Must this jacket fit so tightly? I mean, is this the intended fit?

uh oh uh oh, I am LOVING this... if it comes in a color other than black or currant (red doesn't appeal to me personally) I am in huge trouble... well, unless it costs too much. I am not paying >$130 for a running jacket no matter how cute.

This is my local store yet again. Boy, they are getting a ton of new stuff in early!

Just scored the heathered angel blue crb. It really is amazingly soft and the perfect color.

man all these new product drops so early before monday night is giving me lulu anxiety! will the CRBs and turbo tanks be uploaded on monday or won't they? It's bad enough losing sleep on mondays, but now I just can't wait for the next upload lol!!

I was lucky enough to buy the currant asymmetrical zip run pullover this past season, so I'm not in need of the red jacket, cause I'm not a fan of that severe triangular neck "flap", like the last cycling gear vests and jackets....the biggest reason why I didn't buy, even on markdown...more $$ for better new stuff!

OT, so many better core pieces being offered (finally) are all of you going to forget about "Coco" and "Pack and something"...see, I forgot about it already, lol! save your money, it's not that cute! Especially if it doesn't fit or flatter.

I can see why this wouldn't appeal to everyone, but I am in LOVE with it!! To bad I'm pretty much on a spending freeze for the next couple of weeks. My husband is having oral surgery and we just found out we have to pay for it ALL up front. Sure hope everyone else doesn't like it as much as I do so I can pick it up on WMTM later!!

Oh, and spending freeze or no, if the Angel Blue power Y shows up on the upload this week, it will be mine!

meh. just got the milky way crb and i hate it!!! polyestery, one of my boobs is all white while the other is a blotch of black, the white isn't a bright white and the dark colors looks stretched out over my chest. i didn't find this soft at all, but i could see me loving the print on a cotton tee with better distribution. also got the split pea nlt and yes the color is very different from whats on the website but i actually like it! definite keeper.

The fit on this is great! This is my store, and I bought this in black. It is very sleek fitting. I usually gravitate towards colors, but this I really loved in black.

you gals who live near this store are SO LUCKY! Nothing new in my store yet! Cannot wait!

Tried on the Tea Lounge crop and didn't expect to like it. It's so comfy and the light gray is too cute. LOVE LOVE LOVE. It came home with me. Fits TTS (same as WU, DSC). I'm seriously thinking of getting the dark gray.

Strange but some of the newer WU (crops and pants) have the triangle gusset that is BLACK on the inside. When the color is purple and the gusset is black, it cannot be reversible. Did anyone else notice this? Example the embossed Power Purple.

Has anyone tried the Prescence of Mind Jacket? Please share your fit review. Thanks.

I want the light grey pique/white in strides back getting tired of purple and red

Anyone have the zipper WUC that are still on the website? I want to buy them in hopes of having the older material/gusset but am thinking that they have to go to WMTM at some point right?

I'm on a spending freeze too- I have a vacation to New Orleans coming up in October and another to Disney at Christmas (that trip is a family one for my nieces and nephews- Disney at Christmas would not be my first pick, but no one would go for my London idea :). So I'm on a freeze this month at least. I know I most likely won't hold out past the month. Like many of you, I just love the fall releases. I think the track time jacket looks great. Here's to living vicariously through you guys and your lulu buys! (toasting you with some OJ)

The presence of mind jacket is a hot mess! I really wanted it to fit well but it was so sloppy just putting it on. Too bad. It is so cozy. Tts though if you're interested in giving it a try yourself.

Anonymous said...

What is the material on this jacket? Is it brushed and fleece-y like the run for it jacket from last year?

Anonymous said...

Presence of Mind jacket looks beautiful in the pictures? Can the bad fitting be corrected by sizing down? Am so tempted to order it online but living in the other part of the world doesn't allow me to purchase recklessly.. Any one has good reviews of this piece?

I bought presence of mind not seeing how it could be anything but gorgeous... And returned it yesterday because it's awful. Stiff. Clickers clackety zippers. Ugly trim. Spreads out like wings. I was so sad, but it's really awful.

This is a very cute jacket. It looks great on this model, but I'm thinking she may have to size up to be able to move/run in it. I'd love to see the product description.

the product description:
1. power luxtreme lining wicks sweat away from the body.
2. E-glyde outer layer is finished with DWR (durable water repellent) to repel the wind and rain
3. Mesh panelling helps keep you cool
4. Thumbholes help sleeves stay put
5. Reflective details help with low-light visibility
6. A shoulder loop helps keep your collar in place

