The Latest and Mini Store Trip Report

I like this photo since it shows how to mix and match the latest colors and prints. I bought a Power Purple Define Jacket today but I am at a bit of a loss as to what to pair with it to really make the color pop. I have the Bruised Berry Define and every color that looks good against Power Purple looks great against Bruised Berry. The exception is Angel Blue which seems to look really good against Power Purple. I do have three Angel Blue tops from the last time the color was out and three is kind of my minimum to justify a new jacket purchase. Power Purple is slightly darker than it was when it came out a few years ago. I compared the Define to an older Power Purple Deep V tank and a Mesh Headwrap headband I had and they are both lighter than the jacket. I like the color a lot but not sure I really need. The tags will stay on for a couple of weeks while I wait to see what else lulu puts out to pair with it.

This photo shows the Power Purple Define with the Ziggy Wee Caspian Cool Racerback. I tried on the X-long version of the CRB and liked the pattern a lot. It's a bit corporate looking but it's different. As some people have commented the Ziggy Wee fabric is very thick and heavy feeling. I don't think I would use the CRB for working out unless it was for a cold weather low-impact workout where I didn't have to worry about getting too hot. The fabric content on the Ziggy Wee Caspian CRB was 85% nylon, 15% lycra. I might get this CRB but only in a regular length CRB. I'm not a fan of the x-long version.

The Caspian In Stride Jacket is shown with the Blazer Fossil Cool Racerback. This CRB is one of the high poly-content CRBs. I think the mix was something like 94% polyester. This was also one of the thicker polyester cool racerbacks I've felt in awhile, probably similar to the Black Roses print, if any of you have that one.

The Currant In Stride is shown with the Ziggy Wee Grays print Cool Racerback. I tried that one on and the pattern is very subtle. If you like black patterns then this one is a good one. I have a ton of gray/black pattern tops so will pass on this.

Photo of the Blazer Fossil Cool Racerback - one of the thicker polyester CRBs I've tried on in awhile. I liked it but didn't feel immediate lust to own it. My store (South Coast Plaza) also had the matching Bangbuster.

I tried on the Speed Squad tank. It runs big so size down it in. I like the back but the front just has too much material. The website says it's designed for run but I don't think I'd like all the excess material swishing back and forth as I ran. I think it's probably a good tank if you are expecting.

Photos of the Ziggy Wee Flare (got it right this time!) Cool Racerback. My store didn't get this color.

Love how the Currant In Stride looks with the Ziggy Wee Flare CRB in this photo. I wonder if there will be a re-release of the Currant Define. I passed on it last time but might need to add it to my collection. My son's soccer team colors are red and black so I could use a red jacket - lol.

New Groove shorts quilted waistband. That middle red in the top photo looks a bit darker to me - I think it might be Cranberry (or maybe Flare). Anyone see these shorts in person yet? Are there two or three red color blocks on them? The bottom photo makes it look like there are three reds. If there are I'm thinking they are Currant (for sure), Flare, and Cranberry. If there is a Cranberry Define I think I must get it.

Speaking of quilted waistbands, the new boogie shorts one has a block with a chevroned Power Purple pattern. I wonder if we'll see a Cool Racerback in this print (or maybe only the strategic partner stores will get it, not that I'm bitter about the dot Bruised Berry CRB or anything).

Two of the new colors in the Every Yogi LS - heathered Caspian and the Deep Indigo Stripe/Heathered Deep Indigo. I tried on the Currant Every Yogi LS and it was nice but $78 is just too expensive for a very plain long sleeved red shirt.

Showing up at the outlets - a Currant Venus tank. Just wanted to let you know in case you get all excited spotting this on ebay. It's a direct-to-outlet item.

Power Purple Define with the Caspian Stripe Pacesetter Skirt
Caspian Swiftly tank and the Caspian Stripe Pacesetter skirt. Also, Power Purple Define with the same Pacesetter. I bought the Caspian Swiftly tank today. I just love Swiftly tanks for running, indoors or outside. The boob sweat (TMI, I know) also seems to be less obvious in them than my silverescent tanks.

I was hoping to get my hands on the new Angel Energy bra but my store only received it to a size 8. Hopefully it's uploaded next week.

I believe these Inspires are only in Australia/New Zealand currently.

Be Me tee and Unity Pullover - not loving these at all.

Sad to hear the Currant Venus tank is a direct-to-outlet item (why is that? Quality concerns?).

I personally love the Venus Tank, it's not as billowy as the loose-fitting tanks. Unfortunately, since it's a definite size up item, a lot of the bigger sizes are no longer available. :(

Thanks LLA for the review and store report! :)

I tried on the Speed Squad tank last night in a 4 and I really liked it.
I also got the Time Track Crop. it is TTS. They feel like you are wearing nothing. I think they'll be great to sweat in. i do think they are overpriced by $10.

I'm on the fence with the Virtuous Tank. I could barely get the 6 on and that was with unhooking the inner bra. The 8 was too big. It is very flattering and supportive. I not likely how I could see the lines of the shelf bra because the tank was too tight.
I left with it in Power/Dense Purple. I don't know what color bottoms to wear with it. Any ideas? Navy Blue? Gray?

I tried on the Purple Denim Gather and Crow. They looked awesome with the Purple Virtuous tank. I think I maybe need to go back for them.

My store had the energy bras and they are cute but I don't need anymore bras.

Got my angel blue Energy bra! I love it and the girls at my store were saying they were selling quickly. The color is awesome with a tan skin tone. The Ed told me a high rise crp or pant is coming for fall. I love my will pants!

I was in the Melbourne Australia store yesterday and saw the run engage bra in power purple chevron stripe and it is beautiful! Here's hoping there are more items in that print!

@Focus and all...as promised. A fit review of the Virtuous tank! (Why at 3 AM? Well...I have a little cold and the "stuffy nose" feeling woke me up and I can't go back to sleep.....so I thought I'd do something productive instead of tossing and turning in bed.)

My order of the currant and blazer fossil/white arrived yesterday. Tried it out and.....LOVE IT!

Both are made in Cambodia. Checked the stitchings carefully and happy to report that they both look good and tight.
Fabric composition: Both are luon light, as per online and tags. However, there seem to be of two different "types" of luon light. The main front and back panels, "body" for Currant: 92% nylon and 8% lycra,
Blazer: 88% nylon, 12% lycra.
For the "contrast" or side panels, same for both with 87% nylon and 13% lycra. I called GEC to ask if the fabrics are different for the panels but they have no answer to that. The feel and texture of the currant "body" is like a bit thinner regular luon, similar to the currant WUC. The side panels feels more like a true luon light, thinner and more stetchy. For the blazer, all panels felt very similar, thus the nearly identical fabric content. (Feels like the inkblot fabric.)

