Australian Heads Up

Australia got a number of items North America didn't on Monday night. Though, Canada did get the Currant Cool Racerback. I'm kind of hoping a Power Purple Swiftly tank shows up but am thinking there is a good chance it might not. If the Currant CRB shows up in stores this week or on-line next week, I think I am going to get it this time around.

I'm not buying ANY reds until...we hear the bleeding is all fixed.

Anonymous said...

@ anon 4:23am--just call the GEC, I betcha they'll swear up oneside and down the other that Currant will not bleed after proper "pre-washing"! LOL
Please, everyone, keep in mind that these products go into production many months in advance to actual release to the consumer. This is July, so I'm going to guess the current batch of items started production right at the beginning of the year. LLL JUST admitted to quality issues about two weeks ago. I believe any quality changes/improvements will not be seen until the NEXT batch of gear is released...so, figure September/October, if we're lucky. More like holiday time as LLL will have to renegogiate textile formulations, subcontractors, etc (if they actually do anything~remember, they are a public company and have shareholders to answer to). In the meantime, my $$$ will be going elsewhere. You all can enjoy your Currant and Deep Indigo and whatever other bright/saturated items...and I'll be shaking my head when I see the posts start rolling in on here about "oh my god, my [insert latest item] bled all over my [insert item]".

Yay Focus! For being right on top of it. :) I'll pass and let "my share" be for those who covets it. I have the original release from a while ago & the heathered Tango Red. Still a full size run. Enjoy everyone!

@ 4:37 very good points! :) I would also like to add, because they make their stuff all overseas....sadly, it will realistically probably take another year for bleeding issues and poor quality of materials to stop! it's never a quick fix.... (although I wish it was!) And that's ONLY...if Lulu really goes forward to call their suppliers and they make those changes. And..."if" Lululemon pays more money to have better dyes put out. Hard to say...if they will want to spend millions, to fix all their problems, because that is what it's probably going to cost! Change is hard and expensive!! It's possible....but it will be up to what Lulu is willing to spend.

Now, I like the chevron print on that purple shirt. I think the difference between that and the items currently out is that the stripes are wider and more defined than some of the sloppy stripes I've been seeing. Not sure I need/want a shirt with such a high neck but if it makes it to the US I'll check it out. I'm also dying to get my hands on a 1/2 zip in a nice color ever since I tried one on from the clearance rack. Alas, it was the wrong size but even a size too big I could tell it's a great item for me. That said, I seem to be collecting an awful lot of purple clothing from Lulu since that's pretty much the only shade I've liked of theirs in the past five months. Here's hoping the fall brings us some more blues and greens and maybe a darker orange! People are gonna start thinking I'm a grape if I keep wearing my Lulu gear.

I was eyeing the legendary duffle bag...but $150?? LOL.... I have something very similar to LDB from 4 years ago and I paid $78!!!!! They have almost DOUBLED the price and the materials are thin apparently. My duffle is made out of thick material. Is the LDB...really worth the hefty $150 price tag??? help!

Anonymous said...

Loving the chevron details on the front and back of that l/s Swiftly.

Anonymous said...

i have the legendary duffle in black. it is extremely expensive but i love it. ive been using it for weekend trips. so far no threads have come loose or the metal clips becoming rusted (ive read someone complaining ab this)

i dont use it to carry my yoga mat.....so that space becomes an extra pocket for laundry items.

only thing is that like the bliss bag (which is the one thing i regret buying bc i dont need it and when i saw it on WMTM, i bought it on a whim), it is kinda heavy without even filling it up with items.

Bummer!!! I just realized Tues morning order didn't actually get placed and now they're out of the tall Caspian Pacesetter in 10. Oh well, I wasn't sure I was gonna love it anyway! Maybe there will be something I can't live without next week. Oh, and I'm going to Orlando on Wednesday! Outlet here I come!!

Anonymous said...

@ 6:17...are the little floppy pull things on the zipper leather??? Pls let me know. So does this carry a lot of clothes, say for a 4 day away trip?! Is there a Seperate little baggy for shoes or diry clothes?! Thanks!!

