard the black were not see thru and they even felt smoother and stretched more. I purchased the indigo, not gonna let a non see thru pant go... my other work out pants are getting ratty and I need replacements.

Bought the two new pace setters and the pop orange and mirage scoop me up tanks. Wasn't sure how the scoop me up would work, but wore my ray one to cardio and it actually had decent support (32D). Liked it enough to buy two more. Got my perfect layering tee in the mail today. I love it! It's soft and very flattering. Hope they make more in other patterns beside seaside dots!

@Sara / @RunLikeTheWind --- I was totally thinking the same thing about the run cuff/sweat cuff...they are so functional and I made the mistake of looking at the aussie site and they still have 2 up over there so maybe that's why they haven't made any more? Who knows.

Anyways, didn't get anything this upload...the Pow Pink is really happy looking but I don't want to risk a bleeder either.

things are getting downright ugly on Lululemon's FB page...Cassandra is raking LLL over the coals and holding their feet to a very large fire. the string is up to 140 comments! and LLL keeps sinking their own ship on this one. woh boy!

Thanks for the Facebook link. OOOHHHH ! Things are heating up ! It's time for Lulu to be responsible for the poor quality products they are putting out there. I bought the Pow Pink deifne and might be returning it if it's a bleeder. :)

This is getting old....

Anonymous said...

I know bleeding sucks but I also think you guys should prewash and be done with it. Bright colors will bleed so just pre wash and be done. I've had a couple of bleed issues but they never stain and I just prewash my stuff. It happens with a lot of other brands too. Maybe I'm just not sweaty enough.

ordered the pow pink/"silver" inspires in two sizes along with the silver free to be bra. worried about the new muffin top image uploaded with the new inspires. it is SO noticeable!!! we'll see! wanted a cute top but i'm tired of CRBs and swiftlys. need cute new style tops that don't bleed or snag. yeah, i know, asking for too much:)

LOVE IT!!! Lululemon NEEDS to be raked over the coals!!! BTW...Christine Day IS on Facebook and has a FB account, but alas....no one can message her on FB. It would seem...she has it all locked up-- my guess she doesn't want ANYONE contacting her! LOL....

I didn't order anything last night, but considering the Engage Bra now (read the story behind it's name, kind of funny, kind of odd). Has anyone tried the engage bra on yet? Does it cut into the armpits as high as the new scoop me up tank?

I use that as comparison because I just got my order from last week's upload - yay! Love the layering top (darkest dots) but I sized down and fits me perfect! Also the dot scarf and the scoop me up tank in indigo that I just tried on and am debating - looks great, loooovee the color, but feel like it cuts high into armpits. Not sure, probably wouldn't be able to tell unless I wore it for a day after washing!
Thanks!!

On a happy note... I got my order from last week today!!! Yippee! I got two swiftly tanks .. Darling! The capris in denim gather and crow... Super darling. These are stinking cute!!!! And I also got the denim stride jacket. It's a WEE bit more snug than usual, but I am keeping it. It is absolutely gorgeous. It does have a purple cast to it.... But it's LOVELY!!
I guess this made up for last week when I returned 5 items!! Ha!!!!

That FB thread started by Cassandra is awesome. I am visiting friends, all heavy lulu wearers. None if them knew of these issues. They are appalled. The more people know, the more lulu will be accountable.

I read the response from lulu regarding pH on Facebook.. It is quite hysterical. Really lulu? This is why I don't buy your bright color items. BTW, the GEC states that bc of differences of pH " some people’s white t-shirts go yellow in the under arm while others’ don’t. " I thought that happened bc of certain chemicals in deodorant, not pH. Right??? It is still a bunch of BS anyhow.

I picked up the Pow Pink Define at my local store today. Is is soft (much softer than the bruised berry define). I couldn't resist. I needed a 10 in the bruised berry define, but the pow pink define I was able to get my usual size 8. I also picked up the inspires with pow pink and silver. They are gorgeous. The waistband does seem more narrow, but I was able to wear my usual size without the dreaded muffin top. I'm a sucker for pink.