Okay, now to the more fun "fit" part of the review. I am 5'4", 108ish lbs, and 32AA/34A. Size is TTS, my usual 4 for tops with bras built in. Comfortable fit, not tight at all like some of the earlier reviews of this, at least for me. Length wise, the bottom of tank hits me at 3/4 bum when fully extended but "naturally", with a bit of gathering, 1/2 bum, like the model of the blazer on the website. Happy to report no side boob, though I have not much to spare to begin with and maybe a little bit more pit flab, when compared to my Scoop Me up tank. Not unsightly at all. :) Interestingly, all the pictures of the Virtuous on the web have the model with on hand on the hips and shoulders pulled back. If I strike this pose, all pit flabs disappear! The adjustable bra is a bit of a bummer for me. Not uncomfortable at all when on, but visually "lumpy" where the big hook shows through, especially on the blazer with the white side panels. The currant ones doesn't show as starkly. Also interesting to note a slight "ruching" look on my upper left neckline, (see model with power/dense purple, front view, to better explain what I'm talking about). It is not as pronounced as the web picture on my blazer print and none at all with the currant. The currant btw, is so beautiful in person. The color is more vibrant than the current currant (heehee, just have to put the two side by side-excuse the early morning humor!) The high neck does not choke and look very elegant and modest. Function well with no cleavage problem whe I tested it with a variety of inverted twist poses and holds everything nicely through Chaturanga, urdhva/adho mukha svanasana (plank, push up, upward and downward dog). So the high neck is a major success. The back is as pretty as advertised. Looks like my favorite Free To Be bra. :) The straps do not dig at all, very comfortable! I would say, medium-high support for me. May work even for running (for my cup size) and absolutely fine for any styles of yoga. A happy buy indeed. Have to thank my husband for this, as he is the one who got out of bed, and finally persuaded me to get both colors (after midnight-upload night decision!). The currant sold out in all sizes on upload day! BTW, love the "waspish" waist look that the blazer fossil/white! :)

Part two will follow....

Part two...

Now for a fit review from my fellow yogini who is a size 8 with a 34DDD bust. She said that it is TTS for her. She has been looking furiously for a high neck tank, with no major boob exposure (her words, not mine) when practicing yoga. This one is a real winner for her. She's happy to report no side boobs at all and also an acceptable amout of pit flabs. Holds the girls well (medium support for her but she will pair it up with her Energy bra, for more support). She got the power/dense purple and have ordered another in black.

A "two fer" reviews for two different body types. Please excuse and spelling/grammar errors as this was typed in the wee hours of the morning. I'm going back to bed....

A very happy birthday to you!!! :)

@yogibabe: Thanks for your very lucid early morning reviews. I am similar to you in size (with nothing much to speak of "up front") so I'm glad to see a positive review from you. Looking forward to my current currant tank arriving (am partial to puns and scoop me up tanks too ;)).

I bought the Unity pullover in black ... Wow, it looks waaaaay better on me than the picture here! I'm a 36DD and bought my usual size (8) and it fit great, and looked fantastic, the back is very sexy actually and it's super soft. I could have sized up but the 8 fit like a glove rather than how "sloppy" and unimpressive it looks on the model here. I ended up buying it with the idea that I'll wear it more as a dress up item vs over my workout clothes. I teamed it with my tango red full eagle tank and leggings and sparkly flip flops for a cooler summer evening at the beach and I got lots of compliments and "where did you get that sweater??". The currant peeking out the back and the bottom was nice. So for those of you still waiting for your order, don't despair just yet!! :)

Focus said...

Yogibabe-thank you! Did you notice any weird line in the tank above the bra portion? Like right above your breast?

For anyone looking, the Lulu website has currant scuba size 8.

Sourkraut said...

yogibabe, hope you get better soon!

I have to say that even though I'm not a fan of quilting/color block nor am I a fan of the ziggy pattern I really liked that waistband on the Boogie shorts. Somehow all of the crazy designs and colors worked together in such small doses. Too bad they're way too short and tight for my figure. I went ahead and tried them on anyway since I liked the combination of fabrics but that just confirmed that I cannot pull that style off.

I just got good/bad news today that my little brother's moving from the east coast to Dallas in the fall. That means he'll no longer be just a road trip away whenever I want to visit. Once I stopped crying about it my next thought was, "Ooh, I wonder if there's a Lulu or two in Dallas?" A sure sign of an addict. I'll try to focus on the possibility of exploring new Lulu stores in order to keep myself from crying at work today. I'm such a wuss.

Focus said...

Anon 4:50-thank you as well for the report on the unity pullover! I love that top but have been concerned about the visual appearance of the differering fabrics. Glad to hear that you love yours, and that it is a TTS item.

Anon @ 5:15 a.m.- I live in Dallas, and we've got two great stores (one is supposedly the highest-grossing location in the U.S.), as well as a few show rooms. The educators here are terrific- you will love it!!

The every yogis LS......looks like its super form fitting and tight. I'm slender, but just had a baby.... looks like a top that would show front rolls and looks super tight in the arms. opinions please! :)

@Focus
I knew I've forgotten something for the review. Yes, I knew of the weird line above the breast that you are talking about. (The seams that look like a "demi bra" on the shelf bra part of the tank.)No, it's not very pronounced on me with the currant and not visible at all with the blazer fossil. The sideways zigzag camouflaged the lines and it's only somewhat visible on the side white panels.

However, my friend with 34DDD mentioned that she noticed the lines more. She is still keeping it and ordering the other in black because as she puts it, "They almost never make a high neck tank that works and doesn't choke!". So it must be bust/cup size related. As mentioned above, I am of the AA/A persuasion. One of the extra merits of being an "A" student! lol!!!

@Sourkraut
Thanks! I'm sure it's just a minor cold as I am feeling much better as we speak (or type). Still debating if I will be going with the family for my son's surf camp. It's always cold and foggy at that beach in the mornings. But if I go, I will get to put my newish caspian blue Scuba to good use in Summer!
And about your little brother moving to Dallas. There's always a good side to any bad news. Think of all the lulu stores that you can hit enroute to his place, if you decide to brave the very long road trip. Or at least you can enjoy the stores with friendly educators in Dallas! :)

@3grrls
Good evening to you in Singapore!
LOL on the pun and am an ardent fan of the Scoop Me Ups too. ;)

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but how does the Every Yogi LS compare to the Cabin LS II? I LOOOVE my Cabin SL, I have three. Wear them everywhere come fall. The Be Me Tee does not photograph well, but would certainly cover me up on the metro :) Maybe it will make it to markdown.

Loving my new angel blue energy bra. Wore it to body pump today under a flash stripe crb and I got so many compliments. Now I have to decide what else I have besides white and black that it will look good under.

Anonymous said...

