hmmm...
i wanted the ziggy wunder unders before but now they aren't really looking like anything that special to me. wish they were purple like the flow y bra.
i hope there is a caspian define! that i would get. everything else is kinda meh. i like the look of the currant virtuous tank but i'd have to try it on, and i'm a 34c/32d, which could be a little too busty for it.

LOL @ Minda.
OT...I bought a white bikini from the GAP...3 months ago. I washed it once and then a few weeks ago wore it swimming for the 1st time. I was swimming in a gorgeous lake and when my bikini was DRY...I noticed yellow stains all through it. :( The yellow stains almost look like blotchie, yellowish bleach stains!! I didn't wash my bikini in any bleach, so I don't know what this yellow is. Anyways, called the Gap, explained that I felt bad....I wasted $70 on a bikini and WAM!!! She says if I'm not happy to return it for a FULL REFUND!! She even sent me a return label in the mail!!! :) Like wow! Gap has excellent customer service! Had this been a lulu issue....I would have had to email them umpteen different pics to show what the problem was and even then...they would tell me, they'll have to get back to me....

It's refreshing...seeing other companies "back" their products! :) It's like....."not happy, NO PROBLEM!" :)

Anonymous said...

I feel like Gap will do this until they gain more ground and then change their policies. They're trying to catch up to Lulu right now so they're on their best behavior.

Anonymous said...

I haven't had any problems with the customer service. Maybe they know how much I spend??? Anyway, I will be loyal as long as it remains this way. If I have future problems, my loyalty will disappear.

With LLL, I mean!

Good to hear that Gap is backing their products and offers full refunds for inferior quality merchandise. FYI, American Eagle is another amazing company, too. I had a pair of AE shorts that were about 2 years old when the riveted button above the zipper fell off. Since it was held on by a rivet and not sewn on, I had no idea how to reattach it, so I headed to my local AE store. They apologized and stated that their policy is to guarantee their clothing for as long as you own it. The store manager told me to go ahead and find a new pair of shorts to replace the ones that were no longer wearable and did a FREE exchange on the spot. American Eagle now has my business for life because that's a company who stands behind their products!

I just really do not know about those wonder unders. It seems to accentuate the unwanted bulges by zigging and zagging weirdly. It's a good thing. That's one less for me and one more for y'all. So far I'll be watching for the Power purple define, currant studios, and maybe currant power y or crb. Yikes... I have yet to wash mine. I should do that before the upload. It might curb my appetite for more bleeders.

@ 3:35....I have spent upwards to $30,000 in 2 years at one point. When I called, Bring to their attention 2 defective items, Lulu gave me a very hard time... they wanted pics and they took days to give me a resolution, even after reminding them how much I've sent with them over 5 years. Didn't seem to matter...they didn't care who I was or how much loyalty I gave them. Guess it just depends on WHO you get....when you email or call. I delt with Siya and she well less than helpful.... :( Other times, I've received excellent cus. Service....

Do the Ziggy Wee print Flow Y's have a purple background? Do the Wunder Unders in the Ziggy Wee print have a different, perhaps grey, background? Why?

You need to remind the GEC that LLL's Chief Product Officer came out in a letter last week PROMISING better customer service. If you do not get proper customer service and/or results from the GEC, I would suggest initiating contact with CPO Sheree Waterson herself to get results!! If you have not yet read the letter to customers, you can find it on this blog and on LLL's facebook page, too. This is yet another example of LLL OVER-promising and UNDER-delivering on those promises!! Shame on you LLL!!

No problems with your local lulu store? Or no problems with the GEC? The GEC is almost always a problem, while the local stores are usually quite helpful.

I'm a huge Lulu addict....but when you think about it, the Gap has better customer service, better prices and in many cases better quality, faster shipping AND...they mail out all their merchandise with return shipping Lables. lulu has never done that! I love SOME of Lulus quality, but they don't stand behind their products and many times, it's the hassle of fighting with them tooth and nail, for them to see they sold you something defective. NOT COOL! When I call Lulu...I always feel like they are in a hurry to get me off of the phone/chat....when I call Gap, the girls talk to me for 30 minutes! LOL... I still love Lulu...but their attitude towards their customers, has made me think twice when I purchase.

Anonymous said...