I bought this jacket this weekend and LOVE it. I already have 8 jackets in Current including last winter releases. and I just bought the pedal power LS. (our home football team colors are red and white.. so the items will be used... JUSTIFICATION :) )
Anyhow, this jacket it brushed on the inside but isn't as thick as the brushed defines/strides. It is sleek on the outer layer and is fitted nicely. The model in this picture is wearing a size 4 and I bought a sz 6 went up from my normal four to have a bit more room to layer long sleeves, or wear over street clothers. Going up a size didn't change the shape of the jacket at all, like sometimes you get with the thin material jackets. The side zipper is flattering too. I know a lot of the lululemon items this season have seen a hike up in price but at $128 for this jacket it actually was reasonable considering the two others I tried on at the store;
1. the Nothing but Run: this jacket was also $128 and was cute on but such a thin material. prob. as this if not thinner than the run essential jacket. which I think should never be more than $99 for a jacket that only functions as a light rain jacket.
2. The Make A Break Jacket is $148 and is just as thin as the Nothing but Run jacket. I have no idea who decides pricing at lulu, but it is pretty skewed.. No prices seem to stay consistent across the board. :(..

This jacket (Run : Track Time) is not stiff and will be used for multiple activities. a great running jacket, a great to and from, street wear, under layer for skiing, and a great jacket for just hanging out. Seriously it is closer cousin of the Run: Stay on course jacket from last winter. although a little lighter, but a jacket that is much cuter and practical once you try it on.

BTW all of the Biking gear Jackets i.e.
Pedal Power Rain Jacket and the Coco Softshell are NOT flattering and way too much jacket for a female body, (and I'm very athletic build),, they are WAY over-priced and to tell you the truth you can get a much cuter jacket and one that will get much more use from ANN TAYLOR .. Dont waste your money.. Lulu.. Bring back the Audrey or the Run Apres from 3 years ago,,, just update it with color options or a reversible sash/tie.. Seriously what is Christine Day doing???? Ive bought Lulu for 9 years now and product price has jumped up but function and quality has taken a turn for the worse.. These two should reflect each other and they just don't right now...

I noticed that SOME of the embossed pow purple had the "reversible" hang tag but the stitching and cut inside was sloppy puls the black triangle crotch, nor did it have the lulu symbol on the side of the leg that most reversible WUC have so I found one with better stitching and slightly thicker material than the others in my size and bought them. I noticed when I cut off the tags that the one I purchase did NOT have the reversible hang tag which made more sense to me. I think they made a mistake by adding the "reversible" hang tag. I don't think they were ever meant to be reversible. I have to say tho that I am in love with mine. I found a good pair after a hunt and they are camel toe free and very flattering and not completely sheer like the last 25 pairs I have tried on recently.

I would love to see a comparison between Aquamarine, Caspian blue, and angel blue crbs.

Anonymous said...

Me too Anon 12:25... and with Menthol in the mix!
I really hope they bring out a Tonka Stripe Split Pea CRB!!!

Me, too, Anon 12:25 and 3:28 - I would like to see a comparison of the Menthol (heathered), Toothpaste, and the Angel Blue. The heatered menthol and toothpaste are close...I have my eye on the Angel Blue PY but not if its close to the menthol. If its kinda close, I'll take a pass.

Funny story, re: the Angel Blue/Caspian comparison....My husband went down to Dallas for an Iron Maiden concert Friday night. On the way back Sat morning, I sent him by the Lulu store at Northpark Mall. I can only picture these two big dudes in their Iron Maiden concert tees trying to figure out which crops I wanted! So, I had him put me on the phone with one of the EDs & I asked if they'd gotten in any Angel Blue items. She said, "you mean Caspian, oh yes, we've got that." I said no, Angel Blue, so she asked a co-worker who told her the only thing was the Energy Bra & I heard her say to the other gal, "Oh...I thought that was Caspian too!"

When I tried on the EB in Orlando last week, it seemed much richer than Caspian, which seems more pale and pastel to me!

I just wanted to share that I've finished my first week of couch to 5k after 8 months out of comission due to a car accident, so I'm super excited! Hoping to do a 5k or 10k in December while my hubby does his first full marathon. So glad to be moving again and back in yoga and pilates!! Take a moment to appreciate what we have ladies.
Thanks for having a place to chat about these things.

Way to go Vanessa!! It's awesome to get back on your feet post-accident. I was in a bad accident 3 years ago and I started running a year and a half post-accident - and it did wonders for me, helped more than painkillers. Since then I've gotten back on my feet and I really think running helped a lot. Good luck to you!!

Jenn,
Thanks for the encouragement, appreciate it! I'm realizing how much harder it is to get back into exercising then to maintain it, but will keep at it. Good to hear your success story!
Thanks,
Vanessa

OT but has anyone heard when the SFT jackets will be out? I'm patiently waiting to see them in an upload lol:)

the milky way pattern is not that nice. if the colors where lighter, not as bold,I would be interested. Lately the crb material feels so rough on the skin. I would love to try itin the split pea color.

I tried this jacket on tonight. I was expecting to love it. I did not. There is some sort of shinny material on the shoulders. This jacket looks like something Michael Jackson would wear in the Thiller video. It has an 80's look. I do love red so I got the currant define instead