I tried on the angel enrgy bra and I wanted to love it, but there is, strangely, so much extra fabric on the front of the bra. You can even see it a little bit on the lovely woman above. And she is well-endowed. You'd think she could stretch out the fabric so that it was smooth. I am 34A and this bra, no matter that I sized down to a 4 (and it looked like a sausage casing around my back) still had extra fabric hanging in the front. I even put in size 6 or 8 cups! FYI for smaller gals. Vicki

Thanks 6:28 and 6:27. :) I want a pair of wedge or something with a small heel...that is brown leather and has that "worn" look. I found a lovely pair of Frye shoes...but I can't seem to find in any stores in Canada that sell Frye SHOES. lots sell the boots, but I would love a place that sold the shoes. If anyone has any ideas of a place I can order shoes, like the ones I'm looking for, let me know. I love that worn leather look...and I love your ideas! :) I'm in Canada. THANKS so much!

Tried on the Energy Bra in the new gorgeous Angel Blue, and though I love the color the bra did nothing for me and I did not buy it! I am a 34C. Love the look of the virtuous tank but really dislike two tones and I have enough-actually too many black tanks and tops all ready! Wish they made it in all purple or another solid color besides Currant, because I am not a 'red' person either. The Unity Pullover looks great, they didn't have it in my stores a few days ago so I couldn't try it on. I am waiting for more coverup pieces that are not skin tight and are more elegant looking.

OT- I'm thinking of getting an It's a Cinch Dress and was wondering how TTS it fits. I wear an 8 in CRBs usually and like to wear a 10 in the built in bra tops so I can breathe. I haven't ever tried one on and was wondering if any of you lovely ladies can help me out. I usually wear an 8/10 on top (34 DD bust, 5' 7.5" tall, 34" inseam) and almost always an 8 in LLL on bottom. I don't have much experience with the Vitasea material.

thanks in advance for your help and advice.

OT but for those ladies who were thinking of Nancy Rose as another workoutwear option, I received my order yesterday and was a bit disappointed in the fabric. Supportive inner bras yes, but the fabric was a very dense and heavy almost-cottony feel and less of sweat-wicking performance-intending feel. I could barely get a couple tops over my shoulders so the fit is snug and the fabric doesn't stretch well (almost like it's missing a lycra component?).

Not dogging the brand at all, just giving a fabric review. Lulu could take notes on the beautiful designs on the tanks, a couple that are so different from what I've ever seen that I may be keeping them.

7:40 Fran.... I own 2 of these dresses. I'm slender, except I have 38DD ta tas! I wear size 6 in Lulu jackets, and I like to wear 8s and 10s in my tops and tanks. mostly 8s in my tops....and sometimes 10s for boobage room. I don't like tight or formfitting. I have these dresses in size 8 and they fit nicely, although....I don't wear them a lot, because I notice with my sports bra on...the dress shows off a little back fat. I'm 5'6 and around 137lbs. I still have 20lbs to get off of me, from having a child. hope that helps! :)

Sourkraut,

So funny... Right after booking a trip to Colorado I checked to see if there is a LL store in Denver. Of course there is! I hope it's close to the Ritz Carlton. Denver LL here I come (in Oct.)!

By the way, I gather from reading along you live in PA. Have you been to the King of Prussia store? I live in Jersey and usually shop (LL) in Princeton and Marlton. I shop in King of Prussia occasionally but just realized there is a LLL store there. Is it nicer than the Walnut Street store?

Is the Energy bra TTS? Will definitely order if it is uploaded :) I am a 6 in Power Y's, CRB's, and 50 Rep Bra. Sized up to 8 in Scoop Me Up because it cut into my armpit. I am a 34C. Should I stick with 6? I'm thinking 8 cause I don't want it to dig into my back but idk.

Speaking of the Scoop Me Up, it was a fail for yoga :(
I LOVE the Scoop Neck as I can wear it for short runs or yoga. I bought the Scoop Me up knowing it's only enough support for yoga. I sized up to an 8 because as I mentioned the armholes felt too tight and constrictive. The body portion on the 8 is loose and flow-y rather than body hugging but not too much. I got the Pop Orange because the material felt lighter and more stretchy than others. But my boobs were falling out everywhere and the tank kept riding up :(

I have a 4 month old and this top was unforgiving on me. I scrunched up the super long bottom (I'm 5'4") to hide the soft belly, but that just made me look thick around the middle.

I bought the energy bra and struggled between a 6 & an 8 also. I am 34C and the 6 was a little snug but in the end I went with it and am glad because it is very supportive and stretches out a bit. I did notice what one of the other commenters had said that the material bunches a little and definitely would be hard to wear if you are A/B. Since I'm wearing under tanks I find it to be ok. Also loved the angel blue and it was almost sold out at my store by Wednesday!

I have worn my scoop me up tank for high cardio activities and it gives me enough support as long as I put the cup inserts in. I am normally a 4 in LLL tops but bought a 6 in this tank. The bodice is a loose on me, but the bra portion I have found to be really supportive! I am a 34C as well. I guess it just goes to show that it takes all body types to make a world and some things for some and not others :)

I live in Dallas too, and I'm curious whether the highest-grossing location you referred to is Northpark or Galleria. I always shop at Northpark when I do go into the store, but I've never been that impressed with its selection of the newest releases, so I usually buy online (though the poor selection could be because I'm the same size as a lot of the eds and they set aside what they want of the new stuff before putting it out). It would make sense though given its location for it to be bringing in major sales $$.

Anonymous said...

Hi! I wore my energy bra for the first time today for a cardio workout. Like anon above, I too struggled between a 6 and 8. After working out, I believe the 6 was the right choice. The 8 would have been loose after some stretch. I'm a 34D. Awesome support on this bra!

I bought the Be Me tee in that grey color. I sized down, and that made a big difference. I am 5'5" and my normal size 6 would probably fit as it does on the model above. Sizing down it is still flowy, but not nearly as long and dress-like. I wore it as a layer to and from yoga yesterday, and really loved how soft it was. I also like how it kind of shows the back of your top and straps in the back without plunging down too much, so you stay warm enough too. I live in southern California, so I don't always need a jacket, and this is a nice lighter fall transitional layer.

One gripe is that it wrinkles easily - not just the crepe-y back portion, but the front where I wore my seatbelt (for the 10 minute or less drive to yoga) was pretty wrinkly.

Gina, I'm actually in southern NJ, just outside of Philly so my usual shopping haunt is the Marlton store. I've only been to King of Prussia once and to the Philly store one time to track down a shirt no one else had. I was a little surprised by how small the KOP store was although it seemed to have a variety of items including the Wanderful Flare pants the Marlton store never got. I'd say it's about on par with the Philly shop. Maybe it's a tiny big smaller but that could just be my imagination. Aside from the Marlton store often not getting certain items in stock ever or at least being a few weeks behind the uploads I have to say I'm pretty spoiled by that one. It's large, everyone's friendly, and they've never given me any issues with returns.

How's the Princeton store in comparison? I rarely head up that way but have been wanting to do a little photography trip to that area anyway. I side trip to Lulu wouldn't be so bad either.

I tried on the energy bra yesterday in a 4 and a 6. I am a 32D/DD and neither size fit right. The fabric bunched up under my Ta tas making it look terrible. If I pulled it down my ribcage it would just bunch up as soon as I moved. So disappointing.

