Coco Softshell Now in WMTM and Random Lulu Photos

I think a few of you might be signed up for the Disney World Marathon in January. I got to see the medal for it yesterday at the Disneyland Half Marathon Expo. It's a special medal since it's the 20th anniversary of the race. The gorgeousness of this medal almost makes me want to sign up for the full - lol. It's very big and blingy, just a beautiful medal. If any of you are running the Disneyland Half tomorrow I will be at my husband's run club's tent on the course cheering you on. I know the Disney race won't be the fashion parade that the Sea Wheeze was but it'll be interesting to watch a race that is three times it's size.

FYI - Black and Currant Coco Softshells now on the We Made Too Much Section of the website for $99.

Speed Squad Tank in Pigment Blue Tonka Stripe and Milky Way Speed Squad skirt.

Milky Way Scoop Me Up Tank. I tried on the Milky Way Power Y yesterday and liked it better than I thought I would. I can't say I love the new length of the Power Y. It now comes down to below my crotch. I think I'm going to have to look at sizing down in this tank since the fit and fabric has changed.

Calm SS Tee with 105F crops. I tried this on yesterday, too. I don't like the hiked up look in the back on me but it looked really cute on the one ed that tried it on for me. I much prefer the Pigment stripe Burnout Tee I tried on yesterday. I keep thinking about it.

Pigment Scoop Me Up tank paired with Milky Way Wunder Under pants. I was very tempted by the Pigment Blue Cool Racerback yesterday. It was on the thicker side but not a super soft one. It didn't feel bad or anything but not super soft. The color is such a gorgeous dark purply blue.

I bought the black Coco Softshell 2 weeks ago for the full price ($228) and was totally shocked to see it on the sale rack at my local store. I waved over an employee and asked "What happened???". She said that they were shocked too when they saw it on the list of markdowns that morning, and that the reason they'd been given was that stores needed to make room for an upcoming new coat/jacket. My store was fantastic and gave me an immediate price adjustment with no hesitation.

@ Maggie May - that is great that you got the price reduction. It's a nice chunk of change.

I got a reduction too, even though I had passed the return time frame. It was a very pleasant surprise and greatly appreciated. I really didn't have high hopes when I asked.

To me the coco softshell looks like they either forgot half the jacket, or you just received a hand me down from a cousin who is twice your height.

Same with the weird uptucked in the back top. Why? Is there some practical use for a shirt in this style that I'm missing? Because otherwise it seems to do little else than say "HEY! Half this shirt is gone so you will be sure not to miss my ass!"

I love my Pigment Blue CRB. It is thicker than some recent CRBs and it looks awesome with my light & dark heathered gray WU crops.

I also picked up the speed squad skirt in RED at my local Lu. It has red shorts and red skirt. Not sure if I am keeping it, might not work with a lot of my tops.

I would love to see more colors of the Speed Squad shorts. I am surprised by how often I wear them.

I got a Coco price adjustment too.

LLA, just being curious... Do the Eds at your store know that you're LLA? Or is it a secret identity like a super hero? Lol. You're like Lulu Wonder Woman! :)
I love this blog, btw. Thanks for all you do!

I purchased the coco softshell online on august 14th at full price. I just called GEC and they would not give me any price adjustment because that is not their policy. I asked if I could return the jacket and she said no as it has been over two weeks.

I also got lucky. I saw the coco marked down at the store and thought I was out of return time. However I saw I was still able to print the return online as it usually disappears when it's past the time. Printed it as a backup if the store didn't take it but I got lucky as I told them I must still be under return policy. They happily took it back as long as the tag was still intact and I ended up buying the Serenity sweater with the difference! It was nicely Birthday present for me this weekend!!

@ anon 5:54a m - I think most of them know who I am by now, at least the regulars.

Disney isn't the fashion parade, but lots of people wear costumes. That's a blast to watch!

I initially purchased the Coco softshell when it first came out (full price of course) but after bringing it home and trying it on with a few long sleeve pieces, I didn't love it. It was tight at the shoulders and was plain, IMO. So I returned it. At the sale price, I still don't want it. Glad that a lot of you were able to score this jacket at the sale price. Also goes to show that if you have a store near you and make friends with them, they will treat you well. I really like all of the ladies at my store.

@anon2:45 am. Me too. I love the speed squad shorts but the coal was the only one that worked for me. The other color combos looked puffier than the coal. I was bummed about this since I was determined to buy all the colors like I did the speed squad tanks. I love them. I am waiting for more shorts so I can try them to see if they have a different look on me. Right now I am really liking the reverse groove shorts from the last upload (Currant and Deep Indigo?).
OT: The GEC always have vague answers and are on the defensive most of the time. That's why we all need to have good relationship with our eds at the stores. I love mine. One of them went to sea wheeze and tried to buy me some stuff in my size but all was sold out. It's the thought that counts. She warmed my heart.

I did the same...also purchased 8.14 and got the same response along with, "well there's been two rounds of new product since then." That's why I took it to my store. I thought maybe since they would recognize me as a regular customer it would help and they gave me the adjustment. GEC wasn't going to budge at all!

Mine was the same, bought on 14th. Called GEC totally useless as per the usual. Got the same policy bs. Took it to my store and got the adjustment on a gift card.

I like the look of the Coco softshell but I seriously do not need another jacket! It would only get worn a bit so even at the sale price, I can't justify it. I'm not totally swooning over it but have no criticisms. It's cute and I think it's a certain time/certain outfit jacket. It's great if you got it at the reduced price!

As for the GEC vs. the stores accepting returns or doing price adjustments. I'm not an expert but the on-line store is run by entrepreneurs vs. the stores are run by corporate? The stores used to get penalized/impact to their sales for accepting back on-line stuff? Maybe since all the bleeding and other quality issues corporate has decided to be reasonable and allow in store (of on-line stuff) returns and some price reductions without a hassle? Certainly a price adjustment and credit to the customer for the Coco is warranted! It's probably also true that if you're a regular they are more apt to be more helpful. I haven't had to return much (no problems) or needed an adjustment, but I know they recognize me when I shop.