Anonymous said...

@ 6:25 You might find something at Orlando outlet, but I was there a few months ago and it was a waste of time. Staff was rude and unfriendly, when I asked a question and the deals were like $20 off. they have no hoodies or jackets at all. in fact, I bought nothing because in WMTM there were better deals there! I saw pants, $15 off and the same item was in WMTM for $25-$30 off. It was all old, crap stock...that didn't sell and I was very disappointed. I spent 5 mins in the store and then left to go to UGGS. Bought $130 slippers at UGGS for $39 and $29!!!! :)

Anonymous said...

Love the chevron on the swiftly! Wish it was on the 1/2 zip, too.

Anonymous said...

I also have 2 family members who went to 2 Lulu outlet stores...one in BC and one in the USA. She said there were racks upon racks of drop crotch pants....like $30 off. She said the deals weren't that great, so she didn't score anything, but she said...she couldn't BELIEVE how many sale racks were devoted to the drop crotch pants. LOL... that tells me...all those "drop crotch" pants were NOT a good sell for Lulu. What a waste of materials...if they are just sitting on racks at an outlet store...and no one is buying them up. What was poor Lulu thinking?!

The Vaughan Mills outlet near Toronto is usually pretty good... anyone been there lately? I'm going tomorrow! :D

Jamie! Oh!! Sorry about your order! That stinks. Hey! Where do you teach your classes? I go to lifetime and occassionally yoga at inner peace.

OT - but do tanks/bras not come with the cups anymore!? I got an engage bra and it didn't come with cups, and I just received my first scoop me up tank as again, no cup inserts. What the hell? I love the tank as its buttery soft and flattering, but I need the inserts or else I feel like I have no support at all!! Advice??

Ashley said...

Loving the chevron stripe on the power purple ls swiftly. It's just different enough to convince me that I am going to have to have it! Just what I need to be buying when it is over 100 in the south. Haha

Anonymous said...

@7:34am - just call GEC and ask for cups to be sent to you. I have numerous tanks but only have 2 sets of cups (!). Before my last order shipped, I asked them to make sure to include cups in my order even though I didn't order an tops this time.

Somebody correct me if I'm mistaken, but they can ship the cups even without any current order.

Anonymous said...

I also love the chevron pattern in the swiftly! I love a bold, geometric zig zag. I was so excited when we first got sneak peak of the white ziggy perfect layer tee about a month ago (?), but once I started to see more ziggy items my heart just sank. I'm not into these blurry stripes at all. At least PL tee is a "clean" chevron, but too pricey for me considering that it's just a cover up. I'm still hopeful there's a non-blurry chevron CRB on the horizon... But I won't hold my breath.

Sourkraut said...

@Anon 7:34 & 7:40 -- From Lulu's Facebook feedback to similar questions it seems they'll ship cups on their own with no need for an order. I don't think I've ever gotten cups included with an online order and usually have to ask at the store when I'm shopping there since they're not in many of the tanks or bras either. I find it a little annoying that they're stingy with the cups but keep sending those damn shopping bags every single time. Why not give us the option to request cups and decline the bags?

Does anyone know if Lululemon will be coming out with a Power Luxtreme crop or tight for men?? Or even a tanktop or shirt??

Anonymous said...

Off topic, but I just had to rant. I bought the indigo denim WU crops last week, and even though there is a triangle gusset, I decided to get them. I loved the way the fabric has solid coverage, and I was only planning to wear them out and about. (I think they're too thick for working out in.)
Anyway, I had them on yesterday for less than 10 minutes and I couldn't WAIT to take them off. The triangle gusset is set so far back that the middle seam was rubbing right on my...sensitive areas. It was horrible. I couldn't take them off because I was no longer at home, and so I was stuck wearing them all day. Then at the end of the day, I'm looking at my legs, and they're all fuzzy. The fabric got FUZZY. The pants, after one day of casual wear, look old. Great.
Do you think I could take them back?
Thoughts?
So upset...I should have listened to you guys about the triangle gusset in Luon. I didn't think it would matter...oh, it does. :(

Thanks for the heads-up about Currant CRB on US website, ladies! I just ordered mine. I had ordered Power-Y in same color yesterday because I didn't see the CRB but now I can decide which one to keep after trying them both.