The educator at my local store was hinting toward more angel blue stuff coming in... they don't usually put out just one item in a color. So I would assume more styles in angel blue in the future. Hopefully a CRB is in the near future. Ahh.. wouldn't that caspian blue twisted stripe be the best in a CRB? Wishful thinking....

Claire at the GEC is the bomb digity!! I had a lengthy conversation with her this morning regarding the Unity pullover. She was so helpful with both pros and potential cons...long story short, I pulled the trigger and got my pullover. I'm super happy because they are now sold out in my selected color and size. I have one item a week that ends up as a Friday AM consideration, and I never act on my "desire", then It sells out by Friday afternoon!!
I then spend the next 4 weeks waking up in the wee hours to scour the site for a random re-stock, which sometimes happens, but not frequently. Don't worry I'll still wake up in the wee hours to check on things for my Lulu sisters, but I won't be checking on this pullover:) Happy Friday!

Yay Philly girls! I go to the one on Walnut in Center City maybe twice a week and there is ALWAYS something new and TONS of stock. I went in two days ago, got a couple of Currant items. Then again today with a friend - now there are new Capsian Blue items (which I bought of course)!

Highly recommend this store to the Jersey/Philly girls. I actually think it has a better selection than the KOP store.

I so addicted :P

I find that the energy bra fits differently in different colors. I have two size 6's-citron and coal. I almost never wear the coal because it is so much tighter. I bought angel blue in 8 because my store had no 6's left. Actually, that's not true. The educator offered me the one (a 6) off the torso "model" but the bra was so stretched out from the huge bosoms of the mannequin.

@ beachmama - thanks! I seem to always strike out at the SCP store when it comes to sizes or the latest items so I've been heading to FI most of the time for the past few months. My oldest needed new sneakers and Sport Chalet is near the SCP lulu so that's why we went there. I did get to see the new Scubas, though. People are right, they fit looser than previous models and are softer. Hoping for some interesting prints and colors this year.

LuluAddict said...

@ Monkey Girl - the Every Yogi LS is very similar to the Cabin except it is much longer. The edges aren't finished on the sleeves and bottom hem, though. I have the first Cabin with the stitching around the neck, sleeves, etc. and I much prefer that look to the plainer version of the new Every Yogi. However, the Every Yogi is soft and warm. It's a nice top but just so pricey at $78.

LuluAddict said...

@ Aimee - You are far more likely to have a one-off color in Scubas than in anything else. It also happens to CRBs now and then, too. However, the fact that a bra came out in Angel makes me believe more is coming. I love Angel and I love the Energy Bra. It's my favorite lulu bra after the Ta Ta Tamer.

LuluAddict said...

Oh so back to Portapottie - I'm thinking it's likely the only bright green we'll see at least for awhile. Lulu takes their color cues from whatever palettes the fashion industry says are going to be popular for the upcoming season. I know there is a website that posts them but I'm not sure what it is right now. So, unless the fasion industry is predicting a return of Kelly-green we most likely will not see any green workout clothes. I also think the bright greens are more of a spring/summer color than fall/winter. That is when Savage came out.

OT, Since we talk about everything on this forum, may I ask your opinion on something quite vain?

How you do all wear your hair at the gym? I do crossfit/yoga/rock climbing etc so a mix of high/low impact workouts and while I like to look good while working out, this question is not just appearance related. I wear my hair in a ponytail but that causes a lot of breakage around the hairline and I have tried a lot of options but everyting pulls and tugs at my forehead. So just wondering if you have any creative solutions?

Thanks!

Got my 1st pair of boogie shorts in the mail yesterday. I'm usually a size 6 (rarely a 4) but the boogies in a 6 felt tight in the waist. No major muffin top, but still not flattering. Has anyone sized up in there? I'd love some feedback so I can decide if I should keep the 6 or order an 8. Help!!! For reference, I'm 5'1, 112 lbs.

I also got my 1st bang buster. It's awesome! I have a small-medium head, and it fits perfect -- not too tight, and not falling off. I even think it's cute, so I may end up wearing it casually when I'm have a bad hair day.

Any word yet on the denim astro pants?? I haven't seen any reviews/comments on them. I think they're cute, and they're starting to sell out of the bigger sizes online.

Lastly, anyone think they'll be an arise bra out soon! I wasn't yet an addict when they came out this spring, but I love how they look. Any guesses on their return? Any fit advice/reviews before I set my heart on one? I'm a 32d/dd but would like an easy, comfy bra for lounging and low-impact weight lifting.

Thanks!!!

Can somebody explain to me what the difference is between the Stride and the In Stride jackets?

Anonymous said...

@ anon 10:41- the strides have a hood and are usually a bit thicker than the in strides, at least in my experience. The basic fit/appearance of the jackets are the same though! I personally would love the occasional stride to come back as then I could wear them more to-and-from when it's raining!

Anu...10:23: I go to myurbanhalo.com and wear one of their head scarves!!!! I also use small pins to pin back all my long hair! :) Looks very sexy with an urban halo scarf on!! I own 23 different kinds and they cover the head well, with a little hair showing if u want! And they stay put! hope this suggestion helps.

Hi 3crazykids!

Thanks for the NRP top info. I haven't ordered any tops from there because I prefer technical pieces that can wick moisture and I think everything I saw on the NRP Tops site is composed of cotton.

Interesting to know about the stretch capability because I do have shoulders that sometimes make fittings a challenge.

Indeed the patterns are nice!

Amy, I love the Arise bras, and have even e-mailed the GEC to ask about their return (just received the usual "maybe" response).
They are a "size up" item for me. After I bought my first one, I bought every other one I could find in my size and am glad I did, though I'd still like more! I wear them for low-impact exercise as well as for casual use. For your sake and mine, I hope they bring it back!

@Amy

I use the boogie shorts for hot yoga an I find that they loosen up as you're working out. I don't recommend sizing up in them. I wear a size 6 too. 5' 3", 118 lbs, 36" hip.

I also don't recommend sizing up in the denim astro pants. I have the denim astro wunder under crops and if you size up the waist band would be too big. The denim isn't as stretchy as plain Luon, but it also loosens up when worn. Also, be advised that the denim is thicker, heavier than regular Luon. I only use mine in the winter.

Pink Peony 4 said...

@ Allison: you are still making me laugh about the wmtm stuff. I totally agree. Same things that have been sold out the last 3 uploads to wmtm keep reappearing.

Stride is a hoodie and the in stride is regular neckline. I never noticed other differences. I have both and the hoodie does not serve much purpose IMO. I'm sure as I say this, come winter I will be reaching for a hoodie during football season outdoors.