Anonymous said...

Im guessing...that's the best Christine Day can come up with as an explanation...and that's what she's told Lululemon and the GEC to tell its customers. LOL... Who knows...maybe she was fired from Starbucks???

I did prewash and soak and soak and prewash my ray CRB and the damn thing still pulled the color from my jog bra tonight. It is going back. I've never made a LLL return before, but I saved the receipt for just this possibility since I knew these were bleeders and was taking a chance with the super secret process posted the other day.

Since I have the receipt can I get a credit back to my CC rather than a store credit? At this point there really isn't anything I want from LLL.

As to the underarms turning yellow on white shirts, it is due to the aluminum in antiperspirant that causes the yellow stains. Once I switched to deodorant without aluminum (Tom's of Maine) good-bye unsightly stains inside my white clothes.

Respectfully disagree Anon 2:13, not all bright colors bleed, lots of other brands do not have a problem. And, the Lulu issue is such an issue specifically because one wash is not enough, and because there is such dramatic color transfer to other clothing items and skin.

Also, Anon 9:26, no, this type of color transfer to skin does not happen with most darks, even if not pre-washed. So sorry you had such an experience.

Pow Pink lovers. I too love the color but have had bleeding issues with the lovely, soft, Canadian-made CRB. Returned and sad about it.

The FB page is WHOA!!!- The Lulu responses seem so canned. Every time it is, let me get with the design team - or I will let our design team know - or let me ask the design team . .. . omg lol time to go to someone who can do something because it sure looks like the design team ain't cuttin' it!

- Good to know that Pow Pink Define is super soft feeling!!! hoping no bleeding issues and I'm IN! - MEANWHILE back on the ranch, I've been super enjoying my inkblot leggings as well as my splits59 dusty leggings. - I think my lulu full expression top is about to fall apart . . boo hoo its my fav layering top! - I don't feel self conscious zooming around town or to university after pure barre with this top on over tanks and leggies. Looking for something similar!! sheer black top flowy! would be nice if it had a finished hem and wasn't 68$ LOLOL. Accepting any suggestions ladies! all the best to you!

I just received my Pow Pink crb via FedEx and to me the color is kind of dull. From the pictures, I was expecting something almost the same brightness as Flash, but pink instead. I thought it had been described as a "highlighter pink". I don't know, mine looks pretty dull and not at all like the photo. Do you think I received an off color crb, or did I just expect it to be something different? Thanks for the help!

@Anon 2.13, re bleeding being our collective fault when we are paying top dollar for "top quality"-

Oh, Hi Christine! Welcome along!

I got an Engage Bra today in Pop Orange and it is amazing. I am a size 4 in the Power Y and I got it in a 6 and it fits perfectly. I stopped at my store and tried it on. I was between the Pow Pink and the Orange, but Lulu makes soooo many pink things that I know I am going to buy a pink sports bra in the future. I also stopped at the GAP after and bought a racerback sports bra in what would be "Ray" in Lulus. It was only 35 bucks. Which made me a little mad I had just paid 48 for the Engage and Gap has THE EXACT SAME COLOR in their racerback. THE SAME ONE. I was about to go and return the Engage bra but I like it a lot so I am keeping it!

Wow 3:45pm....thanks for sharing! That's CRAZY.... Guess its all of us crazy Lulu lovers that pay her overpaid salary.... :( Yikes!!!

Cari H said...

@Amy- pow pink is not highlighter pink. IMO it is not neon at all. It is a lovely blue based pink. I adore the color as flash and ray and even pop orange were too neon for my tastes.