3:50...the GEC, I don't live near any Lulus. When I do end up at a store it's good and bad. mostly good....but had 1 bad experience in store. They are much better in store, I have found. not so good with the almighty GEC. LOL

We all think twice, even three times or more, before purchasing lululemon these days. So many problems and so much attitude from the GEC. My fellow instructors and I now refer to them as the GECkos, with apologies to the cute lizards of the same name. However, the GEC is not human and definitely not customer oriented, which one would have to believe is how they are instructed to behave. Sheree Waterson, the lululemon CPO, tried to be the "good cop" in her letter last week, but then leaves the "bad cop" role to the GEC. It's almost impossible to speak with anyone higher up in the company, so the CEO Christine Day and other lululemon officers feel that they are untouchable and well-protected in their ivory tower. Until of course, lululemon's poor quality control, poor customer service, etc. lead to the downfall of the company. Sell your stock before the company completely falls apart. Stock prices are already on the decline. Won't be long until their fall, unless lululemon decides to clean up their act in a hurry.

Good points 4:01.... From anon. 3:51. AGREED!!! Someone there....needs to clean up their act!

I like the ziggy wu! they will be like a varigated space dye!
I DIG!
not sure I would buy them though - unless i heard great reviews on quality

The yellow on the white bikini could be sunscreen. Every time I put sunscreen on when I am wearing something white it turns it yellow when I go in the sun. Drives me NUTS! It happens all the time even though I am careful. Just a thought.

Anonymous said...

I agree that the yellow spots on a white bikini are sunscreen. I had a white tank top (old navy) that I wore only as a bathing suit cover up. It eventually got yellow spots on it and I know it's from sunscreen. It was a cheap top so I didn't really care though.

Does anyone know if the ziggy WUs have the triangle or diamond/oval gusset?

ChantelleTries said...

Wanted to get Ziggy with it - but the new wunder unders are reminding me a lot of my grampa's underwear from the 1950s. My wallet is safe this week!

I think it's ridiculous that one has to return something within 2 weeks. I had ordered a tank online that I didn't like and called a local store to ask about some products and what colors they had. I also asked about returning the product to the store (I'm new to Lulu) and she was immediately like "WHEN was this purchased?" and not exactly helpful! I had no issues returning it, but I have had much better service at REI, where after a week of ill-fitting cycle shoes (wearing them to spin!), they happily let me exchange them.

Hoping for the ziggy WU, but in crops! I heard that the texture of the fabric of the ziggy is similar to the herringbone of last fall, or so. If that is true, then I'm all for it. However it may be one of those items that I have to buy "blind" from the upload. If I were to wait till I get to a store, or even for a review, it may already sell out. :(

Minda, I think the Be Me top looks cute from the front. What does it look like in the back?
BTW, BY just shipped my order from the "bestest" sale ever! (5 items for $50.00!) The last time I looked at BY sale, they still have the Short Shorts in white quilted for $10 and the white quilted Vest for $15! Both are mediums, Minda! They are calling you.....!

Liked the look of the zigzag Perfect Layer tank from afar, but the close up picture, not too much. IMO, the quality doesn't compare to the price, which I'm sure will be in the $58-$68 range. One of those items that must be lokoked at IRL.

If all of the pow purple stuff is uploaded as rumored I am in trouble. I think there is black and purple ziggy, right? Also hoping for more FTB colors!

Anonymous said...

The Ziggy WU = triangle gusset... gotta add though they are sooo soft & comfy I took the leap & got them! Off to Pilates - positivity & fingers crossed no CT!!

Minda said...

Yogibabe!! thatIS the bestest sale ever for you! wow 5 for 50! BLAM!
- OH I have those white quilted shorts LOL they are obscenely short. and unfinished hem! Looks like someone took garden shears to a pair of crops and said OK now we have shorts to sell! haha. I sleep in them or hangi n the house with them that is ALL.
I also have the black quilted vest- that is a WINNER.

anyway back to lulu -maybe i will blind buy the ziggy. gusset shape doesn't really effect me as i am grateful to have no issue there.

@ 3:34 PM - that's a silly conclusion and simply untrue. Gap knows that superior customer service garners customer loyalty! Any good business knows this. The rule is: when the customer is not happy, make the customer happy. They're not going to change their approach regardless of how they do against LLL. Gap and every other retailer are competing with countless others. LLL's sh!tty customer service (by all accounts here, written about many times by many different people) is exactly how NOT to do things. It's a basic principle they seem to have failed at.

Anonymous said...

Ditto on all the comments around customer service. I'm an executive with a Fortune 500 company, and if we treated our customers the way LULU treats its customers, we'd be out of business. The return policy is absolutely ridiculous and a customer should NEVER be given a hard time if they aren't satisfied with product purchased. Send in pictures to evaluate whether or not they'll accept a return and refund your money? You've got to be kidding me!!! That is unheard of in any successful business. LULU execs need to understand retail is a very tough business- even more tough to consistently grow and withstand time. If your customers aren't treated like gold, you won't have any in the long run. That's business 101.