As for bleeding, I am sure it will bleed a little - but I mostly wear black crops and will wear black bra with CRB so hopefully I can get away with it (as long as it doesn't color my skin red)!

I got the swiftly racerback from studio city yesterday, and love it! Looks awesome with the angel blue bra and indigo ebb and flows!!!

Anonymous said...

Take them back, say they bled which they probably will. The last WU pants I tried on were super adorable but the seam rubbed me in on my lady part too made me uncomfortable in the fitting room so I could not imagine wearing them for a few hours consecutively.

Anonymous said...

I called once and they shipped me cups, since an earlier order didn't come with any. They actually sent me two pairs since I wear a size 6 in the 50 Rep and a 4 in the Flow Y and Free to Be. They were really nice about it when I called.

It's anon 7:34 here again. I just called GEC and yep, i'm getting some cups sent to me asap! Very friendly service, no hassle, overall a very pleasant and painless experience. Although i wish they just came with the stupid cups to start with! and I agree with you Sourkraut, I need another plastic lulu bag like a hole in the head!! haha

Anonymous said...

@ 7:50 call the GEC or go to your local store and they will work with you. The triangle works for some people and not for others. Don't feel bad about it.

Thanks for the heads-up! Ordered the currant crb this morning.

I was at the Orlando outlet a couple of weeks ago. They had a few things I would have wanted, but only in tiny or huge sizes. The middle of the store was covered with racks of the "Ride on" line. There wasn't anything in the store that I haven't seen on WMTM or on sale in my local store in the last few weeks. I was pretty disappointed.

Anonymous said...

Orlando Outlet- I was there two weeks ago and it was a dissapointment, overall. The store is small and arranged by sizes. Tons of blurred blossom WU, drop crotch/harem pants, and the other pants in WMTM. NO tanks of any kind which is what I wanted to find. I did manage to find a Lift and Separate bra in 36DD, the lilac black dot print. I hope you have better luck!

After the outlet I went to the lulu in Mall at Millenia where the sales person told me they just sent a bunch of their stuff to the outlet, and that yea, the outlet didn't have the best stuff.

Review of my currant WU crops: holy see-through! I'm not talking a wee bit sheer when I bend over, I'm talking PANTYHOSE sheer. I even tried them with seamless boyshorts in the same color (well, nearly identical--they're not lulu). This solved the problem of seeing any pattern or color from my underwear, but you could still see the tag when I was standing, and when I bent over you could see every stitch in the gusset of the undies. Way TMI for anyone behind me in class! I even ordered a size up because my usual size was sold out, and having that extra material didn't help.

Oh, and the currant swiftly SL showed up in my store's PN yesterday, so it's in the US in some stores at least.

Since the comment is hoping today. I need advice. I'm looking for a really good pair of crops and tank for running and yoga. I love lululemon's style. Think of the new run power luxtreme ones and maybe a racer back. any advice for a dude looking at these styles?? I know I'm a 8 in lululemon gear.

I even asked if they get in Graitude Wraps....at the Orlando Outlet and the girl looked at me, as though I had 3 heads. She said she didn't know what that was??? There were only two girls working when I went in. I asked one gal, who appeared to be a manager, some questions and she walked up to her coworker and was like, "can you please help this customer out..." She was very rude and abrupt and walked away....after passing me over the other gal. LOL.... Sadly, I will never go back to that outlet again. I was looking for bottoms in size 4 & 6 and as someone mentioned, there were either bigger sizes or size 2. The deals were not great, in fact, deals online are much better! There was nothing impressive about this store or it's staff...so I hopped on to COACH and bought a $340 purse for $110!!!! :) Coach, Gap and UGGS...always have great deals at the Outlets! :)

Just so everyone knows...the Pow Pink Define's are being pulled back...so if you have one with a jenky seam you can return/exchange it.