I used to have terrible yellowing with 4 kinds of brands. Then switched to raw coconut oil and haven't had a problem in 2 years. I'm done with LLL BS.

uh, yeah, my coworker wears walmart danskin clothes (i know, i know, shudder)and her clothes don't bleed. she also wears a scrunchie. we work out at the same gym and it kind of pisses me off that she is stronger, spends less money, and her skin isn't dyed pink at the end of her workout. i'm just such a snob! but i need to rollback the snobiness because my husband and i sure aren't making Christine Day money!

My Power Purple WU crops arrived today.
Holy Camel Toe. Does anyone else remember the "camel toe" song? I was singing it as I took the crops off. The triangle gusset is set so far back...so these crops are going back.
I'm kind of sad, I love purple and I just got the cutest pair of purple/lilac sneakers from Brooks.

Minda said...

I have walmart neon danskin tanks!!! LOL they are bright and fun - I can get in on the fad trend and they are only 5$ each! I can beat them up and not care one bit - when I"m over the color . . poof who cares! LOVE THEM! - I suggest picking them up if you want cheap fun colors that are really actually pretty. WATCH the seams around the neck -- some of them are uneven.. . hey they are 5$!

Oops posted this in the other thread by accident but

FYI they're still having problems with products smelling badly..I got my adjust me bra today and it reaked so badly! I tweeted lulu to which they said "sorry to hear that I haven't heard that happening with any of our bras before give us a call". I called and she pulled up my order and said yea we've been getting a lot of calls about this. We suggest that you air it out for two days and then call us back if it doesn't work..wow I have another order coming on Thursday it better not smell! The adjust me bra order was placed the last week of June, I just got it today bc of the holiday I guess.

Anonymous said...

Ahhh the power of choice! There are plenty of other options out there for active wear. I haven't brought anything from Under Armour which I didn't love and it's a lot less money than Lulu. Athleta makes some lovely products and you can always return items if you aren't 100% happy at any time. We all work very hard for our money and shouldn't have to deal with such awful customer service from Lulu. Quality has gone downhill fast. WUs are so thin etc. Clearly lulu needs to do some serious damage control at this point --a good PR agency!!

Anonymous said...

it's interesting to see that the WU....."reversible" pow pink and the BB are there in just ab all the sizes.

they were so tempting until i saw the darker pink stitching on the PP.......then i thought about the triangle gusset....OH and then i thought ab the bleeding issues.....and to top it off, it may come to my house smelling like fish.

so, i didn't buy anything. hooray for me and not spending money!

Anonymous said...

I have the Flash Light Power Y and no problems with that. I want one in Pop Orange but not Luon Light!

Also I saw in one of the Lulu responses on the FB page that they are switching back to the original gusset. Not sure how accurate that is but they are listening finally? Maybe?

Regarding Cassandra's Facebook "battle" with Lululemon: I understand spending so much money on something that is substandard is frustrating but many of her comments including her referring to Lulu as a "shitty ass company" is terrible. There is no need to be so crass and rude. Be angry. Make your point. Don't back down. But...leave out the swearing and nasty sarcasm. It is just not necessary to covey your point.

I tried on the Inspires today and they fit the same around the waist, however, I did notice the "muffin top" on the model. Inspires are usually a higher rise on me and I did not notice anything different. Speaking of changes, has anyone noticed the change in the Flow Y Bra? The bra does not come up as high in the front. They have cut about half an inch or so off the "height" on the front of the bra. I hate it so much I won't be buying anymore which is sad. It started with the seaside dot one then the BB was the same as well as mirage. While I am on a rant, I am really pissed about these thin WU. I am pissed I can't buy the Indigo because you can see my a$$ really bad during squats. I am pissed they raised the price to $72 -- no way I am spending $72 so people can see my a$$. That being said, I was a bit consoled that I could at least get some Indigo Sun Sprinter Crops today. --Audrey--

I just prewashed and soaked and soaked and soaked (cold and hot) my flash light power y tank and it keeps bleeding! Anyone else experience this bleeding with flash light?

FYI Alert!!!

