Upload!!

So many goodies tonight! I ordered the Heathered Power Purple Cool Racerback but was very tempted to get the Flare one and the Power Purple No Limit tank, too. I'd like to try those on in the store, though.

I really like the look of the Team Spirit tank. I definitely want to give this a try at the store.

The Squiggle Wunder Unders were also tempting.

Canada got the new Make A Break Jacket in Currant but we only got the black. I really like the look of this jacket.

What did you all get?

Is the Make A Break Jacket the one on the banner released weeks ago? Looks like it.

Got the ziggy wee flare WUC and ziggy wee greys NLT. I was going to buy the Power Purple NLT but passed since I already have the Caspian Blue (both have the mini squiggle emboss)

I have the flare light crb in my basket and am curious about the crazy new skirt...actually I just want some speeds in the twisted flare please!!

Got the Ziggy Crops & both new CRB colors - the look fun - although I am not really sure what the Flare is going to look like in person

Ziggy crops, Power Purple NLT, and Flare CRB. Light night for me :)

I want the bright at night currant but it won;t let me order it. So I got NLT in power purple, both embossed WUC, Speed squad shorts on gray/black combo, both the swiftly arm warmers, bright at night caspian shorts. OMG.

Seems like the ziggy WUC is on plenty of minds tonight! I got one too and the power purple NLT (yay finally!) and another NLT: the deep coal/ziggy wee greys. Can't help it, just love the ziggy bra with it! :) Will deliberate on the embossed mini squiggle black WUC....

Flare CRB, White Free to Be Bra, Purple NLT, XL Ziggy Grey CRB and some socks! Took me a while to cull the other 10 items from my shopping cart!!! lol

Tifferoo said...

I tried on the embossed WU crop in the black squiggle, and you can only see it barely when super close, as in your face next to your leg close. The embossed dot was much more visible. And, the material was super stretchy, sort of like the ziggys in the sense of not holding you in as much. Basically, they just looked like WU's with a super dark black waistband and somewhat lighter colored legs.

Anonymous said...

I got the power purple crb. I was VERY tempted by the zig-zag scuba.

I love that currant make a break jacket, but I'm kind of relieved it didn't load up on the US side tonight. It will give me more time to think it over!

yogibabe said...

@Tifferoo (love your avatar, btw).
Thanks for the review of the black embossed squiggle WUC. :) I may just wait till my trip to the store this Friday on that one. Will need a look see. I love my black embossed dots and especially my black embossed peacock feather from a while ago, so I was seriously thinking of this one. However, I will hold off till I try it on. Going off to slumber land...nite all!

Swiftly arm warmers! I missed out on the last upload & they weren't in stores in SoCal.

Anonymous said...

The New Run Speed Squad Skirt in Black with the white ruffles looks just like a French maid apron/bottom half! Lol

Anonymous said...

Flare light and Power purple CRBs, and currant turbos (the only currant colored item I HAD to have). VERY disappointed that no angel blue energy bra was uploaded, and was severely tempted by the new Make a Break jacket in the twisted stripe caspian color (CND side only). I am not a runner so this would just be a to and from jacket, so I had to tell myself no even thought it's so cute! I am also very tempted by the speed squad shorts... must resist temptation!

Anonymous said...

Just the heathered Power Purple CRB for me. Tempted by the No Limits but can't justify price if it's not on markdown- Can't use it for running and it rides up on me during yoga. I do love how it fits. SO glad I picked up the Angel Blue energy bra in store- will look cute with my new CRB. I'm on the market for a Scuba for winter and could definitely see myself buying the power purple one. Also- got a concord Scoop Neck NWOT off Lulu Exchange, super excited for that one :)

Power purple NLT, Currant half zip swiftly and the Currant DSPs. Am I the only one that immediately pounced on these pants? Is no one liking them? Oh and do any of you size up from your tts in swiftlys to have more breathing room in tummy?

rileygirl said...

I love this Currant DSPs but I got them in the crops and I am madly in love with them and want to wear them every day!

Anonymous said...

Power Purple NLT and swiftly headband, caspian blue free to be bra. Also liked the look of the bright at night caspian blue shorts but will wait for reviews. I'll probably get the power purple CRB in store as well.

Anonymous said...

