LLA have you deleted from your blog the email address for the lulu angels in Canada? I think that for the first time I need their assistance, but now can't find their email address. Does anyone have it? Thank you
OMG - I am so happy abuout this. these are my fave. i became a lulu addict just as they were phasing these out. now, if only they will bring back the fast in flight tote and the sing floss travel jacket, my world will be complete.
I have yet to find a pair of LLL shorts that I'm in love with.. but I don't think I have tried this style on.. Anyone care to tell me what they love about these?
Can someone explain the difference between the groovy run and the turbos and/or tracker? I did not buy any groovy run's in the past, so I'm curious to know why they are so beloved! Thanks very much!
I love groovy run shorts, because they're super comfortable, as well as being ultra flattering. I think the turbos are comfortable, but I don't find them flattering as on me they flare out at the bottoms of each side. I prefer the more streamlined look of the speeds, but I find them a tad too short. In my opinion, the groovy is the best of both worlds: comfort, medium rise, flattering....they're the only shorts I've loved from lululemon.they fit TTS. The groovy run short also doesn't have that seaming across the butt that speeds & turbos have, so I think, on me, they just 'hang' better-the simplicity works for me, yet they still have a cute fit, shape, look, etc. this is all just my opinion.
Can the people who have these please describe what they like about them? maybe a comparison to the turbo, speed or groove shorts. They look really good in this picture although I should take a break from my LLL addiction. in the last week I have spent $500 just on lulu, even though I have been working out a lot more due to the fact that my outfits are comfy and cute.
Does anyone know if these have a pocket that an iphone can fit in?! I've been on the hunt for a pair and yesterday just took the tags off the black turbos I had bought and ran holding my phone - ugh. I don't like band things, I'm a pocket girl! Or should I grab the Punyas on ebay? Thanks very much for info!! -vanessa
@vanessa - grab a pair of bright at night shorts, or if you don't mind not having liner, the sun sprinter shorts. I, too, am a pocket girl- I've become super selective in my running bottoms these days...must have an iPhone sized pocket! (which means no speeds, inspires, or fast and frees for me....seriously lulu, it's time to get with technology and make those back pockets big enough to fit the most popular cell phone...). The bright at night have 2 leg pockets, and each fits my iPhone...the sun sprinters just one pocket. I have both pairs and love them!
Vanessa - I have an older pair of Groovy Run Shorts and I can fit my iphone, in it's case inside the zippered back pocket...there's not a whole lot of wiggle room, but it will fit.
I haven't tried running with it back there, it does make the waistband heavy, if that makes sense!
Hopefully the new ones will still have that large of a back pocket.
I picked up two pairs of groovy run shorts at SeaWheeze. Find that they fit a bit higher (not much) than the turbos and they don't pouf out. About the same inseam as the turbos, so for those (like me) who do not want ultra-short shorts, it's the perfect length. I have a pair in two-way stretch and one in four-way. Find that the four-way is much lighter and doesn't ride up. Thinking I'll wear them (melon stripe) in my next marathon.
Pockets aplenty. And the zipper fits my iPhone (I take it out of the case so it fits easier). The weight doesn't bother me as it fits right up against the small of my back. Two additional gel pockets on the waist band.
I tried the bright as night as well and found they were just too big in the legs. The groovys are just perfect for me.
oh man if the groovy run shorts fit an iphone AND have a liner i officially want a ton of them. I hate shorts with no liners but get really frustrated that I can't put my iphone into the pocket of my inspire crops, speed or turbo shorts :(
Sophia & Anon 12:27 - Thanks so much for the info! My favorite crops right now are the run in the sun as they have two zipper side areas that my iphone fits in one and a cc or whatever in the other and it doesn't bounce around (also no back zipper so I can wear it from yoga/pilates straight to a run!). I did try the bright at night shorts and they looked ridiculous on me for some reason (I have go-go gadget chicken legs), but haven't tried the sun sprinters...I also have an old pair of polocrosse crops that work well too, just attempting to venture into the shorts/skirts running world recently. Looking forward to a phone test with the new groovy ones - just ordered an iphone 5 which is thinner but longer than my old iphone 3, hoping that doesn't make it harder to fit into these types of pockets! Anyway, thanks for taking the time to give me advice, much appreciate it! -vanessa
@vanessa - the run in the sun crops are my fave too! it's suprisingly difficult to find a pair of medium rise, calf-length luxtreme crops with iphone sized pockets....but yeah, i love them!
if you find the bright at night too big in the leg, you'll also probably find the sun sprinter too big, too (i have large muscular thighs and so the larger leg opening suits me). if you're interested in skirts, though, i have 2 of the run a marathon skirts - they have pockets on the thighs os the undershorts that fit my phone (no zipper, just drop-in pockets, but it does the trick). the light as air skirt (which is on wmtm right now) looks like the re-incarnation of the run a marathon skirt.....not sure if it has the thigh pockets or not, but it might be worth taking a close look at the photos/description to find out since it's on sale! it's my favorite running skirt.
good luck with your groovy runs - hope your phone fits!
@Sophia - Thanks so much for the further info on shorts and skirts! I will check it out. I'm not feminine and rarely wear skirts in general, but seems like it might work for running for some reason. I also was looking at the dart and dash on WMTM but don't think they're that different from crops and they might be way short on me (and I have CT-phobia).
I think worn once turbos will be going on eBay!
I'm just getting back into running after a 15 year absence and a back injury last year, so treating myself to workout clothes I like is important to keep the motivation going! (My hubby thinks I'm nuts so its really nice to have this space to communicate with folks who get it.)

YAY!!! My favorite!
Can't wait.
FYI my flare/tonka speeds fit a LOT smaller/shorter than my others. I usually stay TTS but would have to size up to 10 in these

Yay! Was introduced to these from the old blog posts and hoped they would make a comeback--they look freakishly comfortable.

never tried them, but I've heard a lot of good thing about them.
I'm a LLL newbie, can you tell me more details about these? What fabric? How long is the inseam? Etc.
Thanks!!!! :)

The groovy run shorts are slim fit like the speeds. I size up in the speeds and the groovy runs and wear normal size in the turbo run shorts.