I do not like the gray ziggy WU at all.I like the pattern that is the purple-blue version as shown on that Flow Y and in the banner photo on LLL.

@ Charlotte - the wunder unders are also coming in the caspian/purple ziggy pattern, like the flow y. I just don't have a photo yet.

Great points 5:29! as someone mentioned somewhere in a previous post, maybe on another page....they said, there's no one you can talk to higher up at Lulu and that's very true. I spoke a few times with 2 higher ups in the GEC...and well...it got me nowhere! They make all kinds of promises to you and those "promises" go nowhere. Such a shame... Now I'm uber picky at what I buy from Lulu and I save my money and spend at other places! I've had some great finds at the Gap and other places.
P.S Thanks on the tip about the sunscreen on white bikinis. Nice to know about this!! the one time I wore my white bikini...I didn't have sunscreen on, bec, it was a quick dip. Always good to know about that tho....so THANK YOU! :)

FYI, the virtuous tank, lots of side boob exposure. Not nearly as bad as the zippy run tank, but on most people, regardless of the size of their chest, it will expose a lot of that area. There was one Ed who it fit perfectly, but on the rest of them and myself, it was side boob action. On the people that it does fit well, it looks great. I'm just saying it may be one you want to try on.

OH DEAR, just saw the BACK of the be me top.
It is an unfortunate looking pleated tablecloth in the back.EEK
- okay not loving it like I was earlier! *sad panda*

The pic with the guy modeling the men's pants is from my store! In fact, that girl rang up my last purchase. I feel like I've had a brush with a celebrity!

A lot of things I'd want to try on or see reviews of before I purchase. Not liking what the Virtuous tank is doing to some of the models in the armpit/back area. Probably not for me.

Today I wore my stinky Clam diggers to Body combat and weight lifting session after that. It rode up a lot as I got sweatier. I kept pulling it down. It was slowly evolving into a major camel toe. I paired it with my caspian NLT and that too kept rolling up. What is up with these two? I had a major Lulu wardrobe malfunction today. I probably did not burn as much calories since I had to re adjust. Just kidding...

The instructor was wearing a pow pink Tie and Fly and she probably sized down since it was snug. She tied it pretty high on the sides and they looked adorable on her. None of the pictures I've seen here looked as good as it did on her. She had a porcelaine bra underneath. Cuteness.

Gap has always had tremendous customer service...that's nothing new and it's very likely won't ever change. That being said, I have a love/hate relationship with their clothes...a lot of their stuff fits me weird.

I'm loving the look of that virtuous tank...I hate all those Lulu tops that leave my boobs practically hanging out for all the world to see. I wonder if it's very supportive for those of us with real knockers to whom gravity has been unkind. :/

Anonymous said...

Pink Peony, I have the same issue with my clam diggers from a year ago. Worn them once and never again. Sitting in my drawer ever since. And will never dig another pair.

Anonymous said...

@Minda: I know how you feel. Tried on the Be me top in the store. Loved the front but when I turned around, I was like, "What is that?!" I just don't understand why they stuck that panel of different fabric in the back. If that panel was cut out and they sewed the ends together, the top would look way better.

What is it with the tops that Lulu is making presently? I had to size down 2 sizes for the Perfect Layer tee and My Mantra L/S so that they were slightly baggy.

Anonymous said...

just to clarify... you get sunscreen on your white bikini top and it turns yellow, you wear a pair of shorts for 2 years and zipper breaks and you all think great customer service is a company that takes these items back? that's not what good customer service is about. you don't think those retail companies will start changing their return policies once everyone starts to take advantage of them?

Anonymous said...

I think my past post DID SAY...I had no sunscreen on and yet, my bikini went yellow/orangey in a few places.... I take excellent care of all my clothes, so this should not happen and yes, a company should stand behind their products as I'm someone who RARELY ever returns items! :) I don't smoke and my bikini looked like someone was using it to make a cig! LOL

For having such poor customer service and crappy designs lately, I still see a very strong obsession with it With all of you women. ;) It's like a cult. you walk around Fashion Island here in CA and if you're not wearing LLL you are not in the know. They consistenly sell out of stuff by 6 am CA time on tues mornings. the hot items go fast from we made too much section. The clothes feel fabulous on. Really the only clothing that makes me feel great about myself while wearing it. The only clothing where it's customers are obsessed with knowing every color lulu comes out with.. The only clothing company out there who really stresses health and getting out there in the fresh air and enjoying life. lots of haters out there on this blog, but you're still here buying more, watching what will come out next and taking the time out of your day to read this blog and everyone's responses. Strange. I LOVE LLL and I think their customer service has done me good. Never had a problem. :)