Got a power purple NLT. I may keep the tags on and wait to see if it's everywhere at the yoga studio. Tempted by so many things: current DSP, flare light and power purple CRBs, fall quilt WUC...this was a great upload IMO.
I bought a dark purple Scuba knock off from Costco a month ago for $20. Here in Canada, that's almost the sales tax I would have to pay on a Scuba! A Scuba is nicer but if any other addicts have to budget like me, it's an option.

neonmonkey said...

I.got.the purple embossed WUC. Surprised no one got.those... I was just sad I missed out on the normal power purples ;) hoping they are.not mega sheer. I think the studio pants.look.awesome but they are a.foot long on me

MonkeyGirl said...

Nothing for me- I want the angel energy bra! It will look nice with many of my CRBs, and it's the only lulu bra that works for me.

J said...

All I wanted was the Angel Engergy! Where is it?! Will probably get the purple CRB but no rush.

Anonymous said...

I got the ziggy WUCs last week in the store and they are sooo nice and not see through (hooray!). This morning i bought the flare and purple CRBs, the quilted WUCs, and the power purple/black track time crops. I really want that run:team spirit tank!! Wish it came in more colors!

I also really liked the look of the Bright as Night Short but I am not a fan of turbos because the length rubs me the wrong way when I run so I thought the bright as night shorts might be too long for me also and cause the same problem. :(

@neon monkey- i tried on the power purple WUCs and thought they were too shear if that makes you feel better!!! I would LOVE to hear if anyone else is having problems with shear WUCs, or if it is just me.

Anonymous said...

Nothing for me either.....I wanted angel energy bra too for my 38DD girls! LOL....

Anonymous said...

A whole lotta nada... The only thing that's somewhat tempting is the squiggly wunder unders, but I can live without. Yuck! More for yous!

Anonymous said...

Definitely want the Make a Break Jacket in currant but will wait. Will check out those squiggle WU's. Love that embossed pattern.

Anonymous said...

I agree, lots of seemingly great stuff! If I hadn't been so disenchanted the last couple of months...geez, more like 6 months now, I would have easily dropped 400-500 bucks. Red DSP, flare crb, new shorts with the undershorts (love, and I was waiting for something like that), new grooves (and I haven't bought grooves in years), currant half zip, maybe even a couple of the new running tank/shirts, ziggy flare WU....and then some!

But, nothing. I'll take my chances at my local stores. I guess this break just made me realize how much I already own (5 years of collecting), and it's nice to feel so selective these days.

Anonymous said...

I didn't buy anything yet. I think I'm going to wait for an angel blue CRB and something long sleeved in cranberry. We'll see! Good luck shopping, I hope everyone loves their new stuff!

I am NOT...a huge fan of light Luon. With that said, if you buy a tank in a "heathered" color, does it end up feeling any softer, or is it the SAME FEEL, as the regular colors??? I don't like skin tight or clingy, so does sizing up help?! HELP! Thanks!! :)

JEK said...

:( nothing for me. I was tempted by the purple NLT but that tank is not flattering on me and rides up in yoga . I so want to love that top- NLT's look so cute on everyone.

Also, the ziggy WU crops look interesting, but I think I'd tire of them fast. Reds aren't good on me.
I am still waiting for my order from LAST upload. It should get here today. I have two pairs of ziggy WU pants coming.

So disappointed that there are no scoop me up tanks. I am in LOVE with that tank. It's replacing Power Y for me. That's one that I NEED in every color.

Happy shopping everyone.

Sourkraut said...

Yay! Finally something for me this week. I bought my first CRB in power purple. Not sure that I love the color but will decide once it's here. I am secretly hoping the dense purple one we got a peek of at Lulumum comes out soon. I might prefer to own that one over the power purple. I guess I can always try to re-sell it on eBay if it comes to that. We'll see.

Also ordered the power purple NLT but if the support is as loose as the other recent NLT in Caspian blue it'll be a return. My favorite feature of my older NLT is that I can run in it without wearing an extra bra.

Anonymous said...

See that's why I don't own any CRBs in light Luon. I find them so tight...and when you have a bit of a mommy tummy, after having a baby....I wonder if this would be too tight??? Saw a woman wearing a skin tight crb, after having a baby and it didn't look very flattering on her, so that's why this top "scares me" a bit. Wish they still made the MRT. Any feedback?