@Anu: I have long straight hair and wear mine in a high pony tail then braid it down. I tie it with a slip less hair tie at the top and end of braid. I always use a headband. My fave is still the slipless for high sweat sessions. I usually end up twirling the braid around the top tie and tuck it in since the end gets wet and bothers me when it touches my back. This has worked for me. I wear lots of those clips (the kind the gymnasts use-- how about me being trendy) to secure the layers of my hair to my head. Today though for yoga I just put it up in a high bun with those little claw clips around. It stayed surprisingly since my hair is thick and fights everything that I use to tame it down. You might need to wear yours in a low pony tail since you have breakage problems. Mine tugs since my hair is somewhat heavy. It gives me a headache if I keep it in a high ponytail too long. Hope this helps.
@anon 10:38 am: I think the Arise bra is low support and having a D/DD might be a challenge for you. If it's just for lounging around it might be ok but try it on. These bras always have some sort of a surprise even for those who have owned them before. I'm glad the bang buster worked for you. I ordered some online and they keep falling off my head. Quite aggravating when all I was doing was walking around the house and tending my plants. My hair is slick and I'm sure I have a big head (in more ways than one).
The Currant Energy bra BLEEDS. This is not a surprise but I want to let y'all know. I will be washing my currant virtuous tank today (as soon as my knuckles recover from the arduous task of hand washing all bleeders last night-- ha ha).
I will also handwash the pow pink power Y I ordered online a couple of weeks ago.
I wore my purple speed squad tank today and I will wash it later.
@sourkraut: one of my daughters goes to college in the big D. I have tons of college friends there (circa '89). They do have those stores they mentioned earlier. It is 3.5 hours from me but I will be shopping there more now that my baby is there. FUN!!!

Every yogi LS is way too long for me. The cabin LS is also too long but not bad. Of course I am only 5'2". I like folding it over for the other color to peek out. I did not buy a EYLS. The currant is way too cute with the heathered dune or off white reverse (not sure what it is really called). I wanted to get one coz it was so soft and really sharp but no go. I heard you can have them shorten it for you at the store.

BTW, I got my dune bliss bag (WMTM) today and it is soo nice. It is a Xmas present for my sister so I better lay off it.

Ok y'all laters for more washing report.

Anon 11:20 and AZ Lulu - thank you both!

I'm hoping more arise bras on on their way. The simple design in the back looks like it wouldn't tug on my shoulders too much. Sometimes tight racerback sports bras (or even halter baithing suits) give me headaches from the stress on my shoulders. Anyone else have this problem?

For boogie shorts (or any pants), does the quilted waistband make them feel tighter at all? My observation from the website is that they look tighter in the waist. O how I wish I lived by a store!!

Thank you for the info about the denim. I don't think I would ever work out in them, but they look like they'd be great for casual wear... As long as they don't look like pajama jeans. Lol.

Has anyone heard if the Currant CRB is a bleeder? I like the color but don't want to deal with the hassle if it bleeds.

Anonymous said...

Thoughts on what colours to wear with a currant red Scuba Hoodie?

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know the fit on the unity pullover? Is it true to size or should one size up or down?
Thanks!

Anonymous said...

Macfrannie, the cinch dress is fantastic. I have two and wear them each several times a month. They fit TTS and skim the body in a flattering way w/o being tight or clingy. Neither of mine are see through, which some reviewers complained about.
I am only 5'1" and it's the perfect length for me (above the knee!)

Sourkraut said...

I know that with Lulu it's pointless to say "I wish" but I can't help but wish they'd keep staples like bras in stock and not phase them in and out at random. I've been shopping there for five+ months and have tried on every bra they've offered in that time and have only liked one: the Bound bra. Of course, I only bought one and held out hoping they'd come out with more/better colors (especially since two were known bleeders) and now find myself regretting that decision since they've been phased out. They're good about coming up with a variety of designs for different levels of activity and bras that are obviously suited for different-sized ladies so why not always offer that variety? Right now there's absolutely nothing in the store that appeals to me for a small-ish bust for running. Everything's either not supportive enough or is too constrictive and has too much fabric for my small boobs. Of course, looking on eBay I see those bras are now going for $75+. Not worth it for me. I'll have to make due with only one sports bra in my wardrobe.

Oh, and thanks to everyone who's been saying good things about Dallas. I'm feeling much better about his move now that I've had a few hours to adjust to the news. I'm seeing some trips to Dallas and Austin (where I have some friends) in my future!

Anonymous said...

I also love the bang buster. I have to fold it over alittle bit as it is a lot of material for my head. But it actually stays on my head. Other headbands slide to the back of my head and then pop off after a while. I do have a really small head. Also, I tried on the Scoop Me Up Tank. I sized up and found there still was not enough room for my 36DD. The line inthe shirt cut my girls and was not flattering. Although I did like the adjustability of the bra. Did anyone get the NLT in Pow Pink? For some reason that is the softest NLT I have felt. Highly recommend!

Anonymous said...

Anon 10.23 i have long thick hair and was finding the same with lots of ponytail breakage around the neck (and the ponytail getting super knotty outdoors). I wear a French plait or plain plait always, together with a bang buster for any fly aways and keeping it out of my way. Keeps me happy!

Hi All, I am four hours from a store but I was in the city doing errands yesterday so I visited one and I have a couple reports that might help some : )

The caspian stripe pattern on the pacesetter skirt is beautiful! Really hoping for a speed shorts in this pattern.

I tried in and bought the speed squad tank. I agree there is a little too much material at the bottom front but overall I found it flattering and different, and I plan on running in it - hope I get a nice breeze. I live in a cold climate but run very hot and I can't stand tanks against my skin except the swiftly racerbacks. So I mostly run in loose ones like stuff my bra or tame me. I got the power purple speed squad and in the store it looked almost like a darker version of grapeseed - a purple with blue undertones. Got it home and they must have had weird light in the store because it's definitely a purple with red undertones. Still nice though. I'm not a red person but the currant in this tank was beautiful.

Personally I didn't like the ziggy stuff but that's just me. I also didn't like the purple denim gather and crows, the colour was lighter than I expected. I do LOVE the deep indigo (with sort of a bruised berry undertone) colour. I tried on the discover crops in that colour and loved them - great fit, TTS, but don't know what I'd wear them for other than casual. And I'm trying to train myself to wear 'real clothes' not just lulu and leggings for casual.

One thing I noticed that annoyed me was differing markdown prices. The sun runner short sleeve in flask light was $39 in that store but is $49 online.

The caspian, portapottie and dense purple scuba were all gorgeous and super soft. I tried it on but I wouldn't size down, personally.

I saw LLA above commented that swiftlies are awesome and show les sweat than silverescent. I agree and thought I would also note how seriously fragile silverescent is. I wore a top to a (short) race and I had a soft elastic race number belt. It completely destroyed my favorite silverescent shirt. I also prefer swiftlies.