Just spoke to GEC to confirm about the two different prints on the Mirage WU crop that was mentioned earlier in this thread. The answer I received is even worse than expected. The Educators confirm that the WU crop that you will receive if you order it online today, will not be what is pictured on the website! You will receive the other version, ie, the one that starts with white on waist and bum and the Mirage print down the legs. The Educators said that the one pictured DOES NOT EXIST!! What??? The WU pants will have the Mirage print on the waist , bum and then fades out to white at the bottom of the legs. I was speechless at the blatant error, and the fact that it is still not corrected as of now. So, all of you who ordered the WU crop this morning, good luck. I'm glad I held off due to the two different pictures that I've seen, until I can get a clarification. I do not want to receive a pair with the high probability of "see throughness" issue due to the white fabric around the bum. Can't wait to hear reviews from those who have tried this in the store. See through or no?

Brandi said...

I return to take a pow pink crb, ray speed shorts, and se flash/wee stripe speeds back to my store today because they bled all over the place. Besides asking me if I washed them (yes multiple times, duh) they were fairly pleasant and helpful which was a relief! If anyone else lives in the Las Vegas area and having issues, skip the calls to gec and just go to the FS Mall Lulu!

Someone--anyone here!--should contact the journalists who've written the recent articles about Lululemon. Tell them about the growing dissatisfaction with quality issues. Christine Day may not care if we complain about bleeding tank tops here, but I bet she'd care if the Wall Street Journal and other publications take notice.

yogibabe said...

Thanks for the affirmation of the see throughness of the "white bum" Mirage WU crops. Yikes!

Anonymous said...

Anon 6:02 really? Where did you see the part of switching back to the original gusset? Could it be true?! I hope so!!

Sandra said...

You are very welcome :) I showed up bright this morning to examine all the new items and that is the first thing I noticed... The white tops of the mirage WU crop. I was hoping it was only the store in the Seatle area but it's good that some one called and confirmed that it was all mirage WU crops. That's very sad that people who ordered will be receiving something entirely different.

Anonymous said...

Sandra- did they still have any navy ebb and flow crops at Bellevue? I was going to pick up a size 6 last Saturday but I had my husband with me and he was in a hurry. I wanted to make sure they passed the bend test before I purchased them lol. Thinking I might have to go back afterwork tomorrow to nab them. Thanks!

Jamie Barba said...

6:02 & 8:01, I read it to mean the Trianle Gusset was the original & due to feedback they were switching back to that.

I didn't buy anything today. Holding off to see things in person. I really want the pow define, but I just don't want it bleeding all over my clothes!!

Sandra said...

Yes they did! They only had 2 size 6 left but oddly enough had 4 size 4s which is what I wear. Just beware the black are SUPER see through. I left a review on lulu's page about the differences in the three colors. My user name is Angel32 I think.

Anonymous said...

On the WU mirage crops... all the ones in my store today were white on top and patterned on the bottom. Yeah right Lulu! I did try on the WU mirage pants though. And guess what? STILL totally see through even under the pattern! Plus they were a super gross extra scratchy polyester blend. Just a horrible fabric all around, I couldn't get them off fast enough. Fortunately I got my second order from Beyond Yoga today and they are fabulous! I do in fact do yoga, so I'm test driving this company as a replacement for WUs. Really want to try Kira Grace too and have my eye on Elisabetta Rogiani and Electric Yoga.

Anonymous said...

Oh, and to add to my current WU review... the Bruised Berry WU pants were see through too. I have the BB Polocrosse crops and they are divine. So WTF happened?

Sandra said...

I know this is of subject but I love extremely supportive sports bras and I have had no luck with LLL... I have had extremely good luck with BodyRock Sport by Kelly Dooley. Their prices are probably high for most but I really feel like they lift my "pancake" breast and makes me look so womanly and confident. I seriously find that I work out harder and longer when I am wearing these bras. The zip em up bras are superb for high impact exercises like cardio kickboxing. I also love the fun prints and swarovski crystals. I hope I'm not disrespecting anyone, I just genuinely have had an amazing experience with this brand, they were just featured on O so I hope they don't start outsourcing like LULU and that quality goes down. Any way, just thought some of you might really love the quality and enjoy. I apologize in advance if it comes off as disrespectful talking about another brand.