So many beautiful things on the Aussie side- mega upload!

Jamie Barba said...

I just got the Seaside Dot Bandana. That is seriously the best bandana ever, so I'm snapping up every color.

Other than that, nada. I'm not a big purple person. I really like the Team Spirit Tank, but I'd like to see it in person. I do like the embossed patterns on the WUCs, but I have a hard time buying pants, as it's still over 100 degrees here! I'm addicted to arm warmers, but the price seems a little high to me, especially when I bought Saucony ones for $5!!

I'm headed to Orlando tomorrow for Zumba Convention. I'm thinking about renting a car tomorrow evening so I can hit both the Outlet and the regular store. No, I'm not addicted at all.

Anonymous said...

Can anyone tell if new NLT bra portion is the same as old NLT ones or it has changed to uncomfortable bra??

Anonymous said...

Did anyone try to add the currant or black bright at night shorts to their cart? I can add the other two colors just fine, but the website won't let me add the currant or black even though both are available in my size. I'm trying to figure out if this is a website glitch or my computer. Thanks!

Anonymous said...

nothing, nada, just can't justify the $$$ when the hubs just retired (20 yrs active duty military) and we need to focus on career #2. on a lighter note, look...another pair of MCHammer pants! Disguised as the Modern Tranquil Pants at a bargain price of $92. Because those Om Pants, Amuse Me Pants, Free Fall and Free Mind Crops are just flying off the shelves!

Anonymous said...

My wallet will be a little lighter soon. I am fortunate to have 4 Lulu stores near my home, so I will be heading out by tomorrow to pick up: Power Purple NLT, either the Flash or Heathered Purple CRB (or both!)... and am interested in the Squiggle WUC (but it is not a must have).

Anonymous said...

Anon 5:22am: No, I cannot add the Black or Currant Bright at Night Short on the US Side. All other colors are "cartable". It's not your computer...it's their superlative, state of the art, website. Calling the GEC is your best option, unless you have a store nearby you can get to. Good luck!

I give this product upload 4 out of 5 stars.

Love the new NLT and the CRBs. 5 full stars would have been given if new shades in the Scoop Me Up would have been launched (e.g. Current, Angel Blue, Power Purple). Crossing my fingers that this might be the case next week.

Happy shopping ladies!

LOOK at the modern tranquil....video and when she's putting her cell phone back in her pocket...hit PAUSE and you'll notice, the bottom pocket seam starting to tear!!!! I'm surprised they didn't catch that! LOL... I love the pants, but would probably size down. the front seems so bunchy!

Just the Power Purple CRB for me--I'm trying to be good! Quite intrigued by the new Run: Speed Squad Shorts, but I want to try them on in person first (or at least hear a fit report on how long the under-shorts are). The Run: Team Spirit Tank is cute too--would want to see it another color.

What is going on with this pop orange define?!? Ggggrrrrr. It still has a full size run on the Aussie site, so they might as well give us Northern Americans a shot at it.

Anonymous said...

@Anon 5:22. I just tried adding those shorts to my cart. It wouldn't let me either. Just the currant and black were the problem so definitely a website issue.

@Jamie Barbra. The parking at the outlets is horrendous. I'm not sure where you are staying but if not far and that is your only stop, you may just want to taxi.

Purple embossed WUC and light flare CRB! I'm thinking that combo will either be A) awesome or B) blinding. I'm still waiting for full length ziggy WU.

You West-coast ladies are so funny! Here in NYC, dropped crotch pants (what everyone's calling MC Hammer pants) are VERY in style. I have to say, I've jumped on the bandwagon (love my Liberty Crops, Post Power crops, Harems). My husband HATES them, but SOOOO comfy. He now calls them my ninja clothes. :D

Anonymous said...

WTF!!!! The Currant Studio Pants are sold out on US side (except 2 and 10) - I am SO frusterdated!!!! I have to get up at 3am to check the upload every Monday night to be sure nothing gets sold out by morning on the East Coast!

I was hoping for more Scoop Me Ups in darker, fall colors--navy, cranberry, etc. The new Grooves have Cranberry in there so it has to be coming down the line ... but excited to get last week's upload today :) (finally!) Curious about the angel blue Presence of Mind ... but not for the price. Maybe if it goes on WMTM.