Finally, I asked awhile ago about the dart and dash shorts vs. the reverse groove shorts for running. (thanks for feedback all!). So I decided to exchange my unworn reverse grooves for dart and dash. I got home, ripped tags off and went for a run. I'm not in love. They feel too tight and low at the waist (I even sized up but couldn't go bigger as the shorts started to get loose). I feel super muffiny in them and don't know how much I'll reach for them. Incentive to tone up but doesn't feel good to wear. Also I thought they had the silicone on inner leg to keep them from riding up (like shorty short) but they don't. So they rode. I also found the reverse grooves I took back were more flattering for my thighs (but dart and dash better for butt). Finally, I notice a seam coming undone in crotch - and I am 4 hrs from a store. Grrrr! I might keep them but get some reverse grooves too...I'll see.

And on that final note - thighs! How can I get them thinner?! I saw someone on here once say nothing worked on their thight like Pure Barre and that it was amazing. I would love to try it but I live in a tiny town and there is no such thing - and I'm not the type to stay committed to a video. And other thigh ideas? They are just annoying!!! Overall I'm in pretty good shape and run a lot, but I have lots of extra on the inside and outside of my thighs.

Thanks all, and hope some of that helps!!!

returned a pair of pow pink WUs to the store today because they were bleeding and Lulu took them back, no questions asked! Wow what a turn around in customer service!! Loving it!

Anonymous said...

@ anon 1:11- you cant pick and chose where you lose fat on your body unfortunately, but with a good diet you will definitely lose more fat. If you are worried about your thigh area, i suggest squats and lunges to build up the muscles so that they will be nice and toned when you work off what you want to. HOWEVER- I think every woman should feel fabulous just they way God made them!! Good luck with your journey :).

If you are in the Philly/NJ area I suggest checking out the Wayne, PA Lululemon store as well. It's smaller than KOP, but I honestly think their selection is better in the times that I have gone. Wayne is only about 6.5 miles from KOP.

I'd say the Princeton store is only ok. I have never found their selection of clothes to be all that great.

Anon-12:48 in the Unity, I've heard it is TTS with a slight probability of being snug through the shoulders/arms. If you are between sizes, it, apparently, looks better to size down. I have no personal experience, but am going with my normal size.

Anonymous said...

I found the Unity Pullover to be way too tight in the arms in my normal size... plus the back looked horrible on me! Such weird wrinkly fabric! I couldn't stand having to iron a pullover. lol.

The Arise bra is also my absolute favorite Lulu bra. So super comfortable and it pairs perfectly with a CRB. This ones a size up bra for me though :)

Question: Do you wear your Studio Crops as tight as the model in the deep indigo stripe Every Yogi LS and currant Studio Crops outfit? Is that how they're supposed to fit? Maybe she's pulling them tight for the pic because the front view drapes fine.

I wear SCs to yoga class and I can't imagine flowing from pose to pose in tight fitting swift fabric. BTW, SCs great for summer yoga when WUCs are too warm. They're a hip version of the Be Present woven yoga pants.

anon re: arise bra...i think you said you were a d/dd? i am a c and find the arise does NOT work for me. no support, very little coverage. im sure others may not have the same experience as each body is unique of course but i sized up and the thing sits in my drawer. my normal size was very tight around the bottom band. sizing up it fit comfortably on the band but i don't wear it at all for even low impact activities. its cut small imho.

@sourkraut: I live 35 miles from Austin. They have 2 LLL stores there. And while you're there, why not go Mexicana and visit San Antonio? Only 75 miles away. That's nothing when you're in Texas! They have 1 store. Of course you should also consider going to a rodeo or good Tex Mex food (plentiful) and maybe boot scootin'. So much to do in Texas but it does get pretty hot (like right now) but the winters are so mild. Scubas might be an overkill...

So I'm taking back the cranberry scarf (waaay too much fabric for me), the ziggy flare CRB (colour was too dark) and the dense purple gather & crows. The gather & crows in the denim were too tight on me. I also bought a pair of deep indigo relaxed fit crops that look awesome. I think I will exchange the gather & crows for another pair. I don't think I'll buy any more ziggy patterned things but I would definitely buy a cranberry CRB or define/stride jacket if it came out. The colour was really nice against my pale skin and brown hair. :)

Sourkraut,

I used to shop in the Princeton store fairly regularly till the Marlton store opened. Marlton gets a wider variety of stock. I've never had a bad experience with sales people in either location. Parking is sometimes hard to find in Princeton. If you can't get metered parking, you may have to resort to a parking garage. I visit the Marlton store every week or two but my trips to the Princeton location are down to every other month, which is about as often as I get to Walnut Street. Usually, I stop at Walnut Street when I'm already in the city for dinner with my other half. The staff there are really nice also!

Got the new groove shorts today, and there is 3 different red color blocks in the pattern -- one is currant, one is a red slug color, and the 3rd is a darker red, possibly a cranberry color? It is the prettiest red in my opinion, it's a warmer color (I find the currant a little too bright). What I didn't notice when I ordered these shorts, is that the other color in the waist band is not white, it is caspian blue, and yuck...I don't like these colors together personally. I will wait and see if they release the tall groove short in that purple quilted pattern...

Sorry if this is repeating information already listed here, I didn't have time to read all 90+ comments tonight :)

@ 5:52 AM on shoes...Nine West is better than some you've listed. You can shop on-line in Canada in the Canadian store. They have sales all the time. Free shipping over $75. I will caution you on sizing...I am generally a 9 in a closed toe but sometimes a 9 is too big depending on the style and I have to go 8 1/2. I'm able to try on in store though before I buy, not sure if you are close to stores. Also, ordering on line, make sure you get a confirmation email that it shipped. If you don't get one soon enough, follow up to them. Their customer service is great!

I needed new glasses, bec. My old ones were all scratched up by my pussycat. I don't want you coming home with any $800 glasses or Im going to kill you!" LOL.... My eye test was $200 and we have this insurance and that insurance, so I said whatever....I'm looking at glasses and I'm buying a pair TODAY!

She takes me over to the cheap side and I walk right over to the Desinger wall...I pick up 2 pairs, try them on, ask for prices and say, "I want those ones!" I ended up with VERSACE! LOL... I come home, show them to My husband and he's like, "who's VER-SACE???!" What brand is that? never heard of them!? Are they expensive? My answer, "you know my friend, Louis Vuitton??? I went to my local lulu store to return Ebb & Flow crops today due to sheerness. The Educator at the cash was very courteous. She said that they'd "been educated" that there was a sheerness issue with the E&B. While I shopping in the store, I mentioned to another Educator that I could see my underwear through all of the crops that I'd tried on so far. His response was, "The problem is your underwear." He was serious, y'all. I just laughed and walked away.
Tried on a bunch of stuff, some old, some new but only bought studio crops. The Energy Bra in Angel Blue is gorgeous. I do find that it runs a smidgeon big and so if you're in between sizes I would size down. That said, I wear my bras tight for high impact workouts because I like no movement whatsoever. Just call me 'Uniboob'.
Discover Crops - these did nothing for me. They weren't flattering on and I found them a little long for crops. They did fit TTS.
Flow Y in Ziggy Wee - ok, I hated the pattern when I saw it online, especially in the overload pic, but in small doses it's really cute. And I found the Flow Y soft, comfortable and fit TTS.
CRB in blazer fossil felt thin and scratchy to me. But I haven't bought a CRB in over a year so maybe they've changed? It didn't feel half as good as my Wish Blue CRB that I wore the other day. I normally size down in CRBs but this one was a little tight.
Lastly, tried on what I think is called the Will crop. Sorry if I get this wrong. Didn't think I'd be posting a review. It's the crop version of a cross between a still and wunder under. It was a huge miss for me because I have large thighs and it's a relaxed fit with a tapered ankle. I took it off as quickly as possible but it was amazingly comfy. I saw it in grey, black and heathered blue. It's cute but not for me.
It was a fun visit. Now on to hoping for an amazing upload next week so that I can stop wearing out my old Lulu!

