O...m...g...I'm gonna NEED those wunder Unders!!!

The bra and "shorts" look really silly and dated to me. I know they have for Bikram, but that is awfully skimpy and ugly.

those "shorts" are just plain vulgar. and what's with the color? looks like something a saloon girl would wear---not someone in Bikram.

wait, are those undies or actual shorts?

Really?! "Shorts" is right because they aren't shorts: those are granny panties! And a bra is a bra is a bra. Sadly it won't surprise me if someone shows up in Bikram wearing this ensemble thinking it's acceptable. Maybe if LLL had made the bottoms as more of a Groove short and the bra more of a sport bra/cropped tank, it would be OK.

The Warrior Pant looks cool but I'm afraid the inverted triangle at the back is a detail miss indeed and not tasteful at all.

@ anon 6:11pm - I think they are more liking a bathing suit bottom so not sure if they will be called shorts or not. I'm pretty sure they are for Bikram yoga, though.

Were the WUs spotted in SoCal by any chance? :)

OMG... Somebody catch the falling sleeve please. I can barely take it anymore.
I like how the verve pants look. My store did not get them yet. Must try that one.
The SS tee looks interesting but definitely not if you want bum coverage.
Pass on the skimpy outfit. I just cannot pull this off.

sS tee is a pass.
Verve pant....diamond gusset, pleeeeeeease?

Got my dense purple define today! Ordered on Thursday, that's pretty good shipping time. It is definitely one of my favorite Lululemon items to date- SUPER soft, wonderful stitching, and beautiful color. It is my second define after my black slub denim one. I live in Southern Cali and will definitely get a lot of use out of them both.

interested to get my zipper WUC in from WMTM- hope they are the old, thick material and nice gusset!

Hot spell bra and shorts look ridiculous. If I was going to wear just a bra for yoga, I would probably just wear one of my other sports bras like Energy or 50 Rep. Don't see the point in buying a bra that only has one purpose if it's that expensive. Same with those Bikram underwear or whatever. Just wear a swimsuit bottom! I see lots of girls at my yoga studio wearing bikini tops. And then you can walk right down the street to the beach after :)

They are actually labeled as shorts on the tag. I am serious. That is why I was so shocked.

@ Pink Peony: you have me LMAO with falling sleeve, someone please catch it! But yes, please someone do, I can't take it either!

Those cranberry pants on top are Verve? why do I the bottoms look different? Did she cuff them? i like the way they look there!

@ anon 9:42 am - The photo caption identified them as Verves but the length is throwing me off. If I find out differently I'll correct it.

LuluAddict said...

Now that I study the Verves on the website more you can see there is a diagonal seam that comes in just above the knee. I think she cuffed Verve pants to make them into crops.

You shouldn't have to get a bikini wax to wear "shorts". I'm just sayin'!

LLA, are you wearing the bruised berry define in your profile picture? I want that define so bad... I bought 2 and both were defective :( I saw that Canada had them restocked and online in all sizes last upload... I am hoping US gets them again but for now I have a PPurple I came across last week in a store and it had PERFECT sturdy stitching and was thicker than the other PPurple defines I first saw in stores; the material is a lot like the bruised berry so I had to buy it but I have yet to take the tags off. I think I'm secretly hoping I can trade it in for the bruised berry :)

LuluAddict said...

@ Sandra - it is the Bruised Berry Define. It it probably my favorite of the three Defines I have purchased lately - Pow, Bruised Berry, and Power Purple. However, they are all pretty nice. I also wanted to get the Currant one but am holding out hoping for a solid Bordeaux Drama one. Not sure if that will come out but I am hoping it will.

Why would you waste a beautiful color like angel blue on these weird and scandalous pieces? It's almost insulting lol! I dunno about "appropriate" bikram etiquette but I can assure you that no one at the studio I go to would ever wear that. A supportive bra and boogie shorts don't bother me, but I don't want to see that much bare flesh in front of me during a 90 min class, yuck.