I was waiting for my fiancé to look at the currant DSP and now they're all sold out. :( I even asked the GECs to look to see if any of the SoCal stores have it, and she said no. Sigh. We're both getting frustrated at not scoring currant LLL for my bday/ wedding gift. Ha.

I actually love a lot of items from this upload, but haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet. Hoping to see/ feel some of the items in store first.

Anonymous said...

Still holding out for the flashback hoodie to come online.......... Think it's time to give up?

Anonymous said...

I don't like the snug fit either of the CRB, I just size up to an 8 (normally a size 6) and it is just loose enough in the torso area. Hope this helps!

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 5:04 am - usually the heathered colors are softer. The one exception I tried on a few months ago was heathered coal, I think. I've read reports that the new Flare and Heathered Power Purple CRBs feel very soft.

LuluLily said...

I noticed on the AU site, the "Warrior Pant," is this new? That page doesn't even have any text describing it.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 5:21 am - I bought the pow light NLT and thought the bra felt the same - it was actually very stretchy. However, I think the straps are a little shorter than my other NLTs, and thinner. They kind of dug into my shoulders. I wore a Free to Be bra underneath the NLT the last time I wore it so they didn't bug me as much. If I didn't love the color so much, and tend to wear a bra underneath for extra support I would be selling that NLT on eBay. I don't know if the Caspian and White/Blazer Fossil straps also ran short. It could have just been the Pow for all I know.

LuluAddict said...

@ lululily - I don't think the Currant DSPs have hit SoCal stores this week yet. It might be arriving soon, though.

@ AB - interesting that dropped crotch pants are big in NYC. The only interesting thing I spotted when we drove by Rodeo Drive a couple of weekends ago was a couple of women in red skinny pants. I thought it was funny since that trend was big for kids a year or more ago.

There has been no terry to speak of! No flashback no wraps no hoodies! Anyone know why?!???? Usually by now I would have snagged a sing floss or something cozy! Luckily my method is a timeless beauty! I just wish they would come out with more terry cotton items! NOW!

I have the Caspian NLT and don't see any big difference from my older NLTs. Fit and strap length seems the same although I didn't measure.

On a totally unrelated note, can I call my local store to ask if they have certain products in stock? I hate waiting a week for my lulu to ship, only to find that I need to return it... would rather just not spend the money at all.

Anonymous said...

Are they not going to put the currant dance studio crops on the website at all? :(

Amy b said...

I really wish they would keep everything on the website format least 24 hours and sale sold out if it's gone... Just so you can see what was uploaded. This is the first time I didn't wake up at 1:00 to checkout the upload. It was kinda nice!
I am trying so hard not to buy anything for awhile. Seriously.... I have gone absolutely LLL crazy. I got nothing on this upload! It's so fun to see what all you gals got!
I made my coffee, sat down with my ipadand have loved reading about all of your goodies!

Sourkraut said...

@Anon 7:47 -- Yes, you can call your store but I've read some complaints on Facebook from folks whose stores don't bother to answer the phone. That hasn't ever been an issue for me, though. You can also call the GEC number from Lulu's site and ask them. I've never gone that route but it might be more helpful if you've got a few stores in your area since they can check the inventory of all.

I'm in the same boat as both things I ordered this morning might very well be returned. I wish I could have tried them on first but didn't want to risk their selling out online and my store not getting them in stock.

Anonymous said...

Man, I really don't get the obsession with the Studio Pants and Crops (currant already sold out!). Can someone explain it? To me they just look like wrinkled cargo pants (without the cargo pockets). Not the usual flattering Lulu pants! Are they particularly good for dance or some other activity?

Anonymous said...

The triangle gusset on the WUCs gives me a little CT but I don't get any CT at all with my new Ziggy wee flare WUCs. I wonder if the fabric has something to do it.

Picked up the two new CRBs. I am tempted by the new NLTs but there are no longer size 2s, I am on the fence b/c the 4 is a little too loose. Sigh. NLTs already run kinda big. Why did they have to eliminate the size 2s?

Focus said...