@ 7:19 PM, thanks & love your glasses story and your sense of humour!

@ Ali 7:22 oh no...I have practiced for many years...used to go to class years ago, and of course kept it up at home as you are supposed to do with yoga re: true practice...and I would wear good stuff at home, but not all LLL. (Although I was all over LLL for running). THEN a year & half ago, I decided to go back to classes and take up hot yoga...needless to say this cranked up my wanting more clothes for yoga...and of course I bought some Scubas, which I never looked at before, and jackets...lol, it's very easy to get drawn in more deeply...

@ 7:35 PM oh sorry to hear the Ebb & Flow didn't work for you! It's a very odd crop re: sheer on some and not on others (NOT blaming your body...hate it when people do that with the E&F, comes in various sizes, should work for all!) They are VERY slightly sheer on me (indigo & grey pairs) that I wear nude seamless underwear and it solves my issue. I LOVE the E&F! I wish they'd make some more deep colours like a plum colour!

Anon 7:35 - should have specified that the Flow Y was Ziggy Wee Caspian.

I think I read here in a comment today that a cranberry color is expected to come out based on the groove waistband? Sooo maybe we'll get a CRB in cranberry? Just wondering as I was all set to buy the currant CRB but it was not the color I expected (in person)...am after more a cranberry.

I wear my Toms with Studio Crops or flip flops for casual wear. Mine are loose-ish, but I tried on a small size and they were a tad snug. I wish the Om Pants were made of the same fabric of SCs. Both are nice, since I live in Phoenix where it's often over 100 for more than five months of the year.

Anonymous said...

@anon 7:51 - It's too bad because they fit amazingly well and are so comfortable. I tried a few seamless underwear but it didn't help. Nude isn't nude on me. :)
I would have tried sizing up but my local store didn't have any size 10 and they're sold out online. I'll keep trying new batches to see if I find a pair that work. And if the consistency is ever resolved I will likely buy a pair in every colour, too! My husband would roll his eyes to read me obsessing about crops. Of course, I get an earful about Steam sales.

OT but does anyone know why the Om Leotard is off the website? I can't believe it's sold out. I am not a small girl by any means but I have to say I tried in on in store (there were lots, btw), and I kind of loved it. But $140 is a bit steep for something I might never have the guts to wear in public. Still... wmtm??? I might just go for it....

Anonymous said...

I'm so glad the nasty girls have taken the day off! Nothing but class tonight!

Anonymous said...

How long does it normally take for totes to sell out online? i'm eying the Om tote, but want to wait and see what is uploaded in power purple or angle blue before I take the plunge on such an expensive gym bag! haha any ideas?

OT. Has anyone eve tried Karma Wear? What do you think. It seems to be a Canadian company and is slowly coming to the USA in stores like Nordstrom. Thanks!

Hi all, thanks for the fit advice on the boogie shorts. I decided to keep my regular size 6 and try them out tonight. They do stretch a bit and feel less muffin-y as I wear them. I do P90X in my living room, so no one to impress. Lol.

What are your thoughts on the deja vu scarf? I initially never thought I'd spend that much money on a scarf!... But the more I look, the more I want it. I really like the bulk of fabric. And living in the pacific northwest, I have about 9-10 months out of the year to wear it. Any comparable/similar scarves anyone would recommend?

OHHH an did you ladies see the scuba *sparkle special edition? I just noticed it tonight... It looks just like the heathered white one that was uploaded the other week along with the dense purple, portiepotie, and caspian ones. I even read on one of the comment threads that that one had sparkles running through it. But then there are those 2 review from last year. Any idea what's going on with this? I'm looking to purchase my 1st scuba! Ahh!

Thanks!
Amy

Calling all Frye lovers... has anyone seen the Veronica Slouch Boots SLATE color in real life? I think it looks really gorgeous online but just not sure if its practical? Kinda looks grey toned which I like. And I seem to wear an 8-9 in shoes depending on the brand so would I be safest going for 8.5?!?
Also don't suppose anyones tried the Regina ballet flats?
Thanx ladies :)

I have two bruised berry jackets (define-love the fit & in stride-love the dots). The power purple is gorgeous in person, and I'm thinking about buying it. Anyone have any thoughts on whether that's too much purple? Do I need the power purple if I have two BB?

The new ziggy wu pants feel like the ebb and flow material! I love them! They are very silky smooth. They don't feel like the ziggy xl crb, which feels like thick sweater material

Hi NicoleC,
I just bought those and will receive them next week. I bought them on amazon for $200 something!

@Anon 6:41 - I like Bunheads (very ASP dialogue) but haven't seen the latest episodes so will have to check it out. Love LLL sightings.

@Nik - Not really a review but I've had a couple of Karma tanks in my save-it-for-later list for weeks now. My yogi friend recommended them and she was the one to convert me to LLL so I trust her judgement. I just haven't taken the plunge yet because there's always something I like better on LLL. :-)

Thank you for your very helpful review! I'm a 34b and have always been a bit wary of this bra. Was tempted by the new blue but after reading your review, I have confirmed its not for me.

Thank u 7:48 I love funny stories. Glasses girl here, who was looking for shoes. To Nicole C. I have a new pair of Veronica slouch boots in dark brown. I'm 5'6 and a bit....with size 6.5 feet. I often end up buying 6s and 7s but prefer 6.5. I read on Frye website, if between sizes size down!!!! I thought this sounded odd, so I looked on Internet at other reviews. Most people said go with your usual size and a few said size up! LOL... I live 18 hrs from a Frye store....so I called a store and spoke with someone higher up. I explained...one foot is a 6 and one is a 6.5 She said I would most likely be OK with the 6.5 She was right....6.5 is right on....although one boot needs to be broken in a bit, on the instep. you should find a store that has the color boot you want.....and ASK THEM, to email you some actual pics! this is exactly what I did, because Frye boots, I'm told.....come in different batches/and slightly different shades with each batch! :) (The owner of a store told me this) The VSlouch boot is GORGEOUS, although very pricy!!!! :) LOVE MINE and now, I'm going to try and get the Frye shoe I want! I got the boots, to go with my Versace glasses! HAHA! .....don't tell hubby! ;) LOL... Dough!