It looks fabulous!

I bought the 105F Bra (that is the name) in the Bordeaux Drama/Black combo. I'm usually a 4-6 as far as bands go, but a 6-8 in cups (32DD/DDD). I went with the 8 because my store was down to 4 & 8. The band is a bit looser than I'd want, but the coverage is perfect. It's very attractive and I plan on using it as a layering piece.

My store didn't have any of the shorts/undies.

To the woman pining for the bruised berry Define, I got one with ratty logo stitching on the front, and when I returned it, they all had bad stitching. So they offered to send it to their seamstress to fix it (and if she failed, I could have a refund). I was skeptical, but I thought, "Why not?" Well....she did a fantastic job, and now I think it is my favorite Define (of about a dozen), too. It's gorgeous.

I also have the new Costco/Kirkland knockoff of the power purple Define, and I love that, too. Super well made.

Some of these comments have really made me laugh. You ladies are too funny. If you think those super short shorts are scandalous, you obviously haven't spent much time in a Bikram studio! At my studio the most coverage you will see are Boogie shorts at best. Most women wear bikini-style shorts like this, cheeks out and all. I don't think I've ever seen anyone wearing anything more than a bra, either.

I find it inspiring to be around so many people of all shapes and sizes who are completely comfortable in their own skin. It really brings an empowering energy to the room. Also, you know, it's a little hot in there. When it's between 105 and 115 degrees and humidifiers are blasting steam during the entire class, you'll be grateful for your teeny little shorts. :)

I, for one, think it's great that Lulu is finally putting out a line for Bikram after a seemingly endless stream of running and cycling releases! I'm excited to try this stuff on.

I'm in California and even I rarely see people baring their cheeks! Must depend on the area. Around here, standard shorts for bikram are speed short & reverse groove length. No undies! Sports bras? totally normal. but on bottom people keep it tame.

This kinda just goes to show the differences between some communities doesn't it? If I saw someone in this outfit at my studio i'd be a little taken aback, not that there's anything wrong with it but it's just people don't dress that way in my little backwards-thinking town. People are pretty conservative here despite the heat of the room. I always feel a bit self conscious wearing my some like it hot shorts and a full coverage bra just because people stare at you.

So while these items aren't for me I can appreciate them, and i am glad they're making a Bikram capsule. Looks like the LLL capsules are finally starting to provide pieces that are useful and specific to that sport!

I only did a few bikram classes before deciding it just wasn't my taste, but no one wore anything close to this skimpy. Most of the women were in crops! I wore shorts the first day and realized why the others were all in crops--it was gross having all of that sweat coating my legs with nothing to absorb it. I wore crops the next time and it was way better. Going nearly naked makes no sense to me. I think people just want to dress half-naked so they justify it because "it's, like, hot in there omg!" when it doesn't even make sense (sort of like the girl I saw running on Saturday in thick, full-length tights and no shirt, and you could see her headlights through her sports bra because it was so cool out!) Just say you want to dress half-naked. It's okay.

Those bottoms are pretty short. more bathing suit like than actual shorts.
I studio clearly specifies that bathing suits are not to be worn in hot yoga.
There is another studio I go to sometimes, where people including the teachers would wear that type of outfit. I've also seen people wearing see through clothes and not being in the least bit concerned.
it is all relative.

Anything goes at my hot yoga studio. There's a yoga dude who wears woven hemp "manties" and nothing else.

Lol maybe it's an east coast thing? (I'm in Maryland.) But it definitely seems like anything goes here too. There are plenty of dudes in speedo-type bottoms as well. Our teachers always suggest wearing a short top and shorts so you can see more of your muscles working in the mirror; that way small adjustments are more noticeable.

I never wear a shirt; usually a free to be bra and a pair of boogie shorts. I don't like my cheeks out either but I say more power to those who do! :)