Only the purple crb for me. Went into my local store yesterday and purchased the currant virtuous tank (thanks Yogibabe!). Also purchased a white prettiest pirouette headband (had my girls with me/they always get headbands...I have so many dang headbands!). Angel blue technithong,, my first lulu underwear...I'm so desperate for the color, I'll buy anything:) And finally my Best Practice Backpack!!!! Yay! I love it.
Now if my order containing my unity pullover, currant Crb, my Husband's shirt would get here, I'd feel complete...until next week. Oh yeah, I'm also anxious for my Ray LS swiftly I scored very early one day last
week. Funny how I didn't have to have that swiftly until it was gone from my store and the Lulu site.

Jess said...

I didn't think I would place an order, but I decided on the heathered power purple CRB. Orange just isn't my colour with my blond hair and tanned skin tone, it makes me look like the sun! The ziggy WUC in black caught my eye, but with the gusset, I'm staying far away from the WU's until they fix them!

Actually this was the first thing I've bought from upload in a long time!!! Awhile back I ordered the power purple WUC, the Astro WUC, and the flash WUC and hated the quality (triangle gusset, see-through, poor material), and spent a ton shipping them back, so I stopped my lulu shopping completely. It was nice sleeping soundly through my Monday/Tuesday nights! Prior to that, I was spending hundreds every upload. I've been a lulu shopper now for 6 years and still find the best products I have are from those early years.

Oh, and to who asked why we like the DSP? Well the comfort. They are sooo comfortable. I have 2 pairs, and I love them, but everytime I see my bestfriend wear them I'm jealous as they always look so much better on girls with long legs, which sadly, I do not have!

Focus said...

Regarding DSC and pants, I'm not super certain why everyone loves theirs, but I love mine for the waistband, their versatility, ease and typically the color. I do have to say though that since I wear them as casual clothing that I find the Yoga Camp Crops (from early spring/summer) even better. Love the "cargoesque" pockets (with zippers) fun and functional, and I also feel the back pockets make your bottom look super cute, but that's just my opinion.

@ anon 5;46, Thanks for the tip. I took a cab last year and noticed the parking was intense. Not sure I want to pay for the cab from the hotel to the outlet, then to the mall, and back to the hotel (staying at the Rosen Centre at the convention center). I was thinking it would be cheaper to rent a car & leave me even more money for retail therapy!!!

I use to spend 10s of thousands on Lulu in a year and now I'm lucky I see something that excites me. granted there are some lovely items, but overall....it's the same thing over and over again, just different colors. it's almost like, how many kinds of scarves can you make or does someone really want to own 40 pairs of DSP??? I own 2 DSP and thats enou for me. And harems are kinda cute...but we have seen at least 10 different kinds so far and they are piling up in the outlet stores, because they just aren't selling. Where are all the LUX hoodies, GWraps, reg hoodies without thumbholes (yes, some of us are not lovers of those) and Be Still pants in organic cotton? I'm a lulu lover, but I miss so much of the old Lulu...not to mention the old long Pima cotton shirts for ladies. I have one of my EH shirts...washed 200 times and she looks brand new. All my tops with polyester....6-8 months old, look old and ratty. I hang everything to dry....cold water, ect, ect. No french terry or organic cotton.... I miss....getting excited over the old uploads.

J -- Has anyone noticed that the newer Energy Bras seem to not be as supportive as the old ones? I was just able to try the Angel, and that and the currant one are just not as supportive as my black and paris pink ones.

Also, just got the ziggy crops at my store... wasnt planning to like them but they are surprisingly thinner than I was expecting which means I wont overheat.

@ Focus
I love love love my Yoga Camp Crops for the same reason! I demand pockets so I use those side "cargo" pockets and agree that the butt pockets are more flattering. (They also help w/ VPL since I have yet to find a thong that is truly comfortable for me.)

@J and @Julie - I sized down one size on the Angel Blue Energy Bra and it fits perfectly. I've been using it for kickboxing (lots of running, mountain climbers, squat jumps, etc) and don't have problems with the girls bouncing or the bra pulling down. I usually wear size 8 in Lulu bras but I picked a 6 for the Angel Energy Bra. Hope this helps.