Love Karma wear...Nice quality and fit. reently purchased fitted crops and they were not sheer at all!

Also, all those Nancy Rose performance fans!...Send them an email if you are a fitness instructor. They will send you a 20% off code. Now, that's service! Lulu won't do that online. I've tried...You have to go to the store, and if you live many miles away, that's a pain!

@ 8:26 PM on the bags...for recent bags, the Bliss Bag and the Flow & Go Bag, some original colours uploaded went pretty quickly. Then you know how a new colour will appear. So if the colours you see are not the one you really want you could always wait for other colours. Eventually colours for both the Bliss and F&G sat on the website for a long time and then eventually migrated to wmtm...you could always try waiting too. I waited for the BB and got the one I wanted (dune). F&G didn't drop in price that much ($109) when it went to wmtm, but then it came back (more returns?) and was $69. You just never know.

@ 9:04 PM I did notice that SE Scuba and the sparkle seems nice, pretty subtle. That heather white would be very classic for years to come. I waited a long time to buy a scuba. My first was actually last year's Cuddle Up Jacket, which only comes out around Christmas. I waited for it to go to wmtm and it did! I love it. I have since bought 2 more scubas, an awesome black & white wee stripe and another SE scuba...and again I waited for them to go to wmtm! If you want to play the waiting game, many scubas will make it to wmtm after new year's.

p.s. omgosh! I don't even want to think about Winter! August will be over in a flash and then it's September!

The irony? I'm just getting over a brutal cold right now.

I never end up getting anything in WMTM, not ever, bec. By the time I get there and I check often through the day, everything ends up being SOLD OUT! I'm so excited I scored a Bliss bag and for $69, I couldn't resist! Also, it's a nice colored one at that! :) IM SOOO EXCITED I actually scored one!

Anonymous said...

Wow, speaking of the Bliss Bag, it's back AGAIN in wmtm on both Canada and US sites in 'bold blossoms embossed black'for $69. I'd buy it except I have the solid black one. If you are looking for a great bag, I highly recommend. Very roomy and all the interior and exterior pockets allow for great organization. The long weird strap that doesn't detach is odd, I don't use it. I tuck it away and use the shorter shoulder straps. It's also super as overnight/weekend away bag.

fyi Scuba in deep camo/black dip dye on the Canadian wmtm site for $79, all sizes.

I was also considering the Power Purple define and I already have a Bruised Berry define. I compared both at the store and came to the conclusion that they are too similar. I LOVE Power Purple but I think that between the two, I would reach for my BB Define a lot more. As LLA said in her post, I think everything that looks good with PP looks better w/ BB. is probably my favorite LLL purple, because it looks really good with a lot of colors!

I'm going to hold out for other PP items.

Ingenue said...

Yes, sizing down on the Be Me is key (rhyming too :). I love all three colors. I am wearing them to and from yoga, but will wear with leggings and boots this fall!

Thanks so much for the scuba shopping timeline info. This is my first winter with LLL and it is so helpful to learn the ins and outs of it... Thanks to you all!! It's so hard to know what to buy... Or wait for to go on sale! ah!

@ Minda and yogibabe,

I am SOOOOOO sorry...I just saw the Happy Bday wish from Minda. THANK YOU! I feel terrible that I missed it. I haven't been keeping up w/ the comments lately. Minda, I apologize. I truly appreciate the bday wish. You are a thoughtful, very kind person. Thank you, thank you, thank you for remembering.

Anon August 4 8:19: thanks so much. I think that you're right. Just yesterday I reached for my BB-everything I have looks better I think with BB than Pow Pink. Even my new caspian ziggy XL crb looks great with BB-I think better than it would with PP (when I held it up to both jackets in the store). I am going to wait for more PP items, too.

@ 8:44 AM...there's always another great scuba or other item around the corner lol and you end up wanting them all! On the Scuba, I would make sure you try some on in store (even if you're not going to buy), try solids, wee stripes etc. as they can fit a little differently. Also, latest reviews on the scubas are that they're fitting larger than last years. But anyway, try on so THEN if you decided to wait for them to go to wmtm, you'll know what size you should get without playing a guessing game. The only other thing about wmtm is that it's not always all sizes that end up there, right? It could just be certain sizes, or there could be just a very limited number of items. You'll sort of be able to tell based on what's selling out in regular inventory for a particular colour. If you are determined to get a certain colour at any price even if you see it's sold out on line it doesn't mean it's sold out in stores. I see stuff sold out all the time on line but still in stores (I'm in Toronto.) Good luck!

@ Nik

I actually just got my first Karma piece from Nordstrom yesterday, the novak tank in sky blue (25% off!) and I LOVE it! It's super cute, price was great even if it wasn't on sale and made in Canada. I was about to get the caspian no limit tank but thought the novak could be a good alternative and it is! I love the NLT, but I'm only 5'-4" and feel like there's a touch too much fabric around the waist for me in the size 4. The novak has just the right amount. The bra isn't as supportive as the NLT though, but I only plan on using it for barre or body sculpting class, maybe spin.

I was eyeing some Karma cropped leggings, but I already bought 4 pairs of my favorite crops in the sales (nike and zella). I love LLL tops and jackets, but I just can't justify $80+ workout crops when I have so many other vices (shoes, bags, isabel marant!). I love the nike legend tight fit capris and my fave heathered black color are on sale right now for $37 on the nike site:)

I got my currant power Y in the mail yesterday and it's crazy long, 3" longer than my others to be exact. Super annoyed that I have to take it to the store to get hemmed before I can wear it, it's a tank top sheesh! It did come with cups which was surprising! It's a little thinner than my others but I'm ok with that. The color is gorgeous.

Thanks for all the Karma feedback ladies! I think I may give it a try!

I like the Unity pullover in white with the WU waist quilt in the pic. The girl with the Be Me tee looked good except I don't care for the string in the backs of both these tops. They obviously don't serve a purpose judging by the slack. The only drawback to the Be Me tee is the wrinkly Tencel piece in the back otherwise I think it is classy. It just needs to be ironed.
I have not seen a Unity pu in my store yet. The Be Me tee is too long for me.

I got the unity pullover in black! Love it! Also bought the red power y to go with it. I am on the fence about the ls yogi just cuz of the price.....its nice but 78 seems like a lot to pay for that

I looove all the new colors! They're so vibrant and definitely stands out well! Has anyone ever had any issues with holes forming in the elbow areas? I have a scuba and a cuddle up and they both have holes forming in the elbows!!

Rebecca Sigmon said...

Sorry if this is a repeat, but I just purchased the WU crops with the Currant/Caspian waistband (seen in pics above on the groove shorts). The darker color, commented on as possibly Cranberry is actually looking more like Denim Currant. Also, some of the blues are solid Caspian and some are Caspian embossed chevron. :) Just in case anyone is super curious!