Wow Elisabetta Rogiani have an awesome color range in their 3/4 gathered crops! I'd love to know if anyone has tried this brand and could review quality/fit etc?!?

Thanks Sandra! I'll stop by bell sq on the way home from work tomorrow. If they have a 6 left it will be meant to be lol. I've never heard of bodyrock bras before gotta check out their website. Lulu bras don't work for me either. I have to get boring moving comfort sport bras. They work but aren't super cute!

Anonymous said...

Thank you Anon for mentioning the Elisabetta Rogiani brand on here!!! I just checked out and WOW!! Great and sexy designs and amazing color palette, plus made in Hollywood, USA. Well, that's reflected in the price but I hope also in the quality.

I'm definitely going to order and test this brand. It might be the end of my spending at Lululemon. I too am getting really feed up with so much quality problems in each garment I order there. I just read above the BB WU pants are see-through as well. I have a pair under way and I don't live in the US or Canada to just send them back. I though I would be safe with a dark color, but I'm now stuck with them.

@anon 9:07pm
Hi there- I think the BY legs are great but as an overall replacement for WU, I don't think they will stand up. WU (when wu was WU not all thin and awful) was much more "all terrain". Don't get me wrong I love my BY! But I don't think they can stand higher impact activities as well as what we loved our WU's to do!

-What I have found to be my WU replacement are Splits 59 dusty leggings or crops. They have a summer sale happening now and are in the process of restocking sale items, which are those leggings. They asked on FB if there are any items in particular people are looking for and they will add it to the list . .. I mentioned a few things and BLAM pronto they replied and added me. wow so nice. These dustys only come in black- but the seams are curvy and femme, so lovely, also a different looking gusset. its running sideways and is pretty large. You don't see it in front or behind. It also has drawstring waist which is nice for running. - and a small flat hidden pocket top front left.

I was flat out dripping sweat, I know gross, lol yesterday. Did elliptical then went to pure barre where the ac was at 80 and everyone was melting! - Then had car battery die and I'm melting in the sun getting jump -then more melting while waiting for mechanic to take air box blah whatever out of the way to put in new battery--- all in florida mind you!! The dustys wicked and breathed my way through! YAY love. No sheerness at all and no sweat stains in fabric. I was on fence about splits 59 in the past because they are so expensive - but I'm hoppin all over the sale and have found that I really really love what they offer. plain awesome black leggings. LOL. I use BY for all other stuff when I want pops of color! - hoping LULU gets the WU back together . . but hey. . there are other fish in the sea.

- I'm interested in electric yoga too for those Lightning Bolt Leggings!!! And I'm going to scope Elisabetta now since you mentioned a name I haven't seen! Thanks!

Elisabetta Rogiani really does have the best colors! Apparently they are Kathryn Budig's favorite pants, and she is an internationally known yogi who gets lots of props for her colorful wardrobe. I haven't bought them yet due to the price, $91 for the 3/4 leggings, but Wunder Unders are quickly catching up. And the quality of ER is supposed to be impeccable. I'd rather spend $91 for the best than $82 for the sheer junk Lulu is putting out at the moment. I know they carry them in some of the YogaWorks studios in LA, and I should be near one in the next couple days, so I'll try them on and report back. If they have a color I like I may even take them home for a test drive :)

Anonymous said...

Guys check out the Olympic Catsuit under the "specialties" tab at Elisabetta Rogiani!! It's so cute! Particularly with the wrap from the same brand. It's something most anyone could wear out and about. The darn price is preventing me from getting it...

Anonymous said...