LLA - Yeah, the red skinny pant thing (with white tank, of course!) is huge here right now too, but different crowd (more fashionista/prep). The yoga-hipster-Brooklyn set LOOOVES the dropped crotch. One of my fellow Educators who just transferred from West Hollywood to our store here in Manhattan said they NEVER sold their dropped-waists out in LA, but she sees them flying off the shelves here! I always thought they were kinda ashram-hippy-ish, so I thought CA would be more into them. Maybe they are up in Vancouver? ;)
Ever seen the blog Man Repeller? Hilarious! Def helps explains some of the more questionable designs of late.
There is something weirdly satisfying about wearing pants that make you unattractive. I'm in LOVE with high-waisted, ankle-length, tapered silk pants right now for the same reason.

I stayed up for this upload because I LOVE red!!! I wanted the Studio Crops though. Did I happen to miss those? Also wanted the ray Speed shorts. The store is not that far from me, but it's so time consuming (even for my 15% discount). And I justify buying so much more that I don't really need. I mean honestly how many pairs of black crops can I possibly own? Anyways, last night's upload I got the flare CRB, the coal NLT, and currant turbo shorts. And...the bliss bag in WMTM.

Jamie Barba said...

@Amy B, I agree! It would be nice to know what was uploaded and so I know to be on the lookout for something in stores, especially when I don't happen to need a mid-sleep potty break where I think to check the upload.

Anonymous said...

I'm with Anon 7:57 on wondering about all the big fuss with the DSP and crops. The crops particularly are anything but flattering on all women I have seen them on. And the pants are so wrinkled, baggy and then flare at the bottom half. I have tried and tried to like them and even have read all reviews online, to find out where is it that I have failed to look at, to find the magical properties of this pant. So far I have been unsuccessful. And the shorter you are, the less flattering they become, really. I also find them extremely casual, even for to and from. However, there is a review online stating she loves them because she can go with them from the gym to a "professional" meeting... of fellow dancers?? I wonder in what kind of profession these pants look professional.

A.B. said...

@Kristina - Huh. It really must ONLY be NYC. And India. Yay, keep NYC weird! (to steal an Austin slogan)
BTW, didn't mean to make assumptions about your hometown, jus thinkin the location of lulu design HQ! :)

@Anon 1:41, 7:57 - The Studio pants/crops are CRAAAZY comfy, are MUCH lighter weight than luon pants (even the ones with a liner), and are PERFECT for women with no/flat booties. Seriously, they are a booty-miracle-worker. It was never my style either, until I tried them on. They're great for casual wear and days when you just aren't feelin WUs (ahm, monthly). They're one of those products I bring to first-timers, who scoff, then it ends up being their only purchase. ESP for women >35, Studios are usually a slam dunk.

@Focus
Glad you've managed to snag a Virtuous tank in currant. I heard that they are all sold out everywhere. :) BTW, do you have to size up in this tank? I stayed TTS and my friend who has a completely different body type than I, (I'm a 32A/34AA and slender but proportionately curvy. She is 34DDD and super curvy.) also stayed TTS. I was just surprised that almost all the reviews of the Virtuous tank online mentioned that the tank is super tight and a "must size up" item. I just hate to have misled other peeps on the fit for the Virtuous, but my review was true for me and my friend. Just curious as to how it fits you.

In regards to the popularity of the DSP, it is just too long and too much fabric for me. For a similar style of pants, I love the Quick Step pants. The bum area is super flattering with the back pockets and that cute "downward swoop" thing that flatters. I especially like the two way cinch on the pants bottom. One to adjust the length and the other, to cinch the leg opening close, if I choose too. Have three pairs of these and am always trolling ebay for another NWT pair at a decent price.

OT, just received my order from Athleta from their sale that is still going on now. The Ananda crop in heathered black (oh so very soft, $44.99) and lotus capri in black (a huge bargain at $24.99) are definite keepers. The Ananda will give the Gather & Crow a run for lulu's money and the Lotus is more like the WUC with a cute "unopened lotus-like blossom" leg opening. Have not put them to the test yet, but the preliminary try outs look promising. :) I am a 2 in lulu bottoms and the XXS fits great for the Athleta.

To all those negative Nellies concerning DSP & DSC:
You don't have to love them but you don't have to be so condescending about them either. I'm sure there are things that you like that others do not understand or agree. That's the great thing about the diversity of life, we are all different with different likes and desires. No one is right or wrong, good or bad. Just be.