Allison said...

You should post this on the LLL FB page. I think that you always have a better chance of getting your $ back when you complain in "public." There is absolutely NO good reason for your crops to be pulling after one wear.

Hi all – I visited my local store yesterday and wanted to share the following fit reviews:

Power Purple Define - Beautiful in person and one of my favorite defines in terms of color I’ve seen in a long time. The defines I saw were Made in Cambodia (vs. China like others - I saw there was discussion of country of origin of the recent defines the other day). Noticed some jackets had stitching problems, similar to the Pow Pink Define, but not to the extent we saw in that color. Definitely check the seams/stitching quality if you’re buying in store or purchasing online.

Ziggy WU Pant – Sheer and very shiny. Also, the quality wasn’t as nice as the Herringbone wu crops from last year. I was liking this print from photos, but will pass on the wu crop version because I’m over paying top dollar for sheer workout clothes.

Run: Track Time Crop - After trying them on, I can’t figure out why they’re priced so high compared to the other running crops. The tag claims that the power luxtreme is the thickness offered by lulu, however they were just as sheer as the Inspire crops on my bend-over test. There’s no circle mesh or other breathable material and the fit isn’t as flattering as I was hoping. The “nakedstream” seams or whatever it’s called is unremarkable and doesn’t contribute anything of value compared to the other running crops priced $10-20 less. Heck, even if these were priced the same as the Inspires, I wouldn’t buy them, because I’m positive I’d overheat without the breatheable panels offered on other crops.

Hope this helps!

Speaking of outlets, has anyone been to the outlet at Woodbury Commons NY recently and can comment on what kind of stuff they had? Thank you in advance.

Jamie Barba said...

Now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever bought anything online that would have cups besides bras, and the ones I wanted them for all came with them. I did notice when I tried the scoop me up tank last week that there weren't cups.

It stinks that everyone's had such a downer experience @ the Orlando outlet. When I went last summer, I got several TaTa Tamers for $29 and some other great buys. I'll still visit, as I wear those aforementioned "giant" sizes, so it may work out well for me!!

Amy B, thanks! I teach at the Hub on Main St. in Broken Arrow and at the Owasso Y. I know several people who teach at Lifetime. Feel free to come to a class at the Hub some time, they're only $5 for non-members!! I've never made it to inner Peace, but I'd like to. I even had a group on once!!

Amy b said...

Jamie! I might just have to check the hub out. You must try inner peace! It's lovely!

Just an FYI... the plastic Lulu bags are recyclable.

Like, stick them in a blue bag and put them out for the truck to pick up, recyclable.

Speaking of outlets, has anyone been to the Collingwood Melbourne one? Do you rate it or prefer the usual stores? TIA :-)

Anonymous said...

I like the chevron pattern on the swiftly LS. I will get that one. The half zip looks good too but I won't get it in the same color.

The Ziggy stuff is grating on me. I can't look at them anymore without cringing. They remind me of Brillo and Chore Boy scouring pads. They do not look soft (although they are) yet bumpy like a deflated helium balloon to boot. YIKES!!!

Ok, to each his own taste in clothing... Sorry if this hurts somebody's feelings. Peace...

Anonymous said...

Anon 207 I have been to collingwood outlet and it is not too bad at all! I wear a size 6 and that always sells out super fast but if I call and pay for it over the phone they hold it for me! Staff are always pleasant but stock can be really old! Still live the store at chadstone and on chapel street : ) if you plan a trip to collingwood call them and ask them if they have stuff in your size before you go.

Anonymous said...

@10:18 AM...Too much sheen seen in the tight means you are in the incorrect size. Ziggy WU are not sheer or shiny on me at all in my regular size 4, in fact, there is room.

Anonymous said...

Awesome. So helpful, thanks for your input!

@ anon 9:48 am - Are the Pow Defines being pulled back for the bad seams and nothing else like bleeding? I picked one in a store that had decent seams and hate to return in since I love the color so much. I'll have to take a look at the seams and see if there has been any unraveling due to wear.