Checked out Rogiani and got super excited when I saw the double roll down shorts. In the side on pics the model looks like she's got a massive CT. Probably why they don't have a front on pic. The colour is so cute though :(

Anonymous said...

I'm glad someone mentioned Elisabetta Rogiani! I just bought my first few items a couple of weeks ago - the sport band side gather 3/4 pants and the JNL Bumblebee set (also came w. a free boyshort!)

The colors are even more vibrant in person, the fit is awesome, hugs your body, NO BLEEDING! Material is close to luon but a touch softer, perhaps a bit thinner. Gets even softer after the first wash. Definitely not see through.

On the super positive side, each item is custom made. The designer (Elisabetta herself!) actually calls you to confirm your color choice, size etc. if she has any doubts at all. They take all of your measurements to ensure that they're making the perfect piece for you.

The only issue is that there is NO GUSSET and the bras and tops don't have any padding so it's CT and n*pple show for everyone

So do you trade off really custom made, gorgeous colors, soft durable fabrics for risk of CT and guaranteed cold weather "alerts" in your tops? I think I am willing to risk it. I'll be at least getting a few more bras. Undecided on the CT pants, but if I'm getting them w. lulu anyway, what's the difference?

I'm 5'7", 130lbs, broad shouldered and long legged - 6 in Lulu pants, tops and jackets, and 8 in tanks and bras - I get Mediums in both and they fit like a glove.

Hope this helps!

ALO is awesome too!! Im in Canada...I have snagged a few pieces at Winners and have been very PLEASED with the quality. It's been hit or miss...finding ALO at Winners, but I love the brand very much!! Anyone know where else in Canada you can buy this brand, other than Winners?! (Lately I havent found 1 piece of ALO clothing anywheres...) THANKS all! :)

Anonymous said...

Anon 3:27 I saw the shorts too but that is mostly for figure competitors and magazine cover models. All the women modelling Rogiani's pieces are indeed figure competitors and appear regurlarly on fitness magazine covers and nutritional supplements ads. Monica Brant, Jennifer Nicole Lee and Chandy Dunmore are three that I recognized right aways. These women are really into lifting and competing, hence those sparkly pieces. Rogiani also designes for people like Halley berry (her famous bikini pose, anyone?).

But for the rest of us, there are plenty of "non-lace" and "non-sparkly" short, tops and bras. I certainly don't need a ta-ta-tamer enhanced with Swarovsky crystals lol

I just really like the short wraps and the olympic leotard/catsuit.

I banned deodorants with aluminum and parabend more than 10 years ago. I bought both the long sleeve and the short sleeve white swiftly's and after running and sweating in them, they got yellow stains in the armpit areas. I have not been able to remove them. Same happened with my pig pink ls swiftly.
Sorry, but in my case it can not be caused by the aluminum or parabens in my deodorants. Maybe my pH? I am a vegan so I eat lots of citrics ;)

I don't have a whole lot of Lulu yet - on a budget so I have to really love it to buy it ( I love a lot, but one piece at a time :)

Fortunatly, LULU is a trendsetter! And I have been one of the many waiting and waiting for the BB crb. Yesterday at Target I found a beautiful BB-like semi fitted tank by Champion. Best part?? $20!!! Ran in it this morning and I love it! Like the previous posts about the $5 Danskin tanks at Walmart - some of these colors are a trend and I might not love them as much in a few months.

Because of my budget, I choose to spend the money when I make my basics an investment (WU, crops, bras) in black or other basic colors, but I would rather use these less-expensive (non-bleeding) options for the more trendy, bright colors that I love today.

Anonymous said...

jessica - i totally hear you! i've seen similar colors as lulu at the gap too. cheaper prices, no bleeding, and i don't have to baby my workout clothes = happy me. the one drawback is it just slightly misses the mark in cuteness. but more money to spend on basics at lulu (crossing my fingers that they will listen to us and bring back crops that have the diamond shaped gusset and aren't see thru or have unraveling seams!)