I have most of the DSC's and 2 of the DSP's and I like them a lot. I don't love them like a few of my Lulu stuff but they deliver when I wear them. The crops look great with flats or espadrille pumps. The pants are really quite long for a 5'2" person. I wear mine to zumba when I'm not out and about. I usually iron mine just so I don't look so dressed down. I usually pair it with a short top not necessarily from Lulu. It does get wrinkly especially around the stitching which I think looks good in a sort of weird way but I am the type who irons my sheets and pajamas so that's that. When I see someone wear these in public it always looks good on them. I don't think I will be wearing them to professional (business casual) meetings not that I have any to go to.
I think what happens is these are so comfortable you want to wear it all the time.

I love DSP! Currant will be my 4th pair and I have 2 pair DSC. so so comfy and very flattering on the backside. I always get compliments every time I wear them. They are on the longer side but not so bothersome for someone 5'6". I understand how they might swallow someone 5'2" :)
I recommend trying them if you haven't. Very versatile.

@ yogibabe 4:10, I'm with you on the Quick Step pant. I love them! Unfortunately I only have one pair and have not yet resorted to ebay etc. I find them very tailored, neat (and flattering) which I still desire in a casual pant. I'm not knocking the Studio Pant (or crop) at all, I have tried them but too long and they would not get worn over my Quick Step pant. I have friends who have the Studio pant and absolutely love them.

Are the white DSPs the only pair that are lined? I love the lining and am anxious for another pair!

Did anyone notice the blue Energy bra in the Sports Bras topper photo? Bruised Berry? Dense Purple?

In regards to the banner picture in the sports bra section, the bra is the Free To Be in bruised berry. It was uploaded a few uploads ago (3-4 uploads?). I prefer the Free To Be bra to the Energy. I think it is a better bra for me as I am an A cup. The Energy's great support seems overkill for my little ones! ;)

@Anon 7:29 There WAS a Dune Studio Pant and Crop (I have both, because for me Dune = Khakhi and khaki goes with EVERYTHING), both were lined, there are usually some available on ebay. Lulu generally reserves the lining for the light-colored Studios to keep them from being see-through. So if we get some more light colors, I imagine they will be lined.

I get all the haters....I used to loathe leggings as pants and frumpy capris. I have a closet full of premium denim. But I turned forty, had a baby, and became a SAHM. Studio cops and WU are my best friends!!!

I live in a very hot climate, and the Studio Crops are very light but I can wear them to work too (casual wear is the norm). I'm not a shorts person, so they are nice when I'm out and about. I prefer the fabric of the SCs over the Om pants, which is more slick and not as soft IMO.

I got the Currant Engage bra, and purple CRB. I noticed my store marked most of their running crops on clearance so I picked up two pairs instead of more of this upload.

OMG -- all this DSC/P talk made me think there might be a DSJ in Currant coming this year.... that would be so awesome!

Love love love DSC and Yoga crop. Not the most stylish, I agree!!! But so comfortable. My husband and I just returned from South East Asia(Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand). The crops were perfect. Quick to dry and easy to wash. And modest enough for temples and places of worship(no shorts).

I live in Vancouver and see them all the time. Especially in dance studios and the gym.

Same could be said for everyone ragging on the drop crotch crops/pants. It's not everyone's cup of tea but obviously there's a market for them otherwise why would Lulu keep making them? I'm not a fan personally of drop crotch bottoms or DSC/DSPs but all the more power to you if you do. There's something for everyone; no need to put down other people's preferences.

@Anon 1:21 - I must have missed it. Who was putting them down? Last I checked, we were just discussing whether or not we see many people wearing them regionally. I was interested to see if it was a certain area or subsegment of the yoga population who wears them. Sorry if I offended!

Looks like lulu isn't the only company having issues with sheerness! lol

OMG! And she is not even bending over, simply walking. But I think she sized down like two or three sizes too small!!

Anonymous said...

Kim's crops are Splits59 leggings. I have the same ones and they are not sheer on me! Kim's been photographed wearing Lulu bottoms, like the Inspire crops, and she seems to have the same problem with those. Size up, girl!!

Anonymous said...

Yea, she needs to size up but I wonder if she does then the legs would be loose thanks to her very uhm, generous behind.

@ Christie
Yikes! Perfect example of how gals are wearing their yoga pants stretched to the max. I see it at the gym too. Not pretty.
